Guardar imagen 12 bits en formato tiff

Hola,

  • Is possible to Convert a 1 bit B&W Tiff image to a 16 Bit Greyscale Tiff image?

    Hi there,
I am trying to convert a 1 bit Black & White Tiff image to a 16 Bit Greyscale Tiff image, Anyone out there know if it is possible and how it may be done? We are using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Cheers, Chris

Almost any graphic editor can do it, but it doesn't make a sense. The picture information remain the same - 1 bit. It has nothing to do with Acrobat.

I have an 8-bit, palette color tiff file that I am trying to convert to PDF with Adobe Acrobat.  However, when I convert the file the palette color pages come out entirely black.  The tiff file looks just fine in Microsoft Office Document Imaging.  Does Acrobat support the conversion of palette color tiffs or am I doing something wrong in either Acrobat or in creating the original tiff file?

  • Photoshop CS3 vs CS2 32 bit floating point tiff loading

    Hi,
The application I'm developing exports 3 channel 32 bit floating point tiff's.
The exported files could have been loaded into PS CS2, but PS CS3 can't load them anymore, all I get is a message box with this message:
"Could not complete your request because of a problem parsing the TIFF file."
I've uploaded the file here, so you guys can have a look at: www.thepixelmachine.com/dispmap.tiff

Where should I've posted this thread instead? I suppose people here write plugins by programming them (right?), so they suppose to be programmers, not regular PS users. I thought a programmer would be much more familiar with programming related issues, such as tiff file saving c++ routines. Correct me if I'm wrong.
The people who tested the file have Photoshop CS3 and didn't manage to open it, they even sent me screenshots with the error message box. In CS2 however, the file loads perfectly. Also, the single strip version opened just fine in CS3.
You may close this thread, the problem was solved and more than that it looks like I haven't posted it in the right forum.
    Thanks.

  • 32 bit HDR panorama .tiff editable in Camera Raw???

I recently did a photoshoot with a car. It was the first time that I planned to professionally use 32 bit HDR merging. I shot 4 exposures of the front of the car from the side, and shot another 4 at the same brackets of the back of the car while mounted on the tripod.
    Here's exactly what I'm trying to do;
Take 2 different 32 bit TIFFs
Align them to be a panorama
Export to a single, true 32 bit TIFF
Adjust & tone that 32 bit panorama TIFF in Camera Raw
I've worked with panoramas plenty of times, but when I take the 32 bit TIFF files into photoshop, I pass through CR without doing anything. Once the TIFFs are in PS, they are converted to an 8 bit mode automatically.
I also tried to take those 8 bit TIFFs, auto-align, switch back to 32 bit mode, and then export as a 32 bit TIFF. I then took the panorama 32 bit TIFF into Camera Raw, but obviously, the damage had already been done and it was not true 32 bit.
    Can anyone please help me?

I've done plenty of 32 bit editing. I love it!
    I'm using Adobe Photoshop CS6.
Right after I merge to HDR pro from Bridge, it is a 32 bit PSD (I pressume it is a PSD, but it does not say for sure because it hasn't been saved yet). But it is one, locked layer titled Background. It will not allow me to unlock or rename. When I use the transform tool to move the layer to the other 32 bit document containing an identically attributed layer (It is the rest of the panorama), it just shows me a black prohibition sign and doesn't let me move it.

  • PS/Camera raw (hdr pro 32 bit). Saving as Tiff, photo has errors!

While using PS/Camera raw. I am doing an HDR image. I select my three raw images and edit in  "merge to hdr pro".
I then set to 32 bit, save as tiff (ctrl+s). The files always have errors and can not be opened.
If i save in 16 bit the file works fine.
Here is what the file looks like in my folder. Look at the upper right image.
    Camera raw 7.3 with PS CS6. Windows 7 64.
    EDIT:
I found that when Camera raw is done merging the photos and places tehm into Photoshop. Even though i can not save them as a Tiff, i can open them in NIK HDR, choopse any options there, then it will save as a Tiff.

    Hi!
I have the same problem. I exported 5 photos out of Lightroom 4.3 and used "merge to hdr pro".
When I saved the 32Bit Tiff it looked the same like your example.
Have you found a solution to this problem?

  • How to Delete 32 Bit Version of CS6 (but not removing 64 bit version)?

I created a bit of a problem.  I have CS6 on a Win 7 64-bit system.  I originally installed only the 64 bit version, but then several months later I installed the 32 bit version (don't ask why).  Now the following file types are associated with teh 32 bit version:  tif, tiff, psd and cr2 (I have associated jpg with a different program, so they are not a problem).  I have tried to change the file association by (1) using Control Panel > Default Programs > Associate a file type to associate with the 64 bit version and (2) specifiying the default program from the context menu when right clicking on a file.  All to no avail, as these files remain associated with the 32 bit version of CS6.
So I decided to uninstall the 32 bit version.  But that won't work either.  As you can see from the image, below, I can uninstall the 64 bit version but not the 32 bit version, which is the exact opposite of what I want to do.
I will be happy for any suggestions, either to uninstall the 32 bit version or to get Windows to make the association between the tif, psd and cr2 files and the 64 bit version of CS6.
    Thanks for your help.
    Best regards,
    David

Because it's a text report and not a selectable list. BTW, just leave them, they only waste a small bit of disk space and don't affect performance.

  • Unable to save exported Aperture TIFFs as jegs when opened in Photoshop

I'm using the latest version of Aperture and need to do major retouching of the images I have edited using Aperture. When I "export versions" of the images, I normally choose "TIFF-50% of size" or "TIFF - fit within 1024x1024", but when I open them with Photoshop, after I worked on them I am unable to save them as a jpeg. The option just doesn't come up.
The only save options I am offered are - SAVE AS - Photoshop, Cineon, Dicom, FXG, IFF Format, Large Document Format, Photoshop PDF, Photoshop Raw, PNG, Portable Bit Map or TIFF.
Any idea why this is happening and how I can rectify? I need to use photoshop for my retouching and I don't want to have to export RAW files from Aperture, it's much simpler exporting a TIFF.

The tiff is a 16 bit file. Go to images/on the photoshop menu and convert to 8 bit. then the jpeg option will show up.
    Cheers

  • Saving a file as TIFF vs. PDF?

I am using Photoshop Elements 9. I do not want to compress a file when I save it and it seems that both files will do the job. Are there other advantages/disadvantages in using one format or the other?
    Thanks.
    Richard

    Hi Richard
Tiff will give the biggest and widest tonal range for editing, making it the preferred format of Macintosh owners. Adobe probably acquired the rights from
Aldus to further the digital negative (DNG) format.
When it comes to 16 bit processing the tiff is second only to raw and essential for pixel editing. The only downside is the huge tiff file sizes, although storage is now cheap.

  • Save 16 bit array as image

    Hello,
I am a new labview user. I am trying to save an image which is being
correctly displayed on the front panel of my program as an intensity
graph. I  am able to get a 2D array of the pixel values (using the
variant to data function, the camera I use has an Active X interface
with labview). The camera allows 16 bit or 12 bit digitization options.
I would like to save the image pizel values as a 16 bit BMP or TIFF
file. However, from what I understand, the flatten pixmap option in
labview does not support 16 bit images. How do I go about saving my
images? Any feedback would be extremely useful.
    Thanks,
    Sanhita

    Hello,
have a look at this example and tell me if it works as you expect
    hope this helps

  • Problem with 16 Bit colour in Elements 10

I use Lightroom 4.4 to adjust/convert my camera images (Canon CR2) to TIFF 16 Bit colour  files. In Elements 10 when I try to use some of the tools to adjust these 16 Bit files I get a window stating :- "Could not perform the requested action because Photoshop Elements provides only limited support for files with 16 Bit colour depth. Do you want to convert the image to 8 Bit colour depth." When I convert I can use all the tools.  This is similar to Corel P.S.P. X3 - but in Corel P.S.P. X3 when you have finished adjusting the image and just before you save it -  there is a tool that allows you to convert the image back to 16 Bit colour depth.  Question:- Is there any way you can convert files back to 16 Bit colour depth in Elements 10 before saving.

Converting back to 16 bits gives no advantage, as Barbara said. You don't bring back the information again. It has been said that if you want to apply heavy edits afterwards, starting with 16 bits should 'theoretically' yield better results... I have tried to show a difference, but I have been unable to provide conclusive practical examples, even with drastic edits.
Note that it is easy to convert an 8 bits jpeg or tiff to 16 bits in Elements via the ACR raw conversion module. Open your 8 bits file in ACR, set the  menu to 16 bits (in the middle of the bottom bar) and click 'open' to get it in the editor. From there you can edit in 16 bits and save as tiff or psd if you want.
To open a jpeg or tiff in ACR , use the menu 'open as' and select the 3rd option 'raw...'

  • Need to extract compression used in TIFF...

I would like to extract some information from a TIFF image. I would like to know the compression scheme used for each page. I don't really need to decode the TIFF image. I am specifically needing to know whether the TIFF file is using type 6 JPEG compression or type 7 JPEG-in-TIFF compression, and I need to know this information for each page (as some images seem to be "mixed").
Do I need JAI to do this? How would I do this?

Have you actually managed to use ImageIO to read any images yet? That's where you need to start. I'm not going to go over that now as it has been covered many times by many people.
Once you have an ImageReader object up and running, you'll need to know a little bit more about TIFF metadata. The tag number for the compression value is '259'. I don't know what values the compressions you're talking about will be, but you'll soon find out.
The following code should (hopefully) take the TIFF metadata out of the ImageReader and display what the image's compression is. The TIFF files I've been working with all have Group 4 Fax compression (the value this displays is just '4'), so I don't know how your results are going to look. Please let us know how you get on!
    TIFFDirectory tiffDir = TIFFDirectory.createFromMetadata(reader.getImageMetadata(image));
    TIFFField tf = tiffDir.getTIFFField(259);
    TIFFTag tag = tf.getTag();
    String compressionString = tf.getAsString(0);

  • Is Aperture 3 a 16 bit processing program

As I do some astrophotography, I am looking for an alternative to PS, which is far too expensive... Is Aperture 3 processing RAW images in
16 bits, as does PS... I understand it can open and save files in 16 bit, but is the processing donné in 16 bit...

You're referring to bit depth or instruction word length?
Aperture  3.2.2 in Lion is 64 bit program code.
As for image bit depth Aperture works on the full resolution master files when you do your adjustments so that depends on your masters if you import an 8 bit jpg that's all Aperture has to work with.
As far as exporting goes Aperture is capable of exporting 16 bit full size tiffs.

  • CS2 Tiff files crashing my word processor

I recently upgraded my Photoshop 7 to Photoshop CS2. I've been saving 1 bit line art tiff files for years with Photoshop 7 and there has never been this issue. When I save 1 bit TIF files with CS2, it crashes my word processing software. I'm saving it with all the same settings I used to save them with from v7. Is there some setting I'm missing that can fix this problem? I'm saving my files with the following settings
    1 bit 300 dpi
    LZW compression
    Pixel Order - Interleaved
    Byte - IBM PC
With the exception of the 'pixel order' setting, all the other settings are exactly the same. v7 doesn't appear to have that pixel order selection. I have tried many different combinations of these selections without success. I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction.
My word processor is Arbortext Epic Editor Version 4.1.

    Hi Chris. Thanks for responding.
I'm not with the I.T. department here at work. The reason I now have CS2 is because the version 7 disc somehow sprouted legs and walked away. (eyeroll) My computer required a reformat and because I wanted Photoshop reinstalled, the I.T. department installed a valid CS2 disc that was sitting on their shelf.
That being said, I'm certain that the bug really lies with BOTH my word processor AND Photoshop CS2. That's why I was hoping someone here might be able to come up with a reason why one version of Photoshop WILL save a file that's usable while another version won't. If the newer version is saving some extra bit of information in the TIF file, what is it and can I possibly get rid of it somehow.
Alternatively, I would need to get my hands on Version 7 somehow. I shudder to upgrade to the lastest version of Photoshop since I worry the problem will still be an issue.
Or, if anyone knows a way to get a 1 bit TIF file out of Adobe Illustrator, that would work too (but I'm quite certain that's impossible)
