Getting a sliding panel loaded into an html panel to work.
Hi. This is my first post on the forum.
I've been using Spry a little here and there. Today I ran
into a situation where I want to load an external page, that has a
sliding panel in it, into an html panel. So far I have not had luck
and I suppose it has to do with loading the js file. At the moment
I have a right column that already has a sliding panel (working).
But it would appear that the loaded external html file (in the left
"main" column) is not picking that up. Any suggestions for a noob
as to what to do next? Viewing the external page by itself allows
the sliding panel to work (that is when I add the js file import to
the head of the external html file... but that head section does no
good when loaded into an html panel)
Anyway, any help at all is greatly appreciated.

It will require a bit of a small learning curve for me as html
panel and sliding panels are my first interaction with js... even
my rollovers are css driven. Thanks!

Images not loading in Spry HTML Panel
Hallo everyone
I am using links to load html fragments in a Spry HTML Panel, just like in the example page

The whole structure is inside a Spry Tabbed Panel.
All works ok if the target html pages are in the same directory as the mother page.
Images are standard in the "images" folder
The problem starts when I try to organise all the html fragments in a separate directory.
Updating links in all the html files is of course done correctly, images included.
Then the problem starts.
The html fragments load but with no images.
When I open the html fragments directly by the browser all is ok.
Any ideas would be appreciated

If your images are in your site folder (no matter which directory), but they are not showing up in your fragments, it is likely that the paths are wrong. The images (it seems to me) should exist on the fragment and be linked from there.
I won't have a chance to fiddle around with this right now, but if your images are linked to the fragment locations and that does NOT work, try linking them as if they were on the page that is showing the fragments. I'm not familiar (yet) with this widget.

Poor Performance of swf loaded in mx:HTML panel
I have an AIR application that uses an mx:HTML panel to load a web page that contains a flash game. The flash game runs in the mx:HTML panel much slower (choppier framerate) than it runs in the browser. Is there anything I can do to improve performance?

Caveat
Changes to the location property of the HTML control will now cause the link to open up in the system browser. The fix for that is to set the htmlLoader.navigateInSystemBrowser property to false, change location and then set it back to true. -
Getting player library to load into MediaSource Organi
I've looked everywhere for an answer and can't find one. My player used to work fine. Every time I connected it, the organizer would automatically open and all of the tracks from my player would load into it. Recently, I downloaded the new Playforsure Firmware which deleted all of my tracks (which I knew happened when downloading) but after loading them back onto the player, I have never been able to get them back to the organizer like before. I have downloaded WMP and I think I have all of the newest drivers etc. Please help.
This is just not working. I deleted all the songs from my playlist that were protected wma files. Now it contains only unprotected wma files and mp3 files. I have tried adding the folder to my library; I have tried importing the file; I have tried changing the default player for the file; I have tried opening it from my computer with Itunes. Nothing happens, its as if the songs aren't there, but they are all in my Media Player and they all play just fine there. What could be the problem. My family downloads a lot of music into Windows Media player because my kids do not have Ipods, they have MP3 players, and I want to be able to access the music from Itunes. HELP!

I cannot get my downloaded photos to load into a slide show. Any suggestions?
Unfortunately Target has not yet been updated to include Passbook integration. Once they do (and the App is linked to Passbook) I imagine that is when you will see the Loyalty cards show up or any coupons etc appearing in there.

Downloadhelper just stopped working and I can no longer get the icon to load into the tool bar.
I downloaded the add on Downloadhelper and it worked for many video captures and then stopped. I reinstalled it but the icon will not load into the toolbar or the tools under View -> Toolbars -> Customize. I have gone through the troubleshooting guides and everything seems to be enabled properly. At the same time Firefox stopped allowing me to open more than one Firefox screen.
Contact the carrier and ask them what is going on.

TS1702 Why is it that I cannot get passbook apps to load into passbook
I open passbook and it shows all of the card options. It also shows App Store at the bottom. By changing the time of day I finally got it to go to the App Store without an error message but now I download and open the apps and they still don't load into passbook. Anybody have any thoughts.

I use Adobe Pro on my desktop daily at the office and now will be handling work remotely from a laptop as well. Adobe Pro is essential for my work (bates stamping, redaction, advanced editing, etc). Can I use the same serial number and installation disc to load this on my laptop? There are no instructions that speak to this issue and I know other programs I have installed provided for both desktop and laptop access. It isn't like I am giving use of this product to another user or pirating it, so I can't foresee an issue. Any information is much appreciated. Thank you!

Adobe End User License Agreement entitles you to install a singe retail license on 2 computers at any instance.
So you can load Acrobat 9 license on the other computer too.

frameworks that can do it but I haven't seen it done in Spry

Make default sliding panel load first
Hi,
I am using SpryURLUtils to link directly to certain sliding panels on a page, so for example:
mysite.com/thepage.html?panel=3
sets the 3rd panel (working from 0 of course) on that page to be displayed by default.
The only problem here is that panels 0,1 and 2 still get loaded before 3 by the browser because they come first in the page structure, and as a result panel 0 is being displayed until panel 3 has been loaded, after which it 'jumps' to panel 3, which doesn't look too smooth and I think could confuse the user. Each panel on my page has a background image specified in CSS rules in the header of the page.
What I want is for panel 3 (in this example) to be displayed straight away. I assume the problem may lie partly with the fact the widget constructor code (shown above) where the default panel is specified is located beneath all the page content, but I can't think of a way around this.
Does anybody have any ideas?

How do I get my XML numeric values to show up when loaded into flash?

I've created an AS2 3D carousel It loads text values in the "content" section of the code below - including numbers and special characters into the .swf but...
What I can't figure out, is how to get it so that the "Tooltip" loads the text into the movieclip, but can also have numeric and special characters in it.
For example, I need the title of one of the icons on this carousel to be "3D Images," but only the "D Images" shows up from the XML text for the tooltip. The content when a user clicks on the icon can include numbers, just not the titles for some reason.

My main index.html is an Edge animation. One object <div> is a box created within Edge. I have added an iFrame with the Edge code:

I actually had some success after many attempts with using your code. I can control the .stop() and .play() of the "NamePlate_sym" symbol. Yet, I am still having trouble doing anything else with it. I cannot .hide() it, nor use .html("Change text") on another element on the stage called"Rectangle". If I can accomplish that and all a global function on the stage, I'm in good shape.
I placed the following script in the header of the .html file that gets loaded into the iFrame within the Edge composition:

Once I put window.parent. in the first two lines of code and the last, my test worked. As I mentioned earlier though, I still can't get the syntax correct to .hide() an element (i.e. comp.getSymbol("NamePlate_sym").hide(); does not work), or more importantly, change the innerHTML value of an element on the stage. The code either does nothing or freezes.

I know this topic has been seen a lot, but I still can't find
the answer for me...
Well, it's easy, I use html panels to load content into my
website (I have a SPRYMenu wich loads content into the
"main" div)
But, when I load content including another HTML Panel, it
doesn't work...
I've set the evalscripts to true, but it doesn't work...
here is a small portion of code coming from the exaples, wich
looks like what i want to do, even if in this code, it loads a
slidingPanel, not a HTLMPanel, but I think if I can make it work,
I'll be able to do what I want then !
