Getting very angry

So, for my birthday, I recieved a 5G 30 Gig iPod. I was excited, of course. I use my mom's computer (with Internet) and my own (without) to transfer music to it. Perhaps that is part of the problem. But what happens is I'll plug in my iPod to my computer (without internet) and I'll open iTunes and it will say "J: Ipod cannot be recognized. Restore it to its factory settings" So sadly then I've got all this music that is recognized up until I plug into my computer. And then once I unplug, the music is completely gone except for maybe one of my playlist's music. And the ipod reads the track names as video files, album names, songs, artists. Its getting to be incredibly annoying. Since I've got 2000+ songs, its always a very long and tedious task to load all the music again. Plus, when this happens any music which I've purchased on iTunes deletes and of course you can't play it on computers that don't have internet so I don't have the files on my own computer. So in essence, What Is WRONG?!?!?

Umm try this:

i havent purchased anything in so long i cant remember the security questions and i just bought an itunes card today and cant purchase any songs im pretty angry over this

The page that you posted from tells you how to reset them i.e. if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then the steps half-way down that page should let you reset them.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

  • 5800XM: Getting very angry with my calendar

    Hello,
    Can you help me?
I have a Nokia 5800 XM that I have always used to synchronize my calendar.
    Worked very well.
One beautiful day - without apparent reason I can think of - my calendar stopped working.
    This means:
    - I can't open it any more in any way. When I touch the icon on the screen, the screen just "hangs" for a fraction of a second, and then the same screen appears again. Also, when I try to use the "open application" via the "Options" menu, the same thing happens.
    - It doesn't synchronize any more.
Needless to say that I can't add reminders any more neither.
    Very unhappy
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hello
I imagine that there is a record in the calendar that has been badly recorded and that make it crashes. It happens to me also with the e-mails : I could still open but not back up anymore.
    1) you are used to synchronization, so I assume that your calendar is already backed up on your PC
    2) through PC suite (or ovi : I do not use it yet, I imagine there is the same feature), open the calendar application (on the PC). Use the list view (shows all entries as a list) and delete everything. Restart your phone. Can you enter the agenda now ?
    3) if not, I cannot see other solution than a soft reset or hard reset if it does not work. So make sure to back up everything (use PC Suite or OVI suite). WARNING : *do* the backup. Or you will lose EVERYTHING. Then:
    *#7780# for soft reset
if agenda is not working, try *#7370# for hard reset (phone back to factory settings)
    4) when doing the synchronization to restore the calendar entry, make sure to have the proper direction (PC to Phone) then after first sync you can put your usual setting
    hope this helps

  • ITunes will not open, this is a disgrace, getting very desperate...

Ok, I am going mad here and getting very angry.
Last night, after updating to the very latest version of itunes, it now refuses to open.
I have clicked the desktop shortcut, used the start menu, gone into it through program files and still nothing.
I have disabled my anti virus and firewall (Bullguard) still no good.
I have installed and reinstalled itunes + quicktime together, nothing.
I have removed each of them individually and then reinstalled, again nothing.
I have installed an older version of itunes, nothing. (one from over a year ago)
I can see in the task manager Itunes.exe has loaded and so has itunes helper, but nothing appears on screen. I have ended both those processes and tried loading again, nothing.
I have been looking though numerous online forums with suggestions from other people but nothing has helped me so far.
At the end of my patience, I did a destructive reinstall and restored my PC to its factory settings, thinking that is bound to solve the problem.
That naturally took a while but I have just downloaded and reinstalled itunes and quicktime.
To my complete and utter horror, nothing happens.
So I tried an older version of itunes and again, nothing.
I have created a new user account on my laptop, no difference.
I have also installed itunes to a different directory, not c/programfiles and still it refuses to launch.
Please, please can someone help me with this. My Laptop is running windows vista, 2.0 Intel Dual Core Processer T5750, 2gb ram, (I did have 4gb but one stick failed a few weeks ago and I haven't replaced it yet)
I really cannot see what else I can do, especially as I have restored my PC to its factory settings and it still won't work.
My laptop is about a few hours away from being chucked out of my lounge window...
    Please help...
    Thanks,
    Nick

I have followed instructions found elsewhere to do the following:
•“C:\Program Files\Bonjour\mDNSResponder.exe” -remove (Note: delete the quotes displayed here and type again using keyboard)
•Navigate to the following folder in Windows Explorer: C:\Program Files\Bonjour
•Rename the mdnsNSP.dll file in that folder to mdnsNSP.old
    •Restart your computer
•Delete the the Program Files\Bonjour folder
All successful, now there is nothing that has anything to do with iTunes , Quictime, Apple Software Update, Bonjuor,...etc on my machine, now what do I install so I can get iTunes to work on Win 7 x 64 bit edition... ?
    Thanks,
    Rick

    Hello
I don't know who to complain to as you do not appear to have a complaints department, despite searching the web, I trust you can pass this to relevant department for action, as I'm very angry over my recent repair.
Following my issue relating to a blank screen 2 weeks ago, your advisor arranged for my iMac to collected by Amsys, for repair and return, this was done and it was returned to me last Tuesday, onWednesday I set up my iMac again and instantly realised I had problems, much worse than before. I called Amsys to inform them of the issue of the computer being very very slow and unable to open iPhoto and pages, and document listing would not show up, plus I had no sound on the mac. They informed me that they had only replaced the video card and what they had done would have not affected the computers performance. He suggested I reinstall OSX again which I did, but this made no difference to the programs, so I called you.
Your technician on the phone was very good as they have always been, and made an appointment for me to go into the Milton Keynes Apple store the next day at 1 pm, which I did.
The gentleman on the Genius Bar was very good and was able to run tests on the iMac in my presence, and diagnosed immediately an issue with the sound problem, and advised me that this could not be fixed while I wait and I would need to leave it for repair. I made him aware of the previous repair, and he was able to see via your system, the list of logged issues I have had with this since purchasing in September 2012. I'm sure you can see from the way you record all calls and issues the problems I have had.
Today I called to ask if my iMac would soon be ready for collection, I was told the repairs had been completed and it was being tested. However to my dismay, I learned of another serious issue relating to the repair carried out by Amsys. I was informed that 6 screws were missing from the the iMac internally, which caused me much distress and concern, they also told me I had to wait even longer as the screws had to be ordered and installed on arrival before I could collect it.
My issues here are: I trusted the Amsys repairer as it was arranged and recommend by you, it is very evident they are not competent to repair, as they have caused more problems with my iMac on its return, despite enclosing a checklist, fully ticked showing everything working well, it clearly wasn't ! Plus the issue of missing parts (screws) during the repair, I have already expressed my disgust with Amsys, by email and had a response, within the hour, apologising and told me they were looking into this.
This where I stand on this, I have not had my iMac for  almost two weeks and I do not know when I will get it back. I'm also very worried about what other damage has been caused by Amsys and the quality of my iMac now. I want to know what you, Apple is going to do about this ? I have already been very inconvenienced by this and until now I have been a very loyal apple customer with 2 iPads, and 4 iPhones in our household, not to mention the iMac.
I feel I have been very let down by this experience, on my iMac, which cost a lot of money, I have also lost a lot of money with lost work and unable to carry out my business without it, and I will be seeking compensation.
I trust you will take this complaint seriously and pass it to the relevant department for action.
    Yours sincerely
    Des Withey

  • House Move Disaster - from a very angry customer

I am currently experiencing a disastrous home move scenario.
My original BT order was due to go live on 10-Aug-2010.
Suspiciously, the telephone number I was given was for a 01202 88****** which is the area I had just moved from. The new area should always begin with 01202 6*****.
When the order was activated - it was for my old address! I called on the 10th, 11th, 12th and each time I spoke to the foreign call centre I asked specifically to verify the address for the phone number. Each time they told me it was my new address until on the 13th August, for some reason they admitted it was for my old address.
The call centre agents were scripted and their responses were not truthful. Each day they told me 'the fault with the line' will be fixed within 24 hours. it was not, because the fault was that BT had activated a phone number at an incorrect address.
The Open Reach Engineer called me on the 13th and within about 30 seconds - he clarified that there was no line fault but that the telephone number was active at my old address.
Why couldn't the call centre staff verify the address of my telephone line - when I specifically questioned it each time I spoke to them?
After another call to BT on the 13th to make an official complaint - they told me that the complaint was logged and that I would receive a call from a manager within 24 hours. 7 days later I have not been contacted. (even afteranother call to BT, chasing this)
I was left with no choice but to effectively start again and place a new order for a BT line for my new address. This was due to go live yesterday, 18th August. I have been given a 01202 6***** telephone number and the order is now complete....however...it still is not working.
When I try to dial out, I have a dialling tone but before I have finished dialling the number I get a "The number you have dialled has not been recognised" message.Even when trying to route the call through BT with 1280 first. When calling my BT telephone number from my mobile it just rings and rings but the actual BT phone at my new address does not ring.
The last week and a half has shown me that the BT support structure (for me) has been inefficient, poor quality and incompetent.
An engineer is coming tomorrow to check the line when I hope the fault can at last be resolved.
I will be seeking compensation from BT for this.

The comments our your website are obviously a blatant lie!
"Move with less stress. Moving your BT services is quick and easy. Find out how to move with less stress."
It would also appear I am not the only dissatisfied customer.
    http://community.bt.com/t5/Phones/House-Move-Disaster-from-a-very-angry-customer/td-p/39557
In light of BTs further incompetence, I have today cancelled my direct debit to BT. If this matter does not get resolved today, I will no longer be a BT customer and will not be liable for any charges for any "service" after the 20th of July 2010.
I have still not had my old phone number allocated back - in fact I am now on a completely different number to what was initially allocated. 01282 77****. Another **** up?
To make matters even worse, I have today received a bill on a different account number for "services" up to October. LC******. My last bill paid on account number GB******* stats I have paid until 17th October.
This also shows that my phone plan has been changed from Unlimited Anytime to Weekend - I assume this will incur call charges that I will not be liable for.
I can only assume that the initial person I spoke to on or around the 10th of July set me up as a new customer, not a customer moving house. I will let you do your own investigation why this happened and who the member of staff was, after all, "calls are recorded for staff training"!
If this matter is not resolved by 5pm today, 23rd August, you can cancel all contracts I hold with BT and I will also be seeking a refund on my payment on account GB*******. The bill received today on account LC***** will not be being paid.
I will of course pay for any calls made outside of the Unlimited Anytime plan - these I am liable for.
I require this matter to be passed to a member of staff at management level, and as said above, this must be resolved by 5pm today. 6 weeks is too long and I am no longer prepared to put up with this level of service. I will be switching suppliers at 5pm today, as 2 family members have already easily switched from BT to TT, without one little bit of fuss.
I can be contacted via email or my mobile. 07803 143***.
    Regards,
    Matthew Harrison

    Hi rhaughan,
I see that you have concerns about your operating temperature of your computer while using resource-heavy applications such as gaming applications. I have an article that will address some of the concerns you have mentioned:
Mac notebooks: Operating temperature - Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/en-is/HT201640
While there are third-party utilities that measure the temperature of a notebook computer, it is important to understand that these utilities are not measuring the external case temperature. The actual case temperature is much lower. Never use third-party applications to diagnose possible hardware issues—instead, contact Apple or go to an Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider.
You should also see this article for even further information about your fans:

  • My MacBook Pro (Early 2011) keeps freezing, the fan becomes extremely loud and the laptop gets very hot, what can I do?

    Hi there,
I would be grateful if any one could help me. I purchased my MacBook Pro  13 Inch in August 2011, it was the "Early 2011" version, which was shipped with Lion (I have now upgraded it to Mountain Lion last year).
Up until a few weeks ago, it was running fine. But recently my MacBook keeps freezing (A circular rainbow appears on the cursor), slowing down, the fan gets very loud and I often have to restart the whole machine. This usually happens when I'm running programs such as Safari, Preview or Microsoft Word
I only use my MacBook for university work so I only have Microsoft Office and iWork installed, nothing else. I've only used 19gb out of the 320gb available. I've also reseted my MacBook to its factory settings but that hasn't fixed the problem.
I've checked my AppleCare status and it says:
    Repairs and Service Coverage: Active
Your product is covered for eligible hardware repairs and service under a custom agreement.
For more information about your coverage, please contact us.
Estimated Expiration Date: 24 August 2014
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to how I can resolve these problems, as it is stopping me from doing my work?
    Many thanks.

Call Apple and make a appointment, backup your use data off the machine to a external drive.
Don't bother with TimeMachine if it asks, too long and likley be corrupted and unable to restore, just drag and drop your Users folder to the external drive.

  • MacBook not going to sleep and getting very hot

I just purchased a MacBook and have been using it for a few days. I have noticed that it does not appear to go to sleep correctly and gets very hot in the process. I finished working on my MB about 45 minutes ago. At the time it was connected to the mains and I disconnected to catch my next train. I shut the lid and after a few minutes the sleep indicator light at the front dimmed once then stayed on permanently. I could not hear the drive spinning (though the drive is quiet on this machine and there was a lot of background noise) and assumed all was OK. Anyhow, I have just taken the MB out of its case some 45 minutes later and it felt extremely hot (almost too hot to touch, I would guess around 50ºC). The sleep indicator light on the front was solid white. I opened the lid and the machine woke up. Something not right here....Also power remaining was down to 72% so something has been using up a lot of energy and heating up the aluminium!
    Tony
ps. Whilst writing this email the MB has cooled down considerably but still warm.
ps2. Probably not related, but I have firmware password protection enabled
    null

I did see some of the other posts, but nothing about the MB getting so hot.
I tried sleep from the menu and this seems to work (though I have rebooted the machine since the above report).
What worries me is the potential fire risk/damage to the MB, the case was extremely hot.

My 3GS iPhone will not hold full charge for very long.  It gets very hot in my shirt pocket even when hot in use.  Any ideas?

Double-tapping the home button does not show apps that are running.  This is not a task manager, it is merely a list of recently used/accessed apps.
Basic troubleshooting of the device is reset, restart, restore.  Has a reset or restore been tried?
Check to see if updates exists for the apps, this could be a simple issue of a badly coded or buggy app that needs to be updated.

With the bigger battery, am I supposed to have the bigger (90 W) adapter?

    Hello dbuser!
Welcome to the Forums Community! How long have you experienced the A/C Adapter getting hot? Were you using a different battery before the 6 cell?
According the the e530 Personal Systems Reference the 65W Adapter is the correct adapter for the 6 cell battery. It is possible that you have a defective adapter. Does the adapter make any noise, buzzing or cracking sound? If it is making any noise there is a definete issue with the adapter you are using.
