I've osx 10.8.3. when i try update to 10.8.5, the error (102) is appear often, why?

    Who is your eMail provider, the part after the @ sign?
    In Mail's Window Menu, choose Connection Doctor, any red dots for status, if so what is the message?
    Then click the Show Details button & Check again.
    Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it, or delete it and start over.
    You may have multiple entries.
    Open Keychain Access in Utilities, enter the part after the @ sign in the search bar, hit enter
    The Password rejection can confuse people since it's a catch all meaning...
    This Password, Username, Authentication method... is not recognized on this Port to this Server, more than one entry in Keychain for each in/out entry, or a server end problem.
    If using a browser to login via WebMail works it's not Name or Password, but one of the other ones.
    The receiving email ports are:
    IMAP is port 143
    IMAP-SSL is port 993
    POP is port 110
    POP-SSL is port 995
    Outgoing ports are...
    SMTP and SMTP-SSL is on ports 25, 587 and 465. Port 587 has to be SSL, and port 465 is enforced TLS-wrapped and is generally used by Outlook users.

    I am having problem with reinstalling my software with Nokia Suite. It shows while backing up the data that phone memory is full. However already I have exhausted all the options for freeing phone memory. 
    I need to reinstall my software as my mobile phone is causing some problem.
    I have Asha 305 phone. Kindly reply back if you could help me.

    Thanks for replying. 
    The reason i wish to reinstall software in my cellphone because of 'deletion of certificates'. It shows a 'Certificate Invalid, Check date and time settings'. Furthermore, my nokia browser has restored to its default version. And the mail does not work.
    Re backup: I am unable to create backup following the mentioned instruction, it again pops the memory issue. 
    I have already tried to reset my mobile, both the settings and the full reset, which at maximum saves me a free phone memory of 6.0 MB. Moreover I have also tried the option in Nokia Suite, 'Free some space'. That too could not help me out.
    If you can help me out, kindly reply.

    BTW, is resetting one of the steps you did to free more phone space? If the phone backup process succeeded, try resetting your phone by going to Settings > Restore factory settings. You can select Settings only to just restore the defaul settings, or Restore all to wipe out all your personal data which could free more space in your phone. After the reset, try reinstalling the phone's SW via Nokia Suite and see your Asha 305 will work fine afterwards.

  • I am having problems with recent update of adobe digital editions

    I tried to download an open book from library and when I tried to transfer to my Kobo I got message
    "CE-COPY-NOTALLOWED"no permission to copy book.  When I tried to return it I got Message
    Ë-BAD-LOAN-ID"   I have downloaded other books with no problem, but have had other problems with this version . i.e.  the program often shuts down when I return books to library,  If I try to download 2 books at a time, when downloading the 2nd book, it tells me I am still downloading the first book and says I already have it.  Is anyone having these problems and does anyone have a solution.  I would like to go back to 1st version of Adobe Digital if possible, it worked much better for me.

    I find the older v1.7.2 has many fewer bugs than the newer V2.0 or 2.0.1.
    There are lots of bugs in ADE2.0.  (You can have them both installed at once if you like.)
    Version 1.7.2, it is a little difficult to find, available on Adobe site for Windows and for Mac.

    Are you updating from the App Store when you get that error message?

  • Problem with OSX Update for Epson Printers

    II installed an OSX update a couple of days ago - was for Epson printers.  Ever since then my Epson won't print.  I've tried everything.  I keep getting a message that "Filter" failed.  Any fixes coming up for this?

    I just had to go into system preferences for the printer and click on the printer and then click on sharing preferences and type in my computer name.  Then turn off the computer and turn it back on again and the printer now WORKS.  Amazing.
    That solved the same problem for me also.  I had already gone into Time Machine and put back the old Epson files that were changed by the update, but that didn't fix the problem.  Typing the computer name fixed it.

    i been having this problem one month ago my computer was saying that i had less than 200mb in my computer so i began erasing stuff and i erased something for my ipod without nowing.
    the problem is that when i connect my ipod it says . (error file cannot be found) so if i connect my ipod i wont be able to updated because of that problem . so if anyone could help me please reply to me.

    i had a similar problem a few weeks back when i first got mine (lousy 9 year old computer...5 gb hard drive! yeah!). i realized that it had to do with the automatic update function: when you plug your ipod into the computer, if automatic update is on, the computer will basically tell the ipod "sorry, looks like he erased those files from itunes, so you better do the same thing."
    easiest way around it is to disable automatic updates. for windows, go to: Edit> Preferences and select the ipod tab on top. click "manually update tracks" and select OK. after that, you just drag & drop tracks from your library to the ipod, and it won't touch anything that's already been put onto it.

  • I am having problems with an update.  I spoke with Prabhudev on 9/27.  He was unable to resolve my problem and referred me to call 800-833-6687.  When I call, I get an automated message that help is not available.  What now?

    My Mac tells me there is an update for Photoshop CS5, the Camera Raw 6.7 update.  It downloads, installs, then gives me an error message that the installation failed, error code U44M1P7, and advises contacting Customer Support.  I did so.  On 9/27 I chatted with Prabhudev.  He referred me to a link to download the update.  I did the download and tried to install.  I got an error message - "Error - “AdobePatchInstaller.app” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer. Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the Mac App Store and identified developers.“AdobePatchInstaller.app” is on the disk image “AdobeCameraRaw-6.7-mul-AdobeUpdate.dmg”. Safari downloaded this disk image today at 12:54 PM from www.adobe.com"  He then said
    Prabhudev: Okay, In this case I suggest you to contact our technical support team on monday.

    That number gets me to a recording that tells me that phone support is not available.
    I can open and use Photoshop, but whenever I check for updates for my computer, this same update comes up, gets downloaded, and fails to install.  I want to either get rid of the update message or get the update installed.  Can anyone help?

    Further info - I changed my security settings to allow apps from anywhere, and again tried to install.  I again got an error message
    that the update failed to install, and to contact Customer Support.

  • Recent problems with Windows Update with Thinkpad 8

    Since last week I've started having problems with Windows Update on ny Thinkpad 8. It seems to be related with some recent update. At first I received different error codes. As I don't have many programs on my tablet, I refreshed it and set up Windows and Office again. I ran WU, and after the first update (with 100+ updates) WU was working ok. However, after a second set of updates (probably the most recent) I've started receiving error messages again. Most recently I am receiving code 80070002, and the error seems to affect only the installation of Windows Defender definitions through WU -- other WU updates install correctly, and most of the time I can install Windows Defender updates through Windows Defender. I have already tried the Windows Update Diagnostic tool, but the problem persists.

    Sorry for the late reply. My email firewall has become a little over zealous & sent a lot of my emails straight to my junk email folder, so I have only just now discovered your reply in my junk mail folder.
    The only "don't open files exceeding xxx megabytes" instruction I can find in my Prefs, is in the Bridge Prefs for Thumbnails, & mine is set at 1000mb. The biggest files I handle are bigger than 200mb so I should be able to open a few, not just one.
    However, this doesn't explain why I can open a psd format file of 180mb, close it, but then can't open a RAW format file of only 26mb immediately after.
    I can open the RAW file only if I restart my computer - very annoying!
    However, thanks for the advice about the video card & memory.
    So, I'm still stuck as to what the issue is.

    Was it purchased from an official Apple Store, not a reseller?  Only Apple Stores sell official factory unlocked phones.  The others sell hacked to unlock phones, and the unlocking is unstable.
    Try these steps, as needed:
    1. Reset phone - press both home and on/off buttons for at least 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears.
    2. Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
    3. Replace SIM card (and reset network settings again)
    4. Restore Phone in iTunes using a backup
    5. Restore in iTunes as new, without using a backup

  • Are you having problems with Windows XP Pro and Airport Utility Updates?

    I was having problems with my wireless laptop setting up my Bonjour Printer. I checked to make sure I had downloaded the latest updates to Airport Utility and Bonjour. Check. After doing this I noticed I couldn't see my Airport Extreme through the Airport Utility. After much frustration and bringing my entire network crashing down around me, I got help from a knowledgeable guy from Cox Cable in San Diego. He helped me get my trusty iMac Power PC online. It saw my Airport Extreme but no answers were forthcoming in any forums about my XP issues. Here is what finally solved my problem. I uninstalled all Airport Utility and Bonjour Programs. I then went back to Airport Utility 5.3.1 for Windows. It installs Bonjour Printer services with this download. Everything is working perfectly again. I have my Canon Pixma MP500 connected to the USB port on my AEBS and Bonjour walked right through the setup process. I suggest that if this works for you, turn off all Airport Utility and AEBS firmware updates until you see that whatever issue Apple created with these updates gets fixed.

    I'm pretty sure the extra 512 memory stick was the problem, that would explain why it was being inconsistent with its type of failures before. I'm going to reinstall it later and run memtest86 and try and see if i can get it to work at all somehow without causing problems, cuz 1.5 was already low enough...

  • Is anyone having problems with the new Xerox printer driver update from Apple? My 8700S is no longer working with QuarkXPress.

    I allowed a System Update that included a Xerox Printer update. I am running a MacPro 10.6.8 with Quark 8.5.1 and a Xerox ColorQube 8700S.  EVERY was working perfectly before the "update" but afterwards anything sent to the printer from Quark would stall the printer.  I went to the Xerox website and downloaded their Printer Driver and tried again.  Now I could print from  Quark but I can NOT get to the printer window to change the type of paper, etc.  So, the problem still persists.
    Should I try going into Time Machine and trying to find the Xerox Print Driver in the Library folder?
    Should I upgrade the whole system software?  (I wouldn't mind doing that AFTER I get this magazine off to the commerical printer)
    Should I upgrade to Quark 9?
    Any help here would be apprciated.

    As a general rule of thumb, I never install updates until I read its info and I am having problems with my current software.  I hide the updates until I need them.  Usually this happens when I update or upgrade my os.  I don't fix what ain't broken is my golden rule.
    It is possible that you need to update or upgrade Quark in order for your newer printer driver to work.  First I would try the following....
    Disconnect all peripherals from your computer.
    Boot from your install disc & run Repair Disk from the utility menu. To use the Install Mac OS X disc, insert the disc, and restart your computer while holding down the C key as it starts up.
    Select your language.
    Once on the desktop, select Utility in the menu bar.
    Select Disk Utility.
    Select the disk or volume in the list of disks and volumes, and then click First Aid.
    Click Repair Disk.
    Restart your computer when done.
    Repair permissions after you reach the desktop-http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2963 and restart your computer.
    If your printer does not work afterwards, update or upgrade Quark.  If that does not work, contact the printer manufacturer.
