A widely recommended PHP script to help with this can be
found here:
http://www.boaddrink.com/project/Formmail
Using PHP on a website without understanding it can leave you
exposed to
security threats. If you're interested in learning PHP for
use within
Dreamweaver, you might want to take a look at my book, "The
Essential
Guide to Dreamweaver with CSS, Ajax, and PHP". It covers all
the
Dreamweaver PHP server behaviors, and also teaches you how to
build a
secure script for processing an online form. You can find out
more
details by following the link in my sig.

  • Need help getting Forms to work

    Hi,
I have installed Oracle 8i EE on RH6.2. It was working fine until I installed Forms6i. I believe that I have installed Forms6i correctly; however, whenever I try to connect to the listener i get the error: TNS-01150: The address of the specified listener name is incorrect.
I also get the following error when I try to connect to svrmgrl: Error in loading shared libraries.
If anyone could help me with this I would really appreciate it!
    Thanks,
    Mel

    hi;
1.test the connectivity while creating the listener
2.you might have used thewrong protocol while going for the listener in net 8 easy configuration
3.write the name of the listener in the host string

  • I purchase the Forms plus,  bywidgets.mu, and can't get it to work.  any help?

    I purchase the Forms + bywidgets.mu
I've followed the directions on the weblink (https://widgets.mu/se/FormsPlus/demo/)
and still can't get anything to work.
I just keep getting <> inside a box and that's it.
    Help please!

    Hi Lisa,
Do you have a URL where I can take a look at the issue? It may be a configuration issue or it may be a bug so I just want to check and make sure.
In terms of the radio buttons one, I just published up update to the Forms+ Widget this morning that includes a new way to do grouping for radio buttons. Creative Cloud should download the updated version of the .mulib file into your downloads folder (and it should now be called something like FormsPlus Bundle.mulib), and you can double click that to add the updated widgets to your Muse library. The one I'm referring to in particular is called the "Radio Group (Box Selection)" widget. Basically, when you drag the widget out onto the page, it shows a dotted line box and you simply drag and resize the box around the radio items you'd like to group together. The box itself won't be exported so you don't have to worry about that, but it will allow you to visually group them instead of doing so with labels.
Let me know if you have any trouble getting the new update or using the box selection widget and I'd be happy to help further.
    Thanks,
    Andrew

  • How to get a pdf form to work without enabling JavaScript

I have two users at my job that need to user a form to validate charters, the form has a text field where the user enters the charter number and it pre-propulates the form with the institutions name, address, number, etc. We are in a locked down Windows 7 enviroment controlled by Group Policy. Our security policy does not allow enabling JavaScript in our enviroment so that breaks the form. I was able to get the form to work by first enabling Javascript, then by adding the document to the trusted locations list in the enhanced security tab. But since JS is not allowed to be enabled is there another workaround for me to get these few users up and running? The fix would have to be applied via Group Policy. We are using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro.

You would have to use either FileMaker to create such forms and use two related databses (relational Database) Of use a Form Created in Word using a Look up list.
Tele your company ite better to use Javascapit than the alternative of Active-X  in a Word Form or if using  a Mac Using AppleScript. of the three  AppleScript first, Then Javascript, The avoid Active-X at all cost.

  • I can't get the file attachment in a web form to work

I have a web form made in Business Catalyst that I'm having some problems with. I have added a file attachment option, but I can't get this to work properly.
When a user chooses a file and sends the form, the message that is being sent includes the name of the file that was attached, but not the file itself! What am I doing wrong?
This is the web form (in Norwegian, but you get the idea of where the file upload is) In this form, the file "produktark_plusstjenester.pdf" has been attached.
The e-mail that is being sent now looks like this (I have removed the private information). But as you can see, it mentions the file produktark_plusstjenester.pdf (94,45 kb), but it is not attached in the e-mail itself.
Hope someone can clarify this for me

File on web forms is attached to the case. Go to the case in the admin and you can retrieve the file.

  • GET FLASH FORM TO WORK

OK, I am trying to get my flash form to work and I'm working
with a template from FLASH MX BIBLE. I'm going to paste both my
action script and my cgi script in here & hopefully I can find
an answer to why it doesn't work. Basically what happens is it says
it was received, but it wasn't. ... or it is but none of the words
come through (this happened earlier before I tried tweeking the
script... which I think made it worse).
........ thank you thank you to anyone who can help me

Hi kglad. One. not sure how to "use the onData event of
receiveLoad and see what error message you're getting." Sorry,
don't use as2 very much. Two. I am doing all this on the same
domain, so there should not be any security issues.
I asked goDaddy what the problem might be and this was their
    (snarky) reply;
"As you have already been informed, when using a flash form
on your site, in the scripting for the form you will need to
reference our SMTP server at relay-hosting.secureserver.net and
this server does not require authentication."
They gave me this code a couple of days ago and told me to
stick this into my PHP code. It didn't help.
This is beyond me I am afraid.

To process your form there is really only 2 reliable ways to
    do this.
    1) Use some server language, like php, asp, cold-fusion.
    However since
you don't know any of those, neither do I for that matter,
    you need to
    concentrate on option 2.
    2) You need a ready-made script to process the data for you.
    One of the
most popular ones is 'formmail' You can read about it, how to
    set it up
and download the script at the below address.
    http://www.scriptarchive.com/formmail.html
The basic information is you will probably have a folder on
    your server
    space called cgi-bin.
The formmail script needs to be uploaded to this folder but
    you will
need to configure the script first. The above address tells
    you how to
    do that.
Have a look on your server and see if you have a cgi-bin
    installed. If
you have have a look inside it. A lot of hosts already are
    using
'formmail' as a way for you to get results from your form.
You then point your form at the script in the cgi-bin. So
    your opening
form tag may look something like this:
    <form method="post" action="
    http://www.your_
    domain_name.com/cgi-bin/formmail.pl"
    name="Request_Details">
The form data is sent to the script in the cgi-bin, processed
    and
returned to you at your email address.

  • Can't get Smartview 9.3.1 offline forms to work

I have a sample form in Planning 9.3.1 that I have enabled for offline use.
I can connect to the form in Excel 2003 using Smartview.
However, I cannot seem to take the form offline. The menu item is greyed out.
The id I am testing this with is provisioned as:
    Provisioning Manager
    Administrator
    Manage Models
    Offline User
    Mass Allocation
    Essbase Write Access
I can't believe that there's a provisioning issue given the above access.
I have tried installing the Smartview client from the server and from the Planning Tools->Install menu item.
    Anyone run across this before?
    It is Smartview 9.3.1.1.006.
    Thanks for any help.
    Regards,
    Cameron Lackpour

Hmm, the software setup sounds like it's correct.
In my original post, I indicated that I was set up for Offline use. I wonder if you've had a provisioning issue all along.
If you can, find a clean PC on which you have full Windows Admin rights.
    Install SmartView.exe and Offline.exe.
As the world's greatest Planning user (Provisioning Manager, Administrator, Manage Models, Offline User, Mass Allocation, Essbase Write Access), try taking the form offline.
If it works, try backing off on the provisioning rights. I think you should only need Offline User.
Then try it on the PC that doesn't work using that id.
If successful, it's an installation issue.
I appreciate that it has to work somewhere first, but if you've got an id with every role available to a Planning user, I can't see how it can be anything other than an install issue (which I think is what you suspect). The easiest way to determine this is to make sure you've got a wide open client, and then start locking things down on both the Hyperion and on the Windows side until Offline breaks.
If you still can't get it to work, Oracle/Hyperion support will be your new best friend. Maybe there's a secret handshake that's required in your environment.

you need to firstly delete all references to oracle on your pc then start with a clean install(after checking in windows registry and deleting all referencves to oracle, also in aoutoexec.bat file) install into 2 separate directories, 8i into oracle and forms into another directory, then configure using sql net easy config
