Groups & Levels issue !!

Dear Experts/Gurus,
I have created the Groups & Levels through Revise Pay Scale Groups and Levels for both Staff & Workers separately but when i checked the details in PA30 through infotype 0008 only Staff grps & levels is displayed their but Workers grps & levels is not at all displayed even though i have created the same.
Please let me know what may be the issue.

For both groups do you have one allowance grouping or different?
assin the allowance group to your payscale sturcture(payscale type, area, group, level) in the table of V_T7INA3. Then you can get the groups the in master data 0008IT.
And also maintain he V_T510 table, maintain your wage types to your group and level.

ME21N Material group level authorization is not working in ECC 6.0

Dear Security Experts,
We have created a role Z_ME21N with one Tcode ME21N. The role has to restrict users in the material group level.
For that, we added Authorization object M_MATE_WGR.
1. When we are trying to add field values for {M_MATE_WGR, BEGRU}, generally it should show me the list possible values to be used based on the MM configuration related to Material Authorization Group. We have correctly configured the authorization groups from V_TBRG for M_MATE_WGR. But itu2019s not showing any possible values.
2. However we are able to add values manually, but I guess these are not being considered during authorization check and our restriction on Authorization group level in ME21N is not working.
Test Scenario: We have manually added values 005,007,009,010,013 (which is pointing to specific material group) to BEGRU of M_MATE_WGR. We already assigned this Authorization Object to role Z_ME21N and this role has been assigned to u2018testuseru2019, but the authorization check with the M_MATE_WGR authorization group is not happening. It allows operations on all the material groups.
Anybody came accross same scenario?
SAP Prodcut version : ECC 6.0
Database : SQL Server 2005
Support pack level : 15

Report Designer missing 'group level' area - GUI problem?

I have a few questions here that I think are related, so I'm posting in one thread.
1) As far as what I've been reading on, we can upgrade to BI 7.0 even with a front-end SapGUI 640 (patch 19). True or False?
2) One can <u>only</u> use Report Designer with SapGUI 710. True or False?
And here's a long one...
3) When you open Report Designer should we see "Group Level" on the right-hand side (if it's checked to show)? Mine (having sapgui 710 at patch 1) was showing just the ruler, but not the "Group Level" areas... is this a gui issue? What's the fix?
[my history of GUI install:
Before upgrade: Sap GUI 640 patch 8
After upgrade: Installed NW4s BEx components only
(then getting dumps in the r3 back-end) so installed SAP GUI 710 from 50083078_4 cd.
Report Designer missing the group level areas... I thought, might as well install patch 01. But that did not help.]

I had a couple issues to 710 with the report designer. i didnt had anything similar to ur issue, but all my default and specifics of format catalog were blacked out and not allowing me to change that. I downgraded to 640 and everything works fine now. (I tried installing all possible latest and greatest on the GUI but nothing worked and it costed me a whole day to acknowledge the fact)

Planning on Product group level

We want to do forecast on the product group level.We have created 5 product groups and under each product group there are about 50 materials.Now for flexible planning I have created a infostructure with characteristics Product grp/Material and plant.
Can anyone help me out how i can do the plannig on different product groups with same infostructure.

1.create a infostructrue with characteristics & key figures-MC21
2.Create a planning paramerters-MC7F
3.Create a planning type-MC8A
4.Create a product group-MC84/MM01
5.Create a Planning hirerachy-MC61
6.Create a plan using MC93
and regarding your issue you have to create a planning hierarchy .Once the planning hierarchy is done the data is avalible to create a plan

I really try to do is to show different text on page header depend on which group level is. the reason is that if there are multi pages group footer, only the first page has group name on tilte if I put group name on the footer.
I would like to put group name on page header, but have to know which group level is.

BW Report Designer - Group level changes

Dear all,
we intent to use BW Report Designer and want to insert page breaks between group level changes
so that we get one page per item of a group (as it is possible in Crystal reports).
Example:
Sales organization is listed in column 1 of our query - we need one page per item -
page 1 - Sales organization 100
page 2 - Sales organization 200
Concerning to the online documentation it should be possible, but we can't find this functionality
within the BW Report designer.
Could anybody assist us?

Group Level Data Level Security not working

I'm trying to test the data level security at the group level.
Here's what I did
1. Went to the security -> Groups -> Permissions -> Filters
2. In Name added the Fact table on which I want to filter.
3. Selected "Enable"
4. In Filter Column I added a filter on a column in the dimension. (I didn't use any session variables in the filter)
When I create an answers query with the column from the dimension (Which I used in filter) and fact from the fact table where I defined the filter, the filter is not applied..
Am I missing something in the creation of filters?

Hi,
If the user is member of both user defined and Administrator group no filter will be applied to them because Administrator group will take precedence and no filter can be applied to Administrator.Even if you ooen Administrator group, you will see that permission tab is disabled for Administrator group.

Bug in report sorting? Sort doesn't work in last group level.

Is this a known error? Is there documentation from Oracle about it?
My query is a simple select from a table. I then created three group levels. Each group contains a value for sorting (up arrow next to column). However, data is not sorted by the value in the third group.
Try:
create table test_sort (a number, b varchar2(5), c varchar2(5));
insert into test_sort (a, b, c) values (1, 'A', 'X');
insert into test_sort (a, b, c) values (1, 'B', 'Y');
insert into test_sort (a, b, c) values (1, 'B', 'Z');
insert into test_sort (a, b, c) values (1, 'A', 'Z');
insert into test_sort (a, b, c) values (2, 'A', 'Z');
insert into test_sort (a, b, c) values (2, 'A', 'Y');
insert into test_sort (a, b, c) values (2, 'A', 'X');
insert into test_sort (a, b, c) values (1, 'A', 'Y');
insert into test_sort (a, b, c) values (1, 'B', 'X');
Create a query tabular report with the wizard (select * from test_sort). Then make the groups: first a, then b, then c. Make sure that there is an arrow next to the values (sorting).
The report only displays a and b values sorted.

Restrictions
Break Order has no effect on columns that belong to the lowest group of a particular query.
Break Order only affects columns in groups that are above the lowest child group of a query.
You have to add an "ORDER BY" in the SQL query in order to sort the columns belonging to the "lowest group"

Repeating group level headings.

Using the table wizard, I have created a "group above" table with two levels like this:
Group Level 1
Group Level 2
table_element_1 table_element_2 table_element_n
On the first page, both group level 1 and group level 2 print. As I get subsequent group level 2 breaks, the report won't repeat level 1 so I only get Group level 2 in my heading. The output is coming out like this:
Group Level 1
Group Level 2
table_element_1 table_element_2 table_element_n
Group Level 2a
table_element_1 table_element_2 table_element_n
Group Level 2b
table_element_1 table_element_2 table_element_n
I always want to repeat group level 1 in my table heading. Is there a an xml or template command that I can use to say "always print" ?
I'd like to see it like this:
Group Level 1
Group Level 2
table_element_1 table_element_2 table_element_n
Group Level 1
Group Level 2a
table_element_1 table_element_2 table_element_n
Group Level 1
Group Level 2b
table_element_1 table_element_2 table_element_n

Probably you are using tables to format it as each group.
so in-order to display the group level element 1 ,
You got to display that element before the second group table .
its like
<for-each:level1>
<GRP-LEVEL1-ELEMENT>

It depends on what you mean "cost element group".
If you mean node (not leaf) in hierarchy so the answer is NO.
If cost element group is regular characteristic so the answer is YES.

Yes it is possible. In t-code-KP06 Cost Center/Activity Input planning, we can select input values in the combination of individual Cost Center-wise OR Cost Center Group-wise and individual Cost Element-wise OR Cost Element-wise. Here if you give Cost Element Group as your input value, you can plan cost for each Cost Element.

Restrict FI postings from FB60 at vendor account group level

Hi Experts,
We have a requirement whereby the authorization for posting from T-Code FB60 should be controlled at vendor account group level (LFA1-KTOKK).
We are also fine with restrictions at vendor master authorization group level (LFA1-BEGRU/BRGRU).
So a particular user should be able to post to a vendor in acct grp A but not acct grp B from FB60.
However, it seems that T-Code FB60 checks only objects BKPFBLA, F_BKPF_BUK, F_BKPF_GSB, F_BKPF_KOA.
Neither of the above 2 fields are available in these 4 objects.
In case you have a solution for restricting FB60 postings, please reply.

In vendor maser data you can maintain LFB1-BEGRU='vendor group', and check it in F_BKPF_BEK-BRGRU

Budgeting at company code & group level

I am working on ECC 6.0. Client requirement is to create budgeting from lowest level till company code level. After that the budgeting is also needs to be reflected at the group level as a combined for all the group companies.
Kindly let me know how can I do that in R/3 or any additional module will solve the requirment

Group level balance retrieval

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone of you had to report on balance values for the GRE_RUN and GRE_YTD dimensions. So far, the only packages that I've found take a parameter for the assignment_action_id, which doesn't make sense to me given that the dimensions I'm looking for don't take into account any particular assignment.
I've read on Metalink about the Balance Reporting Architecture, and the document for "Phase 1" mentions "Group Level Balances", but it doesn't give much detail on how to query the balance tables. Any clues on what package to use (and how to use it), or any example of a SQL statement will be truly appreciated (even more if it’s Canadian-specific)

Indeed, this is what I tried first, but did not manage to find a good example for my legislation (CA). After a second look, I found a report that uses the pay_ca_group_level_bal_pkg package, which provides better access to group level balances.
