GetCharBoundaries problem in AIR

Hello,
I try using getCharBoundaries in AIR and get false values for the rect returen (all x,y,width,height values are less than 1).
When I take the exact same code and put it in a non AIR project, the values are correct.
The code is:

var tf:TextField = new TextField();
tf.text= "hello!";
var bound:Rectangle = tf.getCharBoundaries(0);
trace(bound.x , bound.y , bound.width , bound.height);

the out put in a NON air project: 2 2 6 15
the output in an air project: 0.1 0.1 0.3 0.75
Is this a known bug? is there a workaround?

Hello,
I think you need to add the TextFiled object as a child to a DisplayObjectContainer object, using the addChild() method, then you can get the correct values in AIR.
For example:
If the containing class is the Sprite(or inherited from Sprite), you can use the following code:
   var tf:TextField = new TextField();  
   tf.text= "hello!";
   addChild(tf); 
   var bound:Rectangle = tf.getCharBoundaries(0);  
   trace(bound.x , bound.y , bound.width , bound.height);
