Getting the JSP source...

Hello
In the navigator of portal, there is a possibility to copy a page as JSP. That works fine. But how can I get the JSP source to modify it?

Hi,
Edit your contexts.properties file(which will be under /server-root/https-hostname/config/contexts.properties). And do following changes in that. Restart the server to new changes take effect.
Before change 
# context.global.isModifiedCheckAggressive=false
After change
context.global.isModifiedCheckAggressive=true

How to get the HTML Source code from the active browser ?

Hi All,
I need to get the HTML Source code from the active browser (IE). I tried with the below code, but I am not able to get the Source code all the time, with respect to the different applications (http or https) and the user authentication has to be changes in few applications (_I dont know or not able to given that in the below code_). More over there is also a dependence of the URL to get the HTML Source code.
Therefore what I feel is getting the HTML Source code from the given or active browser will be consistent than the URL. Since the Source code is available in the browser (IE) . Please help me with a sample code to achieve this . . . !

The simple answer is: you don't.
Not only is it simply not possible, but the entire concept of "the active browser" doesn't exist.
You were on the right track with your code to retrieve the page directly from the server, but as you noticed that code will only work for regular http connections.
For https and other protocols you will need to use appropriate libraries for each protocol. Something like Apache Commons can help you with that. There are networking libraries in there for a lot of commonly used protocols.

have a look at the APEX dictionary views. The one you are looking for is APEX_APPLICATION_PAGE_REGIONS.
In the Builder you can find all of them at "Application Builder" -> Tasks (Sidebar) -> Application Express Views.

How to get the XML Source again from the same RDF ???

If the one new column is added in the .rdf file, then how u create your new XML source by submitting the same cp?
When I ran the cp for 1st time, I was able to get xml source by view output, save it, make rtf and make data defn and template creation.
But how to get the XML source If the one new column is added in the same .rdf file?

I have not seen any demo source.
However under the developer's section on http://java.sun.com/products/javawebstart there is a developers guide, which contains some snippets about how to use the clipboard and printing services.
If you plan to sign your jar, you won't have to use these
services.

Actually, I want to parse customer reviews for academic purpose.
I'm trying to follow the links in the customer reviews zone.
For example:
In the following page

The thing is that I don't know how to imitate its action using java and actually, I'm not sure if it is possible to do that using software.
I tried to look at the source code that I got using the previous java code I posted and I see that the next link always has the following href attributes "http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/customer-reviews/B000LU8A7E"
I tried to see if there is any javascript that tells the page which 10 reviews to get but with no success.
So if anyone knows how to imitate the next link action using software that will sure help me a lot.

Help !!! Apache 2.0, can't get the JSP be rendered by the browser

I'm starting to think I missed something in the configuration/installation of Apache2
Everthing finished without any errors reported, however when I try to run a JSP page, it is rendered as a text, this is that rather than get the results of the JSP page, the browser just shows the code as text ouput
My configuration is:
Win2000 Professional
Apache 2.0
J2SE 1.4.2_03
I installed the Apache from apache_2.0.48-win32-x86-no_ssl.exe binary and haven't made any changes in the configuration file httpd.conf
I found somewhere in java.sun.com that include the following lines in the httpd.conf file:
BrowserMatch "Java1.0" force-response-1.0
BrowserMatch "JDK/1.0" force-response-1.0
However it didn't fix the problem
Any ideas ? need more info ?

Unable to get the report source - ReportViewerBean getReportSource()

Hi Folks,
i'm developping an applet which show reports. All reports are generated on the server side (servlet)... and then sent to the applet. On the server-side, i used ReportJavaBean.writeExternal() method to write (serialize) on the stream and on the client-side (applet), i used ReportJavaBean.readExternal() method to get the data back and then show the report on the report viewer. But i always get a null value on the getReportSource() method call...
The reason i used the reportjavabean is the small size of the library which has to be comppile with the applet and he's standalone (This library does not depend of other libraries).

but why writeExternal() and readExternal() methods does exist? Why ReportViewerBean does implement Externalizable, Serializable if in fact we can't use it?
Do you have any suggestion on how to solve my problem? There is so much relationship between JRC libraries that i have no choice to get them all the compiled project which gives an applet of 25MB!?
