GTX 760 No HDMI Signal to Monitor

So the other day I was playing Arma 3 and all of a sudden I noticed my frames started to drop about 4fps every 5 secs until it was 2 fps where the game then crashed and a windows message popped up saying my graphics driver crashed I then proceeded to restart my PC and it could no longer get a HDMI signal. I recently just built this last sunday. 28/12/14. Whenever I boot it up now the fans turn on including GPU ones but the motherboard shows the debug codes D6 and 92.
Specs: Motherboard: MSI Gaming 5 Z97 LG1150, CPU: i7-4790k, GPU: GTX 760 Twin Frozr 2GB VRAM, RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2x8GB) 1866MHZ, Storage: 2TB Seagate 7200RPM and a 120GB Kingston SSD- OS on this!, OS: Windows 8.1 Enterprise, Monitor: Asus NV247 PSU: Cooler Master B700 700w
Any suggestions on what to do?

Hi,
Did you try to reset CMOS? >>Clear CMOS Guide<<
Also did you have a chance to watch the temps of the GPU? There is slight possibility it was badly made or screws not properly screwed in and heatsink didn't make enough contact so GPU burnt itself.
What about different video ports?
Did you consider running the system out of the case on non conductive surface (e.g. wooden table or motherboard box) with single RAM stick?
Does your system POST and work normally if you take the GPU out?
Also try your graphics card in different computer if possible. Else speak to a friend or local IT services (or shop you got it from) and ask for testing in their system.

  • NX8600GTS T2D256EZ NO HDMI Signal Single Monitor

The above card refuses to work correctly with an LCD TV using a DVI to HDMI connector, it will not display anything using it as a single display and requires going into windows to move the display across to get it working. The adaptor, cable and TV settings are fine as they have been tested with another DVI graphics card. The card is running the latest BIOS and Drivers as installed by MSI live update.
    Am I missing something???

Both DVI ports checked still no signal, is this a symptom of a faulty card?

mac mini late 2012, OS X ver. 10.9.2, hdmi to Samsung Monitor (S22C300) no signal,
but thunderbolt to hdmi adaptor can work, any fix for hdmi issue?

It would seem that if the Samsung monitor is not waking from sleep, then Samsung has not properly implemented the Wake on Signal that the Mini is sending out. There is nothing unique that Apple would do for one manufacturer. The signal is being sent out and that is why other monitors wake. Your Samsung, and mine, which are both probably different models are not waking when requested by the Mini. The best that can be done is to set the Energy Saving System Preference to not put the monitor to sleep. Use the Screen Saver as desired.

  • HP 2711x gets no HDMI signal, always asleep

I signed up to this site because I've been having computer troubles. I use an HP 2711x monitor with an HDMI video cable attached to my computer. A while ago, I ran into a problem where, when my computer and monitor go to sleep, the computer wakes up when I move my mouse, but the monitor doesn't detect its signal. If I reset the computer with the power button, the monitor would display the startup and work fine.
Last weekend, I ran into the problem again as usual, but this time, the monitor never wakes up. If I restart the monitor, it displays that it is receiving no signal from DVI, VGA, or HDMI. No matter how many times I turn the computer off and back on, the monitor doesn't react. I've tried unplugging/replugging the video cable and the power cord on both ends of each. I've tried powering down everything and letting it sit. I can't seem to get this monitor to display anything besides "Monitor Going to Sleep."
My first question is, is this a problem with my monitor or my computer's video card? Second, what can I do to fix it? I can't think of anything I did that may have triggered this problem. I can't disable sleeping, obviously, because I can't access my computer. It sounds like the computer itself is running fine, it's the fact that my monitor is not displaying anything that's the problem.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Try a monitor reset.  Unplug the monitor from the PC and the electrical source.  Now hold down the power button for 60 seconds. Now plug everything back in and give it a go.
Try the monitor and cable on another PC to make sure that those components are good.
The receiving no video signal generally means that the monitor has scanned the video input ports and found no video signal present.
Only feed the monitor with one video cable until the issue is solved.
If the monitor and cable check out good on another PC then the issue is in your PC.
If the issue is in your PC then you might need a new video card, video card driver update or a PC bios update.  There may be other causes but I have listed those that appear to be the most frequent causes of no video signal.

  • MSI Nvidia GTX 760 OC Edition broken

Hi guys, back in December I bought an MSI Nvidia GTX 760 OC Edition and it has worked flawlessly until a few days ago. The first sign of trouble (a few days ago) was that the computer was restarting and when it returned to desktop there was a messaged that read "nVidia display drivers have stopped working and have been recovered". Sometimes it would happen without restarting the computer which would result in the screen going blank for a second and then coming back on with the aforementioned message.
To resolve this I used the "Driver Sweeper" program to completely remove the drivers for the card and reinstall them, but the problem persisted. I did this several times with the latest driver and the older driver and the last time I did it when I was booting into windows the screen got covered with graphical artifacts in pink and yellow colours and would not even display the mouse cursor. So I switched to the integrated graphics (thank goodness my motherboard has onboard graphics or I would be screwed) and since then the system would not recognise the graphics card, even in the BIOS. This means that I cannot install drivers for the card because the Nvidia installer will not install drivers if it does not detect a graphics card present.
Now when I put the graphics card in the fan runs at max even if I unplug the PCI-e power connectors from it, yet the system refuses to recognise the card at all.
So here's a summary of what I have done:
    cleaned drivers out completely
Reinstalled latest and older version of driver
    Checked Bios
    Reseated GPU
Tried the card in another PCI-e slot
Started the computer with the HDMI cable plugged into the graphics card, resulting in no monitor output
Attempted to install drivers from the DVD, same problem as with the drivers downloaded from the Nvidia website
Here are my system specs, everything is under a year old:
    MSi Z87-G55 mobo
    intel Core i5 4670k
    Corsair Vengeance 8GB Ram (2x4)
XFX 650 watt core pro Bronze edition PSU
So yeah, pretty high spec and all new. I don't have another computer to try the GPU in, but with the driver related shenanigans it is fair to suspect that the GPU is at fault. I have removed the card and everything is running fine without it.
MSi don't offer any helpful information about their RMA procedure so it would appear my only hope is the person I bought it from. Although I will try to harass MSi about it to see if I can get it RMA'ed via them.

Right, as an update I was issued a replacement by MSI and it arrived today The broken card arrived to them on Wednesday and they dispatched a replacement that same day and it arrived today (Monday). So that is less than five days from the broken card arriving to them to the replacement arriving at my door, very impressed. So if anyone in the UK has a faulty MSi product that needs replacing I can vouch for their RMA service, it is first class In my experience at least, I can say that MSi are one of the good guys and will definitely be a manufacturer to consider when shopping for new hardware.

LoL...... I've not used any DVI cables for almost 2 years.
The last card I used was MSI R7770-2PMD1GD5/OC & no problem. Waiting for MSI Nvidia card with 2x mDP or DP ports.
Why must I use back DVI cables?
    http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/3dvision-surround/system-requirements
DVI + DVI + (HDMI or mDP)
The DVI connector is always the primary output, so it's a good idea to start with it.
On the other hand, a GTX 760 is not powerful enough for triple monitors.
If you're a gamer, you'll face a terrible perfomances drop in most of the recent games.
For triple monitors (3D Surround), Nvidia recommends a GTX 780 or 2 x GTX 770 in SLI.

  • Use of HDMI (HDCP enabled) Monitor with MacBook

    Hi
I’ve been searching the discussion boards to try and answer this but as I haven’t been able to get a definitive answer I will post my own thread (with apologies if I’ve missed a previous response that covers this)…
I am about to purchase one of the new HP w2408h monitors which has VGA and HDMI (with HDCP) inputs:
    http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/uk/en/ho/WF05a/20491-314293-314303-314303-314303- 80644319.html
My concern is that the HDCP will cause an issue when using this with my Macbook. The posts I’ve read so far talk about issues with TVs rather than monitors – does this make a difference?
I would expect to be able to utilise the full 1920 x 1200 resolution, will this be possible?
My plan is to use a DVI to HDMI cable via a mini DVI to DVI adaptor if this will do the job (as a fallback I could use VGA connections, but would much prefer to use the digital signal).
    Thanks in anticipation.

OK, so I bit the bullet and ordered the monitor (HP had assured me it would work OK).
Most importantly it does work, exactly as I wanted it to (MacBook recognised it immediately).
In summary, the MacBook is connected via a DVI adaptor to a DVI to HDMI cable. I'm then passing the cable through a passive HDMI switching box (also connected to a PC) which is connected (via HDMI to HDMI) to the monitor.
I'm using the MacBook in Extended Desktop mode with the external monitor running in its native 1920 by 1200 resolution - it looks great.
I am able to flick between the MacBook and a PC using the switching box. When in PC display mode, the MacBook reverts to single screen mode.
I am not using any HDCP encoding (as far as I know).
Hope this info is of use.

  • Z97M GAMING no hdmi signal with DVI converter

My monitor has VGA/DVI only (Samsung SyncMaster 213T), I have a HDMI to DVI converter in the DVI port, this works with the HDMI out from my laptop.
Am putting together a Z97M/4790K rig. I get no signal at the monitor from the Z97M's HDMI out, if I connect it to a TV I do get a signal.
Am using the same (short) HDMI cable and adaptor with both the laptop and the new Z79M, used the same cable to connect the Z79M to the TV.
So the cable and converter are good (they work with the laptop) and the Z79M HDMI port and cable are good with the TV.
Anyone have any idea why the Z97M HDMI output wont display on my monitor? (Any bios settings to make the HDMI signal more compatable?)

Yes, to be clear, there is no GPU. When I say the Z97M's HDMI out I mean the output from the Z97M motherboard. I have tried it with a second screen, the TV (it worked).
Logically one of two things must be happening... either the Z97M's HDMI signal isn't making it through the DVI/HDMI adaptor (when the laptop's signal is), or the monitor cannot process the Z97M's HDMI signal (when it can process the laptop's).
HDMI and DVI signals are the same, so the adaptor is just a plug converter ('square plug in round hole') and unlikely to be the issue, especially as it works with the laptop.
But both the monitor and laptop (which work together with HDMI and the DVI converter) are >5 years old. The Z97M is very new and could be it's HDMI output just isn't compatable in some way with the (relatively) old monitor.
Hence am wondering (for example) if there are any Z97M bios settings which might make it talk nicely to the old monitor.
Be interested to hear if anyone has had issues (or even success!) using the HDMI out with DVI monitors, especially old Samsung SyncMasters ?

    What is your power supply?

Use the attached vbios for GOP support.
Decompress the provided .rar archive with Winrar: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Then flash the included file with Nvflash for dos: http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/nvflash_download.html
To do so rename the included file to .rom and create a dos bootstick (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=165175.0)
Put nvflash and the vbios file on it and boot from the stick. Then type nvflash -4 -5 -6 gop.rom (if renamed vbios that way) and hit enter. Confirm the questions and let the tool flash.

  • GTX 760 Crash's

When running games or in browser I randomly get a black screen followed by the application crashing.
    The message reads:
"Dispay driver NVIDIA Windows Kernal mode driver, Version 347.09 stopped responding and has successfully recovered"
It seems this is a widespread issue and there are literally hundreds of so called fixes on various forums.
I have tried amost everything; disabled my integrated graphics, changed the Nvidia nvlddmkm.sys file, downgraded my nvidia driver, chosen not to install the 3D nvidia and PhysX drivers.... the list goes on.

It's an issue that can have various different reasons so you can't compare with crashes on other machines. Remove current nvidia and amd vga drivers in safemode using >>Driver Fusion<<. After reboot install latest official Nvidia driver: http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/80913
Tried that and about 50 other methods to try and fix the issue. I also did some troubleshooting and narrowed the issue to the GPU.
I took out the GTX 760 and inserted my GT 220 using the same VGA cable and VGA to DVI adapter. I then downloaded the driver version for the GT 220 (An older Nvidia driver already tested by me on the GTX 760). The games ran without any issue albeit on low settings at 720p. I then took out the GT 220 and inserted the GTX 760. I kept the same driver that had been installed and tried the games at the same settings, the crash's began again.
I have applied for an RMA with scan.co.uk (the retailer) so I hope to get a replacement or my money back in which case im moving over to AMD for sure!
    Thanks for your help.
