Help!! can not get Java apps to run on Nokia 9210

Hi all,
I am creating a java application for the Nokia 9210. The .sis file seems to install correctly on the device, and the application appears in the Extras menu. However, when I open the application, it says "Loading Java..." and then "Starting Java..." but then nothing else happens! I have tried an example application from Nokia as well, but still the same thing.
Any help appreciated!
thanks,
Susie

U should have a .txt file along with the files u compiled into .sis one. Make sure that the line is :
-cp .\filename1.jar filename2.class

  • I can not get Java applets to run on my MAC

I am running OSX 10.9.1, Safari Mountain Lion 7.0.1 and have Java 7u51 and can not figure out how to get applets to run.  I am taking classes for work and they all use applets.  Any ideas how to enable applets?  Blogs have recommended using java preferences but I can't find that on my computer.

    Rivasrraa,
since you’ve installed Java 7u51, you should have a Java pane in System Preferences. When you select it, a Java Control Panel window will appear. In the Security tab of that window, you might need to set your security level down to Medium and/or add the applet site to the Exception Site List to be able to run your applets.

I can not get some apps to rotate to the landscape or horizonal position. Help !

Not all apps support landscape positioning. If you'll post the name of the apps you are having problems with, someone can probably tell you if that is indeed the case in your situation.

I don't get it... I have been using jdk 1.3.x for sometime... a year now. All seems fine with servlets and java applications I have created. What could be not there if all of this works?
If reinstall the jdk over top of where is is now, would that be of any help? I will copy my /ext jar files to a temp area first so I can keep my jar files.

You can't install any application which requires iOS 4.3 or newer on a first or second generation iPod touch. If you still have a copy of that application compatible with iOS 3.1.3 or 4.2.1, import it into the iTunes library and sync it.

  • Mac Proxy Server Software - can not find any app to run a Mac proxy server

Hi! Looking for an application that will run and manage a proxy server on my Mac. I am after something that does not involve programming, editing and using the console, something that is done through a simple, user friendly interface. I would need to run a proxy server for web access so that the client using the proxy could be seen as using the authenticated IP of the server machine. (To put it simple, I need to be able to log on to a site where authentication is done via IP as well as login / pass. My home machine is set up for access but I would like to be able to log in on the move with my laptop or from other machines. Unfortunately I can not get a static IP for my laptop and would like to run a proxy server on my home machine so I can log in remotely via the proxy server) I am after a software solution that will install and manage the proxy and gives me full control over setting access limitaions etc (i.e something safe, easy and reliable). I have ben searching for days but have not found anything for the Mac although there appears to be an abundance of such software for Windows . . . Any help would be immensly appreciated! I have a spare older Mac I could set up for this purpose and keep online all the time . . .

Would this do what you need?

  • HT4208 I tried to update apps, now I can not get any apps to download or update.  I've tried recommendations above, any other suggestions?  My Kindle was one of the apps I tried to update and now I can't even get into Kindle to read anything.  Help

Please help, I updated some apps, I pressed update all, now I can not open or use those apps, they just say waiting.  I have deleted some and tried to download again with no success, also tried to download different app with no success.

    1. Check iTunes and see if you have a pending/stalled download e.g. Podcast, Books, Music, Movies or iTune U. Finish off the download and you should be able to update.
    2. Check for Updates (bottom right) in iTune. When download is completed, sync to iPad.

  • Can't get Java page to run

I am probably in the wrong place here, and for that I apologize. We use a program at our school called Power School which is on-line. In order to enter student marks, one accesses a page which is generated by Java. Since I purchased this new computer, I have been unable to access the gradebook. For a while, I was getting an Run Time error, so I installed the Run Time Environment. Then a Big Math error appeared after I finished the installation. So I reinstalled Jave (JRE - 6 u 11) and now I am getting the error about connection shown below. No one at the school can figure it out or get the program running. Can anybody help me, out there?
Here are the details of the error. It says "Encountered Connection Error, see your adminsitrator" I can get on-line just fine, and my administrator has no idea what the problem is and so cannot fix it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like a configuration problem to me. Perhaps there's some place where you set up the options which tell the program how to connect to the Internet (because it looks like that's what it's trying to do). If so, browse through there until you find some settings involving "proxy" or something like that. Find somebody else who is using the program and see what they have for those settings.
Or call the support line for the product, if there is such a thing?
Edit: I see the product comes from [http://www.powerschool.com/]. There's a Contact Us link on that page. Actually two of them.
