Have iCal reminders sent to email?
It seems that you can somehow have iCal e-mail reminders of dates of events. I can't figure this out; I can find info on many similar things but not this, so I'm not sure if I'm chasing a non-existent feature...
Any tips? Thanks.

Found the info
in Address Book, create a card with the e-mail address and select it with Mark As My Card. In iCal, choose Email as the Alarm type and this should work.

i cannot sync my iphone music, i had used my i phone on another pc, which died. Ive managed to save the hard drive and transfer stuff across. I ended up smashing my phone and could update all other stuff on restore but cant sync any music. It is all grey at the top of the screen. Ive re installed itunes and cleared all phone data. I'm having a similar problem. I had previously (over a year ago) purchased 2 episodes of Law & Order. Then about 2 months ago, I purchased the 3rd season of Sons of Anarchy. When I downloaded these episodes to my iPad, about a dozen full seasons of various shows popped up, too. No money was removed from my iTunes account & theses particular shows aren't in my iTunes library on my desktop. I've tried every which way to delete them from my ipad, but can't. I went to the Apple store & they suggested I contact expresslane.apple.com for help. I submitted my problem, via email Friday, as they asked, but have not received any response. Any suggestions on how to get rid of these "phantoms?".

I'll add that this can happen when snapshotting is used as a backup method. You can set max endpoints to 32 and still see the issue. Please ensure that you're backing up using the supported PowerShell commands: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh202170.aspx
and not just a snapshot of the VM. If raising max endpoints does not resolve the issue, try backing up with the management shell commands within a recurring scheduled task or try http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/office/Backup-script-for-Lync-2013-aacbb9b9
. Then disable the snapshot ting for your front ends, bounce them one at a time, and ensure the data exports you've made are backed up as flat files.

I have been sent an email to say that my apple id has been used to download ibooks. I have now changed my password as I have not downloaded ibooks. I would like to know if I am going to be charged ?
Was it a genuine email from Apple or a phishing attempt to try and get your account and payment details ? Whether you will be charged will depend if anything was downloaded on your account, and whether or not it was a free item - we are fellow users here on these forums, we won't know if anything has been bought on your account.
The iBooks app is free app, but if you haven't already done so then check to see if anything shows on your account's purchase history : See your purchase history in the iTunes Store.
If a purchase shows there and you didn't make it, and nobody else has access to your account or devices and made it, then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes Support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption -
I want to know why I have been sent an email from Apple to verify my account by asking for my Apple ID and password.
how do I know this is genuine and is there a way to check that this is not a scamI would be very careful about email asking for your Apple ID and password. These are some of the Official Apple email addresses that would contact you:

These email are not to be replied to at all and if the email you receive asks you to reply or has a link that doesn't go the Apple.com or iCloud.com domains, then they are definitely fake. -

What I am trying to do is take the data input from a form, and have that data sent via email within a table.

Use PHP to create a table within your message body:
$message = '<table border="1">';
$message .= '<tr>';
$message .= '<td>E-mail :</td><td>'.$email.'</td>';
$message .= '</tr><tr>';
$message .= '<td>Company :</td><td>'.$company.'</td>';
$message .= '</tr>';
$message .= '</table>';
The above script will capture Email & Company. But you should get the idea. Add all the desired fields within here by creating new <tr> rows/ columns.
And your existing script will do the rest of mailing this out as a 'table'. -
How do I stop an event sent by email which iCal is rejecting keep coming back?
Some months ago I was sent an appt by email for inclusion in iCal. This happens frequently - normally without a problem. On this occasion however it was rejected:
"calendar can't accept the event [name of event]....etc"
"The account [name of account] currently can’t be modified. To discard your changes and continue using the version of your calendars that’s on the server, click Revert to Server".
However despite clicking Revert to Server many many times I keep getting the message every time I have iCal open.

If you are not being allowed to add/change/edit an event, it indicates that you have an uneditible (Birthday or Subscribed) calendar selected in the CALENDAR Sources pane of the iCal window. Just click on the appropriate calendar to make the change.

ICal reminders for iPod and notebook battery have broken links
iCal reminders for iPod and notebook battery have broken links and are not functioning. I went to http://www.apple.com/batteries/ipods.html and midway down on the right side is a link to install a ical reminder. That link does not work with my laptop.
It sends me this link "webcal://www.apple.com/images/ipod_icalreminder.ics" but I immediately get an email message stating:
Error subscribing to the calendar
No calendar was found on http://www.apple.com/images/ipod_icalreminder.ics. Please check the URL.
Likewise, the same thing happens for my notebook. Is there another URL or does anyone have connections at apple to reinstate this dead link.Hope this helpful.

Have a iphone 3GS; 2 email accounts. one is for work. It used to work fine until about Feb 2011. Now when i send emails from my work account it only appears in the sent file. Recipients do not get email.
IT person looked at it & cannot find why this is happening.
Any insight why this is occurring??This has nothing to do with your iPhone.
If a message is in the account's Sent mailbox, this means the message was successfully sent. If a message cannot be sent for whatever reason, it will remain in the Outbox.
What happens to a message after it was successfully sent has nothing to do with the email client or computer/device used to send the message. -
i have ordered an i-pad and cancelled it the other day. I have used my indian debit for that order. So money got debited immediately. Apple has sent an email saying that it is successfully cancelled. But money is not yet credited into my account. please let me know what is happening. I cancelled the order on April 9th. Its already been more than 15 days.
Your best corse of action would be to either email apple support or ring them giving them your debit I'd and the order number where they will be able to look at what's wrong and set u going on the right track

I can't seem to sync my calendar on my iphone to iCal because the default email address associated with my calendar on my iphone was to an old work email address that I no longer have. When I go to ICal it asks for the username and password which I no longer have. The calendar is still on my phone (even though the email account is on my phone but doesn't work) Is there a way to copy my calendar to a different email address on my iphone? I have now set the default email account for the calendar to a current email address but I still can't figure out how to merge my iphone calendars, copy the iphone calendar to iCal, or save my iphone calendar to my mac. Also, I read in ITunes to check "sync to ICal" but my ITunes under my iphone and info just says "Sync Calendars" which doesn't transfer it to iCal when I sync my phone.

I have a 4 yr. old iMac. I recently got a trojan on it that sent out emails to my address book. I got Norton Internet Security for Mac, and now my Mac is running slow, with way too many spinning beach balls of death. Was it a mistake to install Norton?

There is no such Trojan or other malware known today that will do that using OS X nor has there ever been one. The most probable explanation is that somebody hacked into your e-mail account on the server, so you should change that password to something stronger right away. If it had come from your Mac then there would almost certainly be copies of those messages in your Sent Mail mailbox.
