Getting ORA-06502 in Runtime, but not throug Developer

I got a copy of Matrix.fmb & Matrix.pll from someone at oracle and changed it up for my application. It worked great. I just recently upgraded from 8.05 to 10G and Developer 5 to 6. If I run the form from Developer, it runs great. If I run in using the runtime, I get an ORA-06502 error in an assigment statment. I tracked down the location of the error, and it seems the variable looses it dimension.
I even inserted a dummy statment after declareing it, to test the problem.
i.e. v_test := 'abcdefg'; it seems to error out on this statment.
I even took all the procedures, packages, and funtions from the pll and put them directly in forms and it runs and errors out the same.
Sometimes if I put remarks and 'message' statments in the form, t will error out on a different statement in the package, but the same error.

What is your 6i version? We had similar strange problems and applied the latest 6i patch. E.g. instead of this:
if my_function(my_parameter) = 'X' then ...
We had to change the code (in some cases only) to:
my_variable := my_function(my_parameter);
if my_variable = 'X' then ...

My problems is that I am also getting ORA-06502 error message after the "Access Denied" meesage.
Does anybody have an idea why?

I suspect that whatever trigger or procedure is issuing the "Access denied" message is not causing the ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error message. What trigger are you issuing the message from? Is there some other trigger or procedure running? If it is issuing some sort of navigational command, which is causing the current procedure to issue the "Access denied" error message, but NOT checking

I have just loaded Oracle 10g Rel 2 in Win 2003 Enterprise Edition.
But when I try to connect to sqlplus, I am getting ORA -12154 : TNS: Listener could not resolve the connect identified specified.
I have registered the database, the listener and tnsnames have been set correctly.
I have also set the Oracle Home environment variable.
Still getting the error.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor
ORA-12541: TNS:no listener
It is pretty easy to fat-finger these 4 message numbers. As a result, when a person has the actual and complete error message and an error number for a different message, it is usually not a bad idea to use the actual message. (Based on transposing only 3 digits compared to typing over 50 characters correctly.)
In this case the OP has really bollixed things: Subject implies a true 12154, text in the thread is an actual 12514 but mentions 12154.
As a result, there are several potentially correct answers, depending on the interpretation of the question.
- sb92075 gave the correct answer based on the number
- I gave the correct answer based on the message in the thread
- Anurag and Ed gave the correct answer based on 'the question is not formed correctly'

I have reset the phone, full firmware restore, even downgraded back from firmware 4.2.1 to .3.1.3 official by using dfu mode and still doesnt fix.
(i correctly got out of dfu mode after the downgrade)
i can enter dfu mode and recovery, and update through itunes with no problem, but it doesnt fix the problem,
i have searched and found no answer to this problem, every option availible to try that i know of i have tried and failed. i dont care about preserving my content i just want a fix. i have a good understanding how to operate software on a computer and shouldnt be too confused by any advice given, so plz even if the answer is very complex i wish to try anything, please help me to get my iphone working.

Have you checked System Preferences -> Sound to see the Output when nothing is plugged in the headphone jack? Also, check if the headphone jack shows a faint read-light, which is the optical laser.

If the user account now on the Mac has read rights to the user account(s) on the backups, yes. If not, you may have to do some finagling.

Not using any mouse pad, I have a very smooth desktop. But I just tried to use a sheet of A4 printing paper, but no result, the problem persisted.
Someone on this forum suggested, that USB3 may interfere with the magic mouse.
I have 2 LaCie HDD's about 70 cm away from the mouse, I use them on Thunderbolt. But in operation or not - the result is the same, the mouse plays up! Just now I was clicking the desktop and the mouse created a new folder!!

As best as I can recall, the MacBook will try to remember your settings.
You can test it out - just hook your machine up to the TV and use it as a second display. Try some sounds.

It could be a local object that a person who has developer access in production created. This is unusual, but not unheard of.
Or the transaction could have been deleted in DEV and the deletion transported to QA but not PRD.

11g on Win2k8R2 - ORA-12560 - Database up but not reachable

i've got a serious issue with a production database which affects about 500 users. I already created a SR but by now i got no answer and i thought maybe someone here got an idea.
What i did:
- Installed Windows Updates via WSUS Offline
- Rebooted the machine
What works:
- Database can be opened without a problem via sqlplus or "oradim -startup -sid xxx"
- "tnsping xxx" works
- listener can be started via "lsnrctl start" and shows a handler for xxx
What does not work:
- listener can NOT alternativel be started via "srvctl start listener" (PRCR-1079: Ressource ora.LISTENER.lsnr could not be started, CRS-5016, CRS-2674
- database is not reachable via sql developer - not from my work client and not locally from the server itself
- enterprise manager is extremely slow and gets timeouts (i can't login) when the database is open, when i shutdown the db em is really fast
- alertlog is full of "Fatal NI connect error 12560 [...] opiodr aborting proccess unknown ospid (6696) as a result of ORA-609)
What i tried to resolve the issue:
- Uninstalled all Windows Updates which i installed -> no effect
- rebooted the machine -> no effect
- tried to start listener before the database or database before listener -> no effect
- checked local_listener parameter which is automatically set by system when starting the database, also set by myself -> no effect
- disabled windows firewall and antivirus -> no effect
The thing is, that i just rebooted the machine and the database is perfectly up but not reachable. I really don't know if it's a good idea to change tns files etc. because it worked before the reboot.
Anyone got an idea?

The services are all owned by "local system", besides OracleOraCrs11g_home1TNSListener and OracleServiceSID (they are owned by ./oracle)

Firefox 29.0.1 on Windows 7 (64-bit): ALWAYS get "Firefox is already running but not responding..." error and need Task Manager to close/restart Firefox.

I run Firefox 29.0.1 on Windows 7 (64 bit) and I get the "Firefox is already running but not responding. In order to open the program you must close the existing window." error. EVERY TIME I try to start Firefox. The posted solution works to start the program, but it is not a permanent solution. I go through the Task Manager and end the old Firefox process, then I can open a new window. While working, I can open multiple tabs and multiple windows, everything seems to (usually) work the way it should. Then after I completely exit Firefox, in order to open the program again I need to fix the SAME error again. Every time. It doesn't seem to hurt anything really, but it is quite annoying.
I used to get this same error on some of the older Firefox versions but it was only once in a while. With the new 29.0.1 it is literally EVERY TIME I TRY TO RUN FIREFOX!!!!
So, down to the big question: is there a permanent fix for this yet? Or will there be one included in the next version update? Or am I going to have to go back to Internet Explorer? I know I am not alone in this experience; i've seen several other users posting similar questions but none of them received satisfactory answers. So what's the story here, team Firefox?
