Girder plugin for MSI Vox remote control

Hi!
Since I bought a VOX USB2.0 for using in my laptop I found the remote control useless cause it only works with the MSIPVS (that I don't use) and there was no plugin for it.
So, recently I had some free time and I developed a plugin that allows me to control my pc with this little remote control.
If there's someone else interested in this plugin I can make it available to download.
Samuel

Hi!
I have installed Christv v4.99, Grider and downloaded config files for VOX on Promixis site (thanks Alexis!!!). I can see that remote will work (have tried some of functions and it works) but my problem is:
Christv doesn't give me good quality picture like Fly 2000 TV. If I try to change some settings in "Program settings" then it is reflecting to CPU usage! My fun on laptop is very loud when it is hot, so it disturbs me too much
I am attaching Print screen from my current settings (pic on Christv is black but not on my PC) but if I change advanced settings for Greedy HM it doesn't remember it after shutting down Christv. If anyone have lower CPU usage and good pic quality with Christv it will be very nice if (s)he post it here
Sorry for my bad english

  • Girder Plugin for MEGA 180

    Hi folks
I'm writing girder plugin for the MEGA 180 remote control. Unfortunatly it works just until reboot and that happens on any system - not only on MEGA 180.
Perhaps some of you are familiar with girder plugins and can tell me where the bug is.

Plase read the README first.txt file for installation, watch the code, test the binary and tell me if you have the same problem. The source code need Borland C++Builder to compile.
I started also a thread in the girder forum.
    Thank for helping me.

  • I need the correct driver for an infrared remote control (ENE CIR receiver) for Pavilion DV4-2173nr

I need the correct driver for an infrared remote control (ENE CIR receiver) for Pavilion DV4-2173nr.
The receiver that came with my notebook is a black model one (see picture below), with the following information in its bottom label:
    RC1762302/00
    3139 228 50021
    HP SPS: 435743-001
    HP: HSTNN-PRO7
    RC6 ir
    CP06 60808 A 146218 REV. B
I never managed to make it work, from the very beginning. I know it is working, because I replaced the battery for a brand new one and it shows a blinking IR LED when I press any button and point it to a digital camera.
Searching for "ENE CIR receiver driver" is useless 'cause I received more than one hundred answers - I tried four of them but none worked so far.
So, instead of trying the whole bunch, I am crying for help -  could someone please tell me which driver is the correct one for this remote model?
    Thanks in advance and regards,

After some part of code i was wondering about memory usage.
Some observation showed memory loss (8kb per second, reading remote data one per 50 milisecond).
After some program diagnostic MEMPROOF showed memory loss inside RemtCtrl.Dll. Probably some pointers are not freed during remote data read.
Some users have problems with girder with plugin. This application works fine. The problem is inside RemtCtrl.DLL
I have three questions for MSI Support or forum users.
    1. How to prevent memory loss?? I tryed to free library and handles, but it didn't work. Only termination of application get an effect.
    2. Have anoyne correct version of RemtCtrl.Dll?? I know there are two version of this library delivered on CD's, but only one is working - (with memory leak).
    3. When new version of this library or SDK package will be released??
    Greetings to all forum users!
could you give me a link to the exact page from where you downloaded "remtctrlsdk.exe"? as I`d lyke to download it too.

  • Finding TV, DVD, etc. Codes for FiOS TV Remote Controls

Every so often someone posts a question about needing the code for their new TV, DVD player, etc, to program into their FiOS TV remote control. The remotes come with a small booklet that lists a number of codes, but I don't think it has been updated in a while, so codes for newer devices or brands may be missing. Verizon has some lists on the web, but they seem to be difficult to find (at least for me). Here are links to the web pages I have been able to find so far:
    TVs: Link
    DVDs: Link
    Audio Receivers: Link
    Audio Amplifiers: Link
If any of you have links to other Verizon web pages, or pages at other sites that provide code lists, I think it might be useful to folks to have them posted in one place.
Some things I wish Verizon would do:
    1) Provide links in obvious places to the pages that already exist and are linked above (plus any other pages that might exist).
    2) Update the pages on a regular basis. Or if they already do that, then put an update date on the page so we can tell when it was done.
    3) Provide a link where people could send Verizon information on new devices they get or codes they discover. I mean a real email address or web page where the information would go directly to the right people instead of a generic email address with a canned response where we never know whether it actually went to someone or just was sent to the bit-bucket.
    Any thoughts?

    Hi  Adam,

  • HEY CREATIVE!!!! Where is the remote control plug-in for Mediasource 5?

I just upgraded to Mediasource 5 only to discover that this version doesn't offer any support for my Creative remote control. The remote control plugin on the downloads page says:
"This download is for all Creative MediaSource? (version 3.00.6 or later) users currently using a Creative remote control."
...But when I try to install this plugin, it doesn't recognize that Mediasource 5 is installed. The description should read: "version 3 ONLY".
I found other threads on this as well. The only resolution I found (aside from switching back to an earlier verision of Mediasource) suggested the use of third party software.
Come on Creative, Mediasource 5 and it's other plugins have been officially available for download for since Dec. 22, 2006. That's 7 months.
    7 MONTHS!
I've got to admit that I use my remote too infrequently to bother going back to an earlier version of Mediasource but WTF, I shouldn't have to compromise.
It's things like this that contribute in a large part to Creative's loosing market share.

Anyone? I need the volume control panel to enable the spdif out to my external decoder!

  • No Free Remote Controls

Why has Verizon changed their policies on free remote controls? In addition to paying for cable fees, I pay $38 per month for renting FIOS equipment that is 6 years old. They want another $15 for replacing one remote control. This is highway robbery.

    Amen dmart.
I called, fully expecting a no hassle customer service experience.  It isn't the $15, it is the fact that after spending $3,000 a year for 10 years the CSR is amazed that I think they should replace their broken equipment for free.
Verizon hates its customers.  They can, because Comcast hates us too.
As bad as politicians and just as corrupt.

  • DMP 4400 Remote Control Simulation

    Hi,
I need to please know how to send an HTTP MIB request to a certain DMP to simulate a "remote" key click if I don't now have a remote handy. Say I want to test the Yellow button after it is programmed. Can anyone help with the HTTP command string for this example?
    Thanks

The Command to change or assign the button to a specific task is
    correct.
The Command to execute the RED button is also correct for the DEFAULT
setting (which is "r").   Once you change the assignment to another value
the command (with the "r")  is not correct and will not work.
The "irasrv" is what controls the remote command mappings.  In this example; when
you press RED button, it interprets it and it is what sends to the "xfake" service "r",
which is mapped to the RED press button.  So when you send a command directly to "xfake",
you are completely bypassing the "irasrv".  And there is no way to send a keypress
    directly into the "irasrv".
In summary, what this is saying the there is no way to send a command to the "irasrv"
(which is the infrared service for reading the remote control commands).  We can
bypass this service to the next step to simulate the commands using the "xfake" service.
These are the commands in the second discussion thread that I posted.
the DEFAULT "xfake" commands work. But when you change them some may NOT work
based on the values that were changed in the key mappings.
In your case, the CAST string can not be passed in a MIB to the "xfake" service.
This has to do with commands and syntax in your remapped values.
The key mappings  "do" work.  I have tested them with a physical remote without issues.
    Cheers!
    T.
