GRC AC 5.3 and WebShop CRM 2007

Hi All,
my undarstaning was GRC AC  5.3 will be available to enable user provision for all SAP JAVA Stack applications.
I just heard that GRC AC 5.3 will not be able to manage user for WebShop CRM 2007.
Is anybody aware of this limitation on the new version of GRC AC ?

  • KNA1-KATR1 and others made visible on BP (SAPGUI and WebUI CRM 2007)

    Hello Experts,
I need to make visible the KNA1-KATR1 to 10 fields (ECC name and table) in CRM 2007. Can anybody give me some advice to go ahead for the SAPGUI and later on the WebUI as well?
    Thanks for your quick help.
    Regards,
    Markus Jungo

    Hi Urjose,
the KNA1-KATR1 - 10 fields are replicated to CRM, and stored in table CRMM_BUT_FRG0041
You can make the fields visible in CRM 2007 Web UI, by configuring the component BP_HEAD/AccountDetails.
In the available fields, under Marketing, you can find the Attributes.

  • Data Migration from CRM 4.0 to CRM 2007

    Hi experts,
we have transaction data to be migrated from CRM 4.0 to 2007, the transactions are having followup transactions, how can we transfer the transactions along with follow up transactions to CRM 2007, can any one share the documents, i know it can be done with idoc meathod. can any one suggest what are the pre requisites and what is the role of CRM consultant here.

Okay the only question is that is your CRM 40 system and the CRM 2007 separate systems?  If so then you can use the XIF IDOC adapter to setup the transfer between the two systems.
Now if the CRM 40 system is being upgraded to CRM 2007 then you don't have to "transfer" data.
As far as the CRM consultant role, you better understand basic IDOC setup and be able to do data mapping between the older and newer version.  Luckily you shouldn't have a lot of mapping work as 2007 IDOC structure is a refinement of 4.0.
For more XIF information search the CRM general and framework forum.
    Take care,
    Stephen

  • Vendor Number Range Conflict SAP ECC and CRM 2007

I need to load SAP ECC Vendor data from SAP to CRM and have setup most of the configuration as required. However I have an issue, the vendor number range used currently in our SAP system is already in use in our CRM system and has been for some time (for Prospects and Contacts).  What is the best approach to dealing with this issue...
My initial thought was to see if we could have two different numbers for the same vendor in ECC and SAP CRM
eg SAP Vendor "50000001" equates to CRM "VEN50000001"
Is such as approach supported?  Can you point me to the documentation that shows how such an approach could be implemented.  What approaches have others done to address similar issues?
    Thanks in advance
    Eddie
By the way we are on CRM 2007 sp4

    Hi Eddie,
SAP Note 1044637 - Customize Vendor Numbers
Implement the code present in the attachment. You can
change it according to your own requirements. The example code
suffixes 'VEND' before the first six digits of the vendor
number before it is downloaded to CRM.

  • Installation of CRM 2007 in Windows with oracle and cluster environment

    Dear Experts,
We are about to start the installation of CRM 2007 (ABAP+JAVA) with
Oracle 10g on Windows x64 in cluster environment. In the SAPINST dialog
box under High availability option, I could see installation options like ASCS
Instance, SCS Instance, First MSCS node, Database Instance, Additional
MSCS Node, Enqueue Replication Server, Central Instance and Dialog
    Instance.
I have gone through the installation guide. I have below queries
regarding the same. Can you please clarify the same
    1) Our requirement is we want to have an ACTIVE-ACTIVE cluster setup
with sap service running in Node A and Database running in Node B. Can
we have this setup in ABAP+JAVA setup
    2) Also,in the SAPINST dialog box as said above except last two
(Central and Dialoge instance) as per standard installation guide are
to be installed in shared drives as per the requirement. But, central
and dialog are said to be installed locally on any one node in MSCS or
in separate server. As per my understanding Dialog instance will be
used for load balancing which we do not require now. Hence I feel this
is optional in our case. Where as Central Instance I am not able to
understand why this option is for? Is it mandatory to be installed or optional. If
so, when I installed it in one of the MSCS node the incase of failover
how does it effect the system. As per my understanding ASCS and SCS
    comprise central instance.
Please clarify and thanks in advance.

    Nimrod
    hi ,
answering to ur second point - both are middleware .
with xi as a middleware ( when compared to crm middleware) xi/pi can communicate with both sap and non sap systems . when u say non sap  communication its means communication with http, soap , jdbc( any data base) , file systems, web services etc . further advantage would be that with xi (in place crm system) within the overall landscape can be part of automation process called bussiness process management or process integration(BPM/PI).
while sap crm middleware caters to only sap communication (idocs, bdocs, rfcs, bapi).
further when sap crm middleware used either the sender sysytem or reciever system has to be sap crm .  when xi is used the sender or reciever could be ANY system .

if customer purchases a product snd if not satisfied with the product,he calls to the call center.Call Center Executive creates a complaint and assign it to a service executive. he goes and finds that the it is a quality defect.he forwards this problem to the Quality Management department. If they finds that it is a quality defect then tells to return the product against which a new product has to be issues.
we have make this in a close lope between R/3 & CRM.
    Now my doubts are--
1-How will we maintain the stock update?
2-How will we maintain that the subsittute product delivery should be free of cost

  • CRM 2007 and Custom ISA 4.0 application interoperability

    Hi,
We are in the process to upgrade our CRM 4.0 back end system to CRM 2007, in fact we already performed the BASIS upgrade in our sandbox system to estimate the effort required for the upgrade on different areas.
One of this areas is related with the ISA web application, we have a custom ISA 4.0 application that we use to capture business transaction in our CRM system, but this application is running in a separate NetWeaver 7.0 system on the DMZ, we would like to know if it is possible to integration of the old ISA 4.0 with the new CRM 6.0 (CRM 2007) backend system.
The reasoning to try to leave the CRM ISA application on 4.0 is because we are using it just to provide us the framework to create transaction in CRM, in fact we only create one type of transaction in the CRM system from this web application and the effort to upgrade the java application to the new version together with the support package stack could be very high for a application that is not very heavily used.
In summary, the question is if it is architecturally feasible to connect a CRM ISA 4.0 web application with a CRM 6.0 (CRM 2007) backend system?
Thanks for your help with this,
    Zareh Vazquez

    Hi Zareh
Firstly I can advise that ISA 4.0 Is not compatible with CRM 2007.
One of the biggest issues that you will encounter if you attempt this
is the compatibility of the ISA application with
the Internet Explorer 7 and Mozilla Firefox 2 browsers.
In ISA 4.0 even if you can get it to work with CRM 2007 these browsers are
not supported and no workaround is currently available or planned to address this.
This compatibility has only been address in the later versions of ISA 5.0
As these browsers versions are now becoming more commonly used
I think that this will be important for your consideration.
Please review the following notes which discuss such issues.
244869 Problems with the display in Internet Explorer 7.0
    064439 Browser-specific stylesheets for Firefox and IE7
I hope that this will be of assistance.
    Warm regards.

  • Configurations required for  PME and SCE in SAP-CRM 2007

    Hi Friends
How to configure the PME and SCE in SAP-CRM 2007.
If u have any documentation avilable for those two topics regading the implementation of e-Commerce application.
    Waiting for ur reponse..

    Hi Mia,
Authorization group is available in the old versions and basically this help in defining new authorization groups and you can define what can be done with these authorization groups as what can be edited and what cannot be and this is done on SPRO. These authorization groups are entered in the authorization group and the user who has this authorization object will be able to work on the account.
So the business role in CRM 2007 has a PFCG role and the authorization profile that you created are assigned to the business role and users are assigned to the business role.
There are also few authorization objects to maintian the BP relationship and see if you can use these combination to check if it meets your requirement.
Hope it clarifies and if useful please reward points
    Thanks

  • Difference between SAP-CRM 2007 UI and previous version UI.

    hi,
anyone knows the differences difference between SAP-CRM 2007 UI and previous version UI.
anykind of links or files are helpful.
    regards.
    raman.

    Hi,
actually quite a late response and I think all the rather technically focuses comments have already been given, incl. the link to a really good slide deck, that explains all the technical architecture details on what exactly we did.
From an end user perspective some other statements on what we did:
    (1) From an information architecture and visualization perspective we acted based on feedback from our customers in the last years, which led to some restructuring of the screen, e.g. moving the navigation bar from the top area of the screen (horizontal) to the left hand side --> sounds simple but users tend to have problem seeing thing at the top of the screen. We also decided to arrange the information for e.g. an account or an opportunity not in a tab oriented format. Again usability tests in CRM had shown that users often find it hard to see and understand that tabs contain additional information. We now show the details in assignment blocks below the header information in a scrollable format. Vertical scrolling is a behavior of a screen that most users know from their internet experience. Those are just two exampels of what we did in this area
    (2) We also have put a large focus on well known web behaviors, like drag & drop and personalization in general, knowing that on the one hand side, no matter what standard UI we deliver, users tend to adapt it exactly based on their needs and wishes. So you will find really easy to understand personalization options everywhere in the new CRM Web Client UI. To achieve this we used lots of web 2.0 techologies that enable especially these easy interactive capabilitites.
    (3) Finally, and this relates directly to the arguments mentioned in (2) we focused as well on really easy UI configuration. Again, in every customer project user interface changes are made, to adapt the SAP default to the customers needs. here we invested a lot to make the 60-80% most common UI changes done in projects as easy as possible, that even non-technical people can generally do it (like Power users).
Hope this clarifies some arguments what from the users point of view has been done and what the advantages are.
When you follow the same link as mentioned by Nadine above, you can also find a presentation UI Concept, which explains all the details rather from a users perspective.
Best regards and enjoy the new UI ..and every feedback is very much welcome, only with your feedback we can improve the solution even more.
    Ingo

  • Can anyone explain the main differences between CRM 2007 and CRM 7?.

Can anyone explain the main differences between CRM 2007 and CRM 7?.
Does CRM 2007 use the WebUI?.
    Jason

My fault for not putting my question forward correctly.
I have worked with CRM 7 a few times now, but my experience has jumped me from CRM 5 straight to CRM 7, having never touched CRM 2007.
I now have an opening to work on CRM 2007 so I was intrigued to know what it physically looked like. I assume it does not use the WebUI interface?.

  • CRM 2007 Service Contract Determinatio and returns/complaints

    Hi gurus,
I'm currently struggling to set up the contract determination for our CRM 2007 for complaints and returns. I have set the flag contract determination D or F (both did not work for my tests). as well in the transaction type customizing I have set und customizing header the determination to service contract.
According to SAP help the copy control needs to be set up as well? I did not quite understand yet why, but I maintained a copy control between my contract and my return.  Any special settings needed between my source contract and target return?
last step should be the copy control for item categories? I maintained both:
    - Define copy control for item categories
    - Define item category determination when copying
From my contract item category to my return item category.
But still I don't have any contract determination in my return.
    Any hints please?

    Hi Pepe,
thanks for your answer (points rewared). I managed to get it running for complaints before you answered. Now struggling to get it for our returns running as well.
I have a question for the copy control: What exactly has to be set up there? I guess I did for our complaints more then needed.
    1. Copy control from contract to complaint transaction type.
    2. copy control from contract item category to complaint item category
    3. Define item category while copying: done the same as in step 2.
any special settings to consider for step 2?
