Getting an actionscript to follow a symbol
some scripts, even those relating to an object, seem to need
to go in the main timeline to work, and therefore dont exist in the
symbol itself.
Is there any way to get those scripts to follow the object
around?
Ill give an example of some code. Its for a cursor which
makes the mouse disappear and a new one appear. Also it changes
appearance over a certain object "boxthing" (in a bigger version I
guess it would be a certain object type)

You define the class in an external .AS file. The file has to
be named the exact of the class you are creating. Also, if you
please the class file into a folder then you will have to make sure
you inlcude that path in the name of the class when you define it.
For example, if place the class AS file in a folder name com. Then
your class definition would be:
class com.ClassName extends MovieClip {
// class code here

Also, if you are completely new to this you will want to get
a book on it too. The one by Colin Moock is pretty good. But there
are others. Also, just to note. AS2 is similar to Java but AS3 is
much closer so what you learn now in AS2 will be usful but there
will be some AS2 hacks that you will have to un-learn in AS3.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it, which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

No. After upgrading (and of course make a back up first) you will need to update iPhoto to v9.6.1 (you won't be able to do this prior to upgrading). Here's how:
Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
Install the App from the App Store.
Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.
Photos is v1 of a new app, as yes it's not as mature as iPhoto. It uses a different technology for working with external editors. That requires Adobe to write an extension to let it hook into the new app. Not done yet, neither has anyone else.
Going forward: iPhoto will run on OS 10.10., but there is no guarantee for subsequent versions of the OS. You might want to factor that into your anger term thinking. -

Those songs aren't on your iPhone, they are in iCloud.
If you don't want to see what's stored in iCloud, Settings > Music > Show All Music > Off (white) -
When I try to import a folder of jpeg files into iPhoto, only some are imported. I get the message "The following files could not be imported. (The file is in an unrecognized format.)" I am running iPhoto '09 ver. 8.1.2 on OSX 10.5.8. They are all RGB.
As a Test:

I'm presuming my old iPod id dead meat, but after 24 charging a get the Apple Logo followed by an image that looks like a file folder with an exclamation point. Is there anyway we can resurrect all trhe music on it & transfer into a new iPod?
You can try putting it into Disk Mode

If that works, you can see if the computer will recognize it when connected, either in iTunes or by the system.
NOTE: You can also try putting it into Disk Mode WHILE it is already connected to the computer.
If the iPod is recognized, you may be able to use one of the third-party methods or utilities to transfer song files from iPod to computer. You can do a Google search on something like "ipod transfer" to get some links (add "mac" to the search if your computer is a Mac).
Once the song files are on your computer, add them to that computer's iTunes library, then sync it to the new iPod. -
How to add actionscript to a movie symbol
I am a complete newbie to actionscript and flash. I am using
Flash CS3 with Mac OSX.
I need to know how to add actionscript to a movie symbol?
I made a circle and coverted it into movie symbol. After
selecting it and opening Windows > Actions, it says that the
currect selection can not have actions applied to it.
I have also tried ticking the Export for actionscript option
and leaving the default options on, but still no use.

I didn't know that iTunes had a 64bit download. I have Windows 7 Home Premium with 64bit operation system. I downloaded the iTunes for 64bit and it seems to have corrected the problem. I haven't received the message yet since I did this.

after hibernation, when trying to login to MacBook Air, it does not accept my password. I have to shut off and then get prompted with the following: Mac OS X wants to use the "login" keychain. I put in the password there and it works. any suggestions?

Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Select the login keychain from the list on the left side of the Keychain Access window. If your default keychain has a different name, select that.
If the lock icon in the top left corner of the window shows that the keychain is locked, click to unlock it. You'll be prompted for the keychain password, which is the same as your login password, unless you've changed it.
Right-click or control-click the login entry in the list. From the menu that pops up, select Change Settings for Keychain "login". In the sheet that opens, uncheck both boxes, if not already unchecked.
From the menu bar, select
Keychain Access ▹ Preferences ▹ First Aid
If the box marked Keep login keychain unlocked is not checked, check it.
Select
Keychain Access ▹ Keychain First Aid

I keep getting an ActionScript error #1009 Adobe Flash Player when I safari the internet to a site that is Flash based. This is new from a Adobe flash update. Now I see why Steve hated Adobe. I hit dismiss all errors and it is gone but it is a constant rude stopping of my day. Adobe is killing there brand. Please help me get rid of this problem.

Go to Windows update & look in "Installed Updates" for KB3087916 - Uninstall this update - it loaded the debug version of Flash. Activity Mangement - Unable to get Task as a follow up of Appointment

I have a requirement wherein a Task should be created as a follow up to an Appointment.
Now, when i click on follow up button in an appointment, i am not able to find my Z task as a follow up transaction and hence cannot create the follow up task.
Do i have to mantain copy control for my Appointment/Task ?

Every once in a while when I open my mail or open a page I get lines of strange symbols like black triangles with question marks in the center. I have reset the ipad2 to new condition but the problem still exists.
A reset does not make tthe iPad "like new."
First, let's ensure that we agree on just what is a Reset...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. -
Hi, I have a working project that has a few classes using the NI5411 APIs and now I want to use CNiFgen classes. After adding Core Components(Advanced Analysis, Common) and NI Device Instrument Drivers(NiFgen) from the Measurement Studio Components Wizard. Even when I try to make an object of CNiFgen(CNiFgen cnf I get the following error:

My APIs version is working fine and so are these CNiFgen classes(I have tried then for a dummy project). But, things start getting nasty when I try to integrate them.

Vaibhav.It looks like you have a typical linking error in VC++. Have you made sure that all of the necessary .lib files are properly linked to?
Also, are you passing any data between your custom classes and the niFGEN classes? These will take different data types unless you have already type cast all of them to work properly together. If they don't share variables, you should be okay.

How do I get tech support to follow up?
After initial success with my new D7560, it started dropping magenta and yellow, often in mid-page. The ink levels were all high, and I tried the obvious, recommended fixes with no luck. I engaged chat support, performed diagnostics and print quality reports, using a lot of my ink with no cure and was told to reload the drivers, etc. Did this the next day with no luck (not surprising), so got another chat session. Went thru the diags, reports etc again (using more ink) and was told the hardware was defective and the printer would be replaced (but not the dwindling cartridges) and I should expect a phone call to arrange shipment. After 3 days and no call, I called phone support, and was passed thru 3 departments, spending 2 1/2 hours explaining the whole deal each time and using more ink. I could not stay on the phone any more and was told someone would call me in 1 hour. That was yesterday and there has been no call. I think the support people that I dealt with can only follow their script, but are not able to get this fixed. Why can't I email or fax an example of the the printed pages instead of describing it to someone on another continent? Don't they have computers? I am VERY frustrated for the first time in my experiences with HP.
I have nearly the same problem, except no Photo Black and or black dropout on photo paper--but cheap draft paper everything looks fine (PQR shows smeared black and no PB). I put in an email to HP, so I guess I begin the wait game. I know it's the print head, because Ive performed all possible diagnostics and replaced the pb cartridge. why cant I just go to Office Max and buy another print head??
This is my second 7560; the first one failed completely in its first 2 weeks. Maybe I should have bought a Canon.
