Any idea?
You can also catch such timeout exceptions via the portlet error page reference.

What is the best practice to deploy the SharePoint site from test to production environment?
We are beginning to start a new SharePoint 2010 and 2013 development projects, soon developing new features, lists, workflows, customizations to the SharePoint site, customization to list forms and would like to put good practice (that will help in deployment)
in place before going ahead with development.
What is the best way to go about deploying my site from Development to Production?
I am using Visual Studio 2012 and also have Designer 2013...
I have already read that this can be done through powershell, also through visual studio and also via designer. But at this point I am confused as to which are best practices specifically for lists, configurations; workflows; site customizations; Visual studio
development features; customization to list forms etc. You can also provide me reference to links/ebook covering this topic.
Thanks in advance for any help.Hi Nachiket,
You can follow below approach where the environments has been built in similar fashion
http://thesharepointfarm.com/sharepoint-test-environments/
if you have less data then you can use http://spdeploymentwizard.codeplex.com/
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/sharepoint/en-US/b0bdb2ec-4005-441a-a233-7194e4fef7f7/best-way-to-replicate-production-sitecolletion-to-test-environment?forum=sharepointadminprevious
For custom solutions like workflows etc you can always build the WSP packages and deploy across the environments using powershell scripts.
Hope this helps.

[EJB:011055]Error deploying the EJB with error that JNDI name already inuse
Hi,
I have written a trivial application consisting of 4 stateless beans and 1 MDB. The ear is developed from some code generator tool and works fine if I directly deploy on weblogic server 812.
But in order to learn Weblogic Workshop I created new Application and EJB project. Then I imported the EJB jar and provided other source files.
From Weblogic Workshop I could generate the ear successfully. But while trying to deploy the ear I get the following exception :
<16/03/2005 10:02:38 PM GMT+05:30> <Error> <Deployer> <BEA-149201> <Failed to complete the deployment task with ID 1 for the application hsbc.

<b>Can someone tell where have I made the mistake?</b>
thanks in advance.Try to undeploy and un target the applcation via WLS console and they try to deploy it again. Or just try to redeploy it.

Error #2032 in Production Environment
We're leveraging BOE to automate the refresh of Xcelsius dashboards. Connecting to Webi via Live Office, which plugs into the Xcelsius template through its data manager. The configuration worked fine in integration server but when it was migrated to the Production Server, we received the famous general error #2032.
We installed the crossdomain xml file correctly, but it did not resolve the issue. We tried to debug using 'Fiddler' but it did not provide any pertinent info, aside from the fact that it wasn't connecting to Business Objects. Has anyone come across this issue in the Production Server?
Any insight would be helpful.
thanks.Hy,

FAQ: Can I use the Photoshop CS6 beta in my production environment?
Although some may find the Photoshop CS6 beta quality good enough to use in a production environment, the nature of beta software is that it is not production quality, so not everything may work as expected. Customers should be aware that Adobe will not offer any technical support for the Photoshop CS6 beta.
Please quit/close Lightroom 4, and any other Adobe software on your system, prior to installing the Photoshop CS6 Extended Beta:
If you encounter the dialog (below) that references the background process named 'dynamiclinkmanager' during installation, please quit Lightroom 4, and any other Adobe software on your system. Then click [Continue] to continue the installation of Adobe Photoshop CS6: -
Automatic Deploying of Portal Configuration from Staging to Production Environment
Hello,
I'm anlyzing the opportunituy to write an automatic procedure that synchronize
our WebLogic Portal production environment with the staging one. These two environments
are physically separated.
I have found the BEA Propagation Tool. However it seems that is not possible to
define a procedure that is really totally automatic.
Firts of all, it is necessary to hava an manual operator that selects the objects
that have to be propagated and after starts the propagation process.
Besides it is necessary to have database connections beetween the progation tool
and both the environments.
What I'm looking for is a solution that
1. analyze the staging environment
2. export some files that contain both code, configuration and data (code, LDAP
and DB data)
3. import these files into the second enviroment
has someone deal with this problem?
Thans in advance
CiaoManish,
to answer your questions -
1. You can find the exact date and time for these refreshes/maintenance schedule on your production pod. Just go to 'Training & Support' in your production. There will be a calendar in which you can see the maintenance schedule. The details are quite accurate. to be sure of the time I would suggest you get in touch with the Service/Support rep at Oracle.
2 & 3) Oracle CRM On Demand provides a Migration Tool that can be used to migrate configuration changes from on POD to another. This can be between Staging --> Production and vice versa. Although, I would recommend that you go through the migration tool bookshelf and understand in detail the use of this tool. There are limited configurations that can be migrated. So it would be wise to create a plan based on what changes you are looking to migrate.
Note: Reports are copied on the Staging after the refresh only from Prod to Staging. This does not happen from Staging to Production. Reports will have to be created in Production and will be copied on Staging on a Quarterly basis (Check your refresh schedule)
4) You can use the migration tool to migrate configuration changes from a live environment into another instance.
The migration tool can be downloaded from:
Admin --> Import and Export Tools -->Oracle Migration Tool On Demand
You can download the Migration Tool Bookshelf here:
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E22393_01/books/OnDemMigrTool.pdf

Need your help with the following 3 error messages that now appear on my PDF document.
Hi all,
I have been working on a PDF document for university for the last 4 months. Its a PDF document which I have been filling in as I go along and saving without any problems.
Today however I try to open it for work and this is what I get in succession...
"This document enabled extended features in Adobe Reader. The document has been changed since it was created and use of extended features is no longer available. Please contact the author for the original version of this document"
"An error exists on this page. Acrobat may not display the page correctly. Please contact the person who created the PDF document to correct the problem"
"The font 'GTAJBY +Bliss-Regular' contains a bad /BBbox."
This has never done this before and even when I tried to open my backup file it did the same.
Can someone please help me? I have so much work thats potentially lost on this....
(Also, I am not much of a computer head, so please keep it in layman's terms)
Thanks in advance everyone...I am having same problem with a 2011 year tax PDF fill in form I JUST got from IRS website.
The actual form is the 2011 8829.

Help with the automatically generated .mov
I'm using IMovie 4. Each movie project, once saved, automatically generates a .mov file of the project, with an amazingly small file size, 720 X 480 dimensions, and fantastic resolution.
I was able to upload and embed one such file into my personal webpage, and it plays just fine. You can see it at http://smalldance.org. It's only 164 KB, which I love.
My issue is that the file is easily found by viewing the page source, and therefore easily stolen. So I would like to be able to hide this file by putting it on something like Facebook or Vimeo or even (ugh) YouTube.
For some reason, these sharing sites will not upload the file. They go through the process and claim success, then the file either shows up as nothing, or doesn't show up at all. Any ideas?
If I do have to export via Share, how do I limit the file size and still have a resolution worth viewing? The 320 pixel compression I generated was 5MB!! Unacceptable! Microscopic and at the same time space-consumptive. How do others do it?
Thanks in advance! That small .mov file is called a "reference movie", because it just "references" the original footage on YOUR hard drive. Because of that, it can't be played on any computer except your own.
So I can't see your movie at all, and no-one else can.
Welcome to the hard facts of video compression: The files are huge. Even the DV footage in iMovie is compressed at a rate of 13GB per hour.
How long is your movie (in minutes and seconds)? If it's about 3 minutes or so, 5MB is small.

How do perform error handling in production environment?
Hi,
I am using CKM and flow control true, tp trace the invalid records while moving data from File to DB. For all invalid records it make n entry in E$_ Table.
But when I correct the record in file and if its success full, those error gets deleted... I want to keep those error as a history?? How can i do that?
Secondly, If there is an error records in E$ table..and when i run next time.. Will it insert only the error records or entire file again???????????????
Thanks:)To your first question,
Yes this can be achieved by amending the CKM. You can remove the step to 'delete previous errors' and make sure that the 'DROP_ERROR_TABLE' option is not set to 'true', therefore all errors will remain in the E$ table even if they have been loaded.
Your second question is dependent on what you are trying to achieve and how.
Are you using IKM incremental update/control Append to load your data?
You may want to have the RECYCLE_ERRORS' set to false on your IKM, then the previously error'ed records will not be re-inserted to your I$ table.
Your third point is basically due to to incorrect model definition in ODI and probably your target database. This is not an error in ODI terms but incorrect data modelling.

How to stop execution after generating error message in an error handler?
I am working on ALSB 3.0.I have a proxy consisting of 2 stages in a pipeline pair. I have error handlers for each of the stages. The first stage contains schema validation action. Whenever the schema validation fails, control should transfer to error handler.
The error handler has a publish action and in request action I am calling an xquery transformation to generate error message.Publish action should publish message to a jms based business service configured. My questions are:
1. After getting into the error handler, the first alert msg configured inside request action (of publish action) is generated.Subsequent actions to generate error xml message and to replace the contents of errorXml in $body are not executed. And so no error message is generated or published.
2. I have also configured a reply with failure. Inspite of that, the control shifts to next stage in request pipeline and execution continues.
Can anyone tell me where I need to do the corrections.
Cheers.

Editing the discussion forum portlet
Hi,
I've just deployed the discussion forum portlet from portal center, and am using it in a portal. But, how can I remove the big Oracle Logo that is displaying in the portlet?
Best regards
Eva SvenssonHi Evan,
Are you talking about OracleAS Provider for Jive Forums?
If you are, then you can remove the logo by going to:
htdocs/launchLink.jsp
and modify the table tag which has a reference to the logo(images/logo.gif)
thanks,
Harsha
