Having some Desktop wallpaper issues.

Hi, I am having trouble getting the result from a wallpaper program that I want, and was hoping you guys could help me find a good one.
I have tried every program on https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Li … er_setters and could not find one that meets my needs.
I would like to have a different wallpaper for every workspace in Xfce. I recently converted from Manjaro, and the Xfce desktop settings had better wallpaper setting functionality, but the version I installed in Arch does not have these features.

Annoying desktop wallpaper issues

Lately i'm having issues with my wallpaper on my macbookpro. The state of my wallpaper now is white, just white nothing else. I try and apply a new image but it doesnt seem to do anything. Whenever i reboot my mbp, my old wallpaper images displays for a couple of seconds until osx is fully loaded but then goes back to white. I use a secondry monitor as well, but it displays images, just not the screen on my mbp. The mmp works perfecly, nothing else wrong with it (touch wood) just this really annoying desktop wallpaper issue!

We have about 200 users that connect to three terminal servers. On the servers we have Office 2013 installed. Several users are stating that when they attempt to search for templates or insert Online Pictures, they are getting error messages of "Sorry,
we are having some temporary server issues. You can work off line if you plan to insert pictures from your computer"
Remember, they are connecting to a terminal server, all have roaming profiles, and for some users this works fine.
We've Googled the error message and found no help. A lot of responses was to reset the IE settings, which we've tried to no avail.
Also as a test, we took one of the users that was having the issue and deleted their profile. When they logged back on the server, the same problem occurred again.
We're currently at a loss as to why it works for some users and not others?
Any ideas out there?

Desktop Wallpaper Issue

I have a late 2009 iMac with an external display running Lion. I have 4 desktop spaces each with specific applications. Since upgrading, I've changed my desktop wallpaper a few times (I like to change it with the seasons) and there has never been a problem. Last night I changed the wallpaper on my main screen and went about my business. When I switched spaces, the wallpaper in that space was the previous one. When I opened Mission Control, it showed me that only one space's wallpaper had been changed and the rest were the old image. I went through each space and changed the wallpaper (which was annoying because System Preferences doesn't move with the spaces, so I'd have to change the image, quit Preferences, change spaces, open Preferences, etc.). After I did that, I changed spaces again and suddenly the wallpaper on my external display was the stock galaxy image instead of the leaves image that has been there for over a month. I figured there must be some kind of glitch so I restarted. After the restart, the external display's wallpaper was set to that stock galaxy image on all of the spaces. It's strange that this suddenly started happening without any kind of software update. Has anyone else experienced this?

where do you have your wallpapers stored? you may find that having them on an external drive might make them not appear on startup (could be a sign of a failing HD), which will then make the mac revert back to the factory settings.
Try this, if your wallpapers are on your Mac HD (making my previous suggested null and void).
go to system prefereces>spotlight, then click Privacy. Hit the plus button at the bottom of the white window with things that you've set private. Find where your wallpapers are stored and add it to the privacy list. Now select that same drive you just added and remove it from the privacy list. This will make spotlight reindex that folder and you will hopefully have your wallpapers back. You may have to reset them.
also, next time you do the major switching, instead of closing System Preferences and reopening them constantly, you can right click system prefernces icon (when on the dock) and choose options>All Desktops.
This way, the application window will follow you going to the different spaces. unclick the setting when you don't want it to do that anymore.

After updating to iOS 5.0.1 iPhone 4 having some Apple ID issues on apps

I upgraded my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.0.1 and when I went to log in with my Apple ID it told me that I needed to have an email instead of a name for my Apple ID. So I went online and updated my ID to my email but now my phone says that I have apps that need to update but it still has my previous ID before I moved it to my email. I have tried going into settings and logging out and back in to the iTunes store but there is no change on those apps. For new apps I'm not having any issues at all so it looks like previous downloads before I updated.

Have you tried this? Did/does it work? My problem is that I can no longer access my "old account". When I use the IForget utility, I get nowhere using either the security questions or email reset instructions route. I wonder if the account is the same, the user ID just changes, but the old ID is not retained i any practical way, and therefore cannot not be summoned when running a security/password check. Does that make sense? So frustrated Right now since I cannot download my purchased apps and music.

Firefox with avira run in background having some periodic lagging issue

Firefox 5 with avira run in background is lagging like 5 ~ 10 minute period.
this was after avira installed a new feature called WebGuard, is it had something to do with the lagging? or just my hardware failure?
i being monitor the task manager, but nothing suspicious going around, and the CPU usage didn't shot high at all...

Because I know enough to be dangerous... I was trying to extend the two outside columns down.... Instead of just using faux columns which I have fixed since I posted the question.
The other link problem is the left sidebar links. When you go to the event photos page I have a repeat of the sidebar links that are on the newsletter page. I used named anchors on the newsletter page to link to the particular article. From the Event Photos page the links look like this:

The problem I am having is that some of these go to the newsletter page and the anchor and some do not (I get an error message saying it can't find the page). To add to the problem is that when we choose say the President's Message, when it goes to the newsletter page and the correct anchor, the newsletter page is missing all the links to the graphics... the photos are missing the graphic for the faux columns is missing. It makes no sense. When I preview the newsletter page from Dreamweaver everything shows up fine.
I do not know if all of this is being caused because I haven't posted this stuff to the site or what. I've tried re-booting both the browser and Dreamweaver, dumping the cache and still the same nonsense.
Got any ideas?

Desktop Wallpaper Issues

The upgrade to SL went smoothly. One minor issue is that the custom wall paper that I choose under system prefrences always reverts back to a blue screen. Anyone else having this issue?

Create a new User go to System Preferences >> Accounts >> "+" (make it an admin acct) and test the apps in this new account, if they work the problem is isolated to your User and not systemwide.

Having some relatively disturbing issues, help please!

Hi everyone, I just recently posted regarding a problem surrounding moving Logics SPL to before the 0 0 0 0 mark of a song both while playing and when stopped, and this action causing Logic to crash hard, evoking the spinning lollipop of death. So as if this wasn't enough I'm still working on a very small track, it's just few bars in length so far and only about 5 exs's running drums. Now what is happening is when I hit * (to record) I get a
"Core Audio" System Overload: The audio engine was not able to process all required data in time (-10011)
I click continue, and then when I try to get up and running again, say move the spl line, click on a region etc. Logic freeze hard and I get the spinning lollipop of death again.
I should mention this is only happening when I start at bar 1, if I move 1 bar up the problem is gone but still this seems a bit buggy to me. Clearly this is both undesirable and disturbing, and it's gotten me thinking this may be something to do with my system. However everything had been rock solid up until 7.1.1. The only thing that has changed is that I'm now on 10.4.3 though both issues happened in 10.4.2, I upgraded to try and remedy the problem, no such luck. I'm curious, could this have been caused by my harddrive. I"m currently only using one 160 gig internal drive. There are now only 37 gigs of free space and this is the only thing I can think of, I'm going to get another drive soon, but does this sound like it may be culprit? Otherwise, does anyone have any suggestions, I verified and repaired disk permisions before and after all recent upgrades to Logic and the system so I'm at a loss as to what may be causing this. it's happening with the two songs I'm currently working on, one is pretty big, aka, a lot of audio instruments but pretty light on the audio, i"m an electronic producer so none of this has been recorded directly into either of these projects. The second project is very light, 5 exs24's, 3 of them are playing a bass line, Lo, BP, and HP, and the other two are drum kits I'm working on. It's strange to me because it's only happening at the very beginning of the song and it's just like the computer gets overwhelmed because as soon as I hit spacebar you can tell it's locked up then the spinning wheel pops up and its over. I've checked out the system performance and it's unfortunately given me no clues, the audio shows both processors working very little even up until the crash (maybe 4 or 5 % cpu usage) and the I/O is lower still perhaps only 2%, it used to spike before I got a core audio message but that's not happening here. I just triggered the crash again, this time I closed the project before touching anything, this got me a crash report which I'll post below, if anyone knows how to read those things I'd appreciated any feedback, thanks in advance,

Win 10 - Desktop Icons Issue

Hi! Today I clean-installed windows 10, but I am facing an issue(?): Basically, I can't move my desktop icons to the last/bottom row, I mean just above the taskbar (possible thing in windows 8/8.1) I am going crazy for this! :\

What is the problem that you're having? Desktop Icons Issue isn't really enough information to go on.
Which T series system do you have, and what operating system are you running?

Desktop Icons Issue

Multiple people have reported this problem. I talked to Lenovo Tech Support today and the person told me he had never heard of this problem and that they do not monitor the Forums for systemic issues like this. Frankly, this person seemed clueless on many fronts so I am not sure either of those things are valid. It was an extremely frustrating telephone call.
In any case, I would like to rollback to the original version of the ATI drivers as well as "Presentation Director" to see if this fixes the problem. Does anyone have or know where to get the previous version(s) so I can test to see if it also has this problem?

What is the problem that you're having? Desktop Icons Issue isn't really enough information to go on.
Which T series system do you have, and what operating system are you running?
Re tech support not monitoring the forum, there are a few Lenovo employees roaming around in here helping out on a volunteer basis, but this is not an official support channel. Instead, this is designed to be a user-to-user support and discussion forum.

It is not showing on the Desktop or the left colomn of Finder (Set to do both in Finder Prefernces) and is not showing up under the Disk application under Utilities (Sorry can't remember the name off the top of my head!)

You should be able to read NTFS formatted drives, just not write to them. For that matter, USB Flash drives generally come formatted NTFS for use with PC's and they have to be able to mount on a Mac in order to reformat them for Mac use. The Windows utilities supplied on those Flash drives will be deleted when the drive is reformatted for Mac use so I routinely copy them to the Mac desktop first before reformatting.

In my Macbook Pro, on a few occassions, the apple menu bar blacks out. its displayed as a negative image. The desktop wallpaper get greyed out and i get a blank screen as wallpaper. No idea why this happens. I reset the system and issue gets resolved.

I am having some serious issues with firefox, i can't print anything because it is stuck on fax and I can't use any of the drop down menus on any site

I am having some serious issues with firefox to the point of choosing another search engine. I can't print anything because it is stuck on fax and won't let me change it to my printer when i do try to select my printer it jumps right back to fax. The drop down menus do not work on any of the sites I go to. For example when purchasing clothes and you have to choose a size from a drop down menu I can't do it when I click on the drop down menu it doesn't work at all. I don't have a virus I ran my virus protector and no viruses are present. I don't have any suspicious issues going on with my computer so there has to be something in Firefox that is causing my issues. I tried internet explorer and I don't have any issues there. I hope you can help me because I love Firefox and would really like to continue to use it.

Lots of issues there, main one getting fcpx going again, try deleting the preferences using the utility deveoped by these guys.

Try deleting your render files and re-rendering the project.

I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account. I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there. On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back. Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email. The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option?

Try to change the credit information from your iphone or other ios device. Tap on settings > store > tap Apple ID > tap view account > tap payment information > change
