How to get a simple form to work

I am just trying to make a simple contact us form and can not
get it to work. I am uploading trial version of 8 but currently
using dreamweaver 4.
I can do simple stuff, and made the form I need, but have no
idea how to get it submit to my e-mail. Can anyone help me? I host
with Godaddy and sked their tech support, but they have no idea how
to help me because dreamweaver isn't their product. Thank
you!

To process your form there is really only 2 reliable ways to
do this.
1) Use some server language, like php, asp, cold-fusion.
However since
you don't know any of those, neither do I for that matter,
you need to
concentrate on option 2.
2) You need a ready-made script to process the data for you.
One of the
most popular ones is 'formmail' You can read about it, how to
set it up
and download the script at the below address.

The basic information is you will probably have a folder on
your server
space called cgi-bin.
The formmail script needs to be uploaded to this folder but
you will
need to configure the script first. The above address tells
you how to
do that.
Have a look on your server and see if you have a cgi-bin
installed. If
you have have a look inside it. A lot of hosts already are
using
'formmail' as a way for you to get results from your form.
You then point your form at the script in the cgi-bin. So
your opening
form tag may look something like this:

The form data is sent to the script in the cgi-bin, processed
and
returned to you at your email address.

We are triggering a custom workflow from the creation of a specific type of financial document (BKPF) based on doc type. I am able to make this occur after I implemented OSS Note 336305 onto our v4.7 Enterprise system.
I would like to make the first task a simple form that will display certain fields from the FI document and allow changing. I created a structure containing the fields I want displayed on the form and can get the form to display. However, I am unable to get the form populated with the information from the document. I'm suspect it's a binding problem but don't know where to begin. My container element contains both BKPF and the structure I created for the simple form.
I must warn you that I am new to Workflow having only taken the two classes at SAP Education, so any explaination will need to be detailed and simple.

Since I made this entry yesterday, I decided I needed a method that will populate the form structure prior to displaying the form. I created a subtype ZBKPF of BKPF and added a method to populate structure. I know the method works correctly because I debugged the code and saw that it executes and fills the structure fields. However, it doesn't update the structure fields in the container correctly. So obviously I have a binding problem. I'm not sure how to get the container fields populated once I populate the structure. Thoughts?

I have two users at my job that need to user a form to validate charters, the form has a text field where the user enters the charter number and it pre-propulates the form with the institutions name, address, number, etc. We are in a locked down Windows 7 enviroment controlled by Group Policy. Our security policy does not allow enabling JavaScript in our enviroment so that breaks the form. I was able to get the form to work by first enabling Javascript, then by adding the document to the trusted locations list in the enhanced security tab. But since JS is not allowed to be enabled is there another workaround for me to get these few users up and running? The fix would have to be applied via Group Policy. We are using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro.

You would have to use either FileMaker to create such forms and use two related databses (relational Database) Of use a Form Created in Word using a Look up list.

I think I got a little ahead of myself explaining my problem, so let me clarify...
Only the one iMac is having the network file deletion problem, but it is included in the network user logon problem. So 4 out of 5 of the iMacs have had or are having logon problems with network users accounts using mobile accounts on the systems. 2 of the 4 I have wiped and started over on and the other 2 have different network accounts being used by the primary system users. The 5th iMac has not caused any problems except I forgot to mention that the USB on it seems flaky.
So we are apparently full of problems.

Just follow these steps:
1) Create a bounded taskflow (uncheck the create with fragments checkbox)
2) Drag the CreateInsert operation on your bounded taskflow and mark it as the default activity
3) Drag a view and link the CreateInsert to the view component using a control flow case
4) Double click on the view to create the page
5) Drag the view object on the page as an ADF form
6) Go back to your bounded taskflow and from the General tab make sure under visibitliy you select "url-invoke-allowed"
Run you tasfklow and your form will be rendered in insert mode.

How to get the wireless router to work when i change to new modem and internet connection

I already set up my wireless router in my macbook but then moved to a new house and basically have a new internet connection. My internet connection is fine when i connect the ethernet cable form the modem to my macbook. But when i plugged in the wireless router, my computer sees it but will not connect to the internet. I lost my installation CD and i tried to re-install using the dowloaded installation but it goes into error saying i can't re-install if i don't change back to default.. anyway, maybe the solution is simple but it eludes me so please help!

1. same macbook
2. same wireless router
3. same internet provider but new connection and modem (since i moved to a different house)

How To Get WINDOWS WEP PASSWORDS To Work

Having problems getting simple simple simple WEP to work with your Airport despite knowing exactly what you are doing with WEP, everything looking fine, and with a network that otherwise has always worked fine before? Might be the case of password used on your clients.
Having set up a few Airports with mixed Windows/Mac clients over the last few years and finally discovering the "0x" prefix double-secret answer, I was trying that at first. But the new Admin client WON'T LET YOU USE THAT or "$" ANYMORE (take note helpful posters who keep giving that as the answer - it DOESN'T WORK ANYMORE). The new Admin client helpfully allows your password to be selected as "hex" now, but restricts it to 10 chars for 40-bit WEP so you get an error with either of those prefixes.
But that's OK because the WEP entry system does work and if you select "Equivalent Network Password" in the Admin client, it will show you the password as you entered it so you can confirm.
HERE however is the trick. The Airport, unlike any other router I've config'd, seems to be fussy about case. Go figure - for hexadecimal, case should not matter, the characters are really 'numbers' so A=10 and B=11 and it should be that a=10 and b=11 as well.
But not for the Airport which is happy getting "0AEB66A88D" but won't authenticate clients which are config'd for "0aeb66a88d". Seems very bizarre as I would have bet my Honore Balzac that the WEP would have been sent in binary at some lower protocol level, but apparently it's sent as a character string. Certainly I have entered WEP keys both ways before into other devices with no problems. Naturally good coders would always convert the case either before sending it and/or upon receipt, but in this case we apparently have lazy coders on both sides - Microslug doesn't 'toupper()' as it sends the string and Apple doesn't 'toupper()' as it receives it...
First a recommendation: get the Airport hardwired to your network temporarily so that as you config you are doing it over an Ethernet cable. This way you can test settings, then still config the Airport without resetting the unit back to "Factory Fresh" every time.
Second the ridiculous WEP answer: Configure the Airport as you think it should be. Then adjust the WEP passwords on client PC's and other devices so that all Hex codes are entered with caps. Voila everything works fine. A bit tedious to have to re-enter the password on every PC or device if you have a few, but better than it not working at all...
Third: It seems to work better on the Windows side if your network is configured as "OPEN" rather than "SHARED" WEP security. This means the router won't request the password, but I'm not sure how much difference that really makes to the client as it should send the WEP key either way...

I'm testing out Designer ES4 to build a simple form that's submitted via email.
Everything is working except for my text boxes... They are set up as required fields but because I've included default text with instructions, if you press submit without editing the fields they're not validating as empty and not throwing an error message.
I’ve been searching the forums all day for a fix, but I’m too new to understand where to put code etc. I’ve tried adding
'text{!=placeholder}' in the validation pattern box but that doesn’t work…
All I have is LiveCycle Designer and I’m on windows 7. Thanks for your help!

Hi Mr.Srivastava,
First of all you have to place one edittext on your desired screen. Bind it with that UDF.
Then you can get the value using

How to get Port Forwarding to 8080 working on HH2

Hi,
How can I get port forwarding to 8080 working on my HomeHub2?
I have a QNAP TS219P NAS connected via wired Ethernet to my HomeHub2.
This has a Web Administration facility that should enable me to access & manage the NAS over the Internet.
I have set the NAS to have a fixed IP address of 198.162.1.100 and enabled a dyndns account to point to my ISP WAN IP. I then used Application Sharing on the HH to forward all traffic to 8080 to the NAS device (called "Kermit" in my case).
However, using http://mysite.dyndns.org:8080 simply brings up the admin page of the Home Hub.
Despite the HH telling me the port is forwarded correctly, http://www.canyouseeme.org reports the port as - "Error: I could not see your service on nn.nn.nn.nn on port (8080) ...Reason: Connection refused"
My HH firewall is set to "Default" (Allow all outgoing connections and block all incoming traffic. Games and application sharing is allowed.), but I have tried disabling it and this made no difference at all.
I know that dyndns and port forwarding are working in other respects, since I also set the NAS up as a Web Server with a simple home page, and forwarded port 80 on the HH through to the NAS. Requests over the Internet for the http://mysite.dyndns.org:80 home page work fine...
There's nothing in the HH Event log that I can make sense of and I'm going mad...
Is anyone able to talk me through some good ideas of how to progress this?

Another thing I thought of- did you setup the port forwarding to forward to your named IP address or to the hostname?
I would recommend setting the port forwarding to your named IP address:

In this menu (Application Sharing -> Configuration, select "User Defined" in Device. A textfield entry box appears below device and hardcode 192.168.1.100 in there).
Finally, any logs on the QNAP for your external connection attempts? - Could it be passing through the HomeHub and then get rejected by the QNAP?

I am not sure this is the correct way to do it, but I tried it out a bit and found that the following will work (that is, I tested it on NT :-)):
