Getting line index at a certain point
Hi,
I'm trying to get access to a line index in a paragraph at a certain point, for example mouse position. However, I only seem to be able to find methods to fetch line index at a text character position...
Also, I'm struggling to be able to hold of the text (the actual characters!) on a line!
Any ideas?

The text of a particular TextFlowLine can be found something like this:
var para:ParagraphElement = textFlowLine.paragrah;
var paraRelativeStart:int = textFlowLine.absoluteStart - para.absoluteStart;
var paraText:String = para.getText().substr(paraRelativeStart,textFlowLine.textLength);

How to get the index of the minimize point
Need to get the index of the minimize point, marked as red cycle in the attached word file.
It is a collected data from different sample devices, so the curve may change a bit each time. But the overall profile is the same, just 2 main peaks.
I tried to detect the Y difference to see when the difference values change from negative to positive.
But, there are noise as tiny peak when zoom in, shown in word file. Then tried to use median filter to make it smooth. (Maybe better method should be used.)
But there are still some bigger regional peak. Any suggestion?
Is there any labview function or better algorithm can make it. Many thanks for your help.

Sample Data 2.vi 16 KBA trick I often use is to sample the data with a much higher speed than needed. Then I apply some simple averaging methods or and median filter. After that I downsample the signal to a adequate rate by averaging x samples. This have been a saver for me more than once. How successful it is depends of noise character type. It just a hint as it may not be applicable in your application
Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted

How to get correct index in XD02 BDC
Hi,
Im using XD02 in a BDC pgm to delete multiple e-mail addresses from contact person of a customer based on the details in the spread sheet.
There can be more than one contact person for a customer,and Im using KNVK-NAME1 and KNVK-NAMEV to sort all contact person through an itab to get line index of correct contact person but this index is different from what BDC index sequence in SM35. Can some one tell me whats the sorting fields that BDC XD02 used for contact person in the hidden code.

My macbook seems to be going crazy. At certain points (and for hours) I get the oh snap page on chrome, safari doesnt work, macbook wont let me create any files or for example upload music to itunes. I restored my mac so im sure its not a malware problem. The only thing that solves it is switching off and on , but sometimes I have to do that for 6-7 times before its ok or wait for a few hours. Some help please
Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2. -

Gain control freezes after a certain point (cannot get highlights to 100) with colorwheel mode
I just purchased Adobe CC, (Switching from FCP 7, did not want to upgrade to FCP X). Really loving SpeedGrade (was an Apple color user)
I am using a standard iMAC keyboard and magic mouse (iMAC 27")
In colorwheel mode: After setting the blacks to 0 with the offset wheel, I try to move the gain wheel to the right, to get my highlights to 100. Even when holding shift, I have to click and drag several times to move the pointer. I cannot move it in one motion. Even then, the pointer will literally stop or "freeze" at about the 3 o'clock position. In order to get my highlights to 100, I have to switch to the Editbox mode and scroll the numbers up manually. I cannont do it with the colorwheel mode.
Very frustrating. Any advice?Thank you so much for your prompt response. After I posted my question, I looked online and found some users had the exact same issue and found the solution. It is in the way you move the mouse:
When clicking on the indicator for a color wheel, my impulse was to move the mouse in a downward circular motion, to mimic the round path of the wheel. This appears to not work and makes the indicator "freeze" after a certain point.
When clicking on the indicator and then moving the mouse laterally, directly to the left or right on a mouse pad (or desk), it moves the color wheel indicator all the way down to either end. When moving the mouse this way, it seems to work. I hope I’m explaining this clearly.
To answer your question, yes the issue was with the Offset and Gamma wheels as well. But since the particular adjustment for these was not as much, I didn't realize it. But the gain adjustment I was doing was more severe, which is why I thought it was just the gain wheel adjustment.
So it appears it was the way you move the mouse to adjust the color wheel - which should be left and right.
I really am enjoying Speedgrade much more than Color. I was a huge Color fan as well and very upset when Apple discontinued it. I am very happy I found SpeedGrade and look forward to learning it more in depth. My next challenge is to find out how to use the SG color wheel controls to mimic curve adjustments. -
Recently my MacBookPro locked up on startup. Could not get past a certain point of progress bar. I had upgraded to Yosemite few weeks back, with no issues. I ended up doing a Recovery with Time Machine and I got all my apps, photos, documents, etc. back okay --- except I got error messages that my "registration for Photoshop (I use CS4 Extended) and Photo Mechanic are no longer working". I worked on Photoshop first, and tried (several times) to fix it with their online help suggestions. Nothing worked.
Is there a simpler way to "get my licenses/registrations back"??? I am also going to contact Camera Bits about the Photo Mechanic issues. ThanksSame problem and for months now. I haven't been able to find a solution, but I suspect that's because I don't know exactly what's wrong.

I have an Ipod Touch that is in recovery mode right now. I hooked it up to iTunes, and followed the steps to restore it, but it will only restore about a quarter of the bar. How do I get it to load past that certain point?
- Reboot the computer
- Try another USB port and cable
- Try DFU mode and then restore

trying to copy my Itunes music library from external drive(previously had PC) to new hard drive. at a certain point system error 8260 warning appears unable to continue coppying
What formats are the two drives? NTSF on the PC side is usually not readable by Macs unless they have changed something recently or you are using some third party support.
Since this is a file copying issue and not really iTunes, you might wish to have this moved to the Lion forums since people there might recognize it. I couldn't find that error anywhere on the web for Mac. -
Getting embedded video to pause at a certain point

Is there a way to automatically pause a video at a certain point - (to add for example a text caption) than automatically play again for example after a few seconds?

Pausing the event video automatically might now be possible but you can use the playbar of that video to pause it.

Cannot install Creative Cloud desktop app. It just freezes at a certain point.
I have a brand new machine running Windows 8.1. I don't know much about specs, so if you need more information on my setup, please tell me where to find it.
I cannot install the Creative Cloud desktop app. It just freezes at a certain point. I had this problem many months ago. I had a chat with someone from Adobe, and they had no clue what it was. I then called in and the phone was basically passed around from person to person trying to figure out what the issue was. They took over my screen, they tried all of the stuff that I read in the forums. Eventually I asked for the highest up person in the office and that person found a workaround that has been working for all these months.
However, now that I tried to update the Creative Cloud desktop app, the update froze around 40-50% each time, so I uninstalled the Creative Cloud desktop app, then tried to reinstall it. Now I have the same problem that I had many months ago where when I double click on CreativeCloudSet-Up, and it says it's downloading, it freezes very early on and just sits there. No error message, just sits there forever until I kill the process. I can't even cancel it properly.
I have very slow internet. I don't know if that has anything to do with it, but I've been downloading all the CC apps directly from the internet, but since I'm paying nearly $60 a month, I'd really like to have the CC desktop app. I'm sick of downloading each update manually off of websites.
I have read every thread, empty or packed full of replies, and none of the suggestions seem to help me. Maybe I don't know what I'm doing, but I really don't think that paying $60 a month should require me to fiddle with a bunch of files and cleaners, etc. I can't believe this problem has not been solved yet.
Could it have something to do with my computer? Or is my internet provider blocking something from Adobe? I have no idea and I'm honestly so frustrated. I come home from work everyday and spend the rest of the night trying to fix this issue, and I'm sick of it. I won't call in again, since it was a disaster last time. I was on the line for over 4 hours, and they still didn't properly solve the problem.
I am 100% desperate and tired of this.Nothing? Is there no solution to my problem? Do I have no other option other than to cancel my subscription? Pirating Adobe's software would cause me a lot less hassle than this, and that's not the way it should be.

Adobe Media Encoder CS5 crashes at a certain point while rendering
Adobe Media Encoder CS5 crashes at a certain point while rendering, I have also tried to render directly from Premiere Pro but this only makes PremPro crash instead.
The clip I am trying to render right now is 20 mins long, 1600x900 and is a .avi file. The output settings are H.264/HDTV 720p 29.97fps High Quality.
This all started happening after I re-installed windows.
Machine Specs:
Intel i5 3570k
8GB 1866MHz RAM
Intel HD 4000 graphics (yes I know I should get CUDA)
I made sure that CS5 was updated before posting this.>1600x900 and is a .avi file
That size description makes me think this is a screen capture, not a camera file... if it is a screen capture, what codec/software did you use?

Can't link to a cell in another sheet at certain point

this is the first time I use the support communities.
I have a continuing promblem with numbers ( v. 2.3). I'm working on a projekt for my univerity and are quite familiar with number. But at a certain point it get's impossible to link to another cell on a different sheet! This works fine until a certain point (which I actually don't know).....
I do the same stuff which I did very often before but it dosent work....
1. I click on the cell I want to have the linked value in it
2. I press = to start linking.
3. I go to the cell i want to take the data from (in another sheet).
4. The Box becomes white with the name and position of the source cell in it. But when I klick enter it dosn't work....
I really don't have an idea what this could be... It worke fine in the same way before a few hundered times... Is there any limitation of link's between the single sheets or something?
I'm very glad for any help in this issue

GregorOn your last screenshot, you had moved off of the cell you were working on. The resulting formula/reference was not shown.
Becasue it is not in English, it is hard for me to tell for sure what might be going on. The reference in your third screnshot looked odd to me. In English it would be one of the following forms when referencing a cell on a different sheet:
Sheet name::Table Name::Cell address
Table Name::Cell Address
or, if "use header names as cell addresses" is on
Sheet name::Table name::column name row name
Table name:: column name row name
column name row name
The reference shown in your third screenshot doesn't seem to fit that pattern
I am assuming if you look at your resulting formula, the cell reference is not in a colored oval, it looks like plain text.
I've seen header names get misinterpreted by Numbers, like it can't figure them out and make a reference from them. If you are using header names as cell references, changing the names can fix it. Turning off that feature might also fix it. I don't use that feature usually; it often makes my formulas too long and complicated.
I have not seen a similiar problem with table and sheet names but you could try changing them to see if it helps.
Sometimes Numbers simply has a problem with a reference and you have to start over with the formula and it will work the next time. I don't know why, it just happens sometimes. -
I'm trying to get my navigation to pin to the top of the browser while other scroll effects are taking place, then when it reaches a certain point on the page, I want the navigation to continue moving up and off the screen to allow for the footer to come in. Is this possible?

Je ne vois pas l'utilité du mouvement horizontale (gauche-droite, droite-gauche) et pire encore, par mégarde je fais trop souvent bouger ainsi mon texte et cela m'embête, même me dérange beaucoup. Même que cela me donne même mal au coeur hahahahahaha!
Par contre, ma souris précédente avait le mouvement de défilement du haut en bas et bas en haut et cela par contre m'est très utile. Je voudrais donc savoir s'il existe un moyen de stopper le mouvement de côté mais conserver tout de même la fonction du mouvement haut-bas et bas-haut avec le simple toucher de la souris. Suis-je plus clair? Disons que c'est plus aisé pour moi en français. merci à toi
