Handle back button in standard tcode .

I am doing a BDC on standard tcode MEMASSPO which displays the 3rd screen directly of the tcode.
Now problem is when I press the BACK button on this screen it takes me to the previous screen of the same tcode.
My requirement is that it should take me to SAP Menu when i click the BACK button.
I am pasting the BDC code below:
START-OF-SELECTION.
  PERFORM bdc_dynpro      USING 'SAPMMSDL' '0200'.
  PERFORM bdc_field       USING 'BDC_CURSOR'
                                'MASSSCREEN-VARNAME'.
  PERFORM bdc_field       USING 'BDC_OKCODE'
                                '=TAB2'.
  PERFORM bdc_dynpro      USING 'SAPMMSDL' '0200'.
  PERFORM bdc_field       USING 'BDC_CURSOR'
                                'MASSSCREEN-VARNAME'.
  PERFORM bdc_field       USING 'BDC_OKCODE'
                                '=FIND'.
  PERFORM bdc_dynpro      USING 'SAPLSPO4' '0300'.
  PERFORM bdc_field       USING 'BDC_CURSOR'
                                'SVALD-VALUE(01)'.
  PERFORM bdc_field       USING 'BDC_OKCODE'
                                '=FURT'.
  PERFORM bdc_field       USING 'SVALD-VALUE(01)'
                                'ELIKZ'.
  PERFORM bdc_dynpro      USING 'SAPMMSDL' '0200'.
  PERFORM bdc_field       USING 'BDC_OKCODE'
                                '=NEXT'.
  PERFORM bdc_field       USING 'BDC_CURSOR'
                                'MASSFVIEW-FIELDTEXT(02)'.
  PERFORM bdc_field       USING 'MASSFVIEW-CHECKBOX(01)'
                                'X'.
  PERFORM bdc_field       USING 'MASSFVIEW-CHECKBOX(02)'
                                'X'.
  PERFORM bdc_dynpro      USING 'SAPLMSMT' '0200'.
  PERFORM bdc_field       USING 'BDC_CURSOR'
                                'NONEXT'.
  PERFORM bdc_field       USING 'BDC_OKCODE'
                                '=OK'.
  PERFORM bdc_dynpro      USING 'SAPLMASS_SEL_DIALOG' '0100'.
CALL TRANSACTION 'MEMASSPO' USING bdcdata MODE 'E'.
Please help me.......

Hi,
You can do it by appending (at the end of the BDC data) the exit actions when the screen X (the one you get after the BACK button has been pressed) is reached.
As you run the BDC with mode 'E', it will stop the BDC data when SAP sees that screen X from the BDC data is not the screen currently displayed. Then, if the user displays later the screen X, SAP continues to execute the BDC data from screen X.
This topic is shortly described here: http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ABAP/BatchInputFAQ#BatchInputFAQ-IsitpossibletosimulateANDSKIPFIRSTSCREENusingBDC%3F

  • How to handle Back button, Browser Refresh problem at server side.

    Hi Friends,
How to handle Back button, Browser Refresh problem at server side in java?.
I am able to trace that,
    request.getHeader("ACCEPT") is returning value- */*
when the browser was refreshed and returning different MIME types
for all other actions from browser.
I have doubt, will the above solution works always for all servers, browsers?.
Please also specify any solution to handle back button at server side?.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Venkat..

I'm sorry I don't think tht's the right solution for
    the above question....
We must be aware that whatever scripting methdologies
we either javascript/vbscript would executed @
client(browser) side not @ server side....
Dud If U get a good solution keep me updated.....
    THANKS & REGARDS,
    RAHULMy dear friend ...
the bad news is that u simply cant disable or add any listener to the back button of the browser.
When u hit the back button of ur browser the URL gets re-executed. So in case u have a JSP then the history.forward() is the best solution. [only if the page doesnt get expired similar to secure https sites]
Now dont say that user can have javascript disabled ...those users will have a pretty touch time browsing websites since javascripts r used extensively by almost all websites.
But in case u have an action.do or servlet call then u need to manage it using a session variable since the request will be sent to the server rather than client.
For multiple form submittion issues read the following article in javaworld...
    Client vs. server solutions
Different solutions can solve this multiple form submission situation. Some transactional sites simply warn the user to wait for a response after submitting and not to submit twice. More sophisticated solutions involve either client scripting or server programming.
In the client-only strategy, a flag is set on the first submission, and, from then on, the submit button is disabled based on this flag. While appropriate in some situations, this strategy is more or less browser dependent and not as dependable as server solutions.
For a server-based solution, the Synchronizer Token pattern (from Core J2EE Patterns) can be applied, which requires minimal contribution from the client side. The basic idea is to set a token in a session variable before returning a transactional page to the client. This page carries the token inside a hidden field. Upon submission, request processing first tests for the presence of a valid token in the request parameter by comparing it with the one registered in the session. If the token is valid, processing can continue normally, otherwise an alternate course of action is taken. After testing, the token resets to null to prevent subsequent submissions until a new token is saved in the session, which must be done at the appropriate time based on the desired application flow of control.

    Hope u got the idea.
FYI I have been using both these ideas in my credit card payment gateway project. This concept has worked really well.

  • How to handle Back button in IA06 BDC

    Hi all,
I am calling IA06 inspection screen for an task list operation using BDC from my custom program. on this screen user can change the SAP data. if I save the task list then it's working fine.
But I have one issue how to control back button, when user make any changes on this screen and click on back button because it calls all the previous screens which i skipped using BDC.
Or for this particular functionality there is any Function module same as for Characterstics as "CLFM_OBJECT_CLASSIFICATION"
    Please advice.
    Thanks,
    Sanket Sethi

    Hi all,
Please suggest if there is any function module/ API  to call Task list characteristic screen directly; same as for Task list classification screen using Function module CLAF_CLASSIFICATION_OF_OBJECTS.
    Thanks,

  • Handling Back Button UIX ADF Application

    Hi,
I have a similar situation, in which the user goes through 6 steps (UIX pages) on a registration process. If the user is in middle of the registration process and hits the back button, It shows the previous page with entered values, If he hits the submit button again, I'm getting an error "Row currency has changed". How to eliminate this error and is there a way to display a warning message and maintain the state of the application so that the user can continue with the current step of the registration process.
    Thanks a lot.

you can edit the UIModel.xml file (that corresponds to your UIX file) and in that there is an option to disable the rowCurrency change check. It is called state-token validation.

  • Issue of data getting wiped out when user clicks on back button..

    Hello Gurus,
I have a selection program which displays ALV on execution. Now I have programmed the "Back" Button of standard toolbar so that when comeone clicks on it, it should leave to selection screen.
    WHEN 'TBACK'.
          LEAVE TO TRANSACTION SY-TCODE.
But when I do that, the values entered by user during execution of selection screen wipes out and all the selection fields become empty. How can I make sure that when sure clicks on 'Back' button, the selectiuon screen is presented but with values in which user put during execution.
    Regards,
    Rajesh.

    Hi Rajesh ,
Leave to transaction sy-tcode is as as good as call transaction...so basically using this statement will start the transaction afresh..and give a new selection screen....
Better option would be to leave to screen 0 (preferaby used for a report )which will take you back to the previous screen processed or leave to screen XXXX for a particular screen( in case of a module pool )
    Hope it helps
    Regards

  • Using Back button causes Null Pointer exception

    Hi,
I have done some customization by extending the seeded Controller on a Page.I have altered the View query and executed it again dynamically as its not a static query.
There is a functionality called compare which directs the users to a page from the page I have customised the controller.
If the user uses the back button to return to the previous page it is giving a Null Pointer exception.
Also refresh button causes a similar Null Pointer exception on the customised controller page.
    can anybody throw some light?
Also is there a way to disable the back and refresh button on the page?

Is the control entering the back button code in process request in your CO? Have you confirmed this by putting some debug comments? It many be that this error might being from the code where you have handled back button.
    Put debugging comments and check.

"To display this page,Firefox must send information that will repeat any action (such as search or order confirmation ) that was performed earlier"

  • The Problem is about Standard Back Button Function in the Report Program.

The Problem is about Standard Back Button Function in the Report Program.
In the Report,First call screen Then Using "write" output some information,That is ok. but In the GUI When I press back button that is standard button,it exit screen to program.
My question is how can i do When i press back button, the screen can be back forward first screen instand of exit screen to program. Thanks .

    Hi,
You can define your own PF-STATUS and in that assign the function code for BACK button anything except 'BACK'.
The code would somewhat look like this:
    SET PF-STATUS 'TEST'.
    write : itab-col1,
               itab-col2.
in the PF-STATUS 'TEST', assign the function code to BACK button as 'BCK'.
Now in your program you can use the event AT USER-COMMAND.
In this you can handle the functionality of BACK button.
    Hope this helps.

    Himanshu

  • Problem displaying drill down STANDARD ALV for a particular record after pressing back button

I have a simple interactive ALV grid report. NOT 'OO'. It display correctly on initial execution. AT the moment, 6 records. I want it to work such that if i click record '1', a drill-down version of that ALV with only that one record clicked is displayed. This currently occurs correctly. The problem arises when i click the back button and want to click on a new record, say in the 2nd row..this new 2nd row record is not displayed. The first one is displayed again. I tried clearing and fiddling around but then the last record is displayed. I have used the 'ID' field as a 'hotspot' getting picked up by sy-tabindex. Maybe it could be that i shouldn't loop and use  a work area e.g in my select statement. i'm not so sure i've looked around, and tried a few things. I can't get it right yet. My code is below:

    FORM DATA_RETRIEVAL1.
SELECT * FROM zcontact INTO TABLE it_zcontact WHERE id EQ wa_zcontact-id.

      Append wa_zcontact to Second_table.
And you can use the Second_table to display the second ALV. The second Select Query will affect the performance too.

  • How to handle The Back button on Module Pool screen

    Hi Gurus,
I have created a module pool screen. In that screen I have used some input/output fields(text box) which i have marked mandatory by making the input field as "required" under program tab.
now when running the screen if no data is entered into these mandatory input field then BACK button does not work. First I have to enter some data into the input filed only then the BACK button works. How should i code so that the back button works even without entering the data into these mandatory fields.

    hi,
use AT EXIT-COMMAND with the module.
eg. module user_command at exit command.
then there will be no problem.

The first executable line in the processFormRequest() method in your EmployeeResultsCO class.

Try to check on any different browser.
