Grouping of Notifications

Hi,
I would like to know the possibility of grouping the Notifications based on Operating Units. This is client requirement and want to get the list of Notifications based on OU.
Pl help me how to resolve,
regards,
venkat

Hi,
You'd have look at each of the Workflow item types required to be grouped on a case by case basis. Notification links back to item, which corresponds to an underlying entity (e.g. PO - which is associated with an organization unit).

  • Code group in notification

    Dear all,
i m using code group in pm notifications for malfunction codes.
Is there any standard report i can get equipment malfunctions according to malfunction codes?
I have checked iw28 , but seems not working.
    Thanks

    Hi
It gives the details of the code group and code, which u give in catalog...
You need to get the text which u have written in the PM Notification...under damage and under causes...
Once u get the code group and code itself... i hope its sufficient...

  • No Group Ping Notifications

    Hello,
I have this weird problem, yesterday I created a blackberry group for me and my friends. I was the operator of the group (just for the info) when we started chatting I received notifications, my led light blinked, I heard a sound and I saw the little icon on my home screen.
Now a day later, I dont get any of these notifications anymore. I tried about everything, tried all different sound profiles (and editted them), battery pull, soft reset, new system update but nothing seems to work.
Do any of you have a clue ??
    Here is my device information.
    Thanks in advance.
    Greets,
    Sjoerd
    Device info
    Your carrier: Vodafone NL
    Model: Blackberry bold 9700

I only have the Facebook, Scoremobile and pingchat apps installed.

I had the same problem and have to turn off and back on again, then it works.

  • Planner group in notification

Hi, while creating notification with F2 notification type, system is asking to enter planner group and giving the message that planner group is mandatory and enter the value. in all screens of qm01, could not find planner group field. pls advise where this field exists in qm01 screen. thank you.

You can make this field(Planner group - VIQMEL-INGRP)  optional after that you will not get this kind of message.
SPRO --> QM --> Notification creation --> Define Screen Templates --> Field Selection: General Screens
    Hope this helps.

  • Push notifications broken on p2p group chat

When on a p2p group chat push notifications do not work, tested on ios 8/9. I have a similar cloud based group chat and notifications are working correctly. This is an urgent bug that needs to be fixed.

    Hi,
This is known and since we are working to move away from P2P group this won't be fixed. The client will wake up in regular intervalls to check for updates in P2P group chats, but that's it. Check the group chat notification settings to enable it for the chat you want.

  • Task assignment adapter - dynamic route to either group or user

I have configured an approval process in design console and I want to be able to dynamically route the approval request to either the target user manager OR a group. I have written logic/code to automatically determine what group or user to route the request to and also to set the key type to either user or group depending on my logic conditions.
This code is executed in a task assignment adapter and set the values for the key type and key depending on the logic.
i.e. the key type would be "user" and key would be the user key for the target user manager, if my logic determines it should be routed to a manager
    OR
the key type would be "group" and key would be the group key for the approval group, if my logic determines it should be routed to a group
HOWEVER MY PROBLEM is with assigning the adapter to a process task. I am thinking I would need to have two entries in the Assignment tab of the process task. The first entry has the default rule and I assigned the target type to "group" and include my adapter here.
How do I go about assigning the second entry for target type "user"? Since "Default" is the only rule option and I am not able to use it twice.
I tried to create a rule in the Rule Definition form and create a Task Assignment rule that might do something to check if a task is assigned to "user", so that I can have this as my second rule in the Assignment tab of the process task and if it is true, it would call my adapter that would return the key for the target user's manager.
I DO NOT KNOW what conditions to set in the Rule Element window for the Task Assignment rule. Can someone tell me what to do here OR provide me with a better alternative.

Thanks for all the responses. Approvals are now being routed correctly.
I have a follow-up question though........ I created a process adapter to send notifications to either the target user manager or members of the group that is the approval is routed to.
I have a notification process task as part of my approval process and in its Integration tab, I added my process adapter that sends notifications.
The code for the adapter uses the same logic I described in my original question to determine if the approval is being routed to a user of group. If it is routed to a group, the notification adapter identifies members of the group and sends email to them, this part works fine.
However the problem is when the logic determines it should be routed to the target user's manager. One of the variables of this notification process adapter is username of the target user. Using that username, my code determines who the manager, gets the manager's email address and sends the email. Problem with this is that when mapping variables for process adapters in the Integration tab, in the Map To field, it does not give you the option of mapping to Request Target User, which would have provided me with user attributes of the target user such as the user name. It provides option for the Requester, but my reality is that the Requester is not always the Target User.
Any suggestions for fixing this would be greatly appreciated.

  • OIM 11g Approval Workflow Notification questions

    Hello.
I am working with an OIM 11g approval workflow. The workflow will flow from one group to another, and if one user in each group approves it, it is approved. Because I assigned it to groups, the notifications are going to every user in each group.
Is it possible to send a notification to only a single user within a group, instead of everyone? Does auto claim do this?
Is it possible to send a different notification if the ApprovalTask is rejected versus approved?
    Thanks.

If I understand correctly, you want to send the notification only to the user who has approved the request and not to all in the group. You can do it by NOT using the notification tab in the .task but by using EmailNotificationService after the .task in BPEL. There you can read the data from payload on who approved the request and can send the notification only to that user. Same way for rejects. You can configure that.
    1. After your .task completion you can have a decision box which can check the value for 'outcome' and then direct it to appropriate path for appropriate notification.
    or
    2. Based on outcome you can set the template in a variable and then in the notificationservice use that variable.

  • Alert Subscriptions - creating subscriptions for groups of computers and alerts from monitors

I've run into something kind of odd.
We want to "tone down" some of our alerts.  Let me explain.
We monitor, roughly, 300 servers.  We created an alert subscription to notify us of alerts for the monitor "Computer Not Reachable".
We found that we often received false positives.  I made sure our check interval was 60 seconds and the heartbeat was set to 3 missed heartbeats and then set the delay to a period of time.
That worked.  However, we wanted to change the delay based on the server "group".  Example:  Production group and Test Group.  For production, delay 5 minutes, Test, delay 30 minutes.
As soon as tried to add the group criteria to the alert subscription, notifications ceased to function for those alerts.  The alerts still occurred, but the notifications were never delivered.
So, I created new subscriptions and new groups as a test.  Each time, if I included a group in the criteria, the alert notification failed.
    Example:
Condition:  Raised by any instance in a specific group.  Checked, group name:  Test
Condition:  created by specific rules or monitors.  checked, monitor:  "Computer Not Reachable"
    Subscriber:  [email protected]
Channel:  smtp channel set up to a relay
Alert Aging:  30 minutes (have set this as low as 5 minutes and send without delay).
In each case, if I remove the condition of group, the notification is sent.
    Why would this behavior occur?

Thanks Scott.  I've tried this both with the computer object and the health service watcher object.
What I'm doing is trying to create a dynamic group based on OU.  So, right now, the groups include the computer objects.  If I view group members, the group membership does populate ok with all of the machines from the targeted OU's for the dynamic
    membership.
This is an example of the dynamic membership conditions I'm trying to create:
( ( Object is Windows Server AND ( Organizational Unit Equals OU=Test,OU=Servers,DC=domain,DC=local ) OR ( Organizational Unit Equals OU=Development,OU=Servers,DC=domain,DC=local) ) AND ( Object is Health Service Watcher AND ( Display Name Greater than empty
    value ) AND True ) )
However, I'm noticing that the dynamic membership includes health service objects from all windows servers from all OU's and ignores the OU membership conditions.  But, I don't think that has anything to do with the failed notifications.
    I could be wrong.
I've also tried the following with the same problem:
( ( Object is Health Service Watcher AND ( Health Service Name Greater than empty value ) AND True ) AND ( Object is Windows Server AND ( Organizational Unit Equals OU=Test,OU=Servers,DC=domain,DC=local ) OR ( Organizational Unit Equals OU=Development,OU=Servers,DC=domain,DC=local
Both of the above groups populate both the computer and health service objects when viewing the members of the group with the problem being it adds all health server objects instead of limiting it to the OU's specified.
So, that lead me to a dynamic group membership of:
( Object is Windows Server AND ( Organizational Unit Equals OU=Test,OU=Servers,DC=domain,DC=local ) OR ( Organizational Unit Equals OU=Development,OU=Servers,DC=domain,DC=local ) )
This is what I have now (this morning) after adding the condition for the class.
So, for the alert subscription rules, I added the group and the class and the monitor name:
Condition:  Raised by any instance in a specific group.  Checked, group name:  Test
Condition: Raised by any instance of a specific class:  Health Service Watcher
Condition:  created by specific rules or monitors.  checked, monitor:  "Computer Not Reachable"
    Subscriber:  [email protected]
Channel:  smtp channel set up to a relay
Alert Aging:  30 minutes (have set this as low as 5 minutes and send without delay).
But, again if the group condition is present, the alert subscription doesn't work.
So, I suppose what I need to do is find a way to ensure I can build a group that includes health service objects from computer objects reside within specific OU's.  Perhaps I'm going about the dynamic membership conditions incorrectly?
    Thanks
    Ted

  • Hunt Groups to login

Can you create a hunt group for multiple users to login in CM5.x so as to use it like a helpdesk environment and you can track whether the user has logged in or out of the queue. Any help would be great

    Hi Satu,
Just to add a note to the great tips from Pam and James (+5 points each folks :)
Don't feel stupid my friend, there are so many acronyms in this business it will make your head spin :)
ACD = Automatic Call Distribution (calls are distributed between active/logged-in Agents)
This term relates to Call centre applications like UCCX.
    As to Hunt Group Login/Logout, sadly this feature is only available CCM 4.2 and CUCM 6.x/7.x with the Login/Logout of Hunt Groups feature (as James nicely noted). This is not available in CCM 4.1.3 or 5.x. Have a look;
    Log Out of Hunt Groups
The Log Out of Hunt Groups feature allows phone users to log their phones out from receiving calls that get routed to directory numbers that belong to line groups to which the phone lines are associated. Regardless of the phone status, the phone rings normally for incoming calls that are not calls to the line group(s) that are associated with the phone. The phone provides a visual status of the login state, so the user can determine by looking at the phone whether they are logged in to their line group(s).
The Log Out of Hunt Groups feature also comprises the following components:
The HLog softkey allows a phone user to log a phone out of all line groups to which the phone directory numbers belong. Configure the HLog softkey in the Softkey Layout Configuration window. When the user presses the HLog softkey, the phone screen displays "Logged out of Hunt Group." When the user presses the HLog softkey again to log back in and receive hunt group calls, the "Logged out of Hunt Group" notification on the phone screen clears.
The Hunt Group Logoff Notification service parameter in the Clusterwide Parameters (Device - Phone) section of the Service Parameters Configuration window for the Cisco CallManager service must be configured to enable this feature.
Hunt Group Logoff Notification Service Parameter
The Hunt Group Logoff Notification service parameter in the Clusterwide Parameters (Device - Phone) section of the Service Parameters Configuration window for the Cisco CallManager service provides the option to turn audible ring tones on or off when calls that come in to a line group arrive at the phone and the current status of the phone is logoff. The default value specifies None, which causes the phone not to ring.
The Log Out of Hunt Groups feature, which is device-based, operates differently for non-shared lines and for shared lines.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/4_2_1/ccmsys/a03rp.html#wp1091630
In the CCM 4.1.x and 5.x trains there is really not an equivilant feature. The best you can do is probably using AC Hunt :(
    Hope this helps a little!

  • Hunt Groups and Voicemail

Was not sure if this was the right group to post these questions. I believe that these will be super easy for this group, and I want to double check my thinking against you guys. So, here they are.
If we elect to use a BROADCAST type of hunt group in some of our departments (all phones in the hunt group ring simultaneously when a call is directed to the group) and then direct that call to a DEPARTMENTAL VOICE MAIL BOX in a BNA condition:
    1. Can the call ring with a unique ring that those in the hunt group can identify as different from a call that is directed specifically to their personal extension?
    2. If the call to the hunt group ends up in the departmental HUNT GROUP VOICE MAIL BOX, will all phones in the hunt group receive notification that a message exists in the GROUP voice mail box?
    3. If yes to 2 above, when any one individual in the group dials in to the group box and listens to the message, are all message waiting indicators subsequently turned off and does the person who responded to the message then become the owner of the message in his personal mail box?
Additional questions not related to hunt groups:
    4. Do internal station to station calls ring with a special tone that differentiates them from external inbound calls?

    Brian,
    1. There is not a distintive ring option in CM. You could create a 2nd line on your user's phones and add those lines to the hunt. From there the user can select a different ring for the line (this is a local phone option for ring).
    2. Setup alternate MWI on the group vmail box. Alternate I believe has a limit of 9. If you have more users than that then create a DN on each of their phones with the same # of the voicemail box. If that number is the original vmail pilot that is a CTI or other device then you wont be able to do that but you could create another DN and use a translation and the Multiple Tenant MWI option in CM service. Reply back if you need more detail.
    3. MWI is turned off. The message stays in the group mailbox, there is no forwarding unless the user manually forwards it.
    4. Not by default and I don't believe you have that option but not totally sure.
    Please rate any helpful posts
    Thanks
    Fred

  • PM Notification and Order

    Hi all,
I am new to PM and like to know:
    1. How many Orders can be generated for a single notification.
    2. how many notification can be attached to one order.
    Regards,
    Addi

    Dear
Notification is like you are giving what happened,i mean suppose you are working on some machine, suddenly it is down ,on that time you are informing to certain department to machine down and also you have facility like down reason and what causes may be, and part may be damaged or effected etc so you can generate order through notification only one possible, because you are in first step of processing
Order is nothing but according to notification you are sending to order to perticular department to this machine down and this parts may need and service is need this machine and parts may be procure for perticular technical object ,thease all functions are you do
suppose some times you are sending same department or same machine order you can send group of notification in one order in objet tab in order creation screeen
    Hope this may helps you

  • Allowing CFA for a phone in a Hunt Group

I have CCM v5.13. Several users are members of a hunt group, and claim that they used to be able to call forward their phones and not receive any calls from the Hunt Pilot. I've made some changes to the Hunt Pilot, and ever since they say when they call forward their phones, it only works for calls made directly to their DID number , and that calls from the Hunt Pilot still ring on their phones.
I've researched this, and found Bug CSCec54565, which states that Cisco recognizes the issue, but has no plans to fix it. The recommended work around is to call the DID number directly, not through the Hunt Pilot. This doesn't work for my set up because these DID numbers are customer service lines which are published to the public.
I also found, in my research, solution # K00682545, which states that this Hunt Group is Working As Designed, and suggests the same work around, which is calling the DID directly.
My concern is the changes I made in the Hunt Pilot. I'm giving my users the benefit of the doubt when they say they used to be able to call forward all calls, whether they come from the Hunt Pilot or directly. I've set up a test Hunt Pilot, using our phones here in the shop, and I could duplicate their problem.
Can anyone think of a change I could have made in the Hunt Pilot settings that would bring this result, or are these users imaging that they could ever call forward all their incoming calls while belonging to a Hunt Group? Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Hi Bethany,
CUCM Hunt Groups/Line Groups have worked this way since at least CCM 4.1(3) :) I never like to doubt users (not a great idea for job preservation) but...I don't see their claim being a valid one.
You have to keep in mind that a call that has routed via the Hunt Pilot will always ignore the CFWD Settings on Hunt Group Member phones. The normal way to control this then is via the Hunt Group Logout of member phones combined with the Hunt Pilot level forward settings.
    The following describes how the Call Forward settings on individual Hunt member phones are ignored when presented a call via the Hunt feature. Here is a clip;
    Hunting and Call Forwarding
The concept of hunting differs from that of call forwarding. Hunting allows Cisco Unified Communications Manager to extend a call to one or more lists of numbers, where each such list can specify a hunting order that is chosen from a fixed set of algorithms. When a call extends to a hunt party from these lists and the party fails to answer or is busy, hunting resumes with the next hunt party. (The next hunt party varies depending on the current hunt algorithm.) ***Hunting thus ignores the Call Forward No Answer (CFNA), Call Forward Busy (CFB), or Call Forward All (CFA) settings for the attempted party (Line Group member Phones).
    From this good doc;
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/6_0_1/ccmsys/a03rp.html#wp1078922
This is where the Hunt Group Logout comes into play. Sadly I don't think any CUCM 5.x versions support this feature, but the users can look forward to this in your next release (6.X or 7.x)
•The HLog softkey allows a phone user to log a phone out of all line groups to which the phone directory numbers belong.
•The Hunt Group Logoff Notification service parameter in the Clusterwide Parameters (Device - Phone) section of the Service Parameters Configuration window for the Cisco CallManager service must be configured to enable this feature.
The Log Out of Hunt Groups feature, which is device-based, operates differently for non-shared lines and for shared lines.
