Headstart Foundation (qfd0000f) fails with FRM-92101

We are migrating all software (rdbms, ias, designer, headstart, cronacle) to new servers. While testing the Headstart url's the Headstart Foundation crashes with a FRM-92101.
Headstart Administration and Utilities work fine.
In the Java-console the following error regarding RegisterWebUtil.class appears:
http://sol302.brabantwater.nl:7779/forms/java/oracle/forms/webutil/common/RegisterWebUtil.class with no proxyload: class oracle.forms.webutil.common.RegisterWebUtil not found.java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: java.io.IOException: open HTTP connection failed.
Any ideas?

BTW, I've also tried these two variations (among others), with no success. I can't figure out if the delimiter should be a space of &. Other variations included paramform=no.

  • EGrace AIM invoice form is failing with FRM-92101

I had a form named AIM invoice form; it contains all AIM invoices. In the form there are five different sub forms called “Header, Items, Texes, Terms, and Messages”.
When ever I search a specific invoice it will shows the header details of invoice. Then when I press the ‘next tab’ it will show invoice details in all sub forms like: Items, texes, Terms …
But I had an issue when I query invoice and directly to go Items sub form without press ‘next tab’ getting the following error:
“FRM-92101: There was a failure in the forms server during start up. This could happen due to invalid configuration. Please look into the web-server log file for details.”
Then the form automatically is closing, again asking to login.
Can any one please let me the right approach to sort out this issue?

release transfer should work by steps what have you followed only requirement is to have create the similar namespace in the target software component first and then do the release transfer.
one thing just try unchecking the target SWCV (original objects option at down it should work then)
1.To release objectse from one SCV to another you need to follow the following procedure.
    Login to Integration Repository.
Click on Tools -> Release Transfer. You can select the source & target interface or select individual objects if you want..
If you need further clarifications do let us know.
2.you may not have authorization to use Release Transfer so i would suggest use copyobject option to copy from one SWCV1 to SWCV2. right click on source select cop option change the SWCV
Select the namespace under your SWCV. Go to Tools->Release Transfer.
It will transfer all the objects under this namespace to the specified SWCV.
For reference plese see the following documents:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/93/a3a74046033913e10000000a155106/frameset.htm

    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/18/23078bdbd241f08efb3e36cf10c9d0/frameset.htm
Or else you can select individual objects under the namespace and right click on the object and select Copy Object. You will get a dialog box where you can select the new location where you want to copy this object.

  • Help: Got really frustrated with FRM-92101

    Hi,
I am working on a project of a set of FORMS. For an unknown reason some of FORMS turning to make FRM-92101: A failure has occurred on the server. You will need to reestablish your session.
The problem not occur at the begining and it could occur on a button pressed or DML on a field. I am kind of certain the FORM and the associated code should have no problems.
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you in advance.
    Jimmy

    Hi ,

This type of error occur whenever there is an error in the specified working directory.

"Unable to switch to working directory <working directory>"
    in the application.log file.
Hope , the above will help

Hi Biswajit et. al., thanks for your help thus far, it is greatly appreciated...
Unfortunately I had already disabled the NIC's on both hosts.  They currently remain disabled.  I've just tried turning off IPv6 as well and no luck.
PortQry came back fine (I think) :)

  • FRM-92101 on client machines after physical move to new building

I'm relatively new to IAS (1.0.2.2.2a), Portal (3.0.9.8.5), Forms (6.0.8.25), etc. We recently moved most of our employees to a new building. The web server and DB server remains at the old location. External internet users continue to access the portal and Forms application successfully. Our Intranet users can access the portal. But after the Forms app URL is selected, the application login/mainmenu fails with FRM-92101: A failure has occurred on the server. You will need to reestablish your session.
The java console display on my workstation:
Forms Applet version is : 60825
oracle.forms.net.ConnectionException: Forms session <1,102> aborted: unable to communicate with runtime process.
         at oracle.forms.net.ConnectionException.createConnectionException(Unknown Source)
         at oracle.forms.net.HTTPNStream.getResponse(Unknown Source)
         at oracle.forms.net.HTTPNStream.doFlush(Unknown Source)
         at oracle.forms.net.HTTPNStream.flush(Unknown Source)
         at java.io.DataOutputStream.flush(Unknown Source)
         at oracle.forms.net.StreamMessageWriter.run(Unknown Source)
Anyone have any idea on how to begin chasing this down?

Thanks for the response. I've worked several days with with my Network IT dept to resolve this issue. So far, they see nothing. They opened up the firewalls completely with negative results. Network tracing has revealed nothing. I discovered workstation DNS calls from the server didn't work any longer after the move to the new building. That has been resolved with no effect on the Forms call. I have increased all the recommended timeout parameters per Note 204446.1. No impact. My failure is immediate when calling the form from my portal. It's as if workstation sessions are being rejected by the the Forms servlet process or the network. Any ideas on what else to look at?

  • TIF images not displayed (FRM-92101)

    (SR 7047226.992)
    Environment
    Forms 10.1.2.0.2 DB 9.2.0.7
    Forms 10.1.2.3 DB 10.2.0.1.0
We have problems viewing a small number of TIF files in a form. All of these TIF files are generated in exactly the same way by the same program, and have the same attributes.
They are saved in the DB (as blob) and opened in a simple form in an image filed.
There are 3 kind of images:
    - good.tif - this displays correctly in the form
    - bad.tif - this normally displays, then when another action performed in the form will crash the forms session with FRM-92101
    - no_display.tif - this does not display in the form, but also does not crash the forms session.
If I open the image in Image Viewer and save it and load it into the database, that always works.
What is wrong with those images?

It is likely that although you may believe the images are all exactly the same, they are probably not. For example, Forms does not support multi-page images. This is common with fax images. Other things not supported by Forms are most compression formats. This applies to all image formats including JPG, TIF, etc. Forms also does not support GIF files with transparent backgrounds. Any format which include EXIF data is also not supported. For images which originated from a digital camera, the likelihood of EXIF data being embedded is high, as this is very common.
These are just a few areas which can cause problems. There are others. In short, Forms has very limited support for images.
I would recommend that you look closely at the following:
    1. What is the file size? Do only small files work correctly?
    2. Does the image contain multiple pages? You will need a viewer capable of exposing multipage images in order to determine this.
    3. What compression type is used to create the image, if any? Again, an imaging editing or viewing tool that supports exposing this information will be necessary.

  • FRM-92101: Load Balancing Forms 10g with Web Cache

    Hi,
I´m having some problems with Oracle Forms and Webcache 10g and I was wondering if you
    could help.
Machines: (Pentium IV 2.6 GHz; 2GB RAM; 80GB HD)
    A. Red Hat Linux AS 2.1
Oracle AS 10g - Infrastructure Installation
    B. Windows 2000 Server - Service Pack 4
Oracle AS 10g - BI and Forms Installation (Using Infrastructure on machine A)
    C. Windows 2000 Server - Service Pack 4
Oracle AS 10g - BI and Forms Installation (Using Infrastructure on machine A)
I didn´t apply any Patchsets of Oracle AS 10g. My current version is 9.0.4.0 .
    Goal:
Use Oracle Webcache 10g on machine B for Load Balancing an Oracle Forms Application
    on machines B and C.
    Facts:
The Oracle AS 10g installation on the 3 machines was made without problems.
The Forms Applications are running without problems on both Forms servers in machine B and C.
    Symptoms:
I´m getting the following error when I try to acces the forms application through Webcache:
FRM-92101: There was a failure in the forms server during startup.
This could happen due to invalid configuration.
Please look in the web-server log file for details.
But, this error happens ONLY when BOTH OC4J_BI_Forms instances (machines B and C) are
    running.
When just one of the OC4J_BI_Forms is running everything works fine.
    Webcache Configuration:
I´ve followed Metalink note 207668.1: Configuring Web Cache as a Load Balancer for Application Servers
step by step to make the configuration of the following components:
    1. Configuration of the origin servers
    2. Configuration of Site definitions
    3. Configuration of Site to server mapping
After that, I´ve follwed the Metalink note 229900.1: Integrating and using Web Cache with Forms 9i for Load Balancing
step by step to make the configuration of the following components:
    4. Session Binding
Then I try to test the Load Balancing and I got the error FRM-92101 when both OC4J_BI_Forms
    instance were running.
I´ve searched Metalink and found note 268830.1: Webcache Won't Load Balance 2 Forms Instances.
Following the note instructions I did the following changes:
Added these lines at the end of HTTPD.conf (machine B):
    CookieTracking On
    CookieName myformscookie1
Added these lines at the end of HTTPD.conf (machine C):
    CookieTracking On
    CookieName myformscookie2
    In Webcache configuration:
I´ve Changed the default session binding from JSESSIONID to "ANY SET COOKIE" for the
    site's session binding.
But even after these changes I´m getting FRM-92101 error on the same conditions.
How can I solve this problem ?
    Thank you in advance.
    Marcus Santos.
    ([email protected])

Just ran into this problem last Tuesday, Nov.30 and applied the changes today.
My configuration is similar to yours: 9.0.4 web cache on machine A, 9.0.4 10gAS forms and reports standalone on machine B and C (not a cluster, no infra).
I appended the Cookie lines you mentioned in httpd.conf located in $ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Apache/conf in both machines B and C.
One important thing you may have missed. After changing httpd.conf in each 9iAS instance, you need to make the change known to dcmctl so issue:
    dcmctl updateConfig -ct ohs
Then do the following for each 9iAS instance and it should be ready for webcache:
    dcmctl stop
    dcmctl start
Setup Any-set-Cookie in webcache instead of JSESSIONID and the whole thing should now work. You can run a form through machine A which will load balance to either machine B or C (which can both be up). Then, try shutting down 9iAS on machine B or C and run a form again. They now all work.

    Raffy

Please help me if anybody has this problem before.
    Sergey

    Hi Sergei,
I've just finished a three day search for a FRM-92101problem, so I want to post my case, just in case it helps someone.
My case is similar to yours, in that you have a Forms 6i form migrated to 10g and deployed on Linux, although my problem was "very" specific, and thus very hard to find, this might give you some light.
I had a visual attribute that defined the property "Fill Pattern" as "none" applied to a canvas, and it deployed without any problem on 10gR2/Windows, but when deployed on Linux (10gR2/SUSE 9) it would abort the application getting a FRM-92101.
The solution in this case was just changing "none" to "Transparent".
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Miguel.

  • FRM-92101 - java exception - unable to  communicate with runtime process

We have a Forms application developed in Forms 10.1.2.0.2. One of our forms gives a unusual error. This error comes from any client machine we run the application.
Our menu form (menu.fmb), in it's ON-LOGON trirgger, calls a form called login.fmb. Login has a canvas where username, pwd and db is specified with Login an Cancel buttons.
Problem is with the EXIT_FORM build it. When the form tries to execute this built in we get the Dr. Watson type screen with 2 buttons (Details... and OK). The alert says
FRM-92101: There was a failure in the Forms Server during startup. This could happen
due to invalid configuration. Please look into the web-server log file for details. When we press the Details... button we get
    java exception
oracle.forms.net.ConnectionException: Forms session <> aborted: unable to
communicate with runtime processWe tried the "compile all" option as suggested by Note ID 444690.1 but no effect.
This question's ( http://tiny.cc/fpcfmw ) answer suggests to update the hosts files but it is not clear as to which hosts file (client, application server) and what information to put there.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

FRM-92101 means that the Forms runtime (frmweb.exe) crashed or could not be started. This has nothing to do with a network connection, unless your environment is configured with load balancing and session binding has not been enabled.
Given that you are using 10.1.2.0, this could be a bug which likely was corrected in a newer version. If you have a MyOracleSupport account, I recommend you patch to 10.1.2.3 (Patch ID 5983622). After doing so, I would further recommend that you install the latest Forms Bundle patch on top of that, as it includes a few fixes which may be related to your problem. See patch ID 9593176 and Note 1188127.1

I've installed webutil according with the webutil user's guide.

I have not made the configuration of the database with the webutil_file_transfer o webutil_db package becouse i don't need to use the file transfer utility.
I 've tested a simple form with webutil.pll and .obj subclass with the devsuite enviroment and with a server with AS 10g from two client browser pc and all work fine.
But after when i tried to test again the form it doesn't work in no pc client (with the server and eith the devsuite server).

    Who can help me ?

THe Java Console would indicate that you're not using the right CFG settings - you should see the WebUtil Initialisation messages
