Generating Symbolic Number at the time of Syndication

Hi! All
I have the following user requirement:
The Material number in one of the client system is in the following format-
70000-00001, which is a symbolic number. There are already 54000 records in that particular system. These records needs to be cleaned by MDM and then syndicated back to the respective system with the number being generated in the same format ie. symbolic number and also if any record is added further, it should generate the number in the ascending order. For Eg. 70000-00001, 70000-00002, 70000-003, etc.
Please suggest me the best possible solution. Thanks in advance for the same.

hi,
if you have AUTO ID field in the main table. It will generate number for each record in the ascending order only.
for example:
700000-00001 for this record the auto id is 001 .
when ever you are syndicating, you can use Cust Items property in the syndicator ( concatenation of two fields).
you can set custom delimiter for custom items.
EX:
1.create a custom item( ex: custom number ), in that custom tab, you can create the formula, click on that formula,
2.select the fields, you want to concatinate, ( in our example: material number and auto ID,), this custom filed you find in the source items.
3.map this Concatinated field to Destination item.
4.and you can synicate

Have you shared your AppleID with anyone - family member or spouse? Any given AppleID can only be associated with 10 devices at a time (five of which can be computers). Once you reach that limit, the 90 day timeout applies before that AppleID can be associated with another, new, device.

All you can do is wait the 90 days, sorry but I know of no way around that. If you think the message indicates an error though, then use the Express Lane web support pages to send a note to the AppleID support folks.

can any one give solution for ,how to generate BP number for the employee from ECC to CRM other than active status,as i downloaded employee data from ECC to CRM through ALE/IDOC,as only active employment status employees are got BP number generated,remaining also transfered to CRM but BP number is not generated for those employees,these employee records i can able to see in the HRP5580- HRP5587 tables.

Generating next number from the SQL database using java

Hi friends, I have a problem and need your help. I am working on a project about submitting claims form through the adobe PDF file and SQL database. I have problem working on a web service (written in java) that will generate the next Invoice Number from the SQL Database table. The field type for the column is text(var char). *Example: I first need to get into the table and search for the last Invoice number in the table and if the last invoice number in the table from the database is 3, i would want to generate the next number which is 4 and filled it up in the PDF file through web service that i am implementing. Can you all provide me some guidelines on how to implement this method in my web service?

far simpler to use a sequence generator, which most databases support.
Suggested method to get the max value in the column is NOT secure, unless you lock the entire table for update before you do so, which is a severe performance penalty.

How to auto generate SFC Number(using the Old SFC Num) when I split a SFC

when I split a SFC (SFC Number:A001), I want to auto generate the new SFC number, and the new SFC number pattern is A001-01 (the prefix is old SFC number). I don't know how to do.

SFC ID is actually a key field so I would suggest you following [Note 1363812|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1363812] "SAP ME 5.2: Key Field Character
Restrictions" to use only legal characters in Next Number patter. If the system does not generate serialized SFCs in accordance with the patter even in this case, then it is definitely a bug.
Per on-line help: "SFC Number Serialize - the pattern that uniquely identifies the serialized SFC number during serialization, split, or relabel"

Timestamp generated by javascript turning the time to zeroes

Hello,
I'm trialing Adobe Acrobat XI for my company and am trying to create a form with a unique timestamp using this script:
var f = this.getField("UniqueID");
f.value = util.printd("mmddyyyyHHMMss", new Date());
However the HHMMss part of the output keeps turning to zeroes so it will look like:
08302013000000
Instead of (For example)
08302013223231
The time does however appear when the box is selected but when it is deselected it goes back to 000000 as the time.
This is an issue as these time stamps need to be unique every time as this form will be used more than once per day.
Any suggestions on how to fix this? I'm still really new to Javascript.

Where did you place this script exactly?
I set it under the fields calculate setting, under custom calculation script.
Did you set the format category to anything?
I set the format category to date, then custom and set it up as mmddyyyyHHMMss
Clearing the formatting fixed the issue.

Added below procedure in it.

"Exist Req" Column in Serial number profile: overview is unchecked / not selected as the requirement is, serial numbers should be entered during a business transaction but not as master data.
Hence didnot use t code IQ0 and created any serial number for material.
Assigned Serial profile in Sales tab and General plant 2 view of Material master.
After i create Sales order, i am Unable to populate serial number in VL01N (Delivery). i,e ..in Our bound delivery--> extras--> serial number..i click but ..i donot see ant fileds where i can enter serial numbers manullly.
Is there any setting iam missing?

Name of Function Module Exit: EXIT_SAPLIPW1_001
Name of Include : ZXQSMU01

This user exit can be used to create the serial numbers automatically for material of a production order. Number of serial numbers generated will be equal to the total number of quantity. The purpose behind development of this user exit was to attach prefix in each serial number generated.
so as per your requirement you can generate serial number like ABC0001 etc.
Process Steps:
For exit: EXIT_SAPLIPW1_001
1. Get serial number profile for a material in respective plant.
2. Check if the profile is u2018XYZu2019.
3. If profile is u2018XYZu2019 generate the serial numbers for the given quantity of material in production order.

1. Get the serial number profile using function module 'MARC_SINGLE_READ' for a material.

I have maintained the same for my Order Type in OPJ2 but still the same is not being picked at the time of Order Confirmation and it is being put to COGI mentioning the error as No batch specified in production order
Also if i try to Manually Select the Batch through in Goods Movt. of CO15 it is giving a msg that No Strategy could be found.
I have done following settings:
1. Have maintained Condn Records in MBC1 for the component whose batch is to be determined.
2. In material master in MRP2 Batch Determination: 2
3. In OPL8: Batch determination search procedure
4. In OPJ2: BD ticked for that relevant Order Type
5. In OPKP: Automatic Batch creation kept as BLANK.

Hi,
Follow the steps:
1.Field---VFDAT adn table-MCHA should be created as a charecter in CT04signed to a class in CL02N.
2.create MM01 and add the class to it in classification view.
3.In mm01 plt storage1 view give data for remainning shelf life and total shelf life and in purchasing view activate batch management.
4.OMJ5- activate SLED for your plant and mvt type 201.
5.opj2- set BD for your plant.
6.create sort sequence in cu70 and assign your charecteristic value to it.
7.create batch serch strategy in MBC1 for access sequence(plt/matrl/mvt typ) create a condition record.
8.Do a GR using 501 and enter SLED related details.(production date and exp date values)
Repeat the above step and enter diffrent values for SLED details.
So now two batches are created with SLED as the charecteristic.
9.Do a GI using 201 mvt tye in MB1A and enter * in batch field(system will determine the batch using the SLED value basedon the criteria(ascending or descending which was set in the sort rule.)
