Hello World JSP Page

We begin to use the Jdeveloper 11.1.2.2.0 today.
We would like to create a JSP page with string "Hello World."
First, we have challenge in "Choose Default Run Target" issue.
Thanks in advance
NY

We appreciate quick respond, ShayShmeltzer!
We created a new application using both in  the Fusion template  and the Java EE application template.
But we could not find the EAR file in the locations that deployment profiles pointed.
What do you think we did not make correctly?

  • Problem with a simple hello world JSP

    We have just installed WLS Express 7.0 (just downloaded) on a Solaris 8 server. Using the dmwiz.sh, we have created a new domain with a managed server. Both the Admin Server and managed server have started and are running. When I tried to load a sample web application (a war file that has a hello world JSP), I got a HTTP 500 internal server error in serving the hello.jsp page. This sample works fine in Windows WLS Express 7.0.
    Can someone please help? Thank you in advance.

    It seems the installation of the server worked fine as you were able to start
    the servers.
    You may try posting this message to the weblogic.developer.interest.jsp newsgroup.
    If you are
    not using the latest service pack, please try using that.

    Hi,
    From project settings Configuration->Development->Runner Java Option remove all the options with CACHE. That means if the value is
    -Xbootclasspath/p:C:\JDeveloper\jdevbin\jdev\appslibrt\ojdbc14.jar;C:\JDeveloper\jdevbin\jdev\appslibrt\nls_charset12.zip -DFND_JDBC_STMT_CACHE_SIZE=200 -DCACHENODBINIT=true -DRUN_FROM_JDEV=true -mx256m
    Change it to

    Hi Steffen,
    Just edit the context-root element in your EAR file application.xml, e.g.
      <context-root>
        Hello
      </context-root>
    and try deploying again.

  • SharePoint "Hello World" App showing blank page

    I have just created and deployed a "Hello World" app to test our SharePoint 2013 Appstore and run into a problem. The application has been uploaded to the store and can be added to a site, but when I click on the app in the site I get a blank page
    containing the following html:
    <html><head><META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" CONTENT="text/html; charset=utf-8"><meta name="Robots" content="NOINDEX " /></head><body></body>
                    <script type="text/javascript">
                     var gearPage = document.getElementById('GearPage');
                     if(null != gearPage)
                         gearPage.parentNode.removeChild(gearPage);
                         document.title = "Error";
                     </script>
                     </html>
    I think the issue is related to the way our SharePoint environment is ssl offloaded. We have set up AAMs for the web application the application store is set up on. Both this site and the app domain are being offloaded.
    We have applied SP1, which as far as I am aware contains the March update which allows the app store to work like this.
    Has anyone got any suggestions?
    Thanks

    Thanks for your reply Jerry,
    This problem is a reproduction of the same issue we were having in our production environment. We are trying to install a 3rd party application and it wasn't working. In order to troubleshoot, we have configured our test environment in the same way and created
    a blank app to test the app store in isolation.
    I have used a number of network tools to see if there's anything obvious there, but in terms of the request it seems to be going through fine - SharePoint is serving the blank page.
    We have had a dig in the logs and found the following entry:
    03/05/2015 09:13:34.20 w3wp.exe (0x06A4)
    0x0CCC SharePoint Foundation
    General aiz2a
    High Request for app scheme does not match the webapp's scheme for this zone. Request Uri: http://app-4de7650b52503a.appstore-tst2013.<our domain>.net/sites/apptest/SharePointApp1/Pages/Default.aspx?SPHostUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fdocs%2Dtst2013%2E<our

    Response Uri: https://docs-tst2013.<our domain>.net Site collection path: /sites/apptest.
    Which seems to be saying the incoming request was an http:// request when it was expecting https://
    SSL is offloaded in our environment so the request to the SharePoint server will be http:// from the NLB, and https:// from the client browser.
    We have AAMs for the web application the app store url points to with http:// as the internal url and https:// as the public url.
    Does this help?
    Thanks.

  • Retrieve values from a table of a JSP page in Servlet.

    Hello all,
    I am new in JSP servlet world, I want to create a grid on JSP page using Servlet.
    Suppose i have some records in a JSP page and This JSP page will display these records in a tabular form. And, on a button click that table data should be
    accessible in servlet,
    Now, How can i traverse among all the rows of that table of JSP page in servlet. or How can i retrieve a specific cell record of that table of JSP page in servlet.
    Can anyone please answer this.
    Thank you and regards.

    Hi,
    Create in your HTML form inputs with the same name i.e.:
    <input name="a[]" value="2" >
    <input name="a[]" value="9" >
    In your jsp page use :
    String Values[] = request.getParameterValues("a[]") ;
    This will give you a string array of two elements.
    for (int x = 0; x < Values.length; x++)
        System.out.println(Values[x]) ;
    }Will print :
    2
    9
    Hope this helps.

    As the [HTML specification|http://www.w3.org/TR/html401/interact/forms.html] states, you should be setting the enctype to multipart/form-data to be able to upload files to the server. In the server side, you need to process the multipart/form-data binary stream by parsing the HttpServletRequest#getInputStream(). It is a lot of work to get it to work flawlessly. There are 3rd party API's around which can do that for you, such as [Apache Commons FileUpload|http://commons.apache.org/fileupload] (carefully read the User Guide how to use it).
    You can also consider to use a Filter which makes use of the FileUpload API to preprocess the request so that you can continue writing the servlet code as usual. Here is an example: [http://balusc.blogspot.com/2007/11/multipartfilter.html].

    Hi Pawan,
    Thanks for your information. It was problem with my pom.xml It started to work after changing my POM.xml
    I am not able to get sling service for TestServiceImpl. But I am only able to create TestService which is my interface. I need to get reference for TestServiceImpl class not for TestService interface. Please help me to make it.
    i have created TestServiceImpl and TestService class for testing whether my bubdle is crating all the folder structure or not.
    But my requirement is like assume class A has some methods like getMenuLink, setMenuLink.. And In class B i am calling some methods in class A and doing some manipulation in createLink method.
    Here class B does not have any interface. Not implementing  any interface. But I need to get class B refererence via sling.getService.
    I know that if we are using maven SCR plugin..we need to have @component, @service. And All java classes are not services. Will it work if I add activate, deactivate method in class B?
    Could you please tell me how to proceed next?
    Thanks,
    Anderson

    Sid,
    1) Check your using the correct version of Jdev with your instance.
    Metalink note 416708.1 - How to find the correct version of JDeveloper to use with eBusiness Suite 11i or Release 12
    Will give the mappings.
    And check the Jdev setting
    330236.1 - Configuring JDeveloper For Use With Oracle Applications 11i and R12
    2) Instead of using the tutorial, create a sample page, Am and run the page.
    Check what error you are getting.
    Thanks.
    With Regards,
    Kali.
