GX Error (GX2GX) for bank or hello world sample applications

Hi,
I installed IAS 6.5 on Win 2000 professional. I tested my installation by accessing the fortune sample application. Yes, it works fine. However, when I deployed the Hello World or Bank sample application, I keep seeing this error:
"GX Error (GX2GX)
socket result code missing!!!".
I have ensure that both the applications were deployed correctly. The deployment tool did not report any error. I am also able to see the 2 applications from the IAS administration tool. I then went to the HTTPAPI subkey in the IAS registry and set the DebugMode to 5. I saw the following message

Any idea what is wrong??? Please help... Thank you in advance for your help.

If you're trying to run the Ant scripts, I think I know how you feel.  Here's what I do to seed new test users into a new installation:
1. Download the workflow-001-DemoCommunitySeedApp.zip File  -> Go to http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/obe/fmw/obpm/11g/r1/install/installing_obpm11g.htm#s6. ->  Click Demo Community Seed Application.
2. Unzip the zip file
Unzip the contents of the workflow-001-DemoCommunitySeedApp.zip file into a directory. (For these instructions, I will assume you unzipped it into a C:\stageFMW\democommunity directory.)
3. Deploy the Associated EAR File Deploy
Deploy the SOATestDemoApp.ear EAR file located in your C:\stageFMW\democommunity\DemoCommunitySeedApp directory to your Managed Server. This is done by:
Loggin into the WebLogic Administration Console (e.g., http://<your machine>:<your port number>/console)
In the upper left corner under Domain Structure click Deployments
Click the "Install" button
Upload the EAR file by clicking the upload your file link.
Select the SOATestDemoApp.ear file and click Next -> Next
Select Install this deployment as an application and click Next
Check the correct checkbox to deploy the application to the Admin (if there is no SOA Managed Server) or the SOA Managed Server (if it exists)  - typically this is just "soa_server1"
Once deployed, stop and restart the Admin and Managed Servers
4. Run the Servlet to Seed the Users
Run the servlet by opening your browser to: (if you have a managed server) http://<yourmachinename>:8001/integration/SOADemoCommunity/DemoCommunitySeedServlet or (if you deployed it to the admin server) http://<yourmachinename>:7001/integration/SOADemoCommunity/DemoCommunitySeedServlet
Select Seed Community and then click the Submit button.

    Afterwards, I start Adobe Drive (32bit version). The UI hangs with the message "Adobe Drive is starting. Please wait.". From task manager I can see that not just Adobe Drive was started, but also AD4ServiceManager.exe. I guess, this should not happen, because Adobe Drive should discover the one launched via Eclipse.
    So what's going wrong here? How does Adobe Drive discover the one launched via Eclipse? What could block discovery?
    Here more details in case that helps debugging the problem. MANIFEST.MF:
    Manifest-Version: 1.0
    Bundle-ManifestVersion: 2

    </component>
    Here the Eclipse run configuration settings:

    Wow, this seems to help even though it is still a bit shaky. Here the steps I have to do to get it working:
    manually launch 64bit version of AD4ServiceManager.exe with parameter -launchedbydrive
    launch Eclipse project and wait till ss shows everything as registered (much faster now)
    start 64bit version of Drive -> my adapter doesn't show up
    shutdown drive
    start 64bit version of Drive again -> my adapter now shows up and works as expected
    I find a few things confusing here:
    In Eclipse, should I configure the 32bit or 64bit version of AD4ServiceManager as plugin execution environment? Currently, I'm using the 32bit version.
    Why isn't the step of manually launching AD4ServiceManager.exe not mentioned in the getting started guide?
    I will reboot my machine to see if it is still working or just some special sun radiation making it work currently :-)

  • Getting bad host error when trying to deploy simple web sample application

    hi,
    Can someone tell me why I'm getting this error when trying to deploy the simple web application from samples
    This is what it said:
    deploy_common:
    [echo] Deploying ../assemble/war/webapps-simple.war.
    [exec] java.net.MalformedURLException: Bad host: station_1
    thanks

    Hi,
    Another update on this issue.
    To remove the error that we were getting (java.lang.LinkageError: Class javax/xml/transform/Source violates loader constraints), we tried some searching around and found out that the way to fix it is to provide correct versions of xalan.jar, xml-apis.jar and xercesImpl.jar. We downloaded the required version from the apache site and added it to our WEB-INF/lib folder in the WAR file.
    Now, we are getting this error:
    XPathFactory#newInstance() failed to create an XPathFactory for the default object model: http://java.sun.com/jaxp/xpath/dom with the XPathFactoryConfigurationException: javax.xml.xpath.XPathFactoryConfigurationException: No XPathFctory implementation found for the object model: http://java.sun.com/jaxp/xpath/dom
    What else we might be missing in our libs or do we need to check some other configurations?
    Any help on this would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Gaurav

  • Federated Search Error - Hello World Sample

    Hello,
    I am trying to setup a Federated Search using the example HelloWorldSearch.war (java version). I am relatively new to the Portal Technology, but have extensive experience in web app development.
    I am getting an error when I try to run my Federated Search. "Error - Error executing search on Test Federated Search : Federated search of federated portal object 200 could not be executed. The federated portal may be configured incorrectly." Any Ideas?
    I have created 3 Portal Objects:
    1) Remote Server - this points to my Tomcat instance - http://msc_tesposito1:8080/
    2) Search Web Service - which points to app/service. I have specified "HelloWorldSearch/services/SearchProviderSoapBinding" and linked it to my Remote Server Instance.
    3) Federated Search - linked this to my Search Web Service.
    I then took the HelloWorldSearch-Java.war file from the samples provided, renamed it to HelloWorldSearch.war and dropped it in my Tomcat webapps directory. I can hit the web service just fine by executing "http://msc_tesposito1:8080/HelloWorldSearch/services/SearchProviderSoapBinding".
    Does anyone have any ideas as to what I might be able to do to get this working?
    Tom Esposito
    Manheim, Inc.
    www.manheim.com

    It works fine on my local tomcat. All this search returns is - "Place holder" string, it's harcoded there.
    It seems you have registered exemple by manual. Try use migration tool - ...\plumtree\ptportal\5.0\bin\native\ptmigration.bat
    As soon as migration(import) is done all you need to do is change url to your actual remote server

    Thank you Martin!
    I was about ready to download Eclipse.
    I see 3 versions; With TomCat being a J2EE web server do I get 2 below?

  • How to Run a Hello World Java application on WIndows Mobile

    Hi!
    We have a sample Plug-in environment Java application downloaded from http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/library/os-ecl-ercp/index.html - IBM library.
    We have downloaded the source files org.eclipse.testworkbenchapp_1.0.0.jar and tried running the application on desktop PC, this worked fine.
    We are using Eclipse 3.2 to run this Java application on Desktop.
    Now, we are trying to run the same application on Intermec Windows Mobile 5.0 device.
    1. The device has IBM J9 ? WebSphere MicroEnvironment MIDP 2.0 for Windows Mobile2003 installed in it.
    2. On installing this on Windows Mobile, in Start ? Programs ? we find MIDlet HQ - on launching this, opens a window with Install button.
    3. On Click on Install button, another window opens which asks for URL to install.
    4. In the URL Edit box, I give file:////Org.Eclipse.testWorkbenchapp.feature_1.0.0.jar which is present in \MyDocuments\Update site folder copied from desktop workspace via Active sync ? As mentioned in the above IBM library site.
    5. I have also tried file:////MyDocuments\Updatesite\Org.Eclipse.testWorkbenchapp.feature_1.0.0.jar as input to URL.
    6. On click OK, I get an error titled AMS Error with description The application descriptor was missing the required MIDlet Name field.
    I am held up here and not able to move further.
    As mentioned in the above IBM library site I tried downloading the update site folder via Eclipse ? Software Updates ? Find and Install in Help menu.
    I selected Search for new features to install and browsed the Update site folder location present in my Eclipse workspace. This also does not work.
    Any help in this regard in greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    I would ask such questions in the J2ME forums, or even better in a websphere forum, like here:

  • Anybody can suggest quick sample 'Hello World' with ADF/JSF to deploy on WC

    We are using JDeveloper 11g, and Web Center 10.1.3.2.
    We have Oracle Portals 10.1.2.0.2
    We want to develop a portlet and deploy it to WC 10.1.3.2 to use it in Portals 10.1.2.0.2.
    Could anybody suggest any working "Hello World' sample with ADF/JSF to deploy on WC 10.1.3.2 WSRP.
    TIA

    Just to clarify. Oracle Portal 10.12.0.2 did not support WSRP based portlets (this was introduced in 10.1.4 or Portal) as such you would need to develop a JPDK based portlet in order to use it in both Portal 10.1.2.0.2 and WebCenter. If you upgrade the portal to 10.1.4 you will be able to use a WSRP 1.0 based portlet in both products (WebCenter also supports the draft WSRP2.0 extensions so make sure that you register the correct WSDL file)
    If you are trying to use JSF components within the Portlet itself you will need to use the JSF Portlet Bridge which accounts for the differences in lifecycle between JSF and WSRP.

  • Account for bank transfer has not been defined

    Hi,
    I am doing a Bank Transfer in my SDK development and I get following error:
    "Account for bank transfer has not been defined "
    I use _SYS00000000002 (Cash at Bank - Checking (HO, USA, GA )) from the US demo database for testing and it doesn't work.
    My code is below, even when this only for consuling.
    Thank you,
    Rune
    oPayments = (SAPbobsCOM.Payments)oCompany.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oIncomingPayments);
                        oPayments.CardCode = vmp_CardCode_string;
                        oPayments.DocDate = DateTime.Now;
                        oPayments.JournalRemarks = "Incoming - Payment Bank Transfer";

  • Hello World help

    I am a newbie to Flash Media Development Server 3, on Vista,
    trying to get the Hello World sample to work.
    When I follow the instructions and place the Hello World
    folder in the applications folder and try to test the movie, I get
    a "read only" error. I have used the publish settings to make sure
    the default paths are used. I read about MS file folder permissions
    using cmd prompt ATTRIB, but discovered if I place the Hello World
    folder on my desktop I don't get the "read only" error.
    I'm seeing the connect button, when I publish to html, but
    when I hit the button I just get the disconnect button, and no
    "Hello World".
    I have the .as, .fla, .swf files on my desktop Hello World
    folder, and the .asc in the applications/Hello World folder.
    Could someone give me some advice on how to get Hello World
    working?
    Thank You.

    I'm new at this myself so this may or may not help but I think you have a syntax error...
    You have:
    System.out.printIn("Hello World!");
    I think it should be:
    System.out.println("Hello World!");
    You have the letter "I" ("I"ndia) where a "l" ("l"etter) should be used in the term "println"
    Hope that does it...

    Magesh,
    As I already posted, you need a C compiler installed.buildclient
    merely invoke the system compiler.

    Three steps to solve this problem:
    1. Set the LANG environment variable: set LANG=English_United

    2. In the tuxedo directory Tuxedo\locale, make a new directory named
    English_United States.1252;
    3. Copy all files in diirectory Tuxedo\locale\C into the newdirectory.

  • Error Handling for CFQUERYPARAM

    Is there a way to display the value of cfqueryparam upon a database error?  For example:
    <cfquery name="causeError" datasource="#application.dsn#">
          select street1 from house, #table2# where house.houseid = #table2#.houseid and house.houseid = #form.houseid#
    </cfquery>
    The variable table2 is dynamically generated and let's say an error is caused table2 being an empty string or a table that doesn't exist.  So the error given is:
    [Macromedia][Oracle JDBC Driver][Oracle]ORA-00903: invalid table name
    4 : <cfquery name="causeError" datasource="#application.dsn#">
    5 : select street1 from house, #table2# where house.houseid = #table2#.houseid and house.houseid = #form.houseid#
    6 : </cfquery>
    SQL   select street1 from house, where houseid = 123;
    So I know that the user was trying to look at a house with houseid = 123.  I can then try to replicate the error using the same record in the database which can ultimately can help me diagnose the problem more quickly.
    However, if I use cfqueryparam, i.e.:
    <cfquery name="causeError" datasource="#application.dsn#">
          select street1 from house, #table2# where house.houseid = #table2#.houseid and house.houseid = <cfqueryparam value="#form.houseid#" cfsqltype="cf_sql_integer">
    </cfquery>
    I get:
    [Macromedia][Oracle JDBC Driver][Oracle]ORA-00903: invalid table name
    4 : <cfquery name="causeError" datasource="#application.dsn#">
    5 : select street1 from house, #table2# where house.houseid = #table2#.houseid and house.houseid = <cfqueryparam value="#form.houseid#" cfsqltype="cf_sql_integer">
    6 : </cfquery>
    SQL   select street1 from house, where house.houseid = .houseid and house.houseid = (param 1)
    I have no idea what the user entered.

    The cfqueryparam value is buried deep in the cfcatch structure. You may get to it, for example, by doing something like this:
    <cftry>
    <!--- Put your query here --->
    <cfcatch type="database">
        <cfdump var="#cfcatch.where#">
    </cfcatch>
    </cftry>
