Get the raw/column number of a left-mouse clicked table cell

is this possible to get the row/column number of
a cell where a mouse is clicked? Accutally, i want to implement a
dynamic one column list which the user can "Add" or "Delete" some entries. The
"Add" function is all right. The "Delete" function
makes me upset because I cannot catch the cell's location where the
mouse is choosing. I tries to use "Active Cell", it seems does not
work. Do you have any clue? is this possible to implement the dynamic list using the "listbox"? thanks

I would use the EditPos property value. In my testing, it always returned the row and column of the cell I had left-clicked on.

I'll spare you a long diatribe about why you shouldn't possibly need the sequence number in your application code, and that such database specific knowledge can be isolated to make maintenance of the app easier moving forward. I'll assume you have a really good exscuse... :)
You are using the correct API, so there must be something else wrong. Has obj been registered in the unit of work before you try to assign the sequence numbers? And have you setup sequencing in the Mapping Workbench for this project? (Sequencing needs to be setup both at the project level (native or sequence table setup) and at the descriptor level (sequence name, column use, etc).

I am trying to get the last sequence number of the last row inserted into my Oracle database. Please could someone give me the SQL which would allow me to do this - using Oracle SQL Explorer I have confirmed that there is a sequence on the table which is called: XYZ_SEQ and the code for this is:

My Java application is inserting a row into my table and to insert a new row I need to have the last sequence inserted +1 so the new row can be added.

Welcome to the forum!
If you are using a sequence just do (example):
INSERT INTO TABLE_NAME
   (COL1,
    COL2)
VALUES
   (SEQUENCE_NAME.NEXTVAL,
    OTHER_VALUE);to obtain (and use) the next number in the sequence when you are inserting.
If you have a sequence to use for a specific table, you should use it when your insert new data (no matter your are doing that: java application, procedure, etc). Doing this you avoid some problems when you have the sequence 'out of date' about the associated data.

How can I get the real column of an alias in a view using system catalogs?

Given a view with columns that use aliases, I would like to get the real column name for the view column with the alias.
For example,
CREATE VIEW myView AS
SELECT name as col_1, price as col_2, price + 1000 as col_3
FROM myTable
I want to get that 'col_1' is actually the 'name' column and 'col_2' is the 'price' column by querying the system catalogs of SQL Server. It would be great to know whether I can resolve what 'col_3' is in the
example as well (i.e., when an alias is an expression, not just a column).

On the software disc sleeve, there is a series of numbers pasted at the bottom of the sleeves but this is not valid. When I tried to type this in for registration, it does register as this numbers also contain letters in it. Apparently the registration boxes accept numbers only. What do I do with a useless product for which I have paid good money for it?????

This is the simple solution which was offered to me when I tried to get the serial code on line.
The box and disc sleeve do not contain a series with 24 numbers which I presume is the product code to install.
I tried to redeem the registration code by following what they recommended, but inevitably it gets to the page that showed the registration boxes that need 24 serial numbers and I got stuck again.
This product is so different what my previous experiences of other software products where I just enter the serial number straight from the disc sleeve and then I got registered and go on to use the software.
I is really frustrating, spending the last two hours trying to get my product going....

looks like you are on Infomation Builders, correct? If yes through which adapter and to what DB are you connecting?? in an R3/BW system you can do the folowing:

How to get the current month number

Hi everyone,
Does anybody know how to get the current month number in Oracle Discoverer Worksheet calculation?
I try to use EUL_DATE_TRUNC(CURRENT_DATE, 'MM'), but instead I got 01-AUG-00.
If I change the data display format to MM, it will give me "08" but if I use TO_NUMBER function to convert it to number I get error "invalid number"
Is there anyway to get the current month value in number? Thanks

I am working on UWL Portal. I am new to UWL. I have down loaded uwl.standard XML file and costomized for getting the values for "select a Subview" dropdown and I am able to see the values in the dropdown. Now my requirement is to get the dynamic columns based on the selection from dropdown value.

1) If you have already created a portal system as mentioned in following blog
/people/marcel.salein/blog/2007/03/14/how-to-create-a-portal-system-for-using-it-in-visual-composer
2) If not, then try to create the same. Do not forgot to give the Alias name .
3) After creating a system, log on to the VC, Create one iView.
4) Now Click on "Find Data" button from the list which you can view in right side to Visual composer screen.
5) After clicking on "Find Data" button, it will ask for System. If you have created your system correctly and Alias name is given properly, then your mentioned Alias name is appeared in that list.
6) Select your system Alias name and perform search.
7) It will display all the BAPIs and RFCs in your systems.
8) Select required BAPI and develop the VC application.

Use SQL function to get the original order number using the invoice number

wondering is someone can help me with this challenge I am having? Often I need to return the original order numbers that created the resulting invoce. This is a relatively simple seriese of joins in a query but I am wanting to simplify it using a SQL function that can be referenced each time easily from with in the SELECT statement. the code i currently have is:

it is run by the following query:

The issue is that this returns the order number for all of the lines in the invoice. Only want to see the summary of the order numbers. ie if 3 orders were used to make a 20 line inovice I only want to see the 3 order numbers retuned in the field.
If this was a simple reporting SELECT query I would use SELECT DISTINCT. But I can't do that.
Any ideas?

I am trying to get away from the massive table access list everytime I write a query where I need to access the original order number of the invoice. However, I have managed to solve my own problem with a GROUP BY statement!

I am working on a smart-forms. I am using a custom transaction to print these smartforms. When I execute
the transaction the print screen comes where I can do
print preview or print.
Now to convert this Smart Form to PDF I need to know the spool request number to use in the report called RSTXPDFT5.
How do I get the spool request number ?
Do I need to do some changes in spool control options of print screens to get the spool request number or something else ?

Hi,
You will get the spool no. in the parameter "job_output_info" after calling the smartform function module in print program. The spool ids of the prints is stored in table job_output_info-SPOOLIDS.

(JTable) How can i get the first columns cell in a selected row?

Hello. I am trying to figure out how i can get the first columns cell within a selected row no matter what cell is selected in that row. I have a class that extends AbstractTableModel which represents the table. Now i have another class that extends DefaultSelectionModel. Each model is added to the JTable via setModel(TableModel dataModel), setSelectionModel(ListSelectionModel newModel). Now i don't understand what i have to return from getMaxSelectionIndex().
