Getting redirect to work -- easy one?

Hopefully this is an easy one for someone to answer -- I'm simply trying to set up an action-mapping that performs a redirect instead of a forward. If I use the following xml in struts-config.xml (I'm using struts-faces), then everything "works":

I get an error if I change the forward to be a redirect, however, as in:

redirect="true"
/>
</action>
The error I get is:
java.lang.IllegalStateException: Cannot forward after response has been committed
Any thoughts on this one? Is there something I need to change in my Action class to properly redirect instead of forward? Something in struts-config.xml??

Can't get redirect to work...

I am trying to get one of my domains (let's say xxx.com) to redirect to yyy.com.
I have tried every combination of things I can think of in the SA settings for that domain. Nothing works.
Here's how I would think it should be:
Style: Redirect
Pattern: www.xxx.com
Path: http://www.yyy.com
Suggestions?

Server Admin only creates redirects based on the URI - that is the page/path element of the request, not the hostname.
As defined, your redirects would only affect URLs like http://www.yoursite.com/www.xxx.com
It looks like you're trying to redirect all hits for one particular hostname over to another, right?
If that's the case your easiest solution is to create another site for www.xxx.com and have all requests redirected. That way when a hit comes in Apache recognizes it as a hit to www.xxx.com and processes it accordingly. Hit to other sites are not affected.

Can't get MTP to work on one of my laptops - x86_64 & KDE

I have Arch x86_64 on both of my laptops. The newer one of the two can't seem to get MTP to work on my Galaxy Note III. Both laptops run KDE and use kio-mtp. I have looked around quite a bit and can't figure this one out.

I just installed go-mtpfs-git and it doesnt work either. Here is what I get:

Can't Get Hyperlink To Work From One iWeb Site To Another

I created a "family" website, including a blog page. In a recent blog, I briefly announced that my two nieces just completed a two-week adventure in the African bush. I have created a second website using iWeb which is a simple photo page. I had hoped to hyperlink from my blog entry by saying that anyone interested in seeing the pictures of their trip "click here". I then used the Insert>Hyperlink>Choose dialog to place the URL of the second site as the hyperlink file.
No such luck. When the "click here" hyperlink is clicked in site #1 to navigate to site #2, all one gets is an error message.
Anyone have any ideas?

I found out what I was doing wrong. In the hyperlink window I was trying to type in the URL for the second website on iWeb. Instead, there are pull down menus to permit the selection of another iWeb page or site as the link. It's working smoothly now.

Cannot get prepositioning to work to one of our WAAS boxes

I get the following error in the syslog when trying to do a preposition job, reloaded the waas, deleted and created another preposition, still get the same error..my other 20 WAAS boxes preposition ok!

If by XI you mean XIR1 version 11.0. Then SSO was broken on the initial release, you need to patch to SPanything meany any available service pack.

The website may be using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving the name and password.
You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save the name and password.

Does anyone know why i cant get two monitors working on one pc?
I have a HP P6 2000 UKM computer, running windows 7 and it has a DVI D socket as well as the standard VGA (which i am using for my primary monitor) I have got the right DVI to VGA adaptor and have followed various instructions to set up duel disply but every tutorial i have seen says use the multiple display option, but the option dropdown box is not there!
Iv'e tried two different monitors but he same problem. If my graphics card does not suport 2 monitors then why is there a DVI D socket?
Have never had this problem in the past!

Please post the exact HP product number for your PC.
VGA is analog and DVI-D is digital. If you have two monitors then one of them needs to support a digital video signal if you want to use two monitors

Redirect not working correctly

Selecting "Redirect" in Mail used to seemlessly pass the email on to a new recipient as if the email was sent from the original sender:
From: +"original sender's name" <original sender's e-mail>+
Resent: +"my name" <my e-mail>+
The only evidence of me as the middleman was an extra field in the header that indicated "resent from: +my name+"
Now when I Redirect it puts my name under "From:" and leaves the "Reply To:" field empty (which is similar to how "Forward" functions.)
If I manually copy the original sender's email into the "Reply To:" field, Mail puts my name in the "From" header but the original sender's email address in the "Reply to:" field.
It looks like this:
From: +"my name" <original sender's email address>+
This is very confusing to the recipients because they think I sent the email but when they hit "reply" it goes to the original sender. Dangerous!
How can I get Redirect to work the way it used to, with all the original sender's info in the From: box?

I'm not having any success with redirect, but hadn't even considered that gmail might be the culprit. We are using google's mail service for our domain, and I'm also suffering from the redirect-as-forward problem. I receive mailings from multiple mailing lists, and have to redirect them to multiple recipients within my company. Unfortunately, all the messages I pass on look like they are coming from me, and the replies also come to me. It takes time out of my day to have to contact one or the other party, either re-forwarding the message to its intended recipient or contacting the sender and having them manually enter the "to" address. Very frustrating. Solutions sought.

I open a new tab and nothing works until I click anywhere, get redirected to a different tab, close that one, then I can follow links on tab I wanted to open.

I can scroll over the links or text on the new tab and the cursor doesn't react.The new tab has fully loaded but the cursor will not recognize text or links. Before anything will work first I have to left-click anywhere on the page. I get redirected to a new tab, invariably a trusted offer or survey. When I close that other tab, then the first tab acts normal. I scroll over it and the cursor recognizes the text and the links.

If it's showing the red disabled screen due to incorrect passcodes then you may need to put the iPad into recovery mode : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808 - you should then be able to reset the iPad via your computer's iTunes and restore/resync your content to it

Thanks for the suggestion, Chris. I actually did not resolve the issue which is why i did not post an answer.
it turns out that my iphone seems to default to an incorrect User ID (it defaults to an @me account, which is not something that i have ever used).
even when i change the User ID in my settings for the iTunes store, it still appears when i attempt to get updates for my existing apps. however, it does seem to use the correct ID when i attempt to purchase new apps.
If someone actually had an answer to correct this, i would love to update my existing apps.

Any time i open a hotlink i get redirected to one of five websites but nothing shows up with virus/spyware scanning.

the question pretty much describes it. the main problem comes from search engines. pretty much any time i click on a link that opens a new tab or window i get redirected to various sites. the most common sites being aol jobs and yellow pages. i have checked to make sure there are no add-ons causing this and have checked for hidden processes but have found none. any ideas?

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs. 
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. 
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
