Generating FM signals on multiple slots

I am attaching a VI for FM signal generation using one NI Slot. (eg. Slot 10)
Similarly we need to create a VI for FM Signal Generation using Multiple slots (using this we can perform tune up / seek up operations etc).
Is there any method to do this programatically ?

Hi,
A couple of questions for you
1. What are you using Device? (Assuming PXI what chassis and controller)
2. What modules? (PCI cards)
Just to clarify what you are trying to achieve. You have successfully generated FM signals on 1 module (PXI card) and now you wish to programatically replicate this code on the other modules.

  • Generating PWM signal using Signal Express

    Hi,
Would anyone help in generating PWM signal usinf Signal Express 2.5.1.   I am using a cDAQmx and connected NI 9472 to the slot number 6 to output the PWM signal. Also I have connected a NI 9421 to the slot number 5 to acquire the PWM signal, so that I could verify the signal.
So would you please let me know how could I generate a PWM signal using Signal Express without any LabVIEW Programming. Please help me out.

    HI Aamruth,
I atached a project, where you can see how to do it. I hope this helps.

  • Fi Document is not generating in MIGO for multiple account assignment in PO

    Hi,
I have have created  asset po DG set 111 quanity is 4, i have created 4 different assets and assign quanity 1 to each dg sets in account assignment. While doing GRN system is not generating FI document for this po. if  i am giving one quanity or single account assignment for as 4 then it is generating FI quantity.
PLease help me out why system is not generating FI document for multiple accont assignment in MIGO.
    Thanks in advance
    KISHORE

    Hi
There is no option if you are not on EhP4... Do MIRO and see if the FI doc is generated
Only way is to do MIRO immediately after MIGO.. OR Schedule ERS (Evaluated Receipt Settlement) which runs every hour in the background so that MIRO is posted automatically based on MIGO document.... Basically, you have to do MIRO after MIGO.. Whether you do it manually or through ERS is a matter of choice

  • How to generate a signal like this on PCI-6202 DAQ card

I want to generate a signal like the one in the attached picture.
    Which have inputs like
    1. Frequency
    2.Duty cycle
    3. No of pulses
I have created a file which gives the signal like the other one in the end which has frequency of 200us and duty cycle of 0.5% that is 1us On and 199us signal off. Now i need to include some sort of condition that when the button is pressed then the signal of the require frequency, duty cycle and no of pulses is created as input by the user on the front panel, like the one which are first part of the signals in the picture below.

  • Can myRIO generate PS_ON signal to turn on a PC?

I am working on an autonomous robot running on myRIO and a mini PC. The robot has a power ON toggle switch. However, the motherboard requires a momentary switch PS_ON signal. I wonder if myRIO can generate this signal via its MXP pins. If it's possible, I'm planning to load this VI as a start-up program to power on the whole system.
I'd appreciate any input or previous experience.

    Hi kvanpv
I think there should be no problem for you to set the myRIO to generate the PS ON Signal, as long as you check that the electrical requirements of the motherboard are covered by the MXP pins of the myRIO. Does the signal have any particular timing requirements?

  • How to generate two signals using NI myDAQ

    Dear Sir:
I designed a circuit to generate a sine wave successfully using Labview. What I want is using NI myDAQ to generate another 3V DC signal as a power supply. I can do this seperately but when I add them together there is an error:  NI Platform Services:  The specified resource is reserved. The operation could not be completed as specified.
I would like to use A01 to generate a sine wave and A02 to generate a DC wave, could you please check my file and tell me how to solve this problem. I found a solution which generates two signals together but what I need is to control these two signals seperately and using two channels.
    Kind Regards

  • Search data in a 2d array and generate a signal when found

Hi, i am looking for an interactive way to search data from an array containing a 2d array found in a cluster. The data is in the 2d array. I have attached the vi containing the array. I want an interactive method to look up for the codes in the 2d array(found in the 1st row) and when found generate a signal to tell it has been found. The signal varies depending in which category was data code found (whether engineering, law or others). Btw the data i am looking for are in fact input using a barcode reader. Should i use a search 1d array function? or is there another method?

  • How to generate GPS signal continuous

    Hi,
I encountered a problem recently and I need your help. A customer used a PXI-5671 to generate GPS signals to test a receiver. The problem was like this:
    1) When we used actual GPS signals instead of simulated signals generated from the PXI-5671, the receiver functioned normally.
    2) When we streamed bin file to generate signals repeatedly using the PXI-5671, the receiver could receive correctly for the first time, while at the rest of it the receiver couldn't receive the signals nor display how many satellites there were and what the signal strengths were.
I supposed, that this was due to the reason that the timestamp for the second time was earlier than that at previous time. How do we generate GPS signals continuously with the timestamps updated?

    Hi,
When you stram from a bin file repeatedly, it will run first time but will lose lock because when it comes tothe beginning of the file, its time suddenly jumps and the receiver does not accept this. For example, lets say your bin file is from GPS time t1=0 to GPS time t2=30000s. When you loop back around the file, the time increases from 0 to 30000 and then jumps back to 0 and that is not acceptable by receiver. You will need a direct streaming from 5671.
I can put that up for you soon if you want.

  • Can I use RoboHelp to support localization and generate help files in multiple languages?

    Hi,
Can I use RoboHelp to support localization and generate help
    files in multiple languages?
Can I define a layout or template for RoboHelp to insert
localized strings into the template and generate a localized help
    file?
    Thanks!

Hi newbie_r and welcome to the RH community.
You don't say what version of RH you have but the latest
version (RH7) has Unicode Support that allows you to produce help
files in most languages. The exceptions are mainly the right to
    left languages (e.g. arabic, hebrew).
As far as the template is concerned, you can assign any text,
image to a template and it will be applied to any topics you assign
    the template to.
If you haven't already, I'd download the trial version and
experiment a bit. Set up a template with what you want and then
create a couple of simple help files containing just a few topics
each. That will reassure you of RH7s capabilities in this
    area.

  • EtherChannel Across Multiple Slots

The examples I have seen for EtherChannel always bundle multiple ports on the same slot.  It seems that bundleing ports across multiple slots would increase the resilency.  For example when linking two core switches together.  I assume this would allow the link to stay up if the card in a given slot failed.  Is this supported?  If so, are there any concerns?

Across slots is indeed done to increase resiliency.
Concerns?  Yes, on some chassis, different cards may have different QoS architectures.  You may have to configure platform to ignore this.  Also, you can channel across different media (fiber and copper).
At least on 6500 VSS, ingress traffic will use same 6500 egress link (this to avoid transiting VSL).

  • How to generate PSK signal via IFRIO

Hi, i want to ask is anybody know how to generated PSK signal via IFRIO.
I already generate PSK signal and analyse it using modulation tool kits but how to configure IFRIO to make it send out this signal?
    PSK signal detail:
    BPSK with symbol rate 4000bps
    modulated by 16KHz carrier.
    Thanks.

    Hi
precisely i have no idea what is the sampling rate of the signal. I just want to generate the signal with constant amplitude based on the actual sampled signal. is it possible to achieve?.

  • Generate PSK signal without out of memory error

    Hi all,
I want to generate a PSK modulated signal with message bits length much larger like over IM bits atleast. I have to first generate the message bits, diffrentially encode them and modulate them at the end. But when I give larger length of bits to the input of PSK modulation vi, it gives me an out of momory error.
What I am doing to get rid of this out of memory error is... I generate 128k message bits using MT generate bits vi, Encode them and modulate them using MT PSK modulate vi and write the modulated signal data repeatedly in the binary file using binary file write vi that I placed within a for loop with loop count of 20 so that I writes modulated signal data for (20*128k= 2.56M encoded bits). But doing so introduces phase discontinuity.
Can anyone suggest a better way of generating PSK signal with message bits atleast 1M and without the out of momory error?
Any kind of help would be highly appretiated.
    Best regards

    Hello Sandee,
The problem here is that when attempting to modulate a large number of bits in a single shot is that you are using the number of bits * samples per symbol * 24 bytes of memory just in creating the message and the modulated signal. In your case if you are using 16 samples per symbol this would require 384 MB of memory for a 1-shot operation of a 1M-bit message.
Luckily this problem has been taken into consideration within the Modulation toolkit (MT). If you take the MT PSK Transmitter VI example that is installed with modulation toolkit you can make some small modifications to implement your desired functionality.
By placing the code within a for loop and wiring the first call VI to the reset inputs of the MT VIs you can reset the VIs on the first iteration of the loop and be able to use the previous iteration states for further iterations. Also, to prevent losing samples due to filter delay you need to make sure to flush the buffers (an input to the MT Modulate PSK VI) on the last iteration.
Let me know how this goes in your specific application.

  • Analysing and generating a signal

    Hello,
I am using NI Multisim 13.0.I want to generate a signal similar to the one shown in the attachments acquired using labview which is the output of a phototransistor. The output image contains 10 signals each contaning each acquired by using 1k samples and below freq images shows freq components only 1 signal of 1k sample. From the images it can be analysed that it has DC volatge of 2.6V but I am confused as it contains different frequenices and most(very high number) of the frequencies are lying below around 1Hz and some are lying at  around 135 and others at 275 to 300 and very less number of other frequency components.
What all things to be taken to generate these kind of freq's and How to add these different kind of frequencies to the DC component so as to generate the signal that will be same as in the shown image.
I want to genearte this signal in multisim as this will used as a input for designing the filtering stage in multisim.
    Thanks.

    Hi Tien P,
I am trying to read the samples in .LVM (that are saved using 'one header only while' writing into .LVM file) that has samples for more than 1 sec duration since 1sec duration has 1k samples so more samples will be there for more than 1 sec as shown in the attached file. But When I am trying to read this into the multisim uisng LVM voltage source it only showing 1 sec samples waveform (as shown it the attached image)and after that it is not plotting anything but it is supposed to plot the as many samples that are in the .LVM file.
Can I know how to read all the samples form the .LVM file.
    Thanks.

  • Generate a signal at 3kHz that has packets of sinusoidals themselves generated at 50kHz

Hi, I would like to write a vi to generate a signal which consists of packets at 3kHz of 50kHz sinusoidals with the NI-FGEN PCI 5401.
