Gran Turismo Academy 2015

Welcome to the Nissan Gran Turismo Academy 2015 thread.
With the release of the 1.18 update we have our first glimpse of what lies in store.
Most details are yet to be revealed, but we can take a look at what we know so far.
As per the 2014 GT Academy, this years competition will be held over 4 rounds.
The first round will begin on the 21st of April.
Each round will run for 2 weeks, and then the following round will be opened.
So the schedule is as follows :
Round 1 : Commences 21st April
Round 2 : Commences 5th May
Round 3 : Commences 19th May
Round 4 : Commences 2nd June
At this stage the full list of countries officially participating is yet to be released.
And while everyone is able to take part in the online events, unfortunately those that don't live in a participating country will not be included in the final selection process.
However, we do have confirmation that the UK and Australia will be on that list.
Below are some official links to keep an eye on.

I will also add this web-page set up by Nissan Australia where you can 'Register your interest' and stay up to date on all the latest information.

This thread will be updated as more details come to hand.
Please feel free to ask any questions, offer advise, or just simply chat about the 2015 GT Academy.
Best of luck to one and all.

Seeing as we are a little short on official details, perhaps we can take a look back at last years events and speculate what might be in store.
The dates of the 2014 GT Academy match exactly with this years dates.
They were as follows:
Online Event Schedule
Round 1 - 8:00 (BST) April 21, 2014 until 07:59 (BST) June 16, 2014
Round 2 - 8:00 (BST) May 5, 2014 until 07:59 (BST) June 16, 2014
Round 3 - 8:00 (BST) May 19, 2014 until 07:59 (BST) June 16, 2014
Round 4 (Final Qualification Round) - 8:00 (BST) June 2, 2014 until 07:59 (BST) June 16, 2014
*You can start anytime before the end of Round 4.
Essentially all rounds lasted 2 weeks before the next one opened, and therefore the online events ended on the 16th June.
Note how you could still enter all of the events right up to the closing date.
The total number of qualifiers for the 'National Finals' varied from country to country.
And generally half of the qualifiers were from the online events, and the other half from live events.
Both the UK and Australia each had 28 qualifiers that went to their respective National Finals.
Last year there was also a Facebook based 'GT Academy Challenge'.
Now for the 2014 events.
Round 1 : Nissan Leaf G around Brands Hatch Indy Circuit.
Round 2 : Nissan 370Z around Apricot Hill Raceway.
Round 3 : Nissan GT-R Black Edition around Mount Panorama.
Round 4 : GT-R NISMO GT3 Team RJN '13 around Spa-Francorchamps.
At the start of Round 3, those living in participating countries were requested to accept or decline the competition's Terms & Conditions.
This had no bearing on players not within participating countries.
And in Round 4 a new "Your Region" leaderboard was added. If those living in participating countries reached the top spots on their leaderboard, they were able to progress to the National Finals.
But what about us mere mortals who won't make the grade?
Each round of course had decent credit payouts.
And players who obtained Gold in Round 4 were awarded the GT-R NISMO GT3 Team RJN '13.
Also, a few months later all 2014 GT Academy participants received a Nissan GT-R NISMO.

So that about wraps up the review of the 2014 GT Academy.
Hopefully that gives you some insight as to what to expect for 2015.

Same problem here, also its happening in DUST 514. Only this 2 games crash my FAT PS3... I think its FW fault

GT6 WITH OLD FATTYS!!  This is a copy of my conversation with support.  More people need to complainJessica W.: Hi, my name is Jessica W.. How may I help you?
eric true: hi I have gt6 and an old backwards compatable fatty ps3, it keeps crashing turning the system off. I know its happening to a lot of people, what should I do?
Jessica W.: I see, Eric. I'd be happy to look into this for you today. This game title shouldn't normally crash a PS3 system, unless the console itself is overheating/having trouble with the fan, or some other internal hardware.
So we can best troubleshoot the issue and figure out a solution together, I am going to need the model and serial number of your console. Please turn your PS3 around and look for the white barcode label located on the back of your unit. Please give me all of the numbers located on that label beginning with the letter "C".
eric true: hi sorry its not overheating, it is happening to everyone who has the new gran turismo 6 and the bwards-compt ps3.
Jessica W.: I have not heard anything to suggest this is a common issue, but I would be happy to still troubleshoot your console to see if we can get it working. If it still has trouble playing your game, we can definitely set up your system for service.
eric true: look on any forum about Gran Turismo 6, do you want the web page?

    eric true:  http://community.eu.playstation.com/t5/Gran-Turismo/Gran-Turismo-6-Bug-Reports/td-p/20309163
Jessica W.: I can understand your frustration, however a small portion of the gaming community who posts about a particular issue online can make it seem like it's a wide spread problem when there are in reality thousands or millions of other gamers who can play the game just fine on all types of PS3 system. We have some older "Fat" models of PS3 here, that work fine with these newer games (including Gran Turismo 6).
    eric true: ok, mines not
    eric true:
Jessica W.: So I can help you with this issue though, may I please have the serial number of your console?
eric true: its a clean machine only with this game.  I've done a reset and everything.  I'm at work so I don't have the serial #  What would you suggest?
Jessica W.: Ah, I see. When you say you've performed a reset, do you mean you've restored the whole PS3 system, and erased all your old data?
eric true: yes, then held down the power button twice until it beeped 3 times
Jessica W.: So you mean you've accessed Safe Mode, and saw a menu of 6 different options?
    eric true: yes
Jessica W.: Of the 6 options, which did you attempt doing?
eric true: and chose the 5th I believe, the guy on the phone support  yesterday told me to do that
eric true: from your supportJessica W.: If you have already fully troubleshot your PS3  and restored the PS3 system "Safe Mode option 5 (on US consoles)," the only other option I would suggest is trying to vacuum out your console's vents of any dust that has collected there on the fan. You can do so using a vacuum with a hose attachment -- we don't recommend using canned/compressed air, as this can force dust further inside.
Jessica W.: I would be happy to check on the steps you've already taken with our phone agent. May I have the phone number you used to reach us?
eric true: Im hoping it will be an update,a patch, since its a problem only with this game, worldwide, which was released last week.  do you ways of checking that?
Jessica W.: At this time, if you believe the issue is a software problem (and you have spoken to our software specialists/moderators on our community forums--make sure they're from  http://community.us.playstation.com/ as 3rd party sites are not Sony software specialists), you can definitely wait for a patch for the game itself.
eric true:  yes but I'm telling you its only with this game, and this model ps3
eric true: ok, thats what I wanted to know, do you know how I can find info on that?
Jessica W.: Although I have no information from our company, SCEA (Sony Computer Entertainment of America) confirming if this is a widespread issue, there's no way for us to service your console from outside the US or troubleshoot further with the software of the game.  We don't have information on future patches either, as these would only be announced via the moderators on our forums above, or on our blog at  http://blog.us.playstation.com/
eric true: ok thanks for your help
Jessica W.: You're very welcome, and I do sincerely appreciate you checking in with us today. Thank you for contacting North America PlayStation Chat Support, and there is a brief survey at the end of this session.  Once we disconnect, please feel free to answer some questions regarding your chat experience with us.
    eric true: ok goodbye
    You have disconnected.

    1. Unnecessary horizontal scrollbar
Often there is a horizontal scrollbar, which should not be. But I can not find depending on when it happens. It should appear only at a resolution lower than 1280x800 pixels. Sometimes it even appears on my screen 1920x1200. Maybe it’s Facebook button?
Anyway, it’s awfully pain in the *** thing.  If a scroll bar appears, strongly hinders the scrolling using the top menu (page scrolls up a bit to the side).
    The problem usually occurs at:

    2. ”Text / Space Before" is different in design mode than in preview mode.
I always must remember to change value to 0 in the first paragraph. When I forget, the page does not look good.
    http://leftlane-test.businesscatalyst.com/space-before.html
    3. Scaling images reduces the smoothness of scrolling
Automatic resizing of images is great. I'd love to use this option. This gives better control of the resolutions. Party becomes more clear, and creating layouts convenient. Unfortunately it slows down scrolling even on modern computers.

    4. Gradient at different angles
I could use possibility of fill objects with photographs and translucent gradient at the same time. Something like theverge.com. You can now fill object with a photo or gradient and it  can only be set vertically or horizontally.
    5. Snapping of slider „Fade Position 2”
The slider does not stick to the bottom edge of the object, and it would not hurt if they did. This would simplify my daily work.
    6. Double-typing title and description
To properly display link to article on Facebook I need to add multiple tags. They land in the „Head”. However, it is exactly the same stuff what I wrote already in fields Title / Description. Are these all tags can not create automatically?
In addition, each page also requires go:image – thumbnail which is used by Facebook. I would rather click on one of the photos in article. Then select that this particular photograph to be a thumbnail.

Each new article do by duplicating old one. Then I complete it with new content. Unfortunately, each time favicon is losing quality. I have to remember to replace it.

how can i upload master data (chart of account) from BW 0GL account info object to BPC Account Dimension ?
how can i upload the hierarchy, there is no hierarchy in ECC for the chart of account

SAP offers free content + documentation in the form of rapid-deployment solutions (RDS).
In the Extended Financial Planning Rapid-deployment solution, there is a module called G/L Financial Planning which includes the full load of SAP-based account dimension from SAP ERP to BPC via BW. This content introduces BPC-based Package Links as a best practice way to load master data (including the account hierarchy and transaction data).  You can download the content and documentation from the highlighted page above or HERE.
SAP also offers free training on the EPM rapid-deployment solutions in the EPM RDS Academy 2015 on SAP JAM. If the link to the Academy does not work, please register HERE and SAP will invite you.

  • Wait... Installing...

I am translating into English the message I published a few hours ago in the Spanish forum. That's why the screenshots are in Spanish. Hello, A few days ago I had trouble installing Gran Turismo 6's last update, having no other option than disconnecting the console as it was freezed with the screen in black. I restored the console to factory settings and tried to update its system, but when it restarted to begin with the installation of the update, it just stopped working. I had to call the technical service and send it for repair. Yesterday, 4:00pm approx. After a week of waiting time, my PlayStation was back. Well, not exactly mine, but a refurbished one. At least the outside part seemed to be new, because it had plastics on the shiny part and the disk tray. I don't know how it is inside. Yesterday I inserted the Gran Turismo 6 disk into the console and it started to download game updates, exactly 12 of them. After a long wait, they finished downloading at midnight, more or less. After that, the next screen appeared, but the remaining time was only 3 minutes. I did wait for like 30 minutes and the screen was still the same.  Wait. Installing... Do not turn off the system while the Hard Disk access indicator is flashing. Time remaining: 270 min.  Because of this, and because the console had been turned on quite an amount of time, I pressed the PS button in order to go back to the menus and turn it off. Curiously, the console did beep once and it restarted, without consequences, fortunately. I turned it off in the normal way and I went to sleep. Today, 9:00am approx. This morning I woke up and I turned the console on, and the screen shown is the one from the picture above. At the beginning, the remaining time is like 200 or 400 minutes, but then it reduces to a few, less than ten, but they never end. Today, 10:45am, I update the situation   The installation process has stopped and the next screen is shown.  Error. An error has occured during installation. Accept. When I accepted, the installation process started again. I fear I might be in a loop. Let's see If you can give me some advice or suggestion because I don't know how to act, and I want to play the game soon. Again, thank you in advance. If you speak Spanish, you can answer me here.

Hi .Sorry to hear of your troubles.    Yes that HTTP 403 error seemed to affect quite a few people over the weekend.Hopefully things have calmed down since. Not sure what you mean by 'pausing during game play'.But I would have perhaps had a go at a couple of Safemode functions before deleting the install, just incase any HDD issues were able to be solved that way. Anyway, let's see if we can move forward. So it sounds like you deleted everything okay and successfully re-downloaded the game. But then hit trouble with the updates. It also sounds like you've had a decent read of some of the tips, which is good.I'm still a fan of establishing that the game is running as it should on v1.00 before proceeding. And I'm still a fan of the XMB update option as opposed to doing it in-game. There is a new PS3 FW update available ... v4.66 (I think)Just make sure your console is fully updated as well. Regarding the step approach for updates. As you can probably guess, I haven't had to do it for GT6. (cross fingers, touch wood, etc)So I can only assume it still works the same way it did a few updates ago. By that I mean that once you're all set and ready to start downloading the updates, you should see it is done via multiple files.(it will probably will tell you 1 of 13 when you first start)So the idea is the first file will download, and it will then install.Once done it will move to downloading 2 of 13, and again once that's downloaded move onto installing 2 of 13. You are able to stop the download process after any file has downloaded and installed by pressing 'circle'So if you wish, you can watch file 1 of 13 download, then install, and then see it change to file 2 of 13.And then once it's begun downloading file 2 of 13 you can press 'circle' to cancel the update process. You've now effectively updated one patch. You can then play GT6 (either offline or by cancelling any prompts to sign-in) and check you've advanced to the next version and the game is playing as it should. Slowly you can creep up on being fully updated to v1.14. Here's the patch sizes so far :The list below is my best knowledge as to the size of each update file.v1.01 = 1.2GBv1.02 = 1.2GBv1.03 = 99MBv1.04 = 214MBv1.05 = 100MBv1.06 = 295MBv1.07 = 961MBv1.08 = 1.4GBv1.09 = 598MBv1.10 = 2.1GBv1.11 = 30MBv1.12 = 484MBv1.13 = 9.5MBv1.14 = 548MB You can use this as a guide to know how many 'files' at one time you wish to download and install before cancelling the update process.I mean there's probably not much point going one update at a time for v1.03 through to v1.06 as they are all quite small, so you could do them in one hit.Be wary of v1.09 as it contained some physics changes and they altered all the cars default settings to accommodate the new physics. The install is quite demanding because of this.  Another option you could consider is using the consoles 'Backup' function. It's effectively like creating a restore point on a PC.You copy your PS3's HDD content to an external drive (that includes game data as well as save data)So let's say you get to v1.09 successfully.Downloaded, installed, and game is playing as it should.File size for v1.10 is over 2GB.Perhaps you might consider backing up the HDD before going any further with the updates.Saves you starting from v1.00 again should something go wrong downloaidn or installing the big file. Anyway, just a thought. Here's a post I did about it earlier if you are interested in trying it.http://community.eu.playstation.com/t5/Gran-Turismo/Gran-Turismo-6-installation-error-80029564/m-p/22651880/highlight/true#M159948  Hopefull there's something in this post that you'll find useful. If I'm off-target or you have other questions let me know. Otherwise best of luck with it and hopefully things run smoother for you next time you try.

  • Playstation 3 (PS3) error 80029564

Hello, I've been having a problem downloading games and game updates on my new Playstation 3. I've been researching the problem from the Sony side, but as far as I know it could be a problem from the Verizon side.
The error number 80029564 comes up while installing, and tells me that the data is corrupt. In each case, the error comes up at 14% installed.
    My Gear:
I have a brand new PS3 that I just purchased a few days ago.
I use Verizon FiOS for internet. I have a combo modem/router model no. MI424WR-GEN2, hardware version E, firmware version 20.19.8.
    What triggers the error:
I usually get the 80029564 error when I try to download a game or install an update.
    For example:
Little Big Planet 2 - finally did work on about the 4th try.
Rachet & Clank: All 4 One - I've tried several times, and it always gives me the 80029564 error.
Also, we bought Gran Turismo 5. It has 21 updates. It never makes it past update 10.
    Attempted Solutions (that failed):
Some things I've tried in my effort to fix the problem:
    - switched from wi-fi to ethernet connection
    - safe mode - rebuild database
    - set firewall to Low
    - switched DNS to Google IPs
    - verified that uPnP is enabled on the PS3 and the router
    - set up DMZ for PS3 IP
Still, problem not fixed. This is very frustrating, we've spent more time trying to get games to work than actually playing anything.
I'm hoping there may be other FiOS customers who have tackled this problem and can help me out with a solution!

Thanks for the information. I don't have a solution yet. I thought about trying the premium tech support, but the links I've found to it are broken.
The link about the NAT table issue is interesting. It at least gives me the idea that I should check out the router log for errors that might give me a clue.
I've thought about just calling Verizon and asking them to send someone out, but I'm more than a bit concerned about what kind of bill I might get from Verizon for that. Plus, I thought about trying the premium tech support, but the links I've found to it are broken.
I don't know how to resole your issue, since I have no PS3 myself, but the link, at least, I can help with: http://www22.verizon.com/home/expertcare/
Also, I can almost guarantee that a truckroll to fix a gaming system issue would be expensive, and potentially futile. It is unlikely that a field tech would be familiar enough with the PS3 to be of real help. (Though you might get lucky. It's just outside of their normal scope of support.)
If a forum member gives an answer you like, give them the Kudos they deserve. If a member gives you the answer to your question, mark the answer as Accepted Solution so others can see the solution to the problem.

Hey folks, how you doing? My name is Chris, 26 from Glasgow. I was a very keen gamer at a young age, heavily into my Sega mega Drive and Super Nintendo, i then didnt play much until Sega Dreamcast where I became obsessed with the likes of Shenmue, Jet Set Radio, Skies of Arcadia, i then followed up with a Playstation 2 where I played Final Fantasy 10, Tomb Raider, Reisdent Evil, I also had a Nintendo Gamecube and liked the platformers like Super Mario Sunshine, Zelda, Sonic, Super Monkey Ball, I then drifted off gaming for some reason, mainly lifestyle was more interested in going out being a student etc. I have been hooked back in as I got a Playstation 3 for Christmas, very late I know 7 years oops oh well Im hoping to get a good 2/3 years off this as I have such a back catalouge to play with and PS4 probs wont get going for a year or so and I wont pay launch prices. I have an ecletic taste but I prefer action/adventure, rpgs, platformers a little kiddish I know but its a lot of fun, I prefer more problem solving games but do like instant fix racing games. My PS3 collection (games i got for xmas) is Uncharted 3 (my fave, completed it already but will go back to get Trophys, will be checking out the other 2, love a good story) Final Fantasy 13 i think? Only played an hour of that but might do some of that tonight. Sonic Generations which is what I would say I play when I dont want something too hard, Gran Turismo which is really fun but I know nothing about cars so I only find it semi interesting, Resident Evil 6 which I have played an hour or so off, its still to grip me, I was a huge fan of Code veronica on Dreamcast and Res 4 on Gamecube but this isnt as good for me...yet. And the Tomb Raider trilogy which I love, but I still prefer the original games by Core Design. So please add me folks as I have no online friends, i will be getting more into the online RPG thing in the near future, people have recommended Skyrim to me if you can think of any I would like please give me a shout. I consider myself to be a good gamer, competitive but perhaps a little rusty as i have been out the scene a while. get adding parsonageflat5 bye for now

  • CS5 problem: Merge to HDR Pro & Incorrect EV values

    Hi,
I'm trying to use the HDR Pro option on Photoshop but have yet to find a way to circumvent an issue I'm having.
The game Gran Turismo 5 on the Playstaiton 3 has a photo mode and allows you to edit camera settings within the game and then export your image. Upon opening the images with Photoshop a message appears informing you the file's Photoshop data may be corrupt. You can choose to ignore this and the image will display as normal.
The real problem occurs when taking photos with different exposure settings and then trying to use the "Merge to HDR Pro" option. For whatever reason, the values embedded in the files are incorrect. I took three photos, the high level photo had an exposure value of -3.0 when viewed in HDR Pro which is obviously wrong, and the normal and low level photos both had a value of 0.0. Obviously these muddled up values cause the whole HDR process to go horrible wrong, as seen here:
    http://i53.tinypic.com/euh7ra.jpg
The Photoshop support pages inform me that for files with missing EV values, I can set them manually, however there is no such option for files with incorrect values. Is there any way I can alter the settings manually? Either through Photoshop or editing the files elsewhere?
    Thanks for any help.

It sounds like the game is writing incorrect EXIF data.
You'll have to edit or remove the EXIF data that provides the camera settings.
If the EXIF data is removed, then Photoshop won't find the metadata, and will prompt you for the values.
And if you put the correct values in the EXIF metadata, then it will just work...

  • Play Station Network Network Issue

I need some help. Here is my issue. A few days ago I was not able to log into Play Staion (4 days and counting). This is both from the  ps3 console and any pc in the house. The url that all logins go to is account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com.  So from my pc if i go to the play station store or gran-turismo.com they have a login button which goes to the above url. I immediately get page not found on IE or the webage is not avaiale on chrome. When I try to log in with my PS3, I immediately get a message that I have been disconnected. I have PS3 on DMZ and have never had an issue. I can go to account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com from cell phone or use cell phone as hot spot for PS3 and that works. I called PSN and they said it is not their issue, I asked if it were possible that a range of IP addresses are being blocked, and they said no. I called Verizon and they said not their issue as when I run a trace I can see it leave verizon to level3 and then to prolexic where the trace ends. That is norrmal as I had a friend do a trace and using account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com and it ends at prolexic and then times out, Sony probably has it set up to not respond to traces. I called Prolexic and they are going to see if they are blocking access.
My question is what else can I do, I have used multiple pcs, browsers and the console itself. I tried  google dns, rebooted pc, router, ps3 numerous times, renenwed ip address, checked router firmware, and nothing works. I think it is a routing or security issue on the internet. Could this be a Verizon issue or even my ip address being blocked by someone from getting to the credential page at Sony.Any help is appreciated.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

you likely just have a case of sony filtering certain ip blocks.
FWIW, these are not intentional blocks, what often happens is a new block of ip addresses is advertised, and if sony doesn't maintain or update their bogon filter list, then those don't get added to the allowed, and then you unintentionally get blocked.  simply renewing ip will not fix, you have to have a different subnet
The next time it happens try this and see if it helps.
Step 1 Record your WAN IP address at a website like whatismyip.com
Step 2  release your IP address
    Access the Verizon router GUI
Click on MY NETWORK icon at the top.
Select NETWORK CONNECTIONS from the menu on the left.
Select BROADBAND CONNECTION (coax or ethernet) depending on your connection to the ONT.
    Click SETTINGS
    Click RELEASE
    Click APPLY
Disconnect the router immediately to prevent it from re-requesting a DHCP lease.
Step 3 **important**  wait at least 5 - 10 minutes before connecting your router back up.
Step 4  Check to see if your subnet changed after reconnecting, visit whatismyip.com and verify.
report back to homebase after you try it

  • Gamers, question about graphics

Okay so I'm a big gamer and this iPhone is seriously awesome and rivals the PSP (if not surpasses it, i've only played it once but I read a lot of iphone > psp). My xbox 360 got the ring of red lights, so that's that
I notice that Apple says that the 3d graphics are improved (as well as processor, RAM, and such). However, I realize that game makers will need to satisfy their games for both the 3G and 3GS. I highly doubt that game makers will risk $$$ and only launch a slightly better looking/running game on the 3GS.
Do you think the focus of this "updated graphics" is basically to make the games run better overall? On my 3G, I know The Sims 3 would crash on me, and continuously got worse. Also, the sims ran pretty choppy when lots of things were happening at one time. Need for speed Undercover ran pretty smooth on my 3G, with slight hiccups.
They weren't lying, the 3GS does run my Sims 3 better. It's overall more smooth.
I'm excited to try out Firestorm Real Racing. Looks so neat, about like Gran Turismo 3 on PS2!

Yeah there are already pics/videos that show that the new iPhone 3G S has been underclocked:
"It runs at 600MHz, just as T-Mobile let slip last week, but according to Samsung’s spec sheet it can run at up to 833MHz and its native speed is 667MHz. This means that Apple is underclocking, presumably for better battery life."

  • SPDIF-In decoder crackling is

    Hello,
I have a problem with my X-Fi Platinum and built-in decoder for Dolby Digital signal. I connected my Xbox 360 or my PS3 on it (Optical In), using the bult-in decoder of the soundcard (both on Windows XP and Windows Vista) and when the sound is too loud or with some sounds, there is always a very annoying crackling sound (when there are explosions in Crackdown or in Gran Turismo 5 demo when skidding).
Is there a way to have this decoding issue fixed or to force use of another decoder than Creative's one in order to stop having this crackling issue ? Maybe by passing SPDIF input to another decoder or filter like AC3Filter, but how ?
    Thanks.

After reading many posts, it seems that the problem comes from the +4dB gain or the "Complete" option of Dolby Digital decoder. But the gain is not checked and switching from the default "Complete" to "Normal" mode for Dolby doesn't work at all, as if there were no changes, and this in any mode (Entertainment, Games or Music Creation).
Does anyone have a?solution to force change of these parameters ? I know that the crackling noise appears when the sound is too loud but it's impossible to change input volume when using built-in decoder, which is really a pain.

  • Patch Assistance

GT6 has updating issues now, so the best thing to do is to follow their instructions. http://community.eu.playstation.com/t5/Gran-Turismo/Recommended-GT6-Updating-Instructions/td-p/22766000

Hi all, I hope you can help me.
I had to completely start over Gran Turismo 6 from scratch as I had stopped playing last year, and ended up missing a number of updates. So I am back to version 1.00.
As I understand, I would need to update the patch one by one, e.g 1.00 to 1.01 then to 1.02 etc.
However the trouble is, that I can't find the patches to begin with, if I try to update to patch 1.20 from 1.01, the system doesn't understand the configurations as it doesn't have the previous patches installed.
Can anyone assist please? It would be nice to play this game updated again.

  • Shop vicariously through me!!!

There are quite a few of these "what should I buy?" posts and everyone seems to love giving their opinions so consider this:
I'm in Japan and I'll be here at least another year. I live in a tiny apartment with a tiny desk, my Logic use has outgrown my PBG4 and I'm tired of being hamstrung by this tiny screen.
My first instinct is to buy a Mac Pro and one of those big Dell/BenQ multi-input displays. That way Logic is all set for horsepower and display size and I can even watch movies and play Gran Turismo on a nice big screen. Trouble is, this all has to go home (USA) someday. Putting a mac pro and a 24" display through baggage on a plane makes me nervous and I wonder if shipping it is very cost-effective and/or safe.
An imac would be a more streamlined solution and it should suffice for Logic but it's probably only a little easier to ship home and then I wouldn't have the display input options I could get with a third-party display.
I could get a MB/MBP and a big external display but then I'd worry about outgrowing the hardware again and I'm not really sure all that will fit on my desk.
    Any suggestions?

i'm using the 41.03 Dets no problems with TV-Out either, using my Ti4600VIVO i've been playing Gran Turismo 2 on my emulator on the TV for the past month )
btw, 41.03 give you about 1,000 more marks in 3dmark 2001se over the 40.72, which are now WHQL
