Goods recipient cannot see PO to do confirmation in SRM

Hi Experts!
I have modified the Goods recipient of my purchase order in SRM. But the goods recipient cannot see the purchase order to do confirmation.
Does my goods recipient need to have extra authorisations to be able to see such a pruchase order ?
Do I need to do some configuration (on partner role) so that my goods recipient can see the PO and eventually do confirmation ?

For performance reasons, it is generally the case for transactions BBPCF01 and BBPCF03, that the proposal list contains a maximum of 50 purchase orders. In addition - also due to performance reasons - no backend orders are selected via selection option 'All' if all other selection parameters are initial. However, the number of purchase orders in the proposal list of transaction BBPCF02 is not restricted.

I guess the environment is SRM 5.0

Making shopping cart visible to goods recipient :

Hi Experts!
I need to modifiy the goods receipient of my shopping cart and this change must make the shopping cart become visible to the new goods recipient.
I have done some prototypes and noticed that only when I change the REQUESTER and the GOODS RECIPIENT that the shopping cart becomes visible to the new recipient.
Otherwise, if I modify only the goods recipient, this makes no difference to the supposedly new recipient.
If I modify only the goods recipient of a shopping cart, should I expect the goods recipient to see the shopping cart? Or do I need to modify the requester of the shopping cart as well , i.e making the requester as the good recipient?

Hi. No, you must use a different transaction, BBPCF03 - Central receipt.
This transaction allows any user to receive any PO.
You can then restrict this using the BADI so that the user can only receive the POs where they are the recipient for.
You must change your roles to have transaction BBPCF03 instead of BBPCF02.

Cannot See FW800 External Drive in Finder (other Mac confirms is there)

I cannot see an external drive connected via Firewire 800, yet it is definitely there from two tests: 1) when I disconnect it I get the typical warning of not ejecting first; and 2) from another Mac on the network, when logged into this Mac, I can see and access the drive in that Mac's Finder. Seems weird that the other Mac can see it connected to this Mac, but the Finder on this Mac cannot. Any tips/suggestions appreciated!

I've got several drives from OWC, some using the Hitachi drive and two with Seagate drives. Most of them are FW800 or what they call Quad interface (esata, FW800, FW400, USB2). I'm not aware of any other reports of problems with OWC drives. I move them around quite a bit to different Mac's with Leopard and Snow Leopard without a problem. Since you said the drive shows up on other Mac's (running SL?) I suspect a problem with your OS or the FW800 port on your machine (could be hardware or driver related). I'm assuming that the drive does mount properly in FW400 and USB2, right? Also, I'm assuming that you have already used Disk Utility to Repair your boot drive's permissions.
Just for drill, I always create a temporary admin user account to verify that a problem is actually in the OS and not some left over code in my user account.
If you do this, and the problem continues in the new account I'd make sure you have a bootable backup and look at re-installing SL from the boot disc (it will automatically do an "Archive and Install). I like this explanation of the changes with the SL installer:

Adding the E-Mail Adress to partner Goods Recipient in Sales order

Hello.
We are creating sales orders either with EDI (IDOC ORDERS) or function module BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2.
In both cases the tables for partners doesn't include a field for the E-Mail adress.
So we send the E-Mail Adress as Name4.
When creating the sales order we want to send the Goods Recipient a message by Mail using the SAP-Standard routines. Therefore we need the Mail Adress in the corresponding field in the header-partner.
Does anyone have an idea how the move the Mail Adress from Name to Mail adress?
During creation of the sales order the adressnumber is not defined.

IDOC problem during goods confirmation in SRM

Hi guys,
I am facing some problem during goods confirmation in SRM.I am getting an error relate to IDOCs.i have setup the desired message and partner ID for goods confirmation in SRm but the IDOC gets stuck with the code 30 and the idicator is yellow.But when i manually reproces trhe IDOC after that it works fine.I dont want to process it manually.Can anyone help me out with the possible source of problem.

I did not quite get what you are trying to say.Could you please be more detailed.The below is my requirment and we are on ECS.
I want to have a specific user as the central goods receipent.This user must be able to confirm goods and services for PO's created by all other users in that organization.
My understanding from this thread is that,this can be achived by assigning the role "SAP_BBP_STAL_RECIPIENT",to that user and that user will be able to confirm goods and services for all PO's created by other user also.I tried to do the same and expected to see all PO's created by all other users when i click "Confirm Goods/Services centrally" .

Goods recipient field not available when creating a service purchase req

We are trying to create a release strategy for purchase requisitions with acount assignments K, F and P. The release strategy would use the requisitioner and goods recipient fields to determine the release group. The issue is when creating a purchase req with item category D for any account assignment, the recipient field cannot be populated. It is greyed out. I tried setting the field as mandatory in the IMG at the account assignment level but it doesn't prompt me for a recipient if item category D is entered. Is there a way to allow this field to be populated? I don't care if the value is transferred to the purchase order but I need it populated to determine the appropriate release strategy. We are not using workflow so that is not an option. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Srinivas, I appreciate the response but the requisitioner field is not the problem. I can set that field to mandatory. The issue is I cannot populate the recipient field that's located on the account assignment tab of the purchase req. The recipient field can be populated if the item category field is blank but as soon as I populate the item category with D for service, the recipient field is unavailable. Is there a way to populate this field when the item category is D?

Cannot see emails in the inbox, but can send emails out. why?

I bought the Galaxy S III about 3 months ago, and have been struggling to set up my personal email (my own domain hosted by godaddy.com). my gmail accounts sync up nicely from day 1.
Today, a tech rep from Godaddy.com suggested that i turn off wi-fi, and set up the account using the phone connection only. That seemed to work, and i was able to set up personal email accounts (my own domain).
Issues: i cannot see any email in the Inbox. Every time i hit the button "load up to 50 more messages", the Update icon would spin for a few seconds, but no emails show up. the message said "account last synced on date..., time....". still no emails in the Inbox.
a) i tried using the email software that came with the phone for the (the icon has an envelope and a red seal in the middle). the email was correctly set up, i was able to send emails out, but still no emails show up in my inbox.
b) i tried using the K9 email app (downloaded from apps market, free). the email was correctly set up, i was able to send emails out, but still no emails show up in my inbox.
Does anyone know what i did wrong? or is something wrong with my phone?

I would try clearing out your inbox as much as possible, and then try it. Maybe it cannot index correctly to download because there are so many. Just a thought.

Sub Contracting PO Collaboration Process, Manual GR in SNC using Goods Recipient View

Hi,
I have a 3rd party PO in R/3 with the SC Vendor tick. So PO is sent to my Vendor A who will have 'ship-to- Party' as Vendor B and me as buyer.
So Vendor A can log into PO Details (Supplier) and do confirmation (Acknowledgement - AB) and ASN (LA).
And the same can be seen by Vendor B in ASN Details (Goods Recipient) login.
{ Delivery -> ASN Maintenance -> ASN Overview (Goods Recipient) / ASN Details (Goods Recipient) }
The challenge is two fold:
1) The GR needs to be done by Vendor B once he receives the goods. The GR option does not exist in Goods Recipient view but in Customer View (Buyer) only. Since the goods are going to be shipped to Vendor B, I need him to do the GR in lieu of me; the buyer.
2) Once he manages to do the GR, standard SNC does not give me option to send the msg back to my R/3 system. I also do not have a msg output type in SNC that I send the signal back to R/3 once the Vendor B does the GR. So which program / user exit do i enhance to send this msg back to R/3.

VMWare Fusion - Cannot see other computers in the Workgroup

For some reason I'm unable to see or access other machines in my Windows Workgroup from within Fusion 1.1.3. Alternatively, I cannot see or access the VM from other WinXP machines in my workgroup. The other WinXP machines in my workgroup CAN at least ping the VM. I cannot ping anything outside of the VM other than OS X and my gateway/router. And yes, I've tried disabling the firewall on both the VM and other Windows machines in my Workgroupto no avail.
I am currently using a Bridged network configuration in Fusion. If I open an explorer window in the VM and type in the UNC path to OS X I can access it, but not other Windows machines on my network... why?
Perhaps someone can at least confirm whether they can access/see other computers in their Workgroup from Fusion?
Maybe this simply isn't possible under Fusion and I'm just going around in circles here...

Leopard cannot see hard drive on any Mac running Tiger.

Running Leopard 10.5.2 on a Mac Pro 3GHz 4-core w/6GB RAM. I cannot connect to any hard drive / root directory on any Mac on my network running Tiger (10.4.9, .10 or .11) or OS9. Yes I have an Avid Meridian in the edit suite runing OS 9.2.2. No laughing please...
I can connect to the User folder on any Mac running Tiger but not any hard drives on any Mac running Tiger from a Mac running Leopard. The hard drive cannot be accessed from a User folder even if an alias of the Tiger drive is placed in the ~/User/Public folder.
The reverse works as usual. Any Mac running Tiger can see any hard drive on any networked Mac including Macs running Leopard.
Has anyone else encountered this issue &/or found a workaround? I spent almost 2 hours with Apple Tech Support including a system specialist. They confirmed this behavior in Leopard connected to Tiger OS Macs. Hard drives can be seen between all Macs running Leopard. It was theorized by one of the Apple techs that the behavior was engineered to encourage upgrading all Macs to Leopard. BAD idea! I requested this be reported to Apple engineering.
Tiger can see any drive on the network back to OS7. Leopard cannot see previous OS version hard drives.

I suggest that you repeat the external boot process with your MBP. If it boots the MBP, the internal SATA cable probably is faulty and should be replaced.

Download and read the documentation for Carbon Copy Cloner which is handy and what a lot of us have used over the years to clone, migrate and backup or manage drives and storage.
I think 500GB is overkill for boot drive as most of your apps and OS only need less than 150GB, and all of your data and media and home folders can be anywhere you want and not on the boot drive. Also, Apple way over charges for 2TB drives and no reason or value to do so. That is history now but fwiw.
You could I guess setup one 2TB as boot drive easy enough. Then migrate etc. Make that a backup of everything. Then manually or with CCC or other you can clone just what you want to SSD and to the other 2TB drive.
Apps should always go to the boot drive, the SSD in this case, and not to other locations. No benefit putting them elsewhere.
When you migrate are your files on TimeMachine or just standard files and folders? and can't selectively copy? Honestly never found need to use M.A. more than once probably.
