You need to uninstall Acrobat 7, then download/install the version from the above link, and activate it with the serial number given there.

Seems like there is a problem in configuring your ADS RFC connection.
Go the transaction SM59 ( Maintain RFC connection ) there search for RFC Destination ADS of type G and test it.
If it doesn't works fine then report to your IT guy.

It's a mystery : I can't see if the product is activate or not.

Okay, I've just about had it with CS!@#$4....I am getting the above message every time I try to import an after effects compostions. Yes, I did upgrade to windows 7 not to long ago but I have already built a composition and even imported into into Premiere Pro CS4 with no problems. Now I get into the same project and try to link the AE comp. and it throws this message in my face. Just for one minute I wish I could change this program into a human being so I could throw it around the room for a while!! Ahhhhhhh!!! What's happening???!! Help Please!!???

Reloaded the entire suite and the problem is gone. When in doubt reload, it is sad that I've had to do this the number of times I have. Final Cut you are looking pretty sweet to me right now. Adobe get to work son! And get a call center back in the US! The only thing I get from your current call center is either one--someone telling me to read a document that has been sent to me 10 times or two-- hung up on....ahhhhhhhh!! Get it together!!

Unable to activate Adobe Acrobat 8

Hello,
I am unable to activate Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional, fully updated to 8.3.1 on two computers. Acrobat informs me that my computer is not connected to the internet, but it is. Phone activation does not work as the activation phoneline is no longer in service.
We have recently purchased two shrinkwrapped boxed copies of Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional as we use an ERP product that requires an older version of Acrobat.
Can you please let me know what we need to do?

Thanks, I have done all the necessary steps and there is nothing blocking activate.adobe.com. I have also spoken to Adobe support via chat and they've told me the activation server used for Acrobat 8 has been shut down so how am I supposed to activate the software when 1) the activation phoneline has been shut down and 2) the activation server has been shut down.
Seems incredibly bad form to me. I apprecate it's an older product but the policy cannot simply be to shut people out of installing older software on newer computers. The software was purchased retail and shrinkwrapped.

I too had the same issue and tried all the steps mentioned in the above document. But it failed. I contacted my IT guy who informed that there is no firewall enabled in the modem. I'm using a home pc.
Lately, I contacted your support team who performed the same steps again and did not resolve the issue. Finally one guy said do something called selective startup on my Windows 7. I'm uneasy with this. He said that it is a part of their troubleshooting steps and can enable them back. I said okay and did it which did not resolve this issue. At last he said to create a new admin account!!! I was not at all satisfied with this resolution but yes I did and it did work! But I'm greatly confused. What could have been the issue? I don't want to create a new account everytime I face this issue. So any possible reasons other than which are mentioned in the document?

Installed Adobe Pro X now unable to convert PDF - Missing PDFMaker Files

I installed the trial version of Adobe Pro X and now I am unable to convert a Microsoft Word.doc file to .pdf. The error message is 'Missing PDFMaker Files. Do you want to run the installer to repair mode?' I ran the installer, twice, with the same resulting error message. (Am currently using Windows XP Pro along with Microsoft 2003 - and will upgrade in the new year.) I searched this issue, and found the following:
To manage your Disabled Items list in a Microsoft Office application:
Open the Microsoft Office application (Word, Excel, Publisher).
Choose Help > About [the application name].
Click Disabled Items.
Select Adobe PDF from the list, and then click Enable.
Quit the Microsoft Office application, and then restart it.
However, there are no applications in the list, including Adobe.
I also tried this:
If the error message continues to appear after you enable Adobe PDF, check the security level for macros in Microsoft Word:
Choose Tools > Macro > Security.
In the Security dialog, click the Security tab.
Choose Medium or High.
Do one of the following:
If you chose Medium, then click OK.
If you chose High, then continue with steps 5 through 7.
Click the Trusted Publishers tab.
Check Trust all installed add-ins and templates.
Click OK.
And Adobe is already there, so no change here.
I have uninstalled the trial version, deleted what visible remnants I could find, restarted the computer, installed the trial version again and am getting the same error message.
Is there a solution to this problem? Or, should I just return to my Adobe Pro 7?

I've checked your account; I don't see any orders listed under the email that you use here in the forums. Did you use a different email address when you purchased your subscription?
That said, with an Acrobat subscription, you would log on to https://cloud.acrobat.com/acrobat to download Acrobat. Then, once you've installed it, you just need to be logged in with your Adobe ID (the email address that you used when you subscribed) and password to use your subscription.

Unable to activate my new IPhone 4s, response says activation server temporarily unavailable. Have tried continuously over last 4 hours, how long is reasonable before I seek alternative action? It tells me to keep trying!

If this is a brand new iPhone 4S, contact whoever you purchased
it from. If you got your iPhone 4S from other than Apple or an Apple
authorized reseller, your iPhone was most likely hacked or jailbroken
in the past and the update servers are sensing that.
If this is an iPhone that is new to you but purchased second hand,
it most likely was jailbroken. Return the iPhone, get your money back,
and purchase from Apple or an authorized seller.
If this is occurring because you just updated or restored your iPhone,
the iPhone has become relocked to the original wireless carrier. You need
to contact that original carrier to see if they offer unlocking and if you qualify.
What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>About=>Carrier?

Trying to open a large PDF and receive "an internal error occurred" with Adobe Pro. X

We have one user, she has Adobe Pro. X installed, that is having an issue opening a particular PDF that is 37 MBs in size. When she tries to open it up, she receives the "an internal error occurred" message. If she opens up another PDF that is in the same folder (all the PDFs is on the network share) that is smaller in size (less than 100 KB) it opens just fine. I checked for any Adobe updates and downloaded and installed the update(s) that it found.
After it's been patched, I rebooted and still have the same issue. Surprisingly nothing was found in my searches to help this....
Thoughts?

Did you get any errors during Acrobat installation?
If Acrobat is crashing during first launch then it might be an issue with licensing as well.
