I have an AT&T M-Cell that gives 5 bars, got full-strenth wifi. Same wi-fi that my computer uses, that my Kindle uses. So not capacity issue. but my Internet on phone drops out continuously and frequently, any app that uses internet doesn't work at all. It seems like it started when I upgraded to 7.1.1 I have connectivity like crazy, so why doesn't the internet work?

Anytime I'm shopping for something online now, a bar pops up over the product image with suggestions for buying the same product or similar products online from other websites. It's got "Special Savings" in the bar as the title and says it's powered by "superfish" when you open it. I've not signed up for anything like this and it seems to have started when I updated firefox the last time. I can "x" out of it, but it's a pain and I'd like to get rid of it. You might have an add-on doing this. Try to see if you have any add-ons doing this. To see if an add-on is affecting it please start firefox in [[Safe Mode]]

One more thing. I just update my iphone that my boss gave to me but it seems to be like it giving me some trouble. My iphone was updated not too long and was successful. I try to lock into it and it telling me emergency call. I plug it to my itune and it telling me that the sim card is not valid or supported. So I inserted my sim card that I usually use to call and it still saying the same. Please help me get into it.

And as far as paying for phone support, here are a few tips:
If you call your carrier first and then they route you to Apple, you usually don't have to pay for phone support.

Tried that by shutting down via the power button only as the normal shutdown was nixed by the open window issue. It did not help. Found a very similar question in the discussions and it recommended "Force Quit". That worked and the update works normal and the window is gone. Thanks!

But you could use the iPhone Simulator of Xcode if you have access to an Mac. Like the name explains, it simulates an iPhone on an Mac, but you cannot use all standard apps

Hi, like some other users here, I'm facing the inability to open my wmv attachments in my mail -which is quite frustrating considering that most of my friends are windows users. I know iPad doesn't support wmv and some other windows video files, but isn't there any app that can get around this problem? I searched Appstore and one of the results I got was called AirvideoFree but dumb 'ol me can't understand how it works. Their website doesn't help much either. Any answer (in simple to follow steps) is welcome. If this app is not what I'm looking for-is there any other available?

I contacted Omar with support for Azul and was quickly answered. I was having the same problem. Since iOS4 multitasks you will need to double click the home button to show apps running in the back ground. Hold down on the app until it wiggles. At that point x out or close Azul. Now go back to your mail and click on the attachment and you get option to open with Azul and by using that it will open and play the .wmv file.
Omar said problem is a bug and they are working to fix it in an upcoming update. This is a great little app and the price is very reasonable IMHO. The above mentioned work around involves a couple of extra clicks but since I could not even view .wmv before I am happy with the work around.

Internet Explorer is not available for Mac.
But you can make Safari pretend to be Internet Explorer in some cases.
    Safari > Preference > Advanced
    Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
    "Develop" menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.
    Click Develop, move mouse down to "User Agent".
    Select Internet Explorer from popup on the rightside.
    After using Internet Explorer, revert back to Safari, doing the same routine.

Any apps that makes a URL connection crashes

Any app that connects to the internet using a url address on my MacPro crashes (Software Update, Safari, iTunes, App Store, etc). I can connect to the other computers on my network normally and have no problem moving files back and forth. I can ping an external IP address, but anything that tries to connect to the internet using a url causes a program crash. My other computers on the network can connect to the internet normally.
In the crash logs there is always a Crashed Thread and lines similar to the following:

It appears that there is some sort or URL connection problem. I've tried repairing permissions, rebuilding the directory, checking the hardware, and rebooting, but none of these have had any effect.
Any suggestions of what to try next would be appreciated.

Sorry, but the software development kit doesn't allow an app that sort of access and control. If you need to block a number, not just ignore it, that would be up to your cell carrier, so you'll need to talk to them.

HT203200 When I try to sync my iphone to my imac it deletes any apps that I have added on my computer and wont install on my iphone and visa versa. Itunes wont let me authorise from the imac with errors of -54 and -50. Can you pls help??

When I try and sync my iphone (backup) with my imac any apps that I have put on the imac OR my iphone will not sync to eachother, so I lose some of my apps. WHen itunes (on the imac) tells me to authorise the changes/apps and I put my details in, it comes up with an itunes error code of -54 and -50. I cannot sync my iphone correctly to back up on the imac and I need to do this as I use my phone for work. I have an iphone 4GS and run Mac OS X 10.6.8.

Thank you Carolyn, I understand that and do use the same P/w for both the iphone and the computer and the apps were origionally for the iphone anyway, they just used to back on the computer and now they wont and the imac even cancels them off my iphone when I sync. And it says "Itunes" has made an error, try again...with the coes -54 and -50. This means I canot ack up my iphone properly.
