  • Haven't received verification email for iCloud

    My email for iCloud still says verifying. But I haven't received an email yet either.

    Make sure you are checking the email address you used to set up your iCloud account.  Also make sure you check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox.  If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.  More details here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5404.

    To get rid of "pop-up ads and other crap on my computer when I am on the internet", click on Safari in the Menu bar, and select Preferences. Next select Extensions. Delete all of them. Restart Safari.
    The first step in addressing the black screen is an SMC reset.
    Shut down the computer.
    Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
    On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
    Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
    Press the power button to turn on the computer. 
    Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.

    Try taking your question to the new Mountain Lion forum. As teach5 notes, the experts are saying that it will take up to 72 hours to receive an email with your redemption code. Sorry if that's true but it's not like you won't get what was promised - just a bit later than those who purchaed it.

  • Signed up for Firefox Sync but haven't received verification email

    I'm returning to Firefox after becoming thoroughly frustrated with Google Chrome. I logged into the last version of Firefox i had used (Nightly 29), synced my old stuff to the most recent version of Nightly (37a1), unlinked that device from the old Sync, restarted Firefox, created a New Sync login with my email address ([email protected]), and waited for the verification email. None received. Reequested that i be resent three times. Still nothing. No emails from Mozilla/Firefox in junk email or Office 365 spam filter for my domain.
    I see others have experienced issues with creating a new Sync account as well. Please advise how I can resolve this issue and return to Firefox on all my devices asap!

    Have you tried to request a verification email again recently?
    Just checked in with the Firefox Accounts team and they did say there were some email failures recently - but should be working now.

  • I haven't received any email contact from Apple after submitting my first podcast. Have a missed something?

    I've managed to create my first podcast and was informed from others that upon posting to the iTunes store, Apple would send an email confirming it has received the podcast and another about 24 hours later confirming it has been indexed and providing a link to make it live.
    As of yet, I've received none, including checking my junk emails.
    The podcast shows up when clicking File > Subscribe to a podcast and entering in the RSS feed url, yet when clicking on the podcast and selecting > Show in iTunes Store, it yields no results. As a result, you can't search for the podcast in the iTunes Store or provide a direct link to it.
    I'm using Libsyn as the RSS host (http://processtheprocess.libsyn.com/rss) and Feedburner(http://feeds.feedburner.com/ProcessTheProcess).
    The "Subscribe with iTunes" on the Feed Burner page works and provides a link to download the podcast, but I'd like for it to be searchable on iTunes before continuing.
    Is there a logical explanation to this and have I missed an important step along the way?

    When you submit a feed you should get an ackowledgment email. After that it can take a couple of weeks for your podcast to be accepted (24 days is wildly optimistic) at which point you should be sent another email giving you the Store page URL. The emails may possibly have gone missing in transit, but that wouldn't prevent your podcast eventually going live as you don't have to do anything further. However the ability to locate a podcast through Search usually takes a further period, making it more difficult to discover whether the podcast is up or not.
    You could try emailing Support as podcasts 'at' apple.com and asking about this, but it's quite likely you won't get a specific reply.
    One possible test is to try submitting the feed again. If it has been registered as submitted you will be told that it has already been submitted, which will at least tell you that it's in process.

  • Haven't Received Confirmation Email of Purchase

    Yesterday I bought 6 songs from the iTunes store, all from different albums. It has been 20 hours since I bought them and I have only received a confirmation email for one, but all the songs are downloaded into my library and when I go on the store it says "purchased" for those songs. Does this mean that only one of them registered through the payment info? If so, how do I still have the songs?
    I have an iMac (Leopard, 10.5.8) and am using the latest version of iTunes that is supported (10.6.3). I have never had a problem like this in the past.

    I hope this is in the right category... Anyways I just got an iPad 4 and have been trying to buy some apps from the App Store. It asks me to answer my security questions so I do and it tells me it's wrong and then proceeds to tell me that I can reset my questions. I do that, type in account information and it says it sent the email but I have not gotten it yet. I did this last night and still have not received anything .... I really wanna buy some apps but I can't. What should I do ?

    I just recently returned an iMac to an Apple store and, although I had my receipt with me, they were able to pull up the transaction without it by various means: name, email address used, order number, and/or credit card.

         I've been having my apple id since the year 2011 and not once did I ever try to purchase anything until last year. So I brought my first ever iTunes gift card of $15 and redeemed it in my account. When I tried to buy something, it asked for security questions answers and I simply didn't remember them.
