Handle print function in standard report

Hi,
Is it possible to handle print event in standard report ? I made my own status-gui with print button activated (assigned function code), added in code:
AT USER-COMMAND.
  CASE sy-ucomm.
    WHEN 'PRN'.
      PERFORM my_prn_control.
  ENDCASE.
but, when I press print button in report, at-user-command section isn't triggered :/

strange... after few restarting of abab probram sy-ucomm cointains correct assigned value

  • Enhancing print functionality for ALV report

Our client requires a special Print at click button in few reports and screens in such a way that there is no effort in setting page sizes etc.
For one particular report, there are many columns.  When I try to use List -> Print, only first few columns are printed.  I want that all the columns are printed in landscape manner in different pages and the first column is repeated in both pages (it is frozen in report).
    How to make these happen?

    HI,
    You can try following steps,
    1) Goto transaction SPAD and create Page formate according to your requirement.
    2) Create format and copy action from standard format.
    3) create device type
    4) assign that device type to custamize output type.
When ever you take print out of that ALV use your custamize Output Type

      CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE'
           EXPORTING
               I_LOGO             = 'ENJOYSAP_LOGO'
                IT_LIST_COMMENTARY = GT_LIST_TOP_OF_PAGE.

  • CRVS2010 Beta - Print functionality  for Crystal Report in VS 2010

I want to print crystal report documrnt without loading in Reportviewer(in ASP.NET 4.0), just print the report document.
I have used ReportDocument.PrintToPrinter(1, false, 0, 0);This server-based method .One limitation of this method is that a printer name must be specified.  I can set the default printer at design time in the report, and I can change the printer name at run time by setting the ReportDocument.PrintOptions.PrinterName property.this method prints from the server itself, not from the client machine.  This means that any printer I wish to use must be accessible from the server.  I cannot print to a client's desktop printer using this method unless that printer is shared on the network and mapped to the server.
But I want to print from client machine(in ASP.NET 4.0) which is not accessible from server.
    I need solution and suggessions.
    Than You

I don't think that this is a Crystal Reports issue as such. All client / server web apps will behave the same way. See [this|http://support.microsoft.com/kb/184291/en-us] MS Kbase for more details and possible solution.

  • Need alternative for activex print control using Crystal reports 2008

I have created a .Net web application (2.0/3.5 .Net framework) with crystal reports 2008.
Reports are viewed using Crystal reports 2008 activex viewer.
On click of PRINT icon in activex viewer, activex print control download prompt will be displayed on client machine.
I need to avoid downloading of activex print control on client machine. Is there any other alternative or option to use print functionality in viewer without downloading activex print control on client machine?
Or Is there any other workaround for print functionality in Crystal reports 2008 Viewer without downloading activex print control?
Note: Activex print control download prompt will not be displayed when using Crystal reprots XI Release 2 version.
    Thanks,
    Jagannath

Does anyone know which files need to be registered for the ActiveX print control?  We occasionally have users who somehow break their Crystal ActiveX controls, and they can no longer see the print options.  In Crystal 10, I was able to fix these issues by pushing a package which registered several files on the user's computer.

  • The only working print-related function in BioBench1.2 on my PC is the "Print Report", all the other "Print" functions gave me "Error, the printer is not set up correctly".

I used to print all my BioBench data by first exporting them to Excel and then print from there. Recently I need to print some of the screen shots and some data directly from array analysis, but when I click on the "print" buttons, the "Error, the printer is not set up correctly" message occurs. The only thing I can print from BB without this error is the report printing function. I have a postcript printer and I have set the postscript option to be "true"... Thanks !

This problem is a result of a limitation in Windows 9x regarding the size of an image that you can send to the printer. The problem does not occur on Windows 2000/NT. This problem appeared with the increased color options of LabVIEW 6.0 on which the BB1.2 is based.Although it is not immediately obvious, your video driver and settings play a role in printing.
    1. Try adjusting the color palette your driver uses (i.e., 256 color, high olor, true color). The error may occur only in one of these modes. Also, change the resolution (number of pixels) to represent the Screen Area; e.g., change from a 1024 x 768 display to an 800 x 600 pixel display.
2.Certain video drivers also support "acceleration" modes. Using a non-accelerated mode often eliminates the error. For
Windows 95/98, right-click on your My Computer icon and select "Properties" from the pop-up
menu. On the Performance tab, click the Graphics button and change the Hardware Acceleration (e.g., if it is set to "Full", lower the setting a notch or two); for Windows 2000/NT, right-click on your Desktop and select "Properties" from the pop-up menu. On the Settings tab, click the Advanced button and go to
    Troubleshooting.
3.In Windows, the standard VGA driver provided by the operating system is very stable. Try using this driver in place of the specific one written for your video hardware. If the error is eliminated, there is likely a problem with your vendor-provided video driver.
4.These errors are most often fixed with the latest
video/printer driver. Be sure to contact your hardware manufacturer and install the latest driver. An easy way to determine if your error is "driver-related" is to move your code to another machine (and hopefully a different set of drivers) and see if th
e error persists. If the problem is printer related, try another printer.
5.Make sure there are at least 100M avalible space in your C: drive. If not, set the virtual memory to the other drive which has larger available space.

  • Printing labels in using standard report

    Hi everyone,
can anyone help me in creating a report, which has the output as standard AVERY 8160 Labels format of MS Word.
The main purpose of this report is to print Labels.
    regards

    Hi,
The Best method is use the Forms.
In standard report format, use the subroutine to print the one label using the write statement , the same function is used till the last row.
Match the no. of rows reached with the Page row count. Increment the row line dynamically and reset if the new page starts.
    Hope it will help u.

  • The Problem is about Standard Back Button Function in the Report Program.

The Problem is about Standard Back Button Function in the Report Program.
In the Report,First call screen Then Using "write" output some information,That is ok. but In the GUI When I press back button that is standard button,it exit screen to program.
My question is how can i do When i press back button, the screen can be back forward first screen instand of exit screen to program. Thanks .

    Hi,
You can define your own PF-STATUS and in that assign the function code for BACK button anything except 'BACK'.
The code would somewhat look like this:
    SET PF-STATUS 'TEST'.
    write : itab-col1,
               itab-col2.
in the PF-STATUS 'TEST', assign the function code to BACK button as 'BCK'.
Now in your program you can use the event AT USER-COMMAND.
In this you can handle the functionality of BACK button.
    Hope this helps.

    Himanshu

  • Report Toolkit Standard Report Print Problem

We are trying to print a label out on a Zebra QL220+ Thermal Printer.  Using the Report Generation Toolkit and selecting the Report Type as "WORD" it works fine.  However by ONLY changing the Report Type to "STANDARD REPORT" it still prints out the label OK, but then scrolls out another blank label - it's like some sort of form feed character/command is somehow being appended.
We don't want to use the WORD Report Type, because I assume we have to install MS Office, which we don't want.
As you can see from the attached VI, it is just some very basic text that we are writing to the Label.
Is there some way we can see what data is actually being sent to the Printer for the two different Report Types?

If your printer is networked you would open a TCP connection on port 6101 to the printer. If serial simply send the data via normal VISA commands.
Here is the CPCL for the one example label in your code:
    ! 0 200 200 440 1
    TEXT 0 2 10 10 Date: <DATE>
    TEXT 0 2 10 30 Time: <TIME>
    TEXT 0 2 10 50 Operator: <INITIALS>
    TEXT 0 2 10 70 Location: <LOCATION>
    TEXT 0 2 10 90 Reason: <REASON>
    TEXT 0 2 10 110 Post Comment: <COMMENT>
    TEXT 0 2 10 130 S/N: <SN>
    TEXT 0 2 10 150 Dryness Fraction:
    TEXT 0 2 10 170 Signature:
    LINE 100 190 300 190 1
    PRINT
In the above label you would programmatically replace the "<x>" fields with the actual data you wanted printed. For your multiple S/Ns you would use a loop to add the lines with each S/N.
From the CPCL manual here are the pages for the elements I used above:
    TEXT Commands
The TEXT command is used to place text on a label. This
command and its variants control the specific font number
and size used, the location of the text on the label,
and the orientation of this text. Standard resident fonts
can be rotated to 90° increments as shown in the example.
    Format:
    {command} {font} {size} {x} {y} {data}
    where:
    {command}: Choose from the following:
    TEXT Prints text horizontally.
    (or T)
VTEXT Prints text (vertically) rotated 90
    (or VT) degrees counterclockwise.
    TEXT90 (Same as VTEXT above.)
    (or T90)
TEXT180 Prints text (upside down) rotated
    (or T180) 180 degrees counterclockwise.
TEXT270 Prints text (vertically) rotated 270
    (or T270) degrees counterclockwise.
    {font}: Name/number of the font.
{size}: Size identifier for the font.
    {x}: Horizontal starting position.
    {y}: Vertical starting position.
{data}: The text to be printed.
    LINE Commands
Lines of any length, thickness, and angular orientation
can be drawn using the LINE command.
    Format:
    {command} {x0} {y0} {x1} {y1} {width}
    where:
    {command}: Choose from the following:
    LINE Prints a line.
    (or L)
    {x0}: X-coordinate of the top-left corner.
    {y0}: Y-coordinate of the top-left corner.
    {x1}: X-coordinate of:
    - top right corner for horizontal.
    - bottom left corner for vertical.
    {y1}: Y-coordinate of:
    - top right corner for horizontal.
    - bottom left corner for vertical.
{width}: Unit-width (or thickness) of the line.
    <!> {offset} <200> <200> {height} {qty}
    where:
<!>: Use '!' to begin a control session.
{offset}: The horizontal offset for the entire label.
This value causes all fields to be offset
horizontally by the specified number of
    UNITS.
    <200>: Horizontal resolution (in dots-per-inch).
    <200>: Vertical resolution (in dots-per-inch).
{height}: The maximum height of the label.
The maximum label height is calculated by measuring
from the bottom of the first black bar (or
label gap) to the top of the next black bar (or label
gap). Then 1/16” [1.5mm] is subtracted from this
distance to obtain the maximum height. (In dots:
subtract 12 dots on 203 d.p.i printers; 18 dots on
    306 d.p.i. printers)
{qty}: Quantity of labels to be printed.
    Maximum = 1024.

  • Print Out Through *MIR6* Standard Report

    Sir,
I would like to take print out of selected line items ( i.e selected rows ) . Is it possible
through standard report MIR6 . And if yes please tell me how?. or any other option.
    thanks.

You could do a screenshot by using PrintScreen button, then cut the part you need and print it out. Otherwise it's not possible to print just some lines of any document.
P.S. This question has nothing to do with ABAP, please use the correct forum next time.
