HD Video into a Flash Presentation...

Hello Everyone
Sorry, I know this is off topic but I find myself bobbing at the deep end and I could use some help.
I've created a video which will be presented on a 50" plasma as part of a Flash presentation.
Can anyone share experience as to how to get the best looking output from flash? And the best route for getting the video in there in the first place. I believe I can go via .flv or H264 - any ideas as to preference / data rates etc?
My video is currently Uncompressed 720p25 and the presentation is built at 1280x720x25fps.

do you have CS4's Media Encoder?

this is the presentation size, but what size should your video be? 25fps in Flash will be irrelevant to your video frame rate. (e.g. - flash's timeline could be set to 1fps, but your video will play at whatever it was encoded at.)

External .swf into a flash presentation

Hey guys and girls!
I got a question here. I made a small flash intro 2 weeks ago
and saved it into a .swf. Now I am doing a flash presentation with
many slides for a client and I want to put the intro into the first
slide. I am doing a symbol/movie clip and after the movie is
loaded, it does not switch slides...

Is it possible to insert live video and audio from a webcam into a Keynote presentation? I would like to bring a remote participant into a presentation.

Live video can not be played within Keynote.

in CS3 you can write code in ActionScript 2 or 3.
on your root timeline in the fla create an empty layer call
it actions and lock it then select the frame and in your action
pannel. type in Movieclipyou want to load the swf
in.loadMovie("name of swf file.swf");
to unload the swf fie use movieclip yuloaded the swf
in.unloadMovie();

How do I load photos and video into existing flash

Hi,
I can work with graphics and timeline keyframes but I'm
generally clueless about scripting.
I have a page:

that I've prepared with 3 button instances in anticipation of
loading either one of 2 photos or a video clip into a upper level
I am terrible with the loadmovie syntax, and have tried
loading the photos with a onrelease load movie script but keep
getting error reports.
I am also unclear as how best to unload the photos or video
to get back to the lowest level timeline.
I have Flash 8.
I see you can load jpegs or .swf but t seems if I can learn
to load .swfs I could then use the same load/unload solution to
load either my photos (whcih I guess I would *embed* in a .swf) or
the flash video (also as a .swf)

Also make sure your folder structure in the camera is on Standard and not by Date

Video in my flash presentation playing faster than the animation

I have a flash presentaion that contains flvs, devided to chapters,everytime a video ends (chapter ends) a flash animation runs (like title changing,and thunmbnails changing).
the prob i m having is that on a core2quad, animation is faster than videos,and on p4 video is slower than animation.
the best played presentation is on core2duo.
how can we solve this prob?

How to add a flash animation into another flash presentation? Help!!!

I made an animation and I am wanting to add it to a flash portfolio that I am now creating. I am creating the portfolio so I can send it to potential employers. I am new to Flash but not to Illustrator, Photoshop or InDesign. I am adding several different files from those other programs to the porfolio and want to add a few Flash creations also.So how can I easliy bring the Flash animations into the Presentation? I want the animation to play in the same timeline but I don't want to have to recreate the whole thing or recreate the portfolio. What type of file format does the animation need to be to play? Can this be done?

In AS2 you can use loadmovie to load a .swf into another .swf.

Importing Video into Flash Project ?

Hi, I want to ask you about how can I import video into my Flash Project and make it possible to view ?
I tried to choose embed FLV but the sound quality is quite shity and the video quality too. Furthermore, It expands the timeline which is too long because my video is quite long too. It said that it can be at least 16000 Frames to run.
Now I choose Import -> Import Video -> Load External ..... and then I put it on one scene. The thing is that when I test it, it looks like I have to expands the timeline too so that I can play the videos fully. And It will slow down the computer so much when I want to export. Is there any way I can play the video only by just creating one keyframe ?
Please help me.

i choose Load -> External and it gives me some FLVPlayback in the library too ... But how I can make it relate to the previous scene and it can play the whole video and then back to the first scene...
First scene is where people can choose some option that I made of ...
A is where I link to the scene 3 of my project
B comes to Scene 4
C comes to Scene 5
What I'm stucking right now is how can I made the C choice for people to choose and they can see the videos. I tried to drag the FLVPlayback to the scene 6 and it shows some result. But I think if I want to watch the whole video I need to expand the timeline as much as possible and I really don't want that. Is there any actionscript code or some tips that I can make it possible? Sorry because I'm a newbie so I don't understand your words. Can you explain it more ?

Embed Youtube video into Powerpoint?

Is there a way to embed a youtube video into a powerpoint presentation on a mac? I have seen many tutorials on how to embed a youtube video into a powerpoint on a PC, but not on a mac. I know you can put on offline movie movie in a powerpoint, but I want to have it online. Any and all help would be appreciated.

Rendering HD Video Correctly for Flash (CS3 version)

Hi everyone,
For the LIFE of me I cannot figure out what the "magic selections" are for converting my HD video into a flash mp4 video are. I can get the mp4, but flash doesn't like it.
Before I continue, here are the specs:
Programs:
Premiere Pro CS3
Flash Professional CS3
Equipment:
Canon XHA1s HD camcorder, recording at 1080p @60i
Problems I am facing:
I can convert using the H.264 codec to create a HD mp4 file, but flash will not play it.
My Workflow:
Okay, I will start from the beginning.
-I start a new project in Premiere.
-I select "HD1080i 60i" as my format.
-I capture video off of the camcorder in premiere.
-The video looks great, and is definately in HD quality. I pull the captured video into my source pane, then set my in and out points.
-I insert those points into my program pane.
-I export my video using adobe media encoder.
-I select H.264 as my format.
-I select a custom preset.
-I make the size of my frame half the size of the original file.
-I set the framerate to 30.
-The TV standard is set to NTSC.
-Then I open Flash CS3.

-When I preview my video file, an error message pops up saying that the URL has to be an fla file!
Ugh...
ALSO my files are absolutely HUGE!!! this file for instance became about 86 megs!! Is there any way to downsize without loosing a huge amount of quality?
SO...if you want to try to correct me, be my guest. OR if you just have a way of doing it that works please, do share! I'm getting pretty frustrated with this thing...

If you're trying to create a flash video, you need to create an FLV not an MP4. While H264 is readable by the latest versions of Flash, the normal extension for h264 Flash is F4V. MP4 in CS3 is primarily used to create blu-ray or perhaps XDCam files.
Why not output FLV and be done with it?

How to get a video into Keynote

I am using a PC with iTunes, I have all the videos synced to my iPad, i have purchased Keynote and with some hard work got my ppt into Keynote. I wanted to add a video to it but I dont see how to do it. Can i still do it using a PC? Help!

Since your on a Window computer the only way I can think of is to place the video in a Power Point and import that into the iPad. Open the Power Point in keynote and then copy the video into your keynote presentation. The video will have to be in a format that the iPad supports.
Video formats for the iPad:
H.264 video up to 720p, 30 frames per second, Main Profile level 3.1 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps per channel, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) up to 35 Mbps, 1280 by 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, audio in ulaw, PCM stereo audio in .avi file format.
