Has anyone ever accidentally washed an ipod and had it be okay???

OK, checked all the coat pockets, got out the lip gloss, the kleenex's all that crap, but for some godforsaken reason, I missed the ipod mini; spin cycle finished, go down to move them from the washer to the dryer, I hear something drop down into the bottom of the washer, to my horror, when I peered down into the gray speckled tumbler, there it was, the sopping wet brand new ipod, earphones still around the lovely soaked leather case it was enclosed in....stomach feels like it is going to explode, head is numb, heart is racing like its going to burst, now what do I do? Please let me know of any ideas, other than racing out in the middle of the night to buy a replacement (which is looking like what is going to happen) I have it sitting in front of my woodstove right now, attempting to dry it out, hoping it will not melt and further destroy the poor little gizmo---anyone with a similar situation please advise....tomorrow is not going to start off well, when and if I have to break the news to her that Mom has wrecked her precious pod.....

Dear btabz, your advice was perfect, iDid let it sit for a few days, near our woodstove, and let it dry out completely. iThen hooked it up to the iTunes on the computer and lo and behold, she charged up just fine and updated all the music that had since been added, it works like brand new, iHowever, had to buy my daughter another one in the interim, becuz it was my fault iWashed it, so now iAm the proud new owner of my own iPod nano, it's kinda neat having one, iAm the hippest 41 year old mom at my work (ha ha ha), so let it be known that an iPod can be put through the proverbial "wringer" and still work, iThink iWas just lucky though, iDon't suggest doing it (hee hee) unless like my incident, it was truly a big horrible mistake. Thanks again btabz for your infinite wisdom regarding my situation.
