Group of the week: BlackBerry

In 2013, BlackBerry OS fell behind Windows Phone's market share in the smartphone market, and it has been losing even more ground since then. But it hasn't flatlined – there are businesses out there that still support BlackBerries and the BlackBerry Enterprise Portfolio. For SpiceHeads at those organizations, we maintain a BlackBerry group, with resources that include how-tos and scripts. The group debuted in 2007, and it was a lot busier then. The most recent post in the group was more than a month ago. More than 12,700 SpiceHeads follow the group.Don't count the company formerly known as Research in Motion out yet. CNN reports, "Shares surged more than 40% last year as investors applauded moves made by CEO John Chen, who took over BlackBerry in late 2013." However, the stock is down more than 29% year-to-date, even though the company...

I'm not sure what iMessages would have to do with syncing a calendar. You need to find out what kind of calendar (Google, Exchange, etc) is used for setting up appointments and then determine how to sync to that calendar.

  • Tech Tip of the Week: Syncing Distribution Groups in Office 365

Having trouble getting your distribution groups to sync when migrating to Office 365?
We recently worked with a customer who had over 300 distribution groups that were not syncing to Office 365. Upon review, we noticed that the distribution groups did not have a Display Name.
Here are the steps we took in order to resolve the problem:
    1. Open ADUC “Active Directory Users and Computers “On the top menu click on view and select Advanced Features.
    2. Find the Distribution List that is not syncing to your Office 365 tenant > right click the Distribution List > select Properties > click on the attribute editor tab.
    3. There are a couple attributes that must be filled out in order  for it to Synchronize to Office 365.
    Attributes: mail,
displayName – if they do not have any data, fill it in. Once completed click ok.
    4. Open the MIISClient. This is located on your DIRSYNC Server. The default path is: “C:\Program Files\Microsoft Online Directory Sync\SYNCBUS\Synchronization Service\UIShell\miisclient.exe”
    5. Click on Metaverse Search > input the following:
    Attribute: Mail
    Operator: Contains
    Value:
    “Email Address of the DG”
    6. Once filled in click on search > double click the search results > click on the connectors tab. Note: If
you only see SourceAD Management Agent, perform the following:
    7. Click on Management Agents > Right click SourceAD > click on Run > click on Full Import Stage Only > click on ok.
    8. Right click SourceAD > click on run > click on Full Sync > click on ok.
    9. Right click TargetWebService > click on Run > click on Full Confirming Import Stage > click on ok.
    10. Right click TargetWebService > click on Run > click on Full Confirming Sync > click on ok.
    11. Right click TargetWebService > click on Run > click on Export > click on ok.

  • How would I count items in DataSet2 and have them grouped by the column that is tied to DataSet1?

    Greetings!
First, thank you for looking at my question. I am trying to count the number of items that = "True" in DataSet2 and display them in the "Week" column in a table who is pointed to DataSet1.
I have a simple table that is set up something like this:
    CDC Week |
    [Week Number] from DataSet1
    | Total
    Count of Some Item |
    [CountSomeField] from DataSet1
    | [ Total of Row]
    Count of Another Item |
    [CountOfTrueItems] from DataSet2
    | [Total of Row]
    With the expected results:
    CDC Week |
    25
    | 26 |
    27 |
    (n/a)
    Count of Some Item |
    10 |
    20 |
    30 |
(Expected 60 but not working yet)
    Count of Another Item |
    5 |
    10 |
    15 |
(Expected 30 but not working yet)
    Instead I get:
    CDC Week |
    25 |
    26 |
    27 |
    (n/a)
    Count of Some Item |
    10 |
    20 |
    30 |
    (Not working yet)
    Count of Another Item |
    30 |
    30 |
    30 |
    (Not working yet)
DataSet1 has a few columns including a "Week" column. DataSet2 has two columns, "WEEK" and "POS".
I need to count items when POS = "TRUE" in DataSet2 and group them on the "Week" column.
    My current expression is =SUM(IIF(Fields!Pos_.Value = "True", 1, 0), "DataSet2")
And while this returns a value, it does not count (or sum) by each week. I am missing something...
    Thank you for any assistance!
p.s. Sorry My html skills are not shining with the table formatting :(

    Hi,

  • Weekdays option in alarm does not correspond to first day of the week option in calendar

I am based in Oman where the week is Saturday to Thursday and Friday is weekly off instead of Sunday. Inspite of changing first day of the week to saturday in calendar option and choosing weekdays option in Alarm, it rings on Fridays and does not ring on Sundays. Its very upsetting. Can anyone suggest a solution for this?? Thanks in advance.

i just did this on my Blackberry curve 8330 to make sure my answer was correct, and what i was able to do was.
Go to your calender, select the first day you would like it to start i i will start monday for example, Recurrence set to weekly. when selecting weekly another option will appear below it ( S M T W T F S ) highlight and select a letter that marks the day  Saturday , Monday , Tuesday Ect.  and the letting will become BOLD meaning it is selected. Thus giving you the option to select any , and as many days per week you wish, and have the recurrence as often as you want

  • How to display the week of the year in a report

    Hi,
I am doing a report, that needs to break down the information, according to month and then week.
The week of the year isn't stored anywhere in the database, so i guess it would have to be calculated.
How would i go about doing this in report?

hi, yes thats what i mean.
So if i run my report for 01-feb-2008 to 30-march-2008
it needs to group the data according to weeks.
    eg. week5 (data)
    week6 (data)
    etc....
    i got this code: select to_char(sysdate, 'IW') from dual;
will it allow me to do this?

  • How to determine the week for credit management?

Is there a transaction that will show the week for which credit is determined. For example, when running RVKRED88, it shows the week the order is processed under.

    Hi Rocha,
In Credit management S066 and S067 information structures play a vital role in updating the credit values of a customer. This works in tandem with the update group present in the OVA8 settings in case of automatic credit check.
When an order is created S066 information structure and OEIKW field is updated which increases open order value. when order is delivered S067 information structure and OLIKW field is updated which increases open delivery value and decreses S066-OEIKW
When delivery is billed S067-OFAKW value (Open billing)gets increased and S067-OLIKW gets decreased.
Updation is through the information structures S066 and S067.
In the transaction code OMO1 select the information structure and double click it. You will be faced with parameters pop-up.
In this pop-up you have radio buttons day ,week  and Month. _Based on the value you choose here you will get day or week or month for the Period split: info structure field present just besides horizon field of dynamic credit check in OVA8 Screen_If you choose week it will be till the end of the week and if you choose Month it will be end of the month. it is how system considers.
For example if we have created an order today i.e. 19/08/2011 and the Period split: info structure in the OVA8 has 1month.
System evaluates dynamic credit check as today's date + one month =19/09/2011which is =30th september,2011.
So while evaluating credit for the order, system will consider all the open orders whose  delivery date is on or before 30th september + open deliveries + open bills + A/C receivables.

  • Specific days of the week for a promotion

    Hello,
I would like to customize a campaign that runs just some days of the week. For example: Mondays and Wednesdays only. How can this kind of promotion be customized in CRM? How can those special days be specified?
    Regards,
    Efrain

    Here is an alternative:
I'm assuming you run this campaign for a given target group (which I call Input TG) in a periodic fashion.
1/ Create a job to refresh your input TG as required (for exmaple every Tuesday and Friday). Rick click on your target group in Segment Builder to set up this job as periodic.
2/ Create another job (small ABAP code) to empty your input TG every time you have run the campaign (like on Wednesday and Sat)
3/ Set your recurring job in Campaign Automation to run every day
    That could work for you.
    Cheers

  • Two or more productid will be accquired by same customerid, by same shipvia, on the same day of the week of shipped date. i want the simple query for this.

    consider this situation,
Two or more productid will be accquired by same customerid, by same shipvia, on the same  day of the week of shipped date. i want the simple query for this.
    my tables are  from northwind:
[orders] = OrderID, CustomerID, EmployeeID, OrderDate, RequiredDate, ShippedDate, ShipVia, Freight, ShipName, ShipAddress, ShipCity, ShipRegion, ShipPostalCode, ShipCountry.
[orders details] = OrderID, ProductID, UnitPrice, Quantity, Discount.
i tried some but it is not exact, it gives wrong result.
    select pd.CustomerID,pd.ProductID, pd.no_of_time_purchased, sd.ShipVia, sd.same_ship_count, shipped_day from
    select ProductID,o.CustomerID,COUNT(productid) as no_of_time_purchased
from orders o join [Order Details] od on o.OrderID=od.OrderID group by ProductID,o.CustomerID
    having count(od.ProductID) >1) pd
    join
    (select OrderID,customerid, shipvia, count(shipvia)as same_ship_count, DATENAME(DW,ShippedDate)as shipped_day from orders
group by customerid, ShipVia, ShippedDate having COUNT(ShipVia) > 1 ) sd
    on sd.CustomerID=pd.CustomerID

    Hi,
I think I have a solution that will at least give you a clue how to go about it. I have simplified the tables you mentioned and created them as temporary tables on my side, with some fake data to test with. I have incldued the generation of these temporary
    tables for your review.
In my example I have included:
    1. A customer which has purchased the same product on the same day, using the same ship 3 times,
    2. Another example the same as the first but the third purchase was on a different day
    3. Another example the same as the first but the third purchase was a different product
    4. Another example the same as the first but the third purchase was using a different "ShipVia".
You should be able to see that by grouping on all of the columns that you wich to return, you should not need to perform any subselects.
Please let me know if I have missed any requirements.
    Hope this helps:
    CREATE TABLE #ORDERS
     OrderID INT,
     CustomerID INT,
     OrderDate DATETIME,
     ShipVia VARCHAR(5)

  • Group data by week of data filter in ssrs

    Hii all
I am creating matrix report  where report has date parameters like @From_Date and @To_Date
and more, i want to provide a filter like selection : where user will select Weekly, Mothly or Daily
I would do it with grouping based expreession on primary group of report ,
when user select daily , i just group on my date field when user select yearly i have  puted a expression to format a date to year but i dont know how to do it for weeks
    well i want like Week1 , Week2 , week3 and Week 4 or (Week 5 if) week wise data
    Help would be appreciated !
    Dilip Patil..

    Hi Dilip Patil,
According to your description, you want to group the data based on the parameter selection. Right?
In this scenario, it seems you only have a date column. We can use datepart() function to get the Year, Month, Week, Day from the date column. Then use the Switch() function in Group Expression to have the records group on the parameter selection. Please refer
    to the Group Expression below:
    =Switch(Parameter!param="day",DatePart(DateInterval.Day,Fields!DateCol.Value),
    Parameter!param="week",DatePart(DateInterval.WeekOfYear,Fields!DateCol.Value),
    Parameter!param="month",DatePart(DateInterval.Month,Fields!DateCol.Value),
    Parameter!param="year",DatePart(DateInterval.Year,Fields!DateCol.Value))
If you have any question, please feel free to ask.
    Best Regards,
    Simon Hou

  • Trying to break out by week instead of dates with in the week

<p>I have issues that are catagorized by severity.  What i need to do is this.  I need to understand the mean time between issues.  My formula for that works perfect for doing that.  It&#39;s grouped by create date of weekly.  the group name in this case is the group 2 level.</p><p>If  GroupName ({SPRT_Issue.Internal_Severity}) > ""<br />Then<br />ToText<br />(<br />(<br />Maximum ({SPRT_Issue.Create_Date}, {SPRT_Issue.Internal_Severity})<br />- <br />Minimum ({SPRT_Issue.Create_Date}, {SPRT_Issue.Internal_Severity})<br />)<br />*24<br />/Count ({SPRT_Issue.Create_Date}, {SPRT_Issue.Internal_Severity})<br />)<br />Else<br />"N/A"</p><p>&#160;</p><p>I really need to do is instead of saying give me the first "create date of the issue" (meaning if the first issue occurs on thrusday of that week then start the clock)  I really need it to say for the whole week period, no matter when the first issue actually happens, give me the mean time between issue.  It&#39;s slight distinction between mean time between actiual issues and mean time between issue in a given block of time - in this case weekly.</p><p>I tried putting in "weekly" on the date field but either I&#39;m missing a paren somewhere or it gives me error about needing to be a number and so on.  I know it&#39;s something simple but I just can&#39;t see it right now. </p><p>thanks</p><p>&#160;</p><p>&#160;</p>

Okay - let's see if I can frame this correcty. My report - simulated view
    (group - Issue.Create_Date     < - grouped as weekly)
    1/1/2006
    1/7/2206
Issue.Issue_Severity  Issue.Create_Date    Mean time (calculated field).
Right now that's the simplest form of the report. In my calculation the max/min of Issue.Create_Date with in the "week" does not start until the first issue hits which may be 12 hours in on Sunday of that week or it may be 3Pm on Tuesday so I end up with only mean time between issue once the issue start flowing in. I'd like to know, accross the whole 7X24 - 168hours - what is the mean time between issues broken out by severity. You can refer to the calculation I have listed above. i just can't seem to figur out that weekly block verses the start-stop first to last issue. It's kind of like know the mean time within a static defined block of time verses a dynamic time range.
Thanks - I know this is goofy but it is what it is.

  • About OUTZL LLW - Last wagetype of the week.

    Hi All,
I am using this function OUTZL LLW in a Payroll PCR to check for the last wagetype of the week.
In my requirement the week is defined as Sat- Fri but according to this function it takes the week as Mon to Sunday.
I had faced a similar issue in OUTZL NWKy, but there we can define the week by giving the required value of y in the check.
So is there any way to define the week for this function? I am really stuck at my logic because of this.

Yeah I tried changing the return value of LDAYW under my country grouping i.e. 99 to "5" but still in OUTZL LWW for payroll it takes defaults weeks. I also tried the same function in Time payroll, here it took the week as defined by my Work schedule i.e. Sat-Fri.

  • I would like display the week is the last week of month (week of year)

    Tom,
Is there a way by using SQL Plus to get a date range that would show the number of week
    as well?
    For example:
    January 2010
    S M Tu W Th F S
    1 2 Week1
    3 4 5 6 7 8 9 Week2
    10 11 12 13 14 15 16 Week3
    17 18 19 20 21 22 23 Week4
    24 25 26 27 28 29 30 Week5
    31 Week6
    February 2010
    S M Tu W Th F S
    1 2 3 4 5 6 Week6
    7 8 9 10 11 12 13 Week7
    14 15 16 17 18 19 20 Week8
    21 22 23 24 25 26 27 Week9
    28 Week10
I would like display the week as per above.
we use week starting day = Sunday
First day of each year consider as week 1.
Is there a way I can do this?
    Thanks.

There's lots of information you can get from dates, and it will also depend on your databases local settings...
Here's an example that works in my local settings for generating a calendar for a year (including week numbers):
SQL> break on month skip 1
    SQL> set linesize 200
    SQL> set pagesize 2000
    SQL> column month format a20

  • HT2513 Changing First Day of the week shown in week view in iCal

How do you change the week view of iCal from Sun to Mon. I have done it beofre ios 6. How does one do this since ios 6?
I have iCal on iMac as Monday as first day showing in week view but I also want it to show on iPad the same way.
Any information on this would be great.
