Help! Can not sync iphone using B570 laptop
Hello all,
I recently purchased a B570, and can not get it to recognize my iphone. When the iphone is plugged in via the usb port, it shows up, but I can not actually transfer any files to it. I seem to have read that you can solve this problem by doing something to the BIOS, but I am not tech-savvy enough to try that. Any ideas?

Was not able to sync my iphone 3gs & received this error:
"The iPhone cannot be synced. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation"
Problem was resolved when I updated to most recent iTunes.thx much, it worked and i can now sync my ipod touch fine.
Maybe you can help me with another issue i'm having with itunes album D/L of Sgt. Peppers album purchase. I got nowhere with iTunes support, but everytime i click on "check for available downloads" from the Store menu in itunes, i get the following error: -

Some items in itunes library including"Just like Heaven" Part 3 of 3 were not copied to the iphone because you are not authorized to play them on this computer.
Help!!! I have never had this problem before. What is up?Try double clicking on the file that will not sync and try to play it in itunes.
You should get an alert asking for your id and password.
Once your computer is authorized then try syncing.

The release of iTunes 11.0.2 and iOS 6.1.2 for my iPhone 4, seems to have sorted everything. I can now sync music, films and photos between my MacBook and my phone.
I was dubious about blindly doing the updates but decided they couldn't really mess up any further functionality so I went for it and it's sorted now.

Syncing should transfer any purchased media, including videos, from your device to your iTunes library provided your computer is authorized for the Apple ID used to make these purchases. You mentioned that you have uninstalled iTunes before, but if you didn't follow this guide exactly, uninstalling iTunes and all of its components in the order specified, it may not have been successful so you should try again: Windows XP or Windows Vista/7.

I've had a fault with the hard drive on my laptop, it's been replaced and now my iphone and ipod can not sync unpurchased items with itunes. Is there anyway of sorting this without uploading all of my CD's again?

If you resintall iTunes, it should fix the issue. The following document will go over how to remove iTunes fully and then reinstall. Depending on what version of Windows you're running you'll either follow the directions here:

I for the first time since buying my iphone and ipods for almost three years am concedering getting rid of them as I am getting tired of this problem. I can sync anything from my computer to the iphone. I can not sync movies bought on the iphone to my computer. I have tried everything and spent days trying to trouble shoot. I literally have bought hundreds of movies off Itunes but will not buy any thing else until I can figure this problem out. I have uninstalled Itunes reinstalled, troubles shooted using the itunes trouble shooter and reset my phone and nothing works.
When I try to sync from my phone to the computer it says it can not be done because the iphone is not hooked up to the computer. I have only had these problesm since the new update not before. I have bought new cables twice to see if it helped and has not. Both my kids have Ipods, I have a Iphone and was planning on buying two Ipads for the kids for Christmas but not if I can fix this.You are correct. Is your iPhone connected to your computer using the lightning cable or are you doing WiFi sync?
Sometimes the iPhone doesn't show up in the side bar if you're using WiFi syncing, if its not working, then be connected to your WiFi on your phone and on your computer (Same network) let me know how it's going, if it doesn't work still. Turn your phone off and on again and put in your pass code then try to sync it (keep your phone unlocked and not in sleep mode) tel me if it appears in the side bar. -

If your MacBook Pro has an Intel processor and at least 1gb or RAM, you can upgrade your machine to the minimum operating system requirements for use with iTunes 11.

I can not sync my iPhone after restoring it - my computer only gives me the restore (again and again and again) option. I have no music and only a few aps now on my iPhone. Any tips before I go to the genius bar?
If you restored as new, without using a backup, and still only get an option to restore, there is a hardware problem or the phone was previously hacked (jailbroken, downgraded iOS, unauthorized unlock). Your only option is to take it to Apple or whoever provides iPhone service in your country.

I'm not sure that recovery mode works when you have to trust the computer, but did you try it?
If you can't update or restore your iOS device - Apple Support
If that won't work, perhaps you can use Find my iPhone from a computer in your iCloud.com account to erase the device.

This has nothing to do with the Find my iPhone app being installed on the phone, but you do have to have Find my iPhone activated in the iCloud settings on the phone.
