HELP! Gateway stops accepting new connections

Config: PS6.1 on Solaris 9 (Sparc), seperate gateway on Solaris 9 (Sparc) The PS6.1 was migrated from a PS3.0 installation, The machines are V240 with 2GB RAM and 4GB swap.
I start the GW with: ./S43gateway -n default start debug
Several minutes after startup (it varies from 1 to 40) I get the following message:

        <<no stack trace available>>The OutOfMemoryError will keep coming out for a while, why it stops, I don't know. When this does happen, the java process is only using about 220MB of RAM and only about 10 users are logged-in.
This was working fine until we changed the IP of the gateway and moved its ethernet connection to "outside" the firewall. I re-installed the gateway software to make sure I didn't miss anything other than platform.conf. I have the webproxy enabled for the bookmarks channel and that is working. I have holes in the firewall for the proxy, LDAP and HTTPS ports.
Any ideas?

The gateway has to be tuned substantially to get good performance.
The tuning needs to be based on your load
e.g how many netlet connections, how many concurrent users you expected to handle etc ..
the default min heap size and max heap size need to change it. You can go upto a max of 2 Gb but I would recommend starting with a smaller heap size of 500 M and see how your performance goes.
The min and max heap size should always be the same for better performance. If your using netlets then you have to change the thread parameter. Each netlet connection uses two threads so if your using a large number of netlet connections then your thread count needs to 500 at a minimum to support 200 concurrent netlet sessions. Increasing the thread pool will also use more memory as each thread uses a min of 512 K of memory. The thread stack size needs to be set to 128 K.
These are the initial things to start with, you can also set jvm option -verbose:gc to enable gc logs. This will show memory usage.

That is an unusual situation that you are presenting.
Have you updated from 12 to 12.1 via the project's Help Menu/Update? If not, please do so.
Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer with Premiere Elements 12 on Windows 8.1 presumed 64 bit?
The usual drill
a. What is your project preset? What are the properties of your sources media? What is the brand/model/settings of the camera recording your mp4 and jpeg.
What are the pixel dimensions of these jpeg images and how many of them are there in the project (especially when the problems set in).
b. What is the size/duration of your Timeline content when the program no longer accepts new files?
c. Describe status of your computer resources. Also, where are the Scratch Disks directed and how much free hard drive space is at that location(s)?
Troubleshooting for Unexpected/Unexplained project problems...Deletion of the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file and, if necessary, the whole 12.0 Folder in which it exists.

and in the 12.0 Folder is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you delete. If that does not work, then delete the whole 12.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists. Be sure to be working with Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the complete path cited.
Let us start from the above and then decide what next.

WRT300N Stopped accepting wireless connections

I have a WRT300N, and last night, my roommates lost wireless connection. Our SSID still shows up in the site survey, with excellent strength, but the router has apparently stopped accepting wireless connections.
We have reset the router twice, reset to factory defaults, upgraded the firmware, reconfigured the wireless setup and they still cannot connect. Even when we turned off security, the connection process just times out.
It seems to me like the router is broadcasting the SSID, but the part that "listens" for incoming connections is broken.
What could be wrong? The router is only about 6 months old.

Hi... it seems to be a weird issue after firmware upgrade it should resolved the problem... anyways logon to router's setup page, try changing radio band to wide 40 Mhz, wide channel to 9, standard channel to 11, go to advanced wireless settings and reduce beacon interval to 50, fragmentation and RTS threshold to 2304 and setup WPA wireless security check whether it works or not and let me know...

ICloud not accepting new connections

my iTunes library has been working just fine though my mac air, now for some reason iTunes won't connect to the iCloud and play anything, music tv, nothing? all it does is occasionally tell me that iCloud in not accepting any new connections?
help please?

Stopped accepting wireless connections

Over night (sometime between 5:17AM and 8:30 AM CST) my Time Capsule (firmware version 7.3.2, model MB277LL/A) simply stopped allowing wireless connections. The problem was solved by rebooting (power cycling) the TC, but I give a detailed report below in case someone sees something similar or actually understands what the cause of the problem was.
During the problem, the TC continued to work fine over the wired network. This included, Time Machine backups, logging to my syslog server, and everything else one might expect. It also continued to advertise the SSID wirelessly. But attempts to join the (WPA, shared private key) network failed.
I first noted the failure with my iPhone, which I worked on rebooting and such, but later saw that every wireless device in the house failed to connect with some sort of timeout. Again, the wireless network was seen, but all connections failed early on. (I think that it was before authentication. The error on the iPhone was "couldn't connect to network ewd" and the error from a Macbook was "... Timeout", but it happened very quickly). Also the syslog logs from the TC didn't report any failed log in attempts (but did continue to report things like time (ntp) adjustments so it was logging properly).
I checked the configuration using AirPort Utility.app and everything looked fine. Display light was also solid green (I even asked someone in the house with normal color vision to confirm that). Finally, I just gave up and power-cycled the thing, which seems to have resolved the problem.
Note that it hadn't been off since I installed the UPS that it is on (about four months ago). It was warm, but not excessively.
One bit of speculation may have been with channel selection. I noticed that the signal this morning was also registered as weaker than typical. Also there appears to be a new wireless hub in the neighborhood (with no password). Finally, before the reboot the TC was using channel 6 while after the reboot it is using channel 9.

I never meant this to be a question. But I didn't notice the "unmark as a question" button until well after my 15 minutes were up.
As I said, rebooting the TC fixed the problem. I'm still curious about what happened, but it probably shouldn't be listed as an open question for forum statistics.

IPhoto has stopped accepting new and old photos.

I have a 15" Macbook Pro thats about a year old running the newest version OS-X Tiger (10.4 I think it is).
With:
2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
2 GB 667 MGz DDR2 SDRAM
Ok, my problem came to me tonight when I tried to organize my iPhoto library. Through the Macintosh HD>Pictures>iPhoto Library>Originals>2008>...I started renaming folders and moving .jpg's of various images into folders that would make more sense and be easier for myself to find. So rather than the folder Roll 45 I would rename it to something that would reflect the contents of the folder such as drawings, kayaking, etc.
The problem originally came about when there was a series of photos I had, every time I tried to view them instead of the picture I would get a question mark. And once I renamed all the folders and put the pictures where I wanted them, none of them started working (all showed up as question marks). All the photos under the 2007 folder still work.
So I think this has something to do with me renaming and moving everything, meaning the computer is looking for a folder that no longer has that name or has been deleted.
To try and solve this I moved all the photos in iPhoto that weren't working to the iPhoto trash, then emptied it. Then tried to re-import all the photos in their newly organized folders. And thats when I get an error that says exactly this: "The following files could not be imported (they may be an unrecognized file type or the files may not contain valid data)" then it gives me a list of all the files and their path that I tried to import.
I even tried this with new photos and it still wasn't working.
However, I have noticed that i'm able to import photos directly from my camera into iPhoto without a problem. But if I rename the folder name automatically the photos stop showing up. But if I put the name back to what I originally named it when first importing the photos everything will work again.
Now that I know the problem came about when I renamed folders, my question is now, How do I get the photos back into iPhoto without getting this error message? Theres no way I can go back to what everything was originally named, I did too much to remember.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You don't need to burrow into the iPhoto Library package via the Finder to find photos for use outside iPhoto. Read Terence Devlin's treatise on file access for use outside of iPhoto. It's the best explanation of how to do what you want available.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There's now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

Project stops accepting new audio

I have an issue with importing and recording audio into a project. Everything works fine at first then something happens and all NEW audio files fail to play. The audio added previously still works and new audio files are visible (and even cause ducking if that option is selected) but there is no actual sound from teh new files. This is true for voiceovers straight into the program and for audio dropped in - including audio files that are used elsewhere in the project successfully. Once the problem starts I simply can't get any new audio into the project. The best solution I've found so far is starting a new project. There has to be a better way so please if anybody has a clue let me know.

Look for an audio clip (voiceover, music, or sound effect) with the following icon:
Delete that clip.

New connections stop working after 31 hours of computer uptime.

I have been using a pppoe connection since I installed archlinux in 2006. This works very well. a network cable is connected to my computer and I use it to dial a pppoe connection. I never had any problems with it.
But a while ago, I thought I would share this connection with my phone so I got a router out of the closet. the ISP's cable is connected to the router now. then my computer is connected to the router with a cable and gets a connection through the router's DHCP server. the phone establishes a wireless connection to the phone.
the lease time is 9 hours.
Now after exactly 31 hours, current connections on computer continue to work (existing downloads) but the computer stops doing new connections. so I cannot browse the internet.
/etc/rc.d/network restart doesn't help
restarting the router doesn't help.
only a computer restart does. how can I troubleshoot the problem?
if I connect the cable directly to my network card at this stage, I can dial the pppoe connection and use internet. it's only connections router through 192.168.1.1 that stop working.
PS. I don't have a windows installation so I have no idea where the problem lies.

some notes:
1. rmmoding the network card driver and modprobing it again doesn't help
2. I hibernated for 10 minutes and I was able to extend it by 10 minutes. I actually did try this once before too. I hibernated for an hour and I was able to extend it to 32 hours (31 awake time + one hour hibernation).
3. http://192.168.1.1 will still open.
4. I have to do traceroute -I or -T. router seems to block traceroute without arguments or traceroute -U.

SQL Server Express 2008 no longer accepting remote connections

Last night our SQL Server Express 2008 (running on Windows 2003 server) stopped accepting remote connections.
1. We restarted the SQL Server -- no resolution.
2. We rebooted the host Windows 2003 server - no resolution.
3. telnet localhost 1433: says Could not open connection to the host on port 1433... connection failed.
4. netstat -an indicates that the server is not listening on port 1433
5. SQL Server Network Configuration -> Protocols for SQLEXPRESS2008A -> (properties) -> TCP-IP (enabled), Listen All (yes)
6. SQL Native Client 10.0 Configuration -> Client Protocols -> (properties) TCP-IP (enabled), Default port (1433)

Mac mail will not accept new messages

been working fine but after trying to send a big photo file, MacMail stopped accepting new messages and requires minutes to send out new messages. I have checked and rechecked all parameters. help!

Have you quit and reopened Mail?
Empty the Mail cache in your Home Folder Library>Caches>com.apple.mail>Cache.db. Just move Cache.db out to the Trash -- not the enclosing folder -- with Mail closed. Don't empty the Trash. If it doesn't help, then just put it back.

I cannot deleted. Computer keep telling that my dropbox is open. Don't see how to shot it off. Do I need to delete all pictures from dropbox first and delete application after. Will I loose all these pictures? Usually, I copy all photos to iphoto app.

Start with this section, and work your way down if needed.
Basic troubleshooting
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and then on again.
Verify that you are in range of your Wi-Fi router or base station.
Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and Cable/DSL modem are connected to power and turned on.
Check whether other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware.For AirPort Base Stations, refer to this article for information about firmware updates. For third-party Wi-Fi routers, check the manufacturer's website for details on updating your firmware.
Restart your iOS deviceHold the On/Off button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the On/Off button to turn it back on.
