GRC AC v5.3 CUP - Initial Data Files

Hi All,
re: GRC AC v5.3 CUP - Initial Data Files
Our GRC-AC v5.3 CUP Dev system has too many roles and we want it to match our GRC-AC v5.3 CUP QA system. We do not want to go through one role at a time and delete them. Would it be the correct procedure to export the CUP QA system "Initial Data" files for "Roles" and import into CUP DEV using the setting "Clean and Insert".
Both systems are on the same CUP Version / SP / Build.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
John

Hi John,
Can you elaborate on what options you pursued to do mass role removal in CUP?
Thanks!

  • CUP Initial data

    Dear All
I have an issue with a CUP 5.3 SP13 install which I hope someone can help me with. I have loaded the initial files below in the sequence listed. This has given me the majority of default workflow types (Under Configuration>Miscellaneous) and the request types (Configuration>Request Configuration>Request Types).
However there are no workflow types for MITICTRL, MITIOBJ and RISK and the request types that use these workflow types are not there either.
I have tried reloading the files a number of times but it has not made any difference. Does anyone know if these files should be creating these entries and if not how to get them created?
    AE_init_append_data.xml
    AE_init_append_data_ForSODUARReview.xml
    AE_init_clean_and_insert_data.xml
    Thanks
    Barry

    Hello Barry
The initial data files that you are upload are relevant for AE only and you will get workflow type for AE only i.e. CUP
As per your requirement you want to create workflow for type MITICTRL, MITIOBJ and RISK which are related to CC (RAR).
To get these workflow type in AE (CUP) you need to integrate your CC (RAR) to AE (CUP) .
Kindly follow steps given  in configuration guide (page no : 27 ,topic :Workflow Integration with Compliant User Provisioning) .
After doing this also double check that in AE (CUP) you have upload initial data (mentioned initially in your post) files for SP 13 as for every SP initial files will be different.
Hope this will solve your problem.
    Thanks & Regards

  • GRC AC 5.3 CUP error

    Hi
We have installed GRC AC 5.3 and did the configurations for CUP. Now when I try to submit my request in CUP I am getting the below listed error while trying to go to the request submission screen. This error is recieved only after application of SP14 for CUP. However when I try to create a request on behalf of someone, i am able to move to the next screen to provide request details.
Also with the application of latest support pack, I am no more able to see the sign out/my name etc.. on the GRC screen. Earlier I used to see the same after I looged in to the same.
Below are more details from configuration side.

    Hi Anjan/Chinmaya,
We are facing the same error in our landscape here for the self service password reset functionality. We have GRC AC 5.3 SP15.
We are considering reimporting the initial data files in CUP but have a few concerns.
Will the reimport erase or affect existing CUP/SPM functionalities? With an audit around the corner, we don't want any existing request details/logs to be erased or the system to be affected.
Can you please help out with the steps on how to proceed with this upload? Is it necessary to click on Upgrade once the reimport is complete?
    Thanks,
    Mahesh Pai

  • Missing file:       /private/etc/cups/ppds.dat

Cannot open my printer's utility - Lexmark z23 - All was well, then we updated to 10.4.5.
I know this file is missing: /private/etc/cups/ppds.dat
Any thoughts on where I might access it would be appreciated, or, confirm for me I'm gonna have to slog thru all the packages on the original install cds to find it.... : - 0
    Thank you!!!!
YES, I read archived threads and know all about Miguel; - )

Geez Greg - Thanx for your time but that response is
almost insulting - Try restarting? That's like number
one on the newbie hit parade dude, right along
starting up holding down the shift key or running
    fsck -y. Thanks for trying.
And your response is supposed to make others want to reply?
Anyone else? Please. I'm starting to think I got
screwed from using this printer when I upgraded my OS.
A quick search indicates that Greg is correct that the file in question is built by cupsd as needed. Surprised? I'm not. You could have restarted your computer several times in the amount of time it took you to post your rant.
If you don't want to restart your computer, then just restart CUPS. If that doesn't work, reset the printing system from the Printer Setup Utility. You can also search and search through the installation disks. You won't find that file, however. CUPS gets installed as part of the Essentials.pkg. The ppds.dat file, however, is not a file that gets installed.
Back to your original post -- I don't see a connection that would lead to a conclusion that the missing ppds.dat file is causing your printer's utility not to open. Even when you restore the ppds.dat file, you may not be able to open the utility for some other reason.

  • I have an iMac with 2 internal drives and set-up with multiple user accounts.  How do I create a path to store data files on my second drive within an application?

I have an iMac with 2 internal drives and a multiple user account set-up.  Hw do I create a path to store data files on the second drive within an application?

This is the Mac mini forum not the iMac forum however...
Applications written for average users like Photoshop, Word, i.e. GUI based applications provide a 'Save' dialog box which while allow selecting second drives or any drive. The dialob box initially shown might be in the simple mode but you just need to click on the triangle to show the full set of options. You should then see the different drive names amongst other options.
If your referring to an application your writing yourself then you need to build a pathname. This can be in one of two styles depending on the programming system your using. This could be a POSIX style path or a Mac style path.
    POSIX = /Volumes/volname/foldername
    Mac style = Volname:foldername:

  • Use of PL/SQL to populate table columns from XML data file

I'm trying to find the easiest way to transfer data from a flat file that is in XML format into a traditional Oracle table. Not retaining the XML but actually map an XML element to a column so standard SQL, Forms, Reports, etc can access like it was created using a Form.
Example: Table A has column names Tom, Dick and Harry and the XML file has elements Tom, Dick and Harry and I just want a function that maps and inserts/loads the data into Table As individual columns.
The process needs to be easily initiated by an end user. The user gets the XML data file via an email attachment and needs to do something like a Concurrent Request to pull in the file and load it. Using PL/SQL would be great.
I appreciate any help that can be provided.

    Hi,
    HELP!!!!!
We are having the same problem and we are using oracle 10ir2.
We create an object type (sql type globally not in a package):
CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE G_EX AS OBJECT
    ( EX_ID NUMBER ,
    EX_CON VARCHAR2 ( 100 ) ,
    EX_L VARCHAR2 ( 30 ) ,
    EX_T VARCHAR2 ( 4000 ) );
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE G_EX LIST AS TABLE OF  GEX AS ;
then we insert data through a bulk collect within the package with the table declared of this array of object types:
    v_table G_EX _LIST:= NULL;
    SELECT G_EX (ex_id
    ,ex_con
    ,ex_l
    ,ex_t )
    BULK COLLECT INTO v_table
    FROM exs_lookup;
I am using the syntax (below) but it gives PL/SQL: ORA-00902: invalid datatype
    sometimes not always:
    SELECT G_EX ( ex_id
    ,ex_con
    ,ex_l
    ,ex_t )
    BULK INTO v_data_record
    FROM TABLE (v_table)
    WHERE ex_id = p_key;
    where p_key - is a number type
    and v_data_record is a G_EX object type.
I was wondering if anyone else encountered a similar problem, and knows what we may have done wrong. Since we dont understand why this piece of code is throwing this ora-00902 errors occasionally not always.
Also, if we restart the database up once this errors occurs it appears to stop throwing this ora_00902 error for a lenght of time. Then it comes up with the ora-00902 error again (why?)
    thanks

  • Dense Restructure 1070020 Out of disk space. Can't create new data file

During a Dense Restructure we receive: Error(1070020) Out of disk space. Cannot create a new [Data] file.
    Essbase 6.5.3 32-bit
    Windows 2003 32bit w/16GB RAM
Database is on E: drive with 660GB space total, database is ~220GB.
    All cubes are unlimited
Tried restoring from backup same problem.
Over years and years the database is never recalculated, never exported and imported, never verified. Only new data loaded and dense restructured.
Towards the end of a dense restructure (about 89 pan files through about 101 2GB pag files), getting an error: Error(1070020) Out of disk space. Cannot create a new [Data] file.
There are still several hundred GB of free space available, and we can write to this free space outside of the essbase application within windows.
The server's file system is consistent, defragmented, and can prove use of additional space. Hard drive controller and system does not report any "hardware issues".

I am not seeing why this would be failing.

    HI,
the problem is delimited data defaults to char(255)..... Very helpful I know.....
what you need to two is tell sqlldr hat the data is longer than this.
so change notes to notes char(4000) in you control file and it should work.
    cheers,
    harry

If you don't specify a data type for a data field in the SQL Loader control file, SQL Loader assumes the data type is CHAR(255). If you have data that is larger than that, then you can't rely on the default. Try changing the control file to

  • Exported data files change clarification

We are migrating a client from Oracle CRM On Demand to another CRM product. A couple of months ago we performed a full export and mapped all the needed fields from the current Oracle system to the new CRM system. This morning I went in and performed another full export to start the process of the actual migration process based on all the mappings we had performed previously. This time there were quite a few new data files that were exported and I believe this may be due to the "Release 21" that was just implemented. It appears initially that these new files are duplicate records that are associated to the main record. That is now there is an "Account Opportunity" data file where before it didn't exist. I looked online but cannot find any specifics on this. Can someone please let me know if this is the case or is there a document online somewhere that has this information? Thanks in advance for the help.

    Hi Dave,
I've got this working on the copy of the rulebase I had, it's because your entity / relationship public names don't match the .xds file, possibly as a result of the upgrade. I've sent you an email about this.

  • Searching binary data file

Hi I have a data file which acts as a database. I need to search this file for records. I am trying to implement this in the most efficient way I have the following extremes
1)To search using RandomAccessFile each record directly from the file
2)Load the entire file into memory. By encapsulating each record in a lava object.
1st option would save me a lot of memory but time consuming . The second option would consume a lot of memory and might be unsuitable for a large amount of records.
I have chosen a middle path but I am not sure if it will work properly.
My current proposal is to use a scaled down Object to represent a record
Integer values which are mostly 8 bit and 16 bit value will be stored an a array of integers where the necessary values are stored and extracted using bitwise operations.
My problem is characters I was thinking of storing the hash code of the Strings but the search protocol requires that you should be able to search even if a part of the String is given.
Regarding this problem I looked up the java 1.5 API doc for String.hashCode. Where I determined the hash code of a substring is smaller than of the main String. My question is? Is it possible to use this as a search condition to initially eliminate certain records and then read the character sequence from the file to confirm my match.
I hope you can understand what I have typed above and any help would be appreciated.

Why not turn this thing into a database and actually use database drivers to query it, and let the database worry about those kinds of things rather than basically reinvent them yourself?

  • Space allocation on 11g R2 on multiple data files in one tablespace

    hello
if the following is explained in Oracle 11g R2 documentation please send a pointer. I cant find it myself right now.
my question is about space allocation (during inserts and during table data load) in one table space containing multiple data files.
suppose i have Oracle 11g R2 database and I am using OMF and Oracle ASM on Oracle Linux 64-bit.
I have one ASM disk group called ASMDATA with 50 ASM disks in it.
I have one tablespace called APPL_DATA with 50 data files on it, each file = 20 GB (equal size), to contain one 1 TB table calll MY_FACT_TABLE.
During Import Data Pump or during application doing SQL Inserts how will Oracle allocate space for the table?
Will it fill up one data file completely and then start allocating from second file and so on, sequentially moving from file to file?
And when all files are full, which file will it try to autoextend (if they all allow autoextend) ?
Or will Oracle use some sort of proportional fill like MS SQL Server does i.e. allocate one extent from data file 1, next extent from data file 2,.... and then wrap around again? In other words it will keep all files equally allocated as much as possible so at any point in time they will have approximately the same amount of data in them (assuming same initial size ?
    Or some other way?
    thanks.

On 10.2.0.4, regular data files, autoallocate, 8K blocks, I've noticed some unexpected things. I have an old, probably obsolete habit of making my datafiles 2G fixed, except for the last, which I make 200M autoextend max 2G. So what I see happening in normal operations is, the other files fill up in a round-robin fashion, then the last file starts to grow. So it is obvious to me at that time to extend the file to 2G, make it noautoexented, and add another file. My schemata tend to be in the 50G range, with 1 or 2 thousand tables. When I impdp, I notice it sorts them by size, importing the largest first. I never paid too much attention to the smaller tables, since LMT algorithms seem good enough to simply not worry about it.
I just looked (with dbconsole tablespace map) at a much smaller schema I imported not long ago, where the biggest table was 20M in 36 extents, second was 8M in 23 extents, and so on, total around 200M. I had made 2 data files, the first 2G and the second 200M autoextend. Looking at the impdp log, I see it isn't real strong about sorting by size, especially under 5M. So where did the 20M table it imported first end up? At the end of the auotextend file, with lots of free space below a few tables there. The 2G file seems to have a couple thousand blocks used, then 8K blocks free, 5K blocks used, 56K blocks free, 19K blocks used, 148K free (with a few tables scattered in the middle of there), 4K blocks used, the rest free. Looking at an 8G similar schema, looks like the largest files got spread across the middle of the files, then the second largest next to it, and so forth, which is more what I expected.
I'm still not going to worry about it. Data distribution within the tables is something that might be important, where blocks on the disk are, not so much. I think that's why the docs are kind of ambiguous about the algorithm, it can change, and isn't all that important, unless you run into bugs.

  • Require help to solve Connection timed out error while reload initial data

    Dear Developers,
I have installed SAP NetWeaver and SAP ME SDK 2.0 on my laptop and working from offshore, the SAP ME WIP and ODS database is situated at onsite. The installation is working fine, however, after developing Activity Hooks, at the step where I need to Reload Initial Data for the Site where I want the Activity to be used I get the below error message:
    500 Connection timed out
    Error: -5
    Version: 7011
    Component: ICM
    Date/Time: Wed Mar 07 12:37:38 2012
    Module: icxxthr.c
    Line: 4184
    Server: <laptop_hostname>_<SID>_00
    Error Tag: {-}
Detail: Connection to partner timed out after 600s
    © 2001-2009, SAP AG
How to find out what is causing this error? When I use the hostname of the onsite SAP ME application pointing to the same database, Reload Initial Data works fine. I need to reload initial data from laptop SAP ME application only, beacause the activity hook classes reside on my laptop, before I send the SAPME.sca files for common server build.

    Hello,
Please try to increase PROCTIMEOUT ICM parameter for the corresponding server\port. If it does not help, please, check NW default traces for ME errors and share your results with us.
    Best regards,
    Alex.
