Help - 6280 Memory Loss
Hi,
I am hoping someone can help me.
I've got a 6280 and have the usual problems that most people get with them.
I've got another problem with it.. The phone memory is disappearing fast.
According to the memory status I have used 114.2kb
I only have a Free memory of 4.0kb
Messaging 8.8kb
Applications 96.0kb
Bookmarks 9.5kb
Where is my memory going? I can barely store a text message on it (I used to be able to store over 200)

Whatever you do, do NOT upgrade to iCloud Drive, keep iCloud till OS X Yosemite comes out, if your computer is a Mac. I also just noticed that all my documents on my phone are gone from Pages, BUT if I go on the iCloud website they are still there. Hopefully it will all work itself out when I can update my macbook pro to OS X Yosemite.
If you backed up your phone and all your purchases off your iPhone prior to trying to upgrade you should be fine... But I'm not even remotely sure. -
New to Oracle - could really use help with memory configuration
I'm new to Oracle and am assuming the support role on a system that is using Oracle 8.1.7 as the database server and need help with memory configuration.
The server is being used with FileNet and we're having issues while trying to purge logs (purge never completes) and the disk drive activity LED is on almost solid. My guess is is that it's not using enough/doesn't have enough memory therefore constantly reading off the disk and going too slow to finish the purge between nightly backups in which the database service is stopped.
The server is running on Windows 2000 Server SP4, has 1G of RAM and is dual-Xeon processor.
Any help or starting point references would be greatly appreciated.Hi ...
You can use a StatsPack for guess the best distribution memory with your DB needs.

i have a nokia 6234 and now i don´t have the same internal memory...free memory 196kb, sms 32.2kb, aplications 253kb and "others" 24.8...i don´t know what to do to restore the memory...can anyone help?
u could try resetting factory settings but this would lose all your info. r u aware that your memory will fall dependent on how much info u have used????

I have just got my nokia 6280, im trying to send an mms and i get an error msg saying memory temporary full try again later...can't see why my memory would be full as i have only downloaded 1 song onto it, can anyone help me?
My wife had a similar problem with her 6280 after downloading a tune from a pc to the phone and trying to take a photo. The only way we were able to sort the problem was to delete the song. After that, the camera was able to take photos

Hi apple community - I'm at a loss.... Can someone please help me with my memory management? My computer has become so slow lately. I've read a bunch of forums and can't seem to find anything that helps. I can't find a pattern to the slowness other than when I use big files in Photoshop it slows down quite a bit, but I assume that's normal when you're editing photos that are around 1GB... My computer doesn't really seem to be releasing inactive memory at all. Once it goes inactive, I can close all the programs I want but it never becomes free. I tried applications like "Free memory" and they worked but it's not really fixing the problem and when I do re-open stuff it takes FOREVER so I didn't really like using those. I attached a screen shot of my activity monitor... Any help would be much appreciated... thanks!
Simple fact is it looks like you have every program ever installed on your system open all at the same time.
Post how Many Processes are running. I bety it is well over 100.
Sure 8GBs is plenty of RAM IF you actually shut down, QUIT, Programs you are done using them.
Just from the SS you posted you have Spotify, Numbers, Pages, Skype and Safari all open and running, let alone what isn't shown in that SS. And now you open Photoshop and load a Large Image and you expect the system to just fly. Not going to happen. The whole Apple Mac thing of not shutting down programs when you close the last Windows that is open on the desktop has always been IMHO Very Stupid. In this Respect Windows has OS X beat Hands Down (alone with other feature that are just done better in Windows). You Click the X and the window and program close which frees up the RAM and all resources that program was using.
So Shut some of that Stuff Down. System will get faster. -
Help required Memory Upgrade on MS-6178
I have a 3 year old Tiny PC with a Intel 600 and running 128 Mb of memory (double sided) at 100Mhz. The motherboard is MS-6178.
I recently purchased 128Mb (single sided) of additional memory to upgrade to 256Mb. The problem I have is that the new memory only reads as 64Mb therefore, showing only 192Mb instead of 256Mb
I have tried branded and unbranded memory and it is still shows 192Mb.
Is there any way round this. anyone's help would be very much appreciated. ;(find an older ram thats double sidded like first

Your notebook can be upgraded up to 2 GB and compatible RAM is DDR2-400/533 1GB (PA3411U-1M1G).

Need Help with Memory OC to 1066 on P35 Platinum Combo
Hi,
I've been trying to get my Corsair Dominator memory to 1066, but everytime I change settings, the system will not post. So far I've:
- Disabled EIST & DOT
- Disabled 'Configure DRAM Timing by SPD' and set values to 5-5-5-15 (left all others as is)
- Processor reports 333x9
- Set ratio to 1:1.6.7 bringing adjusted timings to 1109. I also have 1:1.2 for 1332 & 1:1.50 for 999
- Memory voltage set to 2.1
Not sure where to go from here as other MS reported here seem to have different settings than the P35 Platinum Combo.
Specs are:
- Intel E8400 3.0GHz Dual Core (45nm)
- MSI P35 Platinum Combo
- Sapphire Radeon HD 3870 512MB GDDR4
- Xigmatek NRP-MC651 650W Modular PSU
- Corsair Dominator 4GB 1066 DDR2 RAM (PC2 8500)
- Samsung 22X DVD Burner
- Lexa Blackline Case

10.4.11 - help upgrading memory

I have a 2006 imac (I believe it is considered early, but I purchased it in May 2006). I've always had one memory slot empty and 1GB of memory in the other. This past May my hard drive crashed and I replaced it, and now I'm starting to notice that it has been running slowly, especially when using iphoto, and so I would like to add 1GB of memory to the empty slot. I tried purchasing memory from the apple store, but they no longer have memory for my model and I'm not really sure how to find the correct memory for my computer. Here is the overview:

Limited experience with them, & likely their IntelMac RAM is OK.
The guy at the store told me it is closest in quality to memory directly from Apple.
Of the RAM I've had go bad, all but one stick was original Apple RAM, to be fair when they come out with new models they're generally using the newest/latest/fastest at that point, & manufacturing may not have production down pat until later.

No, SL defaults to what we used to call Archive & Install, which preserves all your stuff, just new OS & new of some Apple Apps.
Just be sure to Open Disk Utility & Verify the Drive first, (not Verify Permissions).
I'm debating on whether to upgrade it or not because I love tiger, I'm just frustrated that I cannot buy a new ipod, an ipad, Adobe CS5 or the magic mouse because none of those things will run on Tiger.
Yep, if you need any of those things, SL is a must then, but I prefer Tiger myself & have no need of any of those. -
Please help! memory card password! I never set one...
I plugged in my memory card from my broken nokia e71 into a new nokia e6 and it asks for a password! I never set a password to begin with! is there some default code to override this? I really need my pictures off this sd card. please help.

Although you haven't knowingly set a password AFAIK it is possible to change it to new one using the remote lock feature.

I have tried specifying a value to shared_pool_size but with no luck..!! Pls help. I am not sure how to resolve this.Hi, ORA-4031 in this case can be caused by unrestricted growth of the PGA, thus forcefully reducing the SGA.
We've had this in the past also.
The solution is in older versions to increase the shared_pool_size as you mentioned but with ASMM, this is no longer an option. You can however retrict the growth of the PGA by setting SGA_TARGET.
On our system this now looks like:

Strange heavy memory loss (storage) when saving pdf dokument in Preview
This is already taking all of my day and I still havent got closer to a solution, so I really need some help!!
I am currently editing lots of pdfs and other files for notes.
There is one particular big file, ca. 300 MB (part of a book). When I edit this file in Preview (underlining etc.) and save my changes, I loose almost the whole size of the file in disk space (almost regardless of how much I change).
Saving 10 times, that equals ca. 3 GB. Since I am a diligent "back-upper", I loose ca. 3 GB every 90 minutes.
Over the last 3 days, this has consumed more or less 40 GB of my storage space.
I have restarted several times and had to delete a lot of files; the sleepimage file is ca. 1 GB big only, so that is not the problem;
so I have used "Disk Utility" to localize the massive space use.
But here comes the part that made me come here:
Disk utility registers the storage loss in total numbers (35 GB free, next time only 32 GB free), but not within the folders (the single sizes of the folders -Application; Library; User etc-), their sizes stay the same!
I looked through all the forums but I cant figure out what happened to my disk space.
I need some help, cause I need to restore those 40 GB they are being used by something completetly useless somewhere.

OutOfMemory-help on memory saving tips

I am fairly new with Java.
My software ran out of memory when I tried to process much more input than it had ever done before.
I realized that one of the problems was that it woudl have been a good idea to specify the size of the big ArrayLists I use to prevent them from allocating more memory than necessary. BTW, I already use the -Xms -Xmx options when running java.
Unfortunately, I can't see any other way of saving memory. I paste below the relevant sections of code where I think there are improvements to be made and my comments/questions. I would be really grateful if you could help me in this.
