I WANT TO PUT ADDITINAL FIELD WITH DROPDOWN...
I CAN PUT ADDITIONAL FIELD BUT I DONT KNOW HOW CAN I DO WITH DROPDOWN...

OTHERTHING I WANT TO CHANGE THE TEXTFIELD OF STANDARD INFOTYPE..
I MEAN 2 SAY CHANGE TEXT 'BIRTHDATE' TO 'DATE'..

1) to check how to bring values to a dropdown please refer the standard demo report programs in se38
a)DEMO_DROPDOWN_LIST_BOX
b)demo_dynpro_dropdown_listbox.
2)We need to understand that if the field label 'BIRTHDATE' is from a standard screen then the approach is to go to that particular screen ...delete the text and put our own text there as 'DATE' ..otherwise if the field is a custom field we can change the name in the field level or domain level

Other thing what you can do is
1. First create a Table type.
Goto SE11-> Dataelements ->Table type
There on the next screen select Predefine radio button & there provide data type & size.
2. Create a structure having a field typa of Table type created before. say that field is quant.
Now in your program refer that structure to create an internal table & work area.
Now if u append ur text to the field quant.
try creating line type of size more that 255 if it works then fine other wise reduce it.
Note:: This will be a deep structure.
so first append value to the field quant, the at the end of first record append valu to ur internal table.

Search help for a field with no dictionary reference

Hi!
I have created a serchhelp (see se11)
there are two included search helps nested. Each one
has it own serch help exit. First search help has two
fields and one of them is a character field (CHAR030).
It hasn't a reference dictionary table in that case.
How can I assign a search help esspecially for this field.
Its values are stored inside a internal table.

How to compare table's date field with dropdown year field

Hi All,
I have one requirement to display the selected rows from a database table based on the selection of drop down.
Here, I have one dropdown of year(like 2009,2010,....) and I have one database table which contains one field with "DATE".
Now, I want to compare table's DATE field with my dropdown field.
Problem is that table's DATE field is of type "DATS" and dropdown is of type INTEGER(or) STRING ...
How to compare this fields?
Can any one please give me solution for this...!

Search help for custome field with different data type

Hi Friends,
I have Created a custom table in which i have created a field is
ZMATLONG which stores material number.
Now the data element is zdmat which is of char 40..
Now i want to give search help for this field ZMATLONG..
I have tried many ways giving search help to this field
a) i Tried to attach the standard search help of MATNR ie : MAT1 but its showing me data type inconsistancy
b) i created a zsearch help and in the selection method i have used database table mara , again here iam getting the same error data type inconsistancy...
Now how can i give the search help like matnr field to my custom field ZMATLONG...
How can i do it..?

Hi,
MATNR ahs length 18 and ZMATLONG has length 40.So due to this u cannot use MAT1 search help.
best way would be cope MAT1 into Z search help. Then in the search help parameter change the data element of field
MATNR as ZMATLONG.
Now if you assign Z search help to ZMATLONG it will work.
I tried this its working fine.

I am an XI certified consultant with some self learning of abap and basis also. Because our company is small I am the only person incharge of our SAP work. So that is the reason I am using SDN's help in getting many of my questions answered and people have been very helpful here.
One of the members had suggested to use VARC type, but when I try to use it, it said that this is not supported anymore.

Is there a way to create a field with total pages viewed?

Is there a way to create a field for a contact that stores the total # of pages he has ever viewed? We'd like to use this as a bases for lead scoring.

Please don't use big red text. There's no need to do so - it won't be more attention and in fact may put people off of helping - and it's really difficult to read.
Adding to what JG said, you can also purchase a prepaid iTunes card, available from most grocery store and discount chains in the US and other countries, and use that. You will need to enter in your address information, but you won't need a credit card.

Help creating a report with Financial Reporting Studio.

Im new at Financial Reporting Studio so my question might be something very easy, for beginners.
Im trying to create a report with two columns where in each column there is the year dimension. In the first column there is the current POV for year, but in the second column I would like to set the prevoius year of the POV automatically, without using a prompt. Is there any function or way to do it?

Use the relative function.
The first column will be set to use the User POV.
For the second column... see the tab named "Functions". Select the function "RelativeMember". For the Member row - select User POV. For the offset enter -1... that will automatically select the prior year.

Getting this error while creating travel request with TRIP transaction code. Please help for an alternate way to create Travel request or help to resolve this issue.

Create additional field in sales order item and copy to purchase order item

Dear SAP Gurus,
I am hoping that someone could help me by providing me with how to implement the following 2 requirements in the SD order and in the purchase order.
1. I am wanting to add a custom field to the SD sales order item copying a value from the vendor customer master.
2. I then want to add a custom field to the purchase order item and copy the value from my custom field in 1. to this new custom field..
Can you please advise how I would go about implementing the above requirements? I am assuming that there are exits to allow me to implement these 2 requirements.

For the first requirement you can use the USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP in report MV45AFZZ.
For the second, as I think that you will create a RFQ you can try to use the enhancement MEREQ001.

Hi,
Where you want to add the search help, i mean in report or in screen painter.
In Screen painter, you can take the reference of Z-Data Element by Dictionary option in Screen layout.
If it is report, you can use F4 function module(F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUES) or can creat the elementary search help in DDIC and give it as MATCHCODE OBJECT in PARAMETER statement.

Rpt Escapes: B4 Form Values, I added a javascript that validates the entered date_ranges(date_from -- date_to) -- must not be > 30 days. If I used that javascript in one of the param fields (web_settings:: Additional HTML = onChange="show_alert(this.form)") -- it works. but I need to put that alert when the user clicks the submit button, so in the Rpt Escapes:: Before Form Value, I changed this:
