GUI Issue - new developer

Question

I am trying to run a simple java example. I am using j2se 1.4.2_03 SDK . When I run this program I expect to see a JFrame but I don't. I added println() to debug and see what it does. I never see debug message "JFrame Packed". So I assume program control hangs in Pack(). I don't know why?
I need some help. Thanks in advance.
I removed Pack() and use SetSize(). now it hangs on setVisible() call. I still don't see a window.

I am running 1.4.1_01 and have no problem realizing the JFrame. Out of curiosity, why are you using invokeLater()? Are you doing something else- perhaps displaying another component?
