Give commands to MUSE widgets inside EDGE is possible?

Hi. I love designing with Muse and Edge. Wouldn'it be just great if I could controll Muse widgets inside my Edge elements? I tried tracking the Muse document and calling the functions inside Edge using jquery but it didn't work. Is there a way for this?
Any help would be appreciated.

While multiadressing may get you "synchronous" enough it's by no means a guarantee that both instruments will really react equally fast when receiving the trigger command over the GPIB bus. For true hardware synchronized operation you will have to use the trigger bus on the back of the device to connect them together, select one of the 4 trigger lines to use and set them up correctly on both instruments, one as input and one as output and then send the trigger command to the device that drives the trigger line. That will give you synchronisation to microseconds accurate. GPIB multi addressing will be in the range of several milliseconds and sequential GPIB in the range of maybe 100 milliseconds.

  • Can I insert/embed an Adobe FormCentral form inside an Adobe Muse widget?

Embeding a form to the main page is easy but I can't seem to insert the HTML or copy and paste the form INSIDE a widget such as the acordian or tabled form?
Any sugestions or links to help videos?
    Thanks.

    Hi again Sachin,
The form isn't a Muse widget form, it's an 'Adobe FormsCentral' form that you can enbed into any wedsite. I still haven't been able to inset it inside a widget (any of the widgets) by following your instructions?
    This the code...
    <script type="text/javascript" src="https://formscentral.acrobat.com/Clients/Current/FormsCentral/htmlClient/scripts/adobe.for m.embed.min.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript">;ADOBEFORMS.EmbedForm({formId:"*2aRdzmo4Uxfn3br-8rcsw"});</script>
Does that help? If you could figure out a way to do this it would make my wedsite 100% better!
    Thanks again.

  • How create a carrosel photo gallery with Adobe Muse widgets?

I use Adobe Muse 3.2 build 2, and I need create a photo gallery with many photos (around 60) like a carrosel (with photos and thumbnails that slides both from left to right). There is some way to create or insert a widget of this kind in Muse? If possible, in which Muse version?
I wanted a solution that works inside of Muse, to not create a HTML page separated, with the gallery, and after embed it into the Muse.
    Thanks for any reply.

It is currently not possible to create a functional carousel using the out-of-the-box features available in Muse. You will need to look online for third party code or a widget from a Muse widget developer for something like this.
    Cheers,

<p>Homeopathy is a  wonderful system of natural medicine which is safe, non-toxic and effective. It  is so safe that expectant mothers and newborn babies can use it, except for a  few specific remedies. </p>
<p>A homeopathic  remedy contains a very minutely diluted dose of the original medicinal  ingredient, and that is why it is so safe. The higher potencies of a remedy do  not even have any of the original substance in them, only the memory or energy  from it. The purpose of a homeopathic remedy is to give specific information to  the body. Then, the body can use this information to heal and repair.</p>
<p>A homeopathic  remedy can be selected <em>according to the  symptoms</em>. It can also be selected <em>according  to the patient’s constitution</em>, which considers many factors about an  individual. </p>
<p>Food preferences,  general features, personality and temperament, such as whether he wants to be  left alone or comforted when he does not feel well, what makes his symptoms  better and what makes them worse, even a person’s fears, are considered,  because they are all part of who that unique individual is. A person’s  constitutional remedy will help him with a lot of different symptoms, because  it was selected especially for him.</p>
<p>I would not want to be without homeopathic  remedies. You can take them as required, without  worrying about side effects. They can make your life so much more comfortable.  They can be used to stimulate your immune system, so that, eventually, you do  not require them as often, if at all. For example, during allergy season,  people can get a lot of relief from homeopathic formulas for allergies.<br clear="all" />
                  </p>
<p>Homeopathic  medicine can also help with mental and emotional symptoms, not only physical  problems. For example, homeopathic remedies can be helpful for those who are  anxious, depressed or even grieving.    <br />

Absolutely! It can  be very valuable for prevention! Let’s say that you are in a canoe, enjoying a  relaxing, peaceful ride down a calm, scenic river on a beautiful summer day.  Meanwhile, I am riding in an airplane, just above the same river, and I can  spot you in your canoe. </p>
<p>However, I can  also see that, around the next bend, there is a set of swirling rapids and a  very steep, dangerous waterfall. </p>
<p>You have no idea of what you are headed for, but  I can warn you. Fortunately, since we both have cell phones, I can call you  immediately, to warn you of the imminent danger.  You can decide then to pull onto the shore, and check out the rapids before  deciding whether or not to proceed. Or you can decide to turn the canoe around,  and head back the other way. You can also choose to ignore me, of course, but,  no matter what you choose, you will have been warned!</p>
<p>In Iridology, for  instance, if I see that a person has a congested or toxic bowel, I can advise  him to do a colon cleanse. <a href="PDf/EYE SPY.pdf" target="_new">More information</a><br />

That’s certainly part  of what makes my approach so effective! I can use Iridology to help pinpoint  the specific problems. Homeopathy and nutrition can be used as assessment tools  as well. It’s like having more than one tool in your tool kit. The more  professional tools one has, the better. </p>
<p>This allows me to  create an individualized health plan that incorporates different resources,  including nutritional supplements, essential oils, gemmotherapy formulas and homeopathic  remedies, as required. It is ideal to support the body on 3 different levels -  at the nutritional level, at the cellular level, and at the energetic level.</p>

Sure! Think of  your car. It won’t get you to your destination if you don’t have enough fuel to  get there. And it can’t be polluted fuel or watered down fuel, because that’s  just asking for trouble. Your fuel has to have the right octane rating. </p>
<p>Your body is like  a car; it’s your go-mobile! If you don’t supply it with the right fuel  (nutrition),you will lose your  get-up-and-go! When you nourish your body properly, you will naturally tend to  have more energy.  </p>
<p>Even so, you can  fuel up your car with good quality fuel, but if the fuel pump needs repair,  then it’s still not going to work properly for you. If you have a body part  that needs repair, homeopathy can help. </p>
<p>We also give our  cars an oil change on a regular basis. Similarly, we can cleanse, regularly, to  clear out our organs, such as the liver, the kidneys, the skin and the  intestines, of toxins that accumulate over time.</p>
<p>We can also use  homeopathic formulas to clean out the receptors of the cells in our bodies,  which is where toxic residues can accumulate. Then, our go-mobiles can run more  efficiently! </p>
<p>There is one difference, though. We can trade in  our car, when it gets old and worn out. But, we cannot trade in our bodies! We  get one only, and it needs to last us a lifetime! So we  need to take care of it the best we can! <br />

  • Cropping inside edge in Book

I've been doing books for a long time, but for some reason on this last one, the photo layouts seem to be cropping a lot more on the inside edge of the photo (by the spine). This is especially a problem for portrait shots when there are only two on a page. I have tried everything from ensuring a 4:3 aspect ratio crop prior to placing the photo, custom cropping. Double clicking and then trying to move the photo with the hand (this only seems to work vertically on portrait photos). I've also tried fit to page, which reduces the photo to create space on the other side, leaving the crop.
Is there any way of shifting/moving the photo around in the frame so I can decide where the crop is occuring (like the move feature, but one that works)? Like that I can just make the effective crop on the other less important side?
    Thanks

What theme are you using? In those themes that run the photo right to the left of the page, I'm not sure if changing the bleed on the page would help. The bleed is the amount of the page is sized greater than the final size so when cut the picture will extend all the way to the edge. A minus bleed may make the page size less than the paper size and move the photos away from the edges. That might help the side at the binding but would move everything else in also. This is just conjecture. That preference can be changed using Pref Setter. You might give it a try and go thru the ordering process, stoping after the book has been assembled. Then find the pdf file that iPhoto creates and copy to the desktop. Then abort the ordering process. That pdf file often will contain the crop marks for the pages and you may see if the bleed change worked.
Otherwise you could use a 3rd party editor like Photoshop or Photoshop Elements to create a 11 x 8.5 canvas and copy and past your photos on it, placing them where you think they will avoid the binding. Then use that file on a 1 photo/page layout in the book.
Hope this has been of some help. Good luck.

  • Is it possible to import dreamweaver files and muse files to edge reflow and vice versa?

Hi there are certain things that I can do using edge reflow such as making a mobile and tablet site.
There are certain things I can do with dreamweaver such as making a form with a drop down box.
And there are certain things I can do with muse such as inserting a google maps and paypal widget.
Is it possible to interchange files with these 3 software?

For Muse you can make a mobile/Tablet/Desktop version, it just won't be responsive. So you can't directly pull in HTML from Reflow as page structure. If it has to be responsive use Reflow or Dreamweaver.
Regarding sharing elements between the three you get the very vague answer of "are you good with code?"
As a general rule forget about doing anything with Muse files in any other piece of software. Where you have the cross-over is in the raw generated HTML.

  • Are there any muse widgets like jquery's Isotope tiles?

I would love to implement something like isotope into my muse site, but I can't seem to find anything that will work.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this?
    http://isotope.metafizzy.co/index.html

I've dropped the idea of using Jalbum all together its expensive and its very buggy. I just experimented with muse and its capabilities and what I realized there are ways you can work around and bypass its limitations. I created something equivalent to isotope/fancybox but it involves manual labor not much but still its muse and so its visual no code involved or external pages to load. I'm using nested widgets inside of widgets. For example, I created a lightbox  and filled it with a slideshow. However when I wanted to add  lightbox with a + function that's when muse went nuts, so what I did was I reused the same lightbox box gallery I created for the family by adding it to my library for another entry. I put together a video of how it works granted there's no audio or extended ways for you to go about creating such a page this is to show there's a way to do it.

  • Give commands to two keithley2400 at the same time

    Hi All,
I would like to give commands to 2 keithley2400 at the same time and wish them to do current sweeping simultaneously at real time. That means I have run two loops simultaneously. It seems to be difficulat yet not so difficult since there is no dependency between these two loops... Is it possible? using what structure? The solution i use right now is a simple true/false button with two case structure. And of course it won't work. Sometimes two units will run simultaneously but most of the time they will run in order.

  • Problem with Accordion Widget INSIDE Sliding Panel Widget

    Hello,
perhaps I should not do this, but I nested an Accordion
Widget inside a Sliding Panels Widget:
    - There are eight Panels.
    - Each one contains a complete Accordion.
The sliding works fine, and so does the Accordion animation,
but the text inside the Accordion Panel Tabs won't move along, when
a tab is activated. I need to hover the mouse over the accordion to
make the panel texts appear again.
Of course, when I un-nest the widgets and move the Accordion
widget out of the Sliding Panel widget, everything is fine.
    My question is:
    - am I demanding "too much" by nesting the widgets?
    - or should this basically work, and the problem arises from
    rivalling scripts?
    Here is a link:
    Nested
    widgets Test
The horizontal top menu will activate the sliding panels, but
as of now only the leftmost menu item contains an Accordion (I know
the CSS does not look nice yet).
Is there anything I can optimise to get this to work?
    Thank you so much,
    Greetings, Jensen
Edit: The problem does NOT occur in Firefox, but in
    Safari.

    Hi John,
That is the expected behavior if the "Overlap items below" is unchecked. Please refer to the following link http://screencasteu.worldsecuresystems.com/aish/2013-08-21_1947.png. If you don't want the page to wiggle up and down, please check the box shown in the screenshot.

  • When the inside edge bleed from facing pages is needed?

Hi I've been working on a magazine which is 130 pages and some brochure which is around 16 pages. May I know when I should give the value to the inside bleed and when should set it as 0?  Thanks in advance!

Check with the printer, but it seems pretty unlikely you'll need an inside bleed for the brochures. You may well need one, though, on the magzine if it is going to be perfect bound. I think you probably are going to want to change that page count, too, to a multiple of 4.

If you want your program to take console input while it's running (as opposed to command line arguments, which are passed once, when you start your program), you can wrap a BufferdInputStream or a Scanner around System.in.

  • Is it possible to create Qt Widgets inside After Effects using the SDK?

    Hi,
I would like to use Qt to create Dialogs and Widgets inside AfterEffects.
I started out with the Panelator example in the SDK. I can include QtGui into the project, but as soon as I create any object with QObject as a base-class After Effects crashes immediately with the following error: '[...] could not be loaded (48::46)'
When I try delay load QtCore.dll and QtGui.dll I can at least start the plugin and see, that the crash happens in the initializer of the QObject.
    I use
    VS 2010
    QT 4.8.5
    and my buildenvironment is x64
I was wondering if there is any kind of incompatibility of embedding Qt in After Effects (due to linker/compiler setting or defines or something like this).
    This is the debugger output:
    Locals:
    Threads:
My code in the Panel-constructor function:
        int argc = 0;
        char *argv[1] = {""};
QApplication* a = new QApplication(argc, argv); // THE ERROR OCCURS IN THIS LINE. for a test I exchanged it to QWidget* w = new QWidget(); and it happens as well.
        QWidget* w = new QWidget();
        w->show();
        a->exec();
Outside of AfterFX Qt works fine and I also can delay-load QtGui and QtCore.
If anyone of you already has experience in using QT in AfterEffects, I would really appreciate your help!
    Thanks in advance.

It finds QtGui and QtCore, it misses out some other dependencies further down in the hierarchy of USER32.DLL:
Which doesn't seem to disturb if I don't include and use QT:
