Had difficulties signing into my account.  finally got to email and nothing was there.  then, suddenly, i have 27,000 emails.  and it is loading all of them.  yikes

concerned about virus, etc?  it has continued to keep spinning and the last date email that has been downloaded is february 4, 2013.  do i have a virus, etc?

However many emails are in your iCloud account is the amount of emails that will download.
Go to www.icloud.com, login, check mail and see how many there are.
You do not have a virus.

  • I just got the new itunes and I can open itunes and see my music but whenI try and go to the itunes store it just loads to a white page. I try and refresh and go to the home page and nothing happens. I can sign into my account and the tabs for the itunes

    I'm having the exact same problem.  I upgraded to the newest version of iTunes on my iMac and ever since I did the store is a blank white screen.  I can get my library content but the store is a no go.  Is there any one out there with a solution?

    That's because the Mac, OS X and the iLife apps that came preinstalled on the Mac all belong to the previous owner. The previous owner needs to call Apple care and have their Apple ID disassociated from the Mac. Then the hard drive needs to be totally erased and OS X and the iLife apps reinstalled using OS X Recovery.

    Open the Mac App Store and go to Purchases. Do you see Final Cut Pro X listed?
    If so, open a Finder window, choose Applications in the sidebar and delete Final Cut Pro X. Then, go to the Mac App Store and download Final Cut Pro X for free.
    If you don't see it in Purchases, see if it's hidden, and if so, unhide it > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4928 If it doesn't work, contact with the Mac App Store support > http://www.apple.com/support/mac/app-store/contact

  • I can't play videos on youtube when I'm signed into my account

    This problem just started today, prior to this I've had no problems with youtube. Earlier today, I tried to reload a video I had watched earlier and got the message "An error has occurred." I tried everything on youtube troubleshooting page, to no avail. I upgraded to Firefox 24. I tried using youtube in Chrome and Safari, and it worked fine.
    Then I tried signing out of my youtube account in Firefox. Videos played just fine. I signed back in, and the error was back. I tried signing into my account in Safari and Chrome (I had not been signed in whem I tested them before) and they still worked.
    So videos won't play in Firefox, but only when I'm signed into youtube, and work fine in Safari and Chrome, whether I'm signed in or not.

    To clear cache and cookies do the following:
    #Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
    #Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".

    #From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.

  • I am getting iTunes "error 5002" when trying to sign in on my computer, and cannot sign into my account on my iPod. What's wrong?

    When I try to sign in to my iTunes account on both my computer, an error pops up saying,
    "We could not complete your iTunes store request. An unknown error occured (5002)
    There was an error in the iTunes store. Please try again later."
    When I trying signing into my account on my iPod, I get a message saying,
    "Cannot connect to iTunes store"
    I have seen across the internet that this has happened while trying to purchase things, but I can not even sign in!
    I have also seen a case just like this, but many, many people were having that problem at the same time.
    It seems like right now, only I am having this issue.
    I can sign into my mother's iTunes account perfectly fine. ( I was using her account for a while, until I decided to switch to my own)
    I have had an apple ID for a while now, but never have used it for iTunes.
    I can sign into the "my apple id" website perfectly fine, just not iTunes on my iPod or computer!
    I can not even sign into the appstore! (When trying to sign into the app store, it just says an unknown error occured, it doesn't say 5002)
    What shall I do?

    Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    Select
    /var/log ▹ appstore.log
    from the hierarchical list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar. Then select the messages from the last installation or update attempt, starting from the time when you initiated it. If you're not sure when that was, click the Clear Display button in the toolbar of the Console window and then try the installation again.
    Copy the messages to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
    If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.
    When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.

  • The wrong apple ID pops up on my new iPod touch 5th gen. It is asking me to sign into an account that has my friend's email address. She has never even touched this iPod. Why is this happening?

    My son got a 5th gen iPod touch today. We have an established Apple ID from my iPhone and we are able to log into it just fine on the new iPod. After a few hours of use, the iPod started asking him to log into an Apple ID account that he doesn't recognize. It appears to be a gmail address of a friend of mine who has never used any of my Apple products. What is going on and how do I stop it? We have to keep hitting 'cancel' every time it comes up.     Sounds like apps purchased from those accounts got synced to the iPod and it is asking to log into that account to update them.
    - Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
    - To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.
    What do yo see if yo go to the Updates Section of the App Store app?

    My dad bought a new retina macbook pro over a year ago.
    The pre-installed iPhoto and iMovie applicaitons get this error when trying to download an update:
    "to update this application, sign into the account you used to purchase it"
    We are logged into the only account that he has ever had.
    He has mountain lion. 
    It's very annoying and there's no way we know of to get around it. Searching and searching online led nowhere.
    Please help!!!!!

    You cannot.
    As requested... You need to use the SAME Apple ID that Originally made the Purchase of whatever Application you are trying to Update.

    My ITunes stops working  and closes everytime I sign into my account . I am not able to download or update my Iphone or get any of my music. I have a new laptop and have authorized it . It did work at one time and had my music, now nothing appears and constantly closes my ITunes. What should I do. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it several times.

    Open up iTunes. Go to Store. Go to Account and sign in. Click on Purchase History. Find your purchase record.

    After I updated to 11.1.5 on my Mac (Running 10.9.2) every time I try to do something, be it listen to iTunes Radio, update apps, view my account in the iTunes store, download a new app, etc. I get the "Sign into iTunes Account" prompt repeatedly.  Regardless if I enter the correct password or not it will continuously pop up not allowing me to do whatever I'm trying to do.  I've tried signing out/signing back in and deauthorizing/authorizing my computer and haven't had any luck in getting any of these functions to work.

    The most common resolution for this issue would be to make sure Safari has been update.  If the issue persists, try all of the steps referencing to Mac OS X in the two articles below.

    Update iTunes and Safari to the latest version.

    Here is a KB that discusses that error:
    Article ID: KB35715 "Unable to sign into your BlackBerry ID. Confirm you are connected to the internet and try again" is displayed in BlackBerry Link when the computer has an internet connection
    I realize that contains nothing useful at the moment, but hopefully will be updated by BB when they have more information. Further, I made a guess that this KB was applicable in that it is specific to signing into your BBID via LINK rather than the device...I was not 100% positive about that from your post.
    Can you successfully sign into your BBID on the device itself?
    There also are multiple existing threads on this site that discuss that exact error...your review of those might prove useful, and a search of this site, using the error message, error code, or symptom, should reveal all applicable existing threads to you.
