GUI 7.2 - Office 2010 not distinguished

Hi,
I installed MS Office 2010 60 day trail version and updated SAP GUI to 7.2 Patch 2 (gui720_2-10007878.exe, bw350gui720_2-20006857.exe and bi720sp02p_201-20006596.exe).
When starting an ALV grid (e. g. via SE16 for a small table) and pressing Spreadsheet I'll get the pop up "Filter criteria, sorting..." as expected.
But instead of the "..Choose a processing mode : o Table - o Pivot table"
I'll get "Save XXL list object in SAP office, Name for list object:         , Title for SAPoffice:   "
When starting BEX Analyser I'll get an empty EXCEL 2010 opened. Empty means: not an empty sheet, there is no sheet at all. And no SAP toolbar.
Im running Win XP SP3, 32 bit, Office 2010 Home and business 32 bit.
Why does SAP not recognize my Office?

Execute Transacrion RS_FRONTEND_INIT.
Change following parameter value from "X" to  blank.
ANA_USE_SIDGRIDDELTA
ANA_USE_SIDGRIDMASS
ANA_USE_SIDGRIDWBUF
This will work.
Remember to install latest BI patch for gui 7.2.

  • Windows 7 Pro and Enterprise and Office 2010 Not Able to re-Activate

In September 2012, I was tasked to provide desktop support for a small <50 seat school that uses a combination of Windows 7 Enterprise and Pro as well as Office 2010 Pro Plus with Volume Licenses purchased through Dell. In May of 2013, it was discovered
that our Microsoft Volume License agreement had lapsed and at the time we could not afford to renew it. In September we purchased a 5 seat license from JourneyEd for Windows 7 Pro and Office 2010 Pro Plus. Also in July 2013, we upgraded and consolidated our
    server setup.
In November, we began to see notifications that our Microsoft products were becoming deactivated and needed to be reactivated. When we would try to reactivate, there would be an error message that said reactivating failed with no further message.
I need assistance to determine what is causing our licenses to deactivate and also how to fix this issue.
Thank you in advance for your assistance

    Hi,
For licensing related issue, you’d better contact Microsoft licensing team. In the United States and Canada, you may call the licensing team directly at 1-800-426-9400 (select option 4), Monday through Friday, 6:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. (PST) to speak directly
to a Microsoft licensing specialist. In this way, you will know the detailed information about license.
Worldwide customers can use the Guide to Worldwide Microsoft Licensing Sites

    Thank you for your understanding!

  • Office 2010 not working well with iCloud

I am using Office 2010 Home & Business on a Windows 8.1 64 bit computer, and my calendar, tasks and contact list sync with iCloud.
I am noticing lately (since installing Windows 8, perhaps), that when entering an appointment (in Calendar), it takes several seconds to "register" whereas before it was immediate.
I also find that when I switch from Calendar to Mail or Mail to Calendar (or Tasks), it also takes several seconds.
Is there a fix for this?

    Hi
It can be resulted from the permission for Office related files and folders.
Create a new standard user account to check.
    Login with your admin account.
Check permission for folders related to your Office program(Right click>Properties>Security>Set full permission to all user account)
Login with new user account and try to run Office program.

  • Export in Query ready mode - Office 2010 not working

    Hello everyone,
I am facing the following problem with Hyperion Financial Reporting:
When I display a Financial Reporting report in Workspace and click on "Export in query ready mode", a new Excel session is launched with an empty sheet and nothing else happens. Eventually Internet explorer displays a message "The application hasn't started yet. Do you want to wait?" This cycle repeats forever unless I close the small IE window that popped up.
We are using Windows 7 and Office 2010. The Smart View version is 11.1.1.3.500 (Build 008) and Workspace is version 11.1.1.3.0.956.
Would be very grateful if anyone can help me solve this issue as this function is very useful.
    Thanks,
    Martin

    Alright,
There is some development with this problem, but unfortunately another one arose.
To solve the issue I had to disable the option "Protected mode" for the Internet Zone of Internet Explorer. Although the App server is on the local intranet, to launch Excel the web page uses the protocol oraclesv:// which appears to IE as "Internet" address.
When I disabled protected mode, some of the reports started to open normally in query ready mode. Unfortunately for some other reports Excel crashes. I.e. I open the report in workspace and click "Export in Query ready mode". I see Excel open up and the cells are filled in with members, etc. but at some point Excel just crashes and restarts. This can be destructive if I am currently working in some file.
And now the interesting part: I tried to find the reason why some of the reports are ok and some crash excel. It turned out that this depends on the amount of data in the report. For smaller reports (i.e. less than 50 rows) there is no problem, but for larger reports -> excel crashes.
I hope this explanation is helpful for someone else, as it took me quite a while to find the problem.

Please suggest if anyone have idea.

There might be no way to solve the pivots compatiblity issue in old Office version. We highly recommand upgrade Office XP to Office 2007 or higher version to avoid this kind of issue.

  • Enabled Analysis Toolpak Office 2010, not showing up in ribbon, no errors

In our lab environments, we are having some trouble getting the analysis toolpak enabled and available on the data tab in the ribbon. Originally, the add-in is not checked in add-ins, so we check it and nothing appears in data tab. All of the files necessary
are sitting in the library folder. Completely uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't work either. I have all of the office tools, and add-ins set to "Run on my computer". Can someone please help?
On a side note, it also seems like my other add-ins don't work either.

    Hi
Check you select "Analysis ToolPak" and not "Analysis ToolPak VBA"
Make sure the add-in is checked and then check within the VBA to see if the add-in is indeed loaded.
    Open the VBA (alt-f11)
    Show the project explorer (ctrl-r)
    Look for funcres(FUNCRES.XLA)
If that doesn't show up, then the analysis toolpak isn't loaded.
Maybe reinstalling from the distribution disk would be order.

  • MS Powerpoint 2010 Notes Pages and Acrobat 9 Pro

Does anyone have a print solution that allows Notes pages print in Acrobat 9 Pro? Blank pages print or the notes only and not the slide will print.  We made a mistake by upgrading our whole department to MS Office 2010, not knowing that Acrobat (which is what we used to prepare our printed material) is NOT compatible with MS Office 2010.  I saw that we "have to wait for the next version of Acrobat"?  We need help!  Does anyone have a solution?

Found a solution!  Adobe support confirmed that since Office 2010 came out after Acrobat 8 or 9, it has not been tested and the PDF creator in powerpoint will not print notes pages.  We used Bullzip PDF creater (http://www.bullzip.com/products/pdf/info.php) a free download.  This is an available print option from within powerpoint afer you install the small file. This DID print the Notes pages correctly.  After its initial creation, any additional .PDF work is being down from within Acrobat 9 (headers, footer, creating a Portfolio, etc.).

  • I believe I have found an Office 2010 html interpreter bug

Take the sample html code and save it into some file, like "scratch.html"
Open the file in Internet Explorer
Open the file in Office 2010
Note that the Word version seems to interpret an additional <p> tag that doesn't exist, and it seems to be because of the span tag.
Other interpreters (IE, FireFox, and Chrome) treat the code as it is written.

    Hi,
I can confirm Word seems to add an additional <p> or <br/> tag when opening the html file. I tested in Word 2007, Word 2010 and Word 2013, the results are the same.
I also have a question, why put the <p> tag between the two <span> tags? If you put the <p> tag before the first <span> within the second <div>, I think the result will be different and this should be what you need:
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40" xmlns:o="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" xmlns:w="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:word">
    <head>

    REF/<span class="default-font-size">HHHHHHHHH</span>//
    </p>
    </div>
    </body>

HTML tags are actually quite flexible, Word may handle some tags differently than browsers like Internet Explorer. We can often resolve this kind of issue by improving our code a bit.

  • BW 3.5 / GUI 7.20 / Excel 2010 : RRMX not working properly

    Hi,
We are here working on BW 3.5 with GUI 7.20 FEP 2.
BEx 3.5 is being used on Office 2010.
When we run a workbook from SAP GUI (user menu), then Excel 2010 is opening but:
    - Thereu2019s no automatic connection to BW as it should.
    - The workbook doesn't show up.
    - We have the following message in the SAP GUI status bar: "Please install Excel as a viewer".
Same thing happens when we run RRMX alone.
Any idea on how to correct that bug would be greatly appreciated!
    Regards,
    John

    Hi,
This is an installation issue. reinstall both the Excel 2010 and SAP GUI7.20 with latest patch along with .net component also.
For an intermediate solution, just copy the file "BExAnalyzer.xla" (normally located in "C:\Program Files\SAP\Business Explorer\BI") to the path "C:\Program Files\Common Files\SAP Shared\BW".
Or  follow the steps given in the below link

  • XL report is not working on office 2010

Hi All our client is having an issue with running her xl reports
they have upgraded to SAP8.81 PL 05
" When I run it under Administrator as well as the user on the Terminal Server it opens the XLreporter, when I double-click a file as Administrator I get an error saying u201CSecurity Settings in Microsoft Excel prohibit XL reporter from running.u201D
When I double-click to open a file under the user on her computer I get the COM-Addin error. I then opened Excel and went through the process of adding the IXXLReporter.dll add-in and I am unable to add it under Faldeelau2019s Excel. Faldeela is a member of the Administrators group.
As far as running the XLReporter on her PC it does not open at allu2026.
    Its MS Office 2010 Standard 32-Bit "
    He did try the following:
In Excel 2010 , goto File, Options, Trust Center, Trust Center Settings, Protected View, Under the Data Execution Prevention option, untick the "Enable Data Execution Prevention mode".
You may try following...File->Options->Trust Center (at the left hand side column)->Trust Center settings->Macro Settings
Click on the radio button for "Enable all macros (not recommended, potentially dangerous code can run).
Also tick on the check box for "Trust access to the VBA project object model".
    Next go to
File->Options->Add-Ins (at the left hand side column), you will see "manage" at the bottom, there from the drop down select
"COM Add-ins " ->Go In Add-Ins available list, please check if XL reporter is there or not. It should be there.to run XL reporter.
If not, There is a file ComAddIn_per_User_RegKey.reg to run. You may find it under XLR folder.

    Hi,
You may need to check the detail of the file ComAddIn_per_User_RegKey.reg. Find the key tree to see it is proper or not. This key has to be included in the user registry for each new user/excel combination.

  • Excel VBA - ActiveX Control - MonthView not available under ActiveX Toolbox for Windows 8 64bit MS Office 2010

    Hello,
    I have Windows 8, 64bit and Office 2010
I am trying to get the 'datepicker' (MonthView) ActiveX control toolbox in Excel 2010 as part of a Excel UserForm I have created. I have spent all day trying to find a solution for my problem.
I opened up the 'more.. ' but the MonthView/datepicker/calendar control is not listed.
I referred to some articles and confirmed that I do indeed have the mscomct2.ocx file in the C:\Windows\syswow64 folder.
I followed the instructions as above, opening up the Administrator Command Prompt and changed the directory to C:\Windows\syswow64 and typed in RegSvr32.
I received a popup screen confirming my registration was successful
Excel was closed. So I opened Excel and checked out the ActiveX Tool box and clicked on the 'More  Controls', but there was no listing for the Microsoft MonthView control, (nor datepicker/calendar)
I then downloaded the latest Windows Common Controls 2 6.0 from the following site
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/297381
Copied the original file (2008) and saved it elsewhere on the computer for safekeeping.
    Extracted the new mscomct2.ocx.
Under the C:\Windows\syswow64 I changed the original file properties to allow me to overwrite it with the new file. This worked … old file replaced.
I then registered the new file via the Administrator Command Prompt (as above) and was notified that it was successful. I rebooted pc and went back into Excel to find the MonthView in the
ActiveX toolbox, More Controls… and it still wasn’t there …
I would be very grateful if someone could advise how I can get this control and allow me to use it.
If I have left out any information that you need to resolve this issue, please advise.
    Cheers,
    TheShyButterfly
Hope you have a terrific day, theShyButterfly

    Hi George,
Thank you for checking this out ... :)
    I am using Office 2010 64 bit ...
    I found the
mscomct2.ocx file originally within the C:\Windows\syswow64 directory (this was an original file .... which I expect was installed via Microsoft at the time of the Office installation.
As I mentioned above, I followed
the instructions (same as the ones you suggested), but still no go, even though it stated that the registration was successful ! :(
Why weren't these features included in the 64 bit ? ... yes, I read the article ... but ... so MS doesn't think that people/developers would be needing this in due course?  I installed the 64bit version because I'm running the Win8 64bit version ...and
I deal with a lot of large spreadsheets and can't afford to sleep whilst they decide to load.
If MS included all the other ActiveX controls and some obscure ones, surely some bright spark could have thought that something as useful as MonthView should be included as 'basic' necessity when dealing with forms and sheets?
Perhaps you could pass the suggestion up the line .... there are a lot of other people out there having the same problem ... I found heaps when I was looking for a solution.
Sorry, I'm not having a go at you, but just incredibly frustrated .... the amount of lost productivity directly cause by trying to find a solution that doesn't exist ... it's been at least a good solid 24 hours.
But thank you for taking the time to review my post and your suggestion. It's unfortunate that because you are part of the organisation ... you tend to cop some slack from frustrated people like myself.
In relation to the pictures/screen dumps, 2 of them made it (I can see them in my post) ... one I deliberately left out because there was nothing on there that showed anything other than the rest of the 'More Controls' - nothing to do with the MonthView.
Please feel free to escalate this to the powers that be ... and hopefully enough people will join the voice so a change can be made (I can dream ... can't I?)
I've taken a screen dump of the Forms/ActiveX toolbox.
I don't know what the next step is ... I guess you'd be able to advise.
    Cheers,
    TheShyButterfly
Hope you have a terrific day, theShyButterfly

  • Can not open Excel 2003 embedded worksheet in Office 2010

I have seen many similar issues to this but I think I have some unique factors that are making my issue a bit tougher to resolve. I have a user who has a word doc which he opens in Word 2010. This doc has several embedded excel sheets. When he tries to click
one of these embedded excel sheets to edit he gets an error:  "the program used to create this object is excel the program is not installed on your computer". It will give an option to repair which we have tried but it makes no difference.
Some things to note that I think makes this case more unique than others I have googled.
This seems to be the case only with embedded excel 2003 spreedsheets. He can open newer excel 2010 spreedsheets that more more recently added to the file.
He previously had Office 2013 which we had to uninstall, and put Office 2010 on. This was done because of a piece of software this company uses that was not compatible with office 2013. (Personally I think this may be where the problem is as there seem to
be remnants of Office 15 in the registry.)
I have tried the standard fixes of Disabling the Com add-ins, running office repair, and trying to Convert the embedded spreedsheet to an Excel Binary. The convert failed and gave me a generic error about possibly not being allowed to save to the location
or needing more memory or space but none of these are the case.
I have not yet tried to uninstall office 2010 and reinstall and I am hoping that I won't have to. This issue just seems odd to me. Other users can edit these embedded spreedsheets fine which is why I think it has something to do with the fact that he downgraded
    from 2013 to 2010.
Anyone of thoughts, ideas, suggestions? Thanks.

    Hi,
I noticed that use newer excel 2010
spreadsheets that more more recently added to the file. Did you try to embed the Excel 2010 file to Word 2010 test? If it works fine, I suppose that it was a compatibility issue.
Because Excel 2010 had change the file format with Excel 2003.
I recommend you try to install Office 2010 sp2 and compatibility pack.

    https://support.microsoft.com/kb/923505/en-us
And there is a similar issue, we also could install the hotfix to test.
