Getting "random" NoClassDefFoundError in applet

I'm developing a JDK 1.3.1 applet (JApplet), and I test it by loading it in Netscape Navigator (6.1). However, I frequently get the message "Applet <applet> notinited" in the browser, and when I look at the Java Console I see the message "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:" followed by one of my classes. If I close and restart the browser, I sometimes can get the applet to run and I sometimes get the NoClassDefFoundError again (sometimes on a DIFFERENT class!). Sometimes, I have to try 6 or 8 times before I can get the applet to run, and then it runs just fine.
Does anyone know why this is happening? My platform is a 1 GHz Pentium 3 with 256 Mb of memory running Windows 2000 SP2.

I could do that, except I would have to deal with setting up the plug-in. I was trying to avoid that, in the interest of simplicity - plus, I don't seem to have any security issues with Navigator 6 (I don't have to sign the applet to get it to run). I guess I will give IE a try and see if it makes a difference.

I hope some can point me in the right direction.
I seem to be getting random NoClassDefFoundError errors when trying to run my application. This is since I upgraded to 1.4.2_08.
If I try to run the same applet again I get a different NoClassDefFoundError. I know the classes exist because they are all found if I start the applet several times.
If I put the classes in a .jar file it works all the time. Running on java 1.5 works too (I can't use 1.5 because it's too slow!).
Has anyone experienced this before?

Yes the applet writer CAN choose the version of JVM. For example, if the applet is to be used by one company on an intranet where all the client machines are pre-built. This is the case in this instance.
Well it's quite tedious to make changes to software, then have to build a jar file, clear out your broweer cache just to ensure that the changes you made work. So 'my solution' isn't an adequate solution.

NoClassDefFoundError in applet

hi, my applet does compile and run I get the NoClassDefFoundError but it does run. When I move the .class to another folder, it doesn't run.
Here is what I get:

I had a similar problem. After moving the httml file one step down in the directory tree, the error is gone. However, I still have a problem to load the JDBC driver from Applet, but the same driver loads fine from JFrame.

More like whoever coded the add-on is an idiot. Google used a brilliant piece of HTML5 to bring the iconic Pacman to the masses for its 30th Anniversary, and not only do people not recognize its ubiquitous sounds, people are annoyed at Google and Firefox, not the creators of the add-on.
No one did this on purpose, and the ones at fault are the ones who coded the Add-on. Now shut up, your problem is fixed.

Laptop Keyboard problem, some keys get randomly ignored

This is a problem that occurs with all razer blade notebooks when running linux (does not occur in Windows 8); some keys get randomly ignored when you type at your normal speed, and it is very frustating especially when typing passwords or programming. At the moment we have to type very slowly in order to get all keystrokes caught. The keyboard has antighosting technology, maybe that info is useful.

In that post, a forum partner proposed to modify "drivers/hid/usbhid/hid-core.c" and set "interval = 1;" right after the mouse pooling interval was set, around line 1134 of the file. When we use that modified kernel, the keyboard feels a little better but i still get ignored keys when typing at normal speed.

Hi. Well in this case the problem is with the Razer Blade Laptop's keyboard, therefore i cannot choose another port. You gave me an idea however, i will try to get any usb keyboard, plug it into the razer blade and make sure it works so that i can discard any major problem.

Getting random LCK_M_SCH_M on convert and bulk insert task

I starting getting random LCK_M_SCH_M locks with huge wait time, which hung my etl proccess.
The ssis package runs like this:
I have 4 containers that run in parallel and do the same thing:
-Convert a tab delimited file from unicode->utf8
-Truncate the table (within a foreach loop)
-Bulk insert the data
Also transactionoption is set to NotSupported.
What could be causing the lock?
All foreach loops do not overlap ragarding tables/files.
Do they contest somehow?

The truncate table command imposes the schema lock so you will have to not to run in parallel this task

How to get database connection in applet

Hi,
I am trying to prepare database connection in applet. After preparing connection with database it'll read same values from table.
At the time of development it works fine. I have used esclipse IDE for coding and testing.
But when I try to call that applet from browser. It is giving ClassNotFound exception.
Does anybody know How to get database connection in applet ?
Please help me if anybody know solution for this.

As per my knowledge is conserned
1 u can get the database connection in a jsp page and u send the result set as param to the applet and u can use retrieved values as if they were of the same applet if u r interested i can send the db connetion coding for jsp my id [email protected]

How do I get random shuffle to work in an album and why am I unable to turn off the music Photos selects? I used to listen to my iTunes playlist while I was watching an album in random shuffle mode.

I am getting random crashes, but every time I go to downloads. Is there a fix here?

When I use Firefox I get random crashes but if I try to Download it will crash every time. I get no warning just this program has stopped working and is shutting down then I will get to you wish to restore your session when I restart Firefox or I get there is already a version of Firefox running even when it has been shut down and I have to restart my computer to get Firefox back up. I think this might be a conflict with adobe flash or one of these programs but I can not find any info on this problem.

Java update & now getting random music playing

My mac updated java and now right after that I'm getting random music playing songs that aren't on my mac every once in a while. Like about 7 in the last hour. This is crazy.
How do we stop this?

This happened to me this morning too! Unfortunately at 4:00 am, I had been about to change my alarm settings and it started happening. Pushing the upper right hand button temporarily stopped it but it kept happening - had to turn my phone off and take battery out. I have no songs on my torch and it was a song I had never heard before. I checked that I hadn't accidentally turned on you tube or something but that was off - I can't figure it out! Any ideas?

What is your iTunes version?

My Brand New iMac Gets Random lines On Screen

Hiya,
I Bought a custom 27" iMac top of the range,
after a while somenights the screen goes like this [See Pictures
i get random lines and things not loading properly as in the reflection of the dock, menu bar and black lines around applications?
I dont know what it is or what is happening,
Please help i spent so long getting the money for my imac and now its not working 100%
