Help: Connecting JDeveloper 9.0.2 with Oracle9i Lite

Hello, everyone on OTN!
I have installed Oracle 9i Lite and then JDeveloper 9 on WinXP Pro machine. When I was trying to create a new connection using Oracle Lite
JDBC 4.0 driver and testing the connection I've got the
following message :
"Unable to find driver oracle.lite.poljdbc.POLJDBCDriver"
After adding a row :
"AddJavaLibFile ../../MOBILE/CLASSES/olitejdbc40.jar"
to <JDEV>/BIN/jdev.conf file this error message disappeared, but I've got a new one:
"no oljdbc40 in java.library.path".
I was trying with
"AddJavaLibPath ../../MOBILE/Sdk/bin"
in the same file (there is a really place where is oljdbc40.dll situated), but this doesn't work.
Please, help me with this problem.

Try replacing
"AddJavaLibPath ../../MOBILE/Sdk/bin"
with
"AddNativeCodePath ../../MOBILE/Sdk/bin"
The AddJavaLibPath directive is for adding a directory to the classpath' AddNativeCodePath adds a directory to the native path.

Hello,
I assume GBS Agency Expert 6.7.6c is some sort of database or data source? If you have an ODBC driver then create or use a System DSN to the database. Then you can create a report using that DSN.
Otherwise I suggest you contact the makers of GBS Agency Expert 6.7.6c and ask them how to connect to the database.
Let them know CR is ANSII 92 ODBC 3 compliant.

Hi....
A network HUB is a network device that is used to connect multiple computer so that they can share the resources. In more general way a hub can be defined as a common connection point for devices in the network.
There are hubs that can be managed by an administrator. In case of NH1005 it is not a manageable HUB. Connect the devices to the HUB and if the devices are properly configured they will communicate with each other.

Help connect X-fi Elite Pro with DDTS-100 and Gigaworks s750

I purchased a brand new Gigaworks s750 speakers system, DDTS-100 decoder and X-fi Elite Pro. I connected the DDTS-100 and Elite Pro using Optical Fibre output from the audio console of X-fi Elite Pro to the optical digital input of DDTS-100. With the cables supplied with s750, I connected it to the Decoder DDTS-100. The problem is I am not getting any sound from the rear speakers and the front speakers. Only the centre speakers and the side speakers are producing sound. I could hear loud hissing sound and very very low volume of the music from the front speakers and no sound from the rear speakers. I can hear good quality sound from the centre speakers and average quality sound from the side speakers. What could possibly have gone wrong with my setup ? Somebody please help me. Thanq for your response. But unlike what you have mentioned, ("what may be happining is the soundcard is decoding the signal and then the ddts is trying to decode it with disatrous results"), In my setup the signal is not getting decoded two times, once by Soundcard and once by the DDTS-100. As I have mentioned that I am taking out an Optical Signal from the sound card to the DDTS-100, the signal comming out from the sound card to the DDTS is Encoded signal only. So there doesnt arise a chance that the signal is getting decoded twice. Can you think of any other reason why my setup is not working? Please let me know.

Help connect my new Mac Mini with my stubborn HP Printer!

I just got a used, but cleaned up Mac Mini. My HP Deskjet 6980 printer, worked flawlessly with my old G4. Right out of the box, i didn't need to install a driver, i just hooked up the USB ( most simple of the 3 connection options), and it worked fine. Now that i have a new Mac Mini, i hooked it up, it recognizes the HP printer in System Prefs, but when i try to print i just get page after page of strange code. I installed the printers' installatin cd (which, i didn't even need on my first computer), and It still won't print. Again when i hit "print"... just endless code.
What can I do. I am not totally computer computer literate or familiar with all the terminology, so please, keep it simple. Thanks so much for your help.

You don't say, but first thing we need to know is whether you have a G4 Mini or and Intel Mini. (Intel Mini has 4 USB ports on back, G4 has 2 USB ports.)
If you have an Intel Mini, odds are you need to download the latest drivers for Mac OSX 10.4 (Tiger) from the HP site. The drivers on the old CD probably won't work right with an Intel Mac. And you may have to uninstall all the HP stuff you have already installed from the CD.

The process is transparent. I have done it before.
Now, it gives me an error message when I try Wi-Fi:
"There was a problem connecting to the network. Check your settings and try again.(5)"
When I try the ethernet cable connection it won't let me do automatic or custom.
I unplugged and replugged the Apple TV box but don't know how else to trouble shoot the lack of connectivity.

We're developing an app wich needs a lightweight database using VB6. So we started working with Oracle9i lite, and right at this point we're worriying about security :
- We have to use an ODBC driver, and it's seems easy to see DB user/password using a tracer (not only with the ODBC manager trace utility).
- We have encrypted the database (with ENCRYDB) but it doesn't ask for the encryption password anywhere after that ...?? and if the password is passed in the ODBC connection string ... it won't be very useful, well al least the .ODB file is encrypted.
Our app will run on all-stand-alone PCs.We think the main keypoints when we try to keep data safe from attacks are :
- Data encryption on the database to prevent direct file (.ODB) data browsing and copying.
- Database access only available from application, and security (user access) is controlled by the app, so only one user/password to access the database must be kept by the app (in a secure way).
- Traffic between application and database (or at least confidential data) must not be available to tracers, etc.
We would recieve very gladly any suggestions about this problems to help us take any decission.

Howdy. This information may come in a little late, but try using the CREATEDB utility that comes with 9i Lite. Just type createdb on your command prompt for syntax.

Is there a way to utilize the wizard for "Business Tier > ADF Business Components > Business Components from Tables" for SQL Server 2000, 2005 or 2008. I can successfully execute sql via java programmatically or import a table from SQL Server with "Business Tier > ADF Business Components > Entity Object" wizard, but the Business Components from Tables simply doesn't see any tables under any schema. Without the "Business Components from Tables", i don't get the referential constraints imported into the application and to code all those from scratch is just not as elegant. So far i have only utilized the sql server jdbc driver from Microsoft (versions, 1.1, 1.2 and 2.0). Is there an alternative client that i need to use to enable selecting tables from that "Business Components from Tables" wizard. Is this a limitation of SQL Server, the jdbc driver or the wizard itself? Did anybody else experience the same issues? I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.0.1 against SQL Server 2005 (currently)

I'm looking for some help connecting linksys IP Cameras to my home network to monitor my property when I'm travelling. I used to do this with linksys WAPS, but since I've discarded all my old linksys networking and standardized on airport, I can't get these things working. I know that I have to identify my camera through the DHCP table and set up port forwarding and there is the problem.
My network consists of 4 base stations set up in a roaming network - same network name and passwords. I need to do it this way so I don't have to switch network when I move from one side of the house to the other, go to the cabana, or my shop in the barn. The network works pretty well since I went to a roaming set up. Good performance, yata, yata, yata.
However, the roaming network requires the AEBS's to be set up in bridge mode, rather than sharing an ip address. When the AEBS is set to bridge mode, you don't see a DCHP table or have the ability to identify your IP Cam through the AEBS - and hence, no port forwarding.
I am able to identify and set up my Linksys IP Cam by locating the ip address on my FIOS router, even though, it's plugged into an AEBS. I set it up, see the video, remove the ethernet cable from the IP Cam, restart - and I can't get to it from an AEBS. In researching this, it appears, I should be setting up the AEBS to "share an IP Address", going to the DHCP table and identifying the camera's IP address and setting up port forwarding. However, you don't see any of the DHCP or port forwarding options in Airport Network Utility when configuring in bridge mode.
I'm hoping I'm missing something here and that the solution isn't to set it up at the FIOS router level, but I'm beginning to think that's my only hope. What concerns me there is that I should be able to see the IP cam on the network without port forwarding since I'm not coming from outside, and I can't even do this unless it's connected hard wire.
I'd appreciate any insight into this that anyone might have. I've hit the wall with what I know.

In a roaming network, your "main" router is the device that would require port mapping/forwarding to be configured in order to access the IP camera from the Internet. This router is also the one that would be provide the private IP address for the camera which you will want to be a static one.
So as you described your network, the IP cameras should be getting an IP address or you assigned it a static one and this is the address that you would enter in the Private IP address (or equivalent depending on the router used) field when setting up port mapping.
If you are not able to access this camera from the local network, then this should be troubleshot first.

YOur phone is in recovery mode, any data that was on there is already gone, you will have to restore your phone and use whatever backup you to restore to.

That is not good but lets see if we can get it back to life. If you can, see if you can put your iPhone into recovery mode and then use iTunes to restore it. If you can get it to restore, it will erase everything off your iPhone. If you have a back up in iTunes or iCloud then you can put that on after the restore is complete. I have no issue using cellular data when I remote in from my iphone with the RD client.
