Hello my ipod touch 4g has recently started needing restoring a lot in the past week i have restored it 3 times. But my ipod only needs restoring or says it does when i connect to my computer to charge it but when i unplug it everything works. Help please

- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod if you have not already tried that. If you still have the problem after that then it is very likely you have a hardware problem an an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
- Or maybe there is a problem with your cable or USB port/computer. Wehn you get the error again I would see if you have the same problem/error message with another cable and computer.

You probably have a 1G ipod. To get the latest iOS for that mode go to:

I have an ipod touch that just recently started to be unresponsive! It had a good amount of battery left and then all of a sudden it turned off and now will not turn back on even after 30mins of charging. no charging screen has appeared either. ive held down both the home n sleep buttons for 10secs or more and still nothing has happened. then i held down just the home button. still nothing and then i tried holding down the sleep/wake button for a couple seconds and still nothing has happened are there any other ways of turning my ipod back on or did it **** the bed and i should get a new one? thanks

For the past week I have not been able to send both simple and attached messages through my icloud e-mail.
The error reads: this message cannot be sent at this time. i have the latest version of Firefox, I have even changed my password in hopes that this would resolve the issue, but alas, it hasn't worked. I recently bought an Ipod touch 2nd gen, (Ebay). It's in great shape and seemed to be wiped clean.
When I connect (via windows computer) to Itunes with usb cord the Ipod icon shows, but the only function you can do is eject. When its in the upper right hand corner and you click on it all you get is a done button, when it's in the side bar right click and your only option is eject, left click has no effect. If I go to "file">devices it's as if there are no devices connected.
I purchased a song with Itunes on the Ipod itself, and it transferred to my library on the computer automatically .
I have an Iphone 5 and a nano that are still functioning with Itunes thru computer so I'm thinking the issue is with the Ipod touch. I've reset it several times, rebooted it, with no change.

I am trying to download through Itunes the news iOS 4.3.3 software to my Ipod touch 4th G. it starts downloading just fine, but when it gets about 200mg into the 600 mg file, it comes back with stopped (err= -3259) has anyone seen this??? I have tried downloading this at different times of the day, and have also tried it on different internet service providers ... still recieve same error msg...

Try paying attention to the Keyboard Viewer to see if any keys are being pressed that could be causing the sound to be muted. If it is, try it in another user to see if it is software that is causing the issue or if it is the actual keyboard that is having the issue.

My Ipod touch 2gen has problems locking up and not starting
I have a 2gen Ipod Touch that has locked up a few times lately when I was using it. Frozen.
Then some times it would not start at all when I tried to turn it on. .
So I made sure the software was updated and it was at 4.2.1 and it said it was up to date.
So I restored it but it locked up again and at times would not restart. I restored it again once I did get it restarted.
It is still having the same problem. Sometimes when I go to start it won't start so I rehold the two buttons again for 30 seconds and the apple logo appears.
Sometimes it starts with the white apple logo and sometimes it shows that the battery is red (very low).
It doesn't seem to do the same thing each time there is a problem. This has been going on for a week.
It just did it again and I tried to start it but it wouldn't take the 30 second boot so I plugged it in. It took several times of trying the 30second rebooting but finally it came on with white apple logo but then it said the battery was at 100%. Not low.
What do you think? Is the battery going bad or what?
I'm ready to buy a new battery and try to install that.Try here...
