Actually i want to open setting.app programatically using open url scheme
like: [[UIApplication sharedApplication] openURL:[NSURL URLWithString:@"prefs://"]];
it works fine on iOS 5.0 but does not work on iOS 5.1

Try a reset: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go. (No data loss)

Actually the Licensing information for the package is missing hence it is not launching any applications. You need to Reserialize the products using APTEE which you can find it on the Machine where you have created the package. If you dont have the access to that Machine then please download and install Creative Cloud Packager and it will download APTEE in the below mentioned location.
Windows:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\CCP\utilities
Once downloaded please follow this KB article to use the Tool.

There isn't anything you can do about that except to get the sleep/wake button fixed. It is an integral part of the phone and is used for troubleshooting steps as well. Using a device without one is just waiting for trouble. However, if you want to, you can go to Settings>General>Accessibility and turn on Assistive Touch. Then to lock the phone, tap on the Assistive touch button, tap on Device, then tap on Lock screen.

Using GMail as the mail app doesn't work

I have Firefox 11.0, OS X 10.7.3 Lion. In Firefox, I go to Preferences / Applications, and set the default MailTo app handler as GMail. I restarted Firefox, when I click on a mailto link nothing happens (just the click highlight). I installed Google Notifier, and when I launch the Mail app, I made sure the default mail program is Google Notifier. Still doesn't work.

Interestingly enough, clicking a hyperlink from Safari works great - launches Firefox tab with a new message composed.

Packager Created App Doesn't Work On iOS 3.1.3

I compiled an app from Flash CS 5.5 and tried installing through iTunes and I get an error saying a newer version of iOS was required. It seems odd that the packager doesn't support older iOS versions. Will I have to install CS 5 in order to get iOS 3 compatible apps?

If you want one app to be able to work on old devices, but live with the older features and performance, and another version that uses the new features, and better performance, but only works on newer devices, then yes. As the new version would also allow you to use the Retina display, you could perhaps call it "HD", or something else that's different to explain why there are two different iPhone versions of the same app.
If you currently have an app in the store that you're trying to update, then it will have to keep the old features and performance, you're not allowed to upload an update that drops support for devices that the earlier version supported. So again, you could have a new app that is named differently, that doesn't support the old devices.
Any of the people who bought your earlier app and now want the new better performing Retina version, would have to pay again. You might think about having an incredibly good intro price, just so as to not upset those people too much.

I updated my software to OS 6 on my iPhone 4 (not S), now the phone app doesn't work.

I receive texts and voicemail, but can't call out or receive calls. I have full bars of service. When I try calling I get a calling screen, then it beeps, and I get a call ended screen, no ringing sounds whatsoever. I tried resetting network settings, but that didn't work.

DO NOT restore all settings!!!! This will require you to call and reactive your services, rendering your phone a useless brick! You will lose all contacts, photos, etc... You need to restore your phone to its last back up. Then do the update on your computer. This will resolve your issues.

Hi, there is a problem happened on my all apple product, that is the FaceTime app doesn't work very well since about 2 weeks ago. this issue is happened when i try to FaceTime to my friend in China, it shows "connecting" all the time.

But when I use facetime between ipad and iphone, under my home wifi, it works fine.
is that only happened to connect to facetime user in China?

Most likely you have Office 2004 which are PPC-only applications and will not work in Lion. Upgrade to Office 2011. Other alternatives are:
Apple's iWork suite (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.)
Open Office (Office 2007-like suite compatible with OS X.)
NeoOffice (similar to Open Office.)
LibreOffice (a new direction for the Open Office suite.)

Since iOS 7 update I am no longer able to connect to Opel Insignia navi cd 500 system via cable. The system is no longer recognizing my iPhone 4. Is there any solution?

First time I connected after an update, there was a message on the phone that this accessory is no longer supported. After that there were no more messages and car's display is showing the message "no USB device connected" even though iPhone is connected to a cable. It was working fine on iOS 3, 4, 5 and 6.

I had this problem. I held down the power switch to power down completely. Takes a few seconds. Then use the power switch to turn on. Might take a couple goes.

- If you need additional info on speed, I read an article that proposed to use the bumps in the road to measure speed (first bump on front wheels, then on rear wheels) by using an acceleration-sensor.

Audio through a dock connection is at line level, also called line out. Line level volume is not adjustable. You need to change the volume using the controls on the iHome device, or its remote.
